This place is AMAZING!!! Best steak of my life!!! Not only was the atmosphere pretty much the coolest ever, the food was melt in your mouth and I'm not even exaggerating. Would go back again and again. Highly recommend!! Priced accordingly and on the high side but so worth it!

The ambiance here is spectacular! The staff was very friendly and polite. Food menu isn't huge but they offer quite a bit. I ordered the prime rib Benedictine and the wife ordered the petite sirloin. I would absolutely get it again! I have never had prime rib that is charbroiled and covered in hollandaise and mushrooms! Holy cow! The sirloin had a ton of flavor and perfectly tender. I ate the mashed potatoes plain as they were wonderful as well without gravy. I would absolutely visit again and again!

Our server was awesome (Greg). Everyone else's food was good. Unfortunately my steak was undercooked (I ordered it medium- juices should run clear with a pink center). They took it back, threw it back on the grill, still undercooked. The manager literally came out with a flashlight saying it could be the dim lighting, but I pointed out there was still blood on the plate. The manager brought the same steak out again for the third time, put it on the table, and walked away without saying anything. This time it was like a dry overcooked lump of nasty. The manager never came back over. For a nicer steak house, we expected better. And the kicker, I'm pregnant and didn't get to eat! At least they took it off the bill. I'd give 2.5 stars, but I can't, so they can have 3 because the server was great.

A really unique experience! The ambiance was amazing! A combination of vintage architecture combined with the monastery theme led to the feeling of stepping into a different era. The food itself was of an exceptional taste and quality. As far as service it to was on par with the rest of the encounter.

This is my favorite steakhouse. Perfect cook on my steak, fantastic service, great salad bar. Plus, the design of the restaurant is unique and romantic. I love the themed dining spaces, like the library, chapel, and wine cellar, and the Gregorian chant playing in the parking lot. Even when it's packed, it's never too noisy. Don't skip dessert! The raspberry bread pudding is worth saving room!

Wife and I went here for our 1 year anniversary after our friends told us about this place. The atmosphere is awesome. Dimmed lighting and there is a relaxed feeling about this restaurant. Our server Sarah was wonderful. Food is excellent. We ordered NY strip and it was cooked to perfection. Their salad bar is also great. It comes with any entree. We will be going back! One of the best steaks we have had. Also we made a reservation at 7p and got there way before that time and the host made sure we could get seated even though we were way early. Great experience here.

We were directed here by the servers/bartenders at Dundee Dell and they nailed it. The vibe is... interesting, but I much prefer the goofy monastery/monk motif to the overly-swanky feel many steakhouses seem to go for now. But what matters? My old fashioned was spot-on and my Rib-Eye (no bone, 12 oz, $32) was cooked perfectly and delicious. Salad bar and sides were delicious as well. Our server was friendly and efficient. Overall a fantastic meal.

I will start off by saying that most importantly, the food is amazing! The filet was the best I have ever had. Melts in your mouth. Very cool restaurant with a monastery theme. The wait staff wears monk robes. Inside is dark and romantic with several private rooms. There is a decent salad bar and wine selection. Desserts are pretty good. Try the strawberry shortcake and lemoncake.

This place is a killer bargain. I got a delicious ribeye steak cooked perfectly which also comes with green beans and a side of your choice. You also get a full salad bar and bread with butter for $30. The atmosphere is definitely unique as well as it feels like you are eating in an ancient priest’s temple. I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a great Omaha steak at a great price.

Overall the food was good. Had party of 8 and one meal (chicken breast) was mediocre. Steaks we're very good. Had not been there for a few years and service was not what I remembered it to be. Had 7:15pm reservation and we were not seated until almost 8:00pm. Had to ask at 7:40pm how long it would be. Manager or staff should have been more on top of the delay. Took a long time to get each meal course. May try them again for dinner but probably not for awhile.

First time dining at Brother Sebastian's with my wife we had high expectations after hearing many good things about the restaurant. The unique layout offers a private dining experience. Our food did not disappoint, I would put their prime rib up against any other restaurant in Omaha. The only damper on the evening was our server could have been more attentive. Will definitely visit again.

You can't go wrong with this place in my experience when going there. Place can fit the bill for formal or casual dining and the food and service was exceptional during our most recent visit. We ordered 2 ribeye steaks and my wife's came out tasting and looking not like a ribeye. They cooked her another steak and I was done eating by the time hers came out. So it was not a very enjoyable dinner. One of the managers came and talked to us, I would expect to at least get a discount for poorly cooked steak...but nothing. We won't be going back to this restaurant any time soon. On a positive note, the waitress was very nice and did a great job.

Unfortunately I'm not sure I can overly recommend this place. I stay in Omaha a lot on business so I'm lucky enough to eat out a lot in local restaurants. The surroundings The building is nice inside and a lot of effort has gone into making the inside have a nice theme. The food. There's no denying it the foot here isn't cheap but unfortunately it just doesn't match up to the price. We visited with a party of 12 and about 50% of our steaks were undercooked. All of the sides are very basic, with no imagination, not what you'd expect when a starter main and a single alcoholic drink with tip comes to nearly $67. Overall the food wasn't awful, but it wasn't mind blowing either. The service The poor waitress seemed significantly over worked. We were in a private space and this left us with very little service at all, with rare visits meaning our 2 course meal went on for over 3 hours! The restaurant doesn't have any digital tills either just stone age calculators which clearly massively inhibited the waitresses when it's anything more than a basic bill to pay. Overall a distinctly average restaurant but with an unwarranted premium price tag. Get the basics right and you would have had a higher score!

I like the music playing above the front door, and the decor and waitress uniforms. The ambiance was nice. The lighting could be a bit higher though. The food was delish although the steak was undercooked, but still good! The waitresses were very attentive. Over all, I would go back for a special occasion. (Sorry the pictures are dark, the lighting was too low even after we requested they turn them up in the room we were in)

We were a group of 4 tonight at Brother Sebastian's for dinner. Nicole was our waitress and she was excellent. She was polite, professional, friendly, and our entire order came out perfectly. Three of us had prime rib. If you like beef, order this. It is undoubtedly the BEST prime rib, possibly anywhere. We all ordered ours medium rare. It was absolutely perfect. Normally I would order a baked potato with this, but tonight I tried the mashed. They are exceptional. I also upgraded from the green beans that were to come with it, to the asparagus. The 4th person ordered a New York strip steak, also medium rare. All 4 of us loved our meals and were exceedingly pleased with our choices. For dessert, 2 of us shared the lemon cake which was nice, but not as good as the raspberry bread pudding the other 2 shared. Desserts are large here. Share. They are pretty much a serving for 2, not a single serving. Oh! Almost forgot the salad bar! Best one in town and it comes with your meal. Fully stocked, completely fresh, spotlessly clean. If I could give this review 6 stars, I would. So, so good.

Serving delicious and perfectly prepared prime rib and steaks in a unique setting. Even those who are not in the mood for beef will find the other menu items appealing. The place has rich paneling and tasteful decor is based on the classic monastery with various dinning areas exploring different elements of this theme. I enjoyed taking a stroll through to view all the different areas such as the library, the fireplace room and the star lit chapel to name a few. The food was excellent. I had the prime rib with mushrooms and hollandaise on the side. It was thick and perfectly medium rare.(Refer to my photos and videos) The salad bar was fresh and bountiful with many leafy greens and toppings and various homemade dressings. Wife brought me here to relive her glory days from college. It was everything you might expect from a quirky little steakhouse disguised as a monastery in a hidden old strip mall. The steaks were exactly as they should be. Very tasty. The atmosphere is where it really shines. Once your inside you're in a different world. Nooks, books, barrels and cozy fires around corner. I enjoyed it very much.

While I understand they may have been having an “off night”, an Omaha establishment with such a high reputation should be prepared for any contingency. What I cannot forgive is the lack of professionalism on the part of the server. When an allergy was pointed out, the plate should have been removed from the table. None of the filets were cooked to order, drinks were not refilled, and the server never returned to ask if everything was satisfactory after the allergy mention. A good server could have easily diffused the situation. The manager did apologize and try to make things right, but this was our first experience and our last.

Delicious steak, and the best I've had in Omaha ( out of mostly all the steak joints, too!) Waiter was fantastic, didn't charge for food we didn't like ( it was great quality and made well, but more for refined tastes.) Want to impress company with the best steak in Omaha? Perfectly medium rare! Take your company here! Call ahead to make reservations... I'd give it a few days out at most, but they may have stand by. Always call ahead, no matter the joint. Be smart!

This place is a true hidden gem of Omaha Nebraska. I almost don’t want to write a review and attract more attention to it because it’s busy enough and I love it. We’ve been here lots of times and it just never disappoints. From the true salad bar with unlimited fried onion bits and bacon with homemade ranch to the steak and the seafood. Let’s not forget about the amazing martinis with fantastic blue cheese stuffed olives. It is all amazing! You can show up here in a suit or dress or jeans and a T-shirt and either way you will fit in. Don’t be put off by the monks singing over the loudspeaker when you get out your car or at the massage parlor a couple of doors down… This place is amazing! You might even be lucky enough to have The owners wife as your waitress. She is just as sweet as can be and she will suggest the cinnamon caramel cheesecake for dessert which is 100% correct! Enjoy! Cool ambiance at this steak House. Above average steaks. I liked how each room was decorated differently and was themed. The servers wear robes similar to what I'd expect monks to wear. The salad bar was fine. I don't think I'd order it on its own but it's fine if the addition doesn't cost too much ($3.75 in this case but that also is your one size) or its Included in the meal. We enjoyed the lobster bisque, filet and the prime rib very much. Their sides that I tried were very average. I was very happy at how rare I got my prime. Most places have it medium rare, but this was exceptionally rare! (Yes it's a double entendre) There was an issue with a few fruit flies congregating near the aged balsamic. I do have a picture but I didn't post them here. Parking is available outside in a shared lot.

The atmosphere here is very nice. Their small booths on the other hand, are not. Trying to fit into them comfortably as a larger person was difficult. My husband and I both had the King Cut for the prime rib and it was very good. Great flavor and tenderness. However, their mashed potatoes were mostly tasteless and bland. You could definitely tell they were the instant kind. I would certainly not reccomend choosing them. Go with a baked potato instead. I enjoyed the garlic butter topping for my prime rib, and my husband had the seafood topping for his. Their salad bar is great. A lot like the one at The Drover.

We had a reservation so we were seated right away. We were in the Library room, right next to the salad bar. The atmosphere you could say was romantic. Low lighting with individual lights for each table along with a fireplace burning in the corner. Our waitress made some drink commendations and our party of four got our drinks quickly. Fresh baked bread, my kryptonite! The salad bar was nice, instead of a generic chef salad we could add egg, cheese, other veggies, and nine or ten dressings. We got our food soon after. Glazed carrots were the veggie of the day along with my mashed potatoes and Peppercorn New York Strip. I got my carrots without the glaze and they came nicely cooked, not too hard and not mushy either. Mashed potatoes had good flavor by themselves and were not too gummy or runny. The steak. Ahh the steak. A nice medium and drizzled with a peppercorn gravy/sauce. Tender and yummy with a little extra spice from the peppercorn. Yum. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. When the elderly couple across from us got up to get their salad bar, the lady couldn't find her cane and our waitress got it for her from off the floor. She was patient with us even when we couldn't decide on a desert and made sure we stayed topped up on our drinks. Service was an A+ from her and the other staff we interacted with. Food was delicious, service was great, and although pricey, was a fun experience. We will be going back!

I had the dinner fillet, butterfly cut and medium. Everyone knows that the fillet doesn’t have the rich taste of a ribeye or New York and that is why it is often seasoned or wrapped with bacon. This one was neither. As far as the fillets that I’ve had over the years this one was rather bland. Oh it was tender and cooked properly but it wasn’t a pleasant experience overall. The atmosphere was nice though nothing to write home about. All in all, largely forgettable. I will say that the manager stopped by to make sure that we were happy with our meal, which I’m always pleased with.

I came to Brother Sebastian's on Valentine's Day weekend and made reservations ahead of time. As I walked in there was music outside playing that was kind of cryptic. It added to the atmosphere which I thought was kind of cool. Walking in we were greeted by two girls who looked a bit overwhelmed. The place was a bit dark but the atmosphere and setting were fantastic. The wall decorations and lighting added to the experience. We were sat down in a booth and everything went pretty smoothly. I ordered the prime rib and a couple drinks. The service was absolutely excellent, I felt like my presence was actually important to them. One gentleman walked over to us and politely asked us how we were doing, it was a nice touch. The overall service was one of the best I've had in Omaha. The food on the other hand was a bit overpriced. The prime rib was good but it wasn't something I feel I would happily pay $30 for again. It's not that it wasnt good, it just wasn't anything out of the ordinary that justified the price. The shrimp scampi I ordered as an appetizer was covered in melted cheese that didn't compliment the dish at all. I ended up putting the cheese aside as it began to cool and become rubbery. I just ate the 5 small little shrimp soaked in 5 separate little pools of butter. It was a dish that just didn't make sense to me. It should be modified. I'd give this restaurant a 5/5 for service. The staff was welcoming and the waiter checked up on us plenty of times. 5/5 for setting and atmosphere. This place is unique and definitely worthy of an award for the decor. I would add that some of the wine bottle decorations need to be cleaned as all of them were covered in dust. 4/5 for food. The food was good but it had no wow factor to it. The presentation and taste did not justify the price. The shrimp scampi was a bit of a disappointment. I would definitely love to come back here again and try something new. It was an memorable experience and would recommend for anyone looking for something different in terms of setting and atmosphere. Try, to avoid the shrimp scampi.

The steak was excellent, and let's face it, if you are in Omaha you must eat steak. The restaurant was interesting, with great decor resembling an old monastic library. At the door, greeted by the mournful incantations of the brothers Sebastian. It was certainly more interesting than the somewhat utilitarian dining of most Omaha eateries.

We always enjoy coming here. Everyone is so nice, and the food is amazing. The atmosphere is really cool, with it feeling like you’re in an old, fancy building. They start with salad, which is great, as is the salad bar. The bread they bring out is also top notch in omaha; easily elite. The steak here is insane, as is most steak in omaha, since we are a cattle state. I always love coming here, and hope I’ve reached the 200 character mark so I can unlock a new badge.

The ambience is unique, and will likely make a good experience great or a ho him experience at least memorable. However, the food is fantastic and expertly prepared. I love seeing establishments that can span generations with love and endearment. Brother Sebastian’s is certainly one of those places.

Maybe I'm spoiled by capital grille's high quality of steaks and service but every time I've been to Omaha I have to admit I've been pretty underwhelmed by the classy steak joints. Stake quality is below prime and I've had difficulty even getting the right temperature on my meat when I order. On my last visit to brother Sebastian, I ordered the ribeye medium rare when it was served to me it had large chunks of non rendered fat and the meat itself was quite rare. I then asked the server if I could just change my plate to top sirloin instead which the manager himself accommodated my request. They cooked it to the same temperature as my first request however it was still in that medium rare and quite raw. I actually ended up not even eating my steak and filled up on the salad bar instead. 34 some dollars for the salad bar and sweet potato is a little bit ridiculous in my opinion. On the other hand, the bartender was very friendly and made some pretty good drinks. Considering the cost of living in Omaha and the average wage being a bit lower as well, the steak houses prices seem pretty similar to the twin cities prices and I would expect a much higher quality steak. I have been pretty disappointed overall, The steak cuts and are poor quality for top dollar. Omaha and brother Sebastian really need to step up their game, I didn't really care for Anthony's either it was pretty much the same poor quality for a very high price.

Interesting decor, like a catholic church theme, but very quiet and romantic. The salad bar wasnt anything specail but the prime rib was literally the best I've ever had! If you love steak you need to try this place.
