Nothing like watching morbidly obese racoons struggle to climb 5 feet up a tree to get to your fried chicken scraps. Fighting off other racoons so they don't get to the chicken bits!! Truly majestic

Fun place. I had the raccoon burger, girlfriend had the raccoon steak. Both were awesome. Always thought raccoon meat was illegal, but guess I was wrong.

Let me start with the good. The the chicken and wedges were fantastic. I like the dive bar atmosphere. The raccoons weren't out, but I would have enjoyed that too. We went the day after Christmas around noon, and they ran out of chicken(we got their in time to be served but after use, they were out), macaroni salad and coleslaw. The waitress seemed distracted and preoccupied with a toddler who was running around. While we were enjoying our chicken, a single customer had come in and sat down. He waited at least 20 minutes without being served all while having a clear view of the staff not once acknowledging him even though they said hi to him when he came in the door. The man finally got up and left after never being waited on. The waitress lied and rudely told the leaving customer "I was trying to get back there". We watched her play around with the toddler the whole time this man was ignored. It was horrible to watch. I've heard great things about Alpine Inn, but today was a horrible experience. I will come back for the chicken and hopefully a redemption of the subpar service.

First of all the chicken was worth the long wait. Wait person was great. The only thing that I didn't like was when we left there was a person outside who seemed to be "staking" us out waiting for something to happen. I stared at him and he stared at me. I know he was in the establishment when we first entered. Don't know if he was an employee or a patron. As I drove on down the road looked in the rearview mirror and he got out of his red suv and headed on back into the restaurant. Had my family with me and don't feel comfortable getting into situations like that with all the craziness going around these days. Don't know if I will ever go back but I can say I tried it.

Horrible experience!! This was our first trip here. Arrived at 6:20 and was put on a very short waiting list for a table. There were only 2 of us so we figured we wouldn't be waiting long. Another party of 2 who had arrived after us was seated before us, first red flag. We were seated after 15 minutes and sat at our table for 30 minutes until my husband ask the bartender if we could order since no one bothered to greet us or take our order. Finally a waitress takes our order, apologizes and says she'll get our order in. An hour later, still no food or appetizers. By now we had been sitting for an hour and a half. Really hungry. People who arrived after us all have their food. Finally asked waitress how much longer is our wait. She informs us because she didn't take our order timely it was going to be at least another 30 minutes. I don't care how good the chicken is, 2 hrs is too long. We left and ate somewhere with much better service. Not sure if I'd ever try this place again!

At times the food is good. At times you get to see wild life ( that's ok.). My experience over the years starting in 1983 I have never had a nice welcoming from staff. Came there in 1995 with my fiancé the treatment we had made us leave. Unless your a biker or other, we 5never will go back.

If you want to drink beer and look at raccoons this is your place. Otherwise terrible. My burger bun was burned, chicken bland, fries awful. This is all after waiting an hour and a half for food.

This is a quaint little bar nestled in Ponca Hills. I go once a year since I was a kid. The raccoons and wild life through the big windows is such a joy.

03/09/2019 Let me tell you from experience, we arrived a little before 6pm ( four of us in out family) 6:10 we were greeted, received four glasses of water, no mention of anything else we would like to drink. 6:20 took our order of appetizers and chicken, 6:55 appetizers arrived, as we sat and watched their friends being sat around us including 2 large birthday party one after another at same tables come and go, it became obvious their friends come first on serving and food. At 7:20 I went up to pay for our appetizers and we were going to eat elsewhere when the waitress walked back, grabbed our cold order, took to our table and told my wife, daughter and son in law I was paying for the appetizers only and now we no longer get our food. All four of us were threatened we felt even though the waitress sternly insisted we were not. The chicken was warm, my wife received maybe 10 small cold fries, the waitress brought out another 10 burnt fries, the rest of us received wimpy cold fries. Dessert anyone? Sorry that wasn't offered either, but the friends of theirs sitting next to us who didn't receive their food in 10 minutes, the waitress made sure we heard her tell them sorry the meal is on the house.

If you go in expecting a dive bar with several raccoons and feral cats eating from a pile of slop outside a window, this place will not disappoint! It met all my expectations... only downfall was it took over an hour to get our food (possibly because it was busy but I can not confirm).
