Ehh. It was only alright. The service was friendly and a good pace for a restaurant this size. The setting is cool and seemed like a good fit for large groups. The food, particularly the Verde Burrito, was mediocre at best. If they serve a pulled pork sandwich, they definitely just reuse the pork for the burrito. Go for the Bison Tacos or the ribs as an alternate, if you're going. Cocktail we ordered was pretty great but the witbier was very forgettable.

It was good but they messed up our entire order. Wrong pizza and then no meat on our nachos we ordered. So had to wait while they made the meat and then they brought it out after rest of our nachos got cold and our table was almost half done eating.

Let the other reviews speak for this place. What else can be said about The Tamarack other then how awesome and delicious it is. Some of the best dishes in the Flathead Valley. Literally everything I have tried on their menu has been so unique and good. The nachos are a simple, but personal favorite of mine. Try the Octoberfest burger as well - so good! The blue cheese and garlic fries are also a must with ANY dish. Service is always fast and friendly. This is one of the best places in the whole valley for good food and drinks.

Have been coming here since they opened and love it every time. Coming from Bend Oregon where Breweries and their food is way high on the crafters scale, Tamarack Brewery is as good as any we have at home. The staff has always been exceptional and this trip met all our expectations once again. Cant think of one negative aspect. Except the line of eager customers waiting for their turn. I'll stay in line any day.

Deliciously fresh brews and delectable food make this spot a can't miss when in the area. I can't imagine anyone not having a great experience. I have been many times and have never been let down. This place is AMAZING. We drove 45 minutes just to get there and it was so worth it. The staff was so friendly and the fish tacos were the best I have ever had. The beer selection was great and the atmosphere was just perfect. My kids are still talking about the mac and cheese. We can not wait to come back on our next vacation.

The back patio is awesome, the creek side view is excellent. The flight of their flagships was a great tastes of the standard beers, even if we didn't care for all of them. The food menu was veried, tasty and clearly handmade.

Very lively for a Thursday afternoon, 25 minute wait. Nice beet selection, enjoyed everything I tasted. Had the fish tacos; the fish was good but the taco shell and fillings were cheap. Also served with a tortilla chips and a thimble of economy salsa. I tasted my friend's appetizer and was again surprised to encounter previously frozen ingredients being used. Cool place but not impressed with the food. Will give it another chance.

I had the nachos, chicken tenders and cookies and ice cream and it was all amazing. The food was served quickly and the waitress was polite. I had one of the local beers yard sale amber and it had some good flavor. Definitely worth going to and all the high rated reviews are true about this place.

With so many good reviews, we decided to stop here for hot wings and beer. To say the least we were mightily disappointed! They don't carry any beer except their own craft beers. We ordered the blond beer, which was warm, bitter, and had a bitey finish. We ordered wings and the garlic blue cheese fries. The orders looked good, but the wings were over cooked, hard crust, and tough! The buffalo sauce was generic without any tasty... just hot. The garlic fries were so burnt with garlic that they were not edible. We asked the waitress for tomato juice to tone down the bitterness of the beer, but she never brought it. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Great food and atmosphere. Love their beer. We missed Lanny McDonald by a day as he was in the day before, but was cool to be there. Tamarack’s bottled beer can also be purchased throughout the area and also excellent. Worth taking some home.

The wait staff is so nice. Place is always busy. But I never feel rushed. And wait is never over 10 min. Deck is always fun to sit on. Their is a little creek that runs along it as well. Food is always on point. Leeann, the bartender, always makes amazing drinks. And I am sure the other bartenders do as well. I am just always there when she is. Its a brewery, so you have a wide variety of beers to choose from. I recommend trying their brew bread and dessert cookie. It won't disappoint.

We loved this place! Not only is the beer great, but we had some of the best chicken wings we’ve ever had - you have to try them if you like chicken wings! They were voted number one for he Best chicken wings in Montana! Their fish tacos are great. Great atmosphere for adults and kids alike. Nice outdoors seating and good service. This place is a must if you’re around the Flathead Valley.

My Husband and I came here for our last night of our Honeymoon Roadtrip and the Food, Beer and Service was PHENOMENAL. We can’t get over how good the railroad ties were for an appetizer. We had both their regular flight & seasonal flight so we could try everything, one appetizer and two meals and it came out to be less than $60 which is just amazing! Our server (I didn’t catch her name) but she was Amazing! She was so sweet and gave great recommendations, she was very personable and quick to get us whatever we needed. Out of the 8 states we have visited on our roadtrip and the countless stops we have made. Tamarack was by far one of the best highlights. We can’t wait to come back.

Haven't been the Tamarack in awhile, decided to stop in and grab some drinks and food with the wife. We decided to sit at the bar because the wait was long. Not impressed with our bartender, he was not inventive, we sat for quite some time waiting to be greeted. The bartender seemed more interested in the beer he was sipping behind the bar rather than attend to his customers. We (finally) were greeted by Caleb, and we ordered some beers that were great!! We had a hard time getting refills, again, he seemed too busy talking to other people and drinking. Our food was good, just like we remembered it. We were very happy with the drinks, the food, but were not happy with our service, he was drinking behind the bar, which we found very unprofessional, and he had a lot of smart remarks that I did not appreciate. Eat here, drink here, but beware of the bad service.

Great patio space - right along the creek is a beautiful backdrop and several kids were playing and having fun. Menu was good and the meals we had were high quality at a reasonable price. The beer was great - you must try the seasonal Whiskey Peach Cider - and we were glad we could buy some cans to-go after our meal. I really liked some of the metal tree decor too

Whenever we make it to the other side of the lake from our east side home, we make a point of stopping in here. The food is pretty darn good for being a brewery! They have healthy selections which is a plus and of course there is the beer...yum! The place is spacious with outdoor seating that overlooks Stoner Creek. While you done have views of the lake from here, the ambiance is relaxing and inviting. The large open hearth takes center stage during the colder months and is a favorite place for me to kick back. There is an upper section to this brewery which may provide a lake view but I haven't been up there....all in all it's definitely worth a visit and seeing for yourself!

Would have given them 4 stars but just didnt cut it. High ceilings were bad acoustics, hard to hear conversations and loud without a big crowd. Food was decent, service was excellent. The pickle killed it for me. The curled dry edges are a dead giveaway of re-use. Turned me off from the rest of my meal after seeing it. I dont think I'll be back or ever recommend this place... based on a recycled gross looking pickle. :)

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT!! I've been coming here for 5 years and the service has always been fantastic and the food incredible. The pizza cookie is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The switchback stout BBQ wings are my favourite wings ever! The interior is super nice too!

Nice open atmosphere and friendly wait staff. The food was delicious, however I wouldn't ask for any mixed drinks that aren't on the menu. I ordered a huckleberry long island and it came out tasting like straight vodka. They were nice enough to fix it for me and make it more drinkable. But those who ordered off the menu enjoyed their drinks. Overall, definitely a great place to eat!

This place has a great atmosphere with outdoor seating by the creek surrounded by trees. We had an awesome waitress who was so cool that we invited her to sit down and join us. The artichoke and spinach dip and the ribs were delicious. The coleslaw that came with the ribs was particularly tasty. The bison tacos were also a hit. The only down side was ordering the rock fish dinner special that night. The fish itself was very good, but the portion was super small for $18. The only sides for the rock fish were plain white rice and plain green beans. They could’ve at least added a sauce or something. We ended the meal with a pizza cookie dessert in the cast iron which was also a great choice! As far as beer goes, the ‘ride sally, ride’ and the amber ale were refreshing and went well with the meals. This experience was almost excellent all around.

Had my daughters 21st birthday dinner here and my oh my was it the best decision. Our waitress was beyond excellent and always made sure we had what we needed considering how busy she was. The food was amazing. Huge portions and everyone needed a carry home box. The drinks were perfect, not overpowering and not watered down. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

This is a quite spacious place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has a nice view. The food items look highly priced but the chicken enchiladas we ordered were enough to satisfy two people. They also come with tortilla chips and a creamy dip on the side. And were delicious as well.

My favorite place to eat in the valley! They have a good selection of their own beers, with food inspired by that beer. They have your typical foods like steak, pizza, etc but they also have many items on the menu that are unique. Place is almost always busy so be ready to wait for a seat (enjoy a beer while waiting) especially on weekends. They have a beautiful outside seating area during the summer.

It was very busy when we arrived. We were expecting a long wait to be seated, however we were seated very quickly! The waitress took our drink order promptly. She then returned to take our dinner order. The food arrived fast. It was absolutely delicious and the portions are HUGE! Do yourself a favor and eat here.
