Currently this business has a score of 3.3 stars out of 5 and this rating has been based on 362 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is discreet, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we may think that the valuation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Chinese restaurant.
Hadn't heard great things about the Chinese food selection in West Yellowstone but my friends and I decided to roll the dice and give Red Lotus a whirl. The decor and atmosphere was great, service was polite, and the food was delicious. We were there during lunch so I got the Szechuan Chicken, and it was delightful. I'd definitely come here again.
The decor inside the restaurant was wonderful. Very nice place to have family dinner with kids. The food is very delicious. Prices were reasonable.
I read the reviews, yet my Asian food cravings had to be met. We ordered the tofu and veggies, the red lotus beef, and general tso's chicken. They have a chinese menu, and I saw some of the tourists ordering from it, looked better, had some items that I was more familiar with. I think they should just offer the same food but with English translations underneath. The tofu and veggies was the best dish, the red lotus beef was ok, breaded beef in a sweet sauce, the sauce was a bit too sweet, being an americanized chinese restaurant I was hoping that the general tso's was good. But nope, it was way too much breading and the sauce was too salty and sweet. The worst part? The price, it's super expensive. Was one of our most expensive meals of the whole trip. I'm glad I read the reviews because they stated that the tip is automatically added. However, when you are given the bill that is not explained well, and if you use a credit card there is another line for tip. I could see how if you weren't careful you'd end up double tipping. I'm ok with forcing the tip, but be more clear about it.
Chicken Fried rice is too good. Veggie spring rolls are awesome.
Food decent and tasty but the scallops we ordered was with 6 pieces of tiny tiny scallops. We complained and they added more. For $18 a dish, I was expecting more than 6 pieces of scallops.
It’s really salty and expensive!! Not worth it!
I would absolutely recommend against this place. At first I was disappointed at the cost, I had to request steamed rice for basic dished like Sweet Sour Chicken, and they charged for it. I watched them kick customers out for being dissatisfied. Then 3/4 of us got seriously ill several hours later. Having a background in food safety and food born illness, it was very obvious they served us a questionable dish. I have never had such an illness from foods and I regularly eat with traveling families from all around the world, iniding unfridgerated chicken in central America. Very very unhappy with this place
Good authentic Chinese food. With the amount of tourist from China, they have to be.
Can't believe they gave our table up for other tour group after waiting for over 20 mins. That's the worst customer experience ever.
Surprising excellent Chinese food, with extensive menu and good service.
The service was just okay. Food was not tasty but we are happy to have a Chinese option here in the West Yellowstone.
Busy busy restaurant but food was good
The good is the food. I was in Yellowstone for the week from Chicago with my Chinese wife and in laws, quite picky eaters, and we all agreed this was one of the best Chinese we have had outside of major US cities. Much better than the so/so food at the many Chinese spots we have tried in the rural midwest as a comparison. Very nice spicy fish in boiling pot (off the Chinese language menu), beef and scallion, sautéed Gai Lan among others. We can get better at Chicago's Chinatown, but this was really quite god for the location, and almost entirely filled with vacationing Chinese. And in contrast to what others have said, we had very good service. The bad - the prices. $118 for five dishes. Much more than even Chicago prices. 12.50 for a mid sized plate of sautéed broccoli. 18.00 for the Gai Lan. If we weren't so desperate for Chinese meal we never would have gone there. But to be fair the prices are on the menu, so if you don't like it then don't act surprised. The ugly - as many have mentioned, they charge 15% tip without telling you, which is sleazy. Then they add 3% more for no reason, which is just abusing your customers since there is no sales tax in MT. My interpretation is that they have forsaken the local market and are now 100% focusing on Chinese tourists who know no better. And all that for 3%. They have easily lost a star off their ratings due to this cheap-a$$ trick. I knocked two off mine because it is just so unnecessarily insulting. You have been forewarned.
Food was good but not fantastic
Amazing food and amazing service!!! My sister and I ate here and loved it! I got the Vegetables with Coconut Curry and added tofu it was soooo good!!!
We we shocked to see this many people waiting in line at the entrance. It's like a restaurant in NYC Chinatown. The decoration is definitely among the better ones as a Chinese restaurant. We were seated after about a 10-min wait, not bad considering the amount of people. I think one of the owners came to take our orders and he was pretty nice and helpful. Now the food. The food was...okay. With the prices we expected better and more authentic Chinese dishes. For check-out, you need to walk to the counter and pay that way. The result of that is, since we were sitting near the entrance, there were always people standing next to us waiting to pay. We even had a group of young Europeans from the same table lined up next to us (I think they were splitting the bill). So most of the time it felt very crowded. If you like the atmosphere, this is a good place to go. But food-wise, we had better ones at another Chinese restaurant in the town.
The only good part was the food which was high quality. Let's get to the bad I ordered diet coke, the waitress gave me sprite. Ok, honest mistake. There was a piece of shrimp in the fried rice, which my spouse is allergic. There could have been a hospital trip. We ordered pork chow mein and received chicken chow mein. The worst part is BUYER BEWARE: Our server added her 15%tip to the total bill. She was not a great server and didn't deserve the 15% so I felt very ripped off. What could have been a 3 star review went down to a 1 star as that last one left a very negative opinion of the way they do business.
Authentic, charming and Delicious. This place is now on my must do list for West Yellowstone. After a long day in the National Park. It's totally worth the wait. Best Chinese I've had in years.
Tourist Scam You get the same quality of food for 1/4 of the price in every normal city. Just don’t go there.
Long wait, too noisy and they charge 15% tip included in the bill. This place is mostly focused for bus tours. If you are ok waiting for the bus tour customers to be tended first and also ok with the noise, this is a nice place.
Service was good and fast in a nice atmosphere, otherwise I would give it 3 stars. I didn't care for my snow peas chicken especially, but other dishes looked OK. A good value and alternative to the high priced cowboy food in this tourist town. Anyone complaining about price hasn't tried any other place in town.
I personally thought it was really yummy
If I could rate 0 stars I would. HORRIBLE quality of food, horrible pricing. We got a to-go order for 4 people and it was $65 dollars we got barely any food. None of us finished our meals due to finding bones and terrible taste and quality. Didn't get one of our orders right and it wasn't worth the money or time. AWFUL RESTAURANT.
Service was quick. Food was OK. I would go elsewhere like the Madison Crossing Lounge or the Beartooth Barbecue.
Oasis in the Desert
Fast and nice service. Good chinese food. Gratuity is added by default. Price little high.
Received a massive portion of Singaporean Rice Noodles, but ordered Beef and Gai Lan in Oyster Sauce, and got broccoli instead (of Gai Lan). Guess they didn't want to supply actual Chinese vegetables.
Don't waste your time and money! Worst Chinese restaurant ever! Long waiting line, crazy high price and the dishes are not cleaned and oily. Food is horrible, Mongolian beef is cold, pork is not fresh with disgusting taste!
We had the chili beef and twice cooked pork. Delicious. Huge serves. Speedy service. Price is reasonable.
We ate earlier than most, so we didn't have much of a wait. The food was amazing, the best I've had. I like the vegetarian options and the crab ragoon...complete bliss. It was a nice change from the meat and potatoes everywhere else. I would go there again and again!
First of all the tables are dirty and the plates are overpriced for what it is and they will rarely give you water
Foods are horrible and attitude were so rude!!! Prices are extremely expensive with little bad quality food. If you ever stepped in this Chinese restaurant you will regret for your whole life, actually it cannot be called as Chinese food ever!
Way Expensive...not worth for sure. The food is just ok but nothing spectacular.
This place really served us warmed up frozen food. Noodles was soggy and so salty - just like frozen noodles. All chicken dishes we ordered, smelled and tasted old. Worst part, they included 15 percent gratuity, that looked like taxes, even though we were party of four. Then there was a blank space for tips on the final receipt. Poor food and worst of all - cheating. Would have given zero stars. Never go to this place.
The waiter we had was incredibly rude, self-centred, and unprofessional. The food was pretty mediocre and expensive. Definitely not returning to this restaurant!
Very excellent and fine dining experience. The Mongolian chicken is phenomenal.
The food and the ambience are really nice. Good chinese food near Yellowstone.
We were so glad when this restaurant came to town, my wife and i feel it's the best place in West Yellowstone...thank you Red lotus
Average food, very expensive
Pricey for the take-out food we ordered.
The atmosphere is very nice, it has alot of decorations. But the food isn't that nice. The portions are as small as the plates under your bowl. The taste is fine but it is really overpriced.
I wish I could give zero rating for this restaurant. Last week we ordered some food for carry out and literally trashed everything we ordered. We ordered fried rice and they gave us plastic fried rice. We couldn't taste more than 2 spoons. Will never order from this restaurant again, Very disappointing especially for the price they were charging us. Stay away from this restaurant!
Very busy place not because it's good, but because there were bunch of chinese tour groups. Very noisy and service was not good. Water cups had lipstick marks on it. You will be served hot food on a plastic plate. Food was also very salty. They included 15% tip on the bill and then I've got a credit card bill and the 'tip' line was still there. They can charge you tips double. Be aware! Not recommend at all!
This is best Chinese restaurant in the town. Great service and great food, they are not only serving American Chinese food, but also traditional Chinese food too~~ can’t believe there is a great place in a small town
Good ambience and tasty food.though like other reviewers noted 15% tip is added by default but it is disclosed on the menu.
food was good. service was really good. nice place
I had the worst 牛肉面(beef noodles) that I have ever had! It was literally instant noodles with boiled vegetables with no flavor in it ...... we were not expecting more than a bowl of normal beef noodles...
Food was good but expensive. Family style service. You order your protien and get a portion for three to four average adults. Rice and noodle portions probably good for up to five. It is about 15$ for a plate of anything.
Surprisingly good Chinese food found just outside Yellowstone NP. This restaurant caters to large groups of Chinese tourists. I did not try them but their menu also included many traditional Chinese menu items but made with meats such as Elk and Bison. The decor really was a blend of old west and Chinese, but done in very tastefully.
Food was great. Wait staff was really good too, the portions are a little on the large side if you're dining alone, but I was starving. There was a problem with my order (my fault) and my server was prompt to make things right.
Great Chinese food. Highly recommended.
Friendly and fast service. The food on the other hand wasn’t on par with the rest. The sweet and sour shrimp was over-battered. The rest was just salty our lips are still dry from it.
Nice vegetarian food, friendly staff!
Food is super salty, they don't have kid menu, its not suitable for young kids. We were three people, they added gratuity with the bill, and wrote everything in Chinese so you won't understand and pay them tip again. It just stealing.
Better than most Chinese restaurants i have ever tried in US
The food is excellent, I wasn't to happy that they added gratuity to our bill for a party of four, I normally tip more than the amount they added to our bill. I was very surprised as to how dirty the restroom was.
we went there last week during our trip to yellowstone. the place was pack and we were in waiting list. they seated chinese customers behind us first and I was so mad. despite understanding that this is small town, food was not great. plus service was bad as well. I was planning not to leave tips for discrimination but they already charged the tips. bad service, bad food, and bad attitude. never again.
It exceeded my expectation for the location. The style is a bit weird but the taste is nice. Elk and bison taste very good. Good string beans as well. The seafood soup is not good. The Guangzhou chef does not use pepper corn in Mapo tofu, but the taste is still fine.
Poor quality overpriced food. McDonald's has tastier better quality good. A tourist trap rip off. Pass!
We found a little piece of heaven in West Yellowstone! If you are a vegetarian you cannot beat the veggie options here. The food was amazing and service was great. I had a tofu dish in red sauce which was outstanding - flavorful but not too spicy. My daughter had the home style tofu and the veggies were so crisp and fresh. When we go back to West Yellowstone, this will be our first restaurant of choice.
Everyone was happy with lunch. Even my picky eater.
Super busy with tours, but the food was wonderful.
Delicious food, super friendly and great service! Very large servings, plenty for leftovers!
Honestly, I have never been here, but as a local, I am aware that this restaurant was caught for serving road kill, not to mention, keeping illegal black bear gall bladders in the kitchen...and I can't, for the life of me, understand why the state of montana. I tried to post an article from the billings gazette, but could not post the link here, but if you google, billings gazette red lotus, you will see it. There are too many chinese restaurants in town, and all of them have a reputation for being unclean, with health code violations.
Very pleased with our experience. May 5th at noon and the food and service was great. We had the sweet and sour pork lunch menu and paid the extra $1.00 for the fried rice. Both soups were delish. My 10 year old is our true test. She loves egg drop soup and has turned her nose up at several restaurants, but she loved the corn (egg drop) soup. Even told me to include that in my review. There was not a tip automatically added to the bill, like many has said, so we left a 20% for good food and service.
Would give a zero for this restaurant. Extremely expensive, food tasted is just okay, super salty. Not understand how can this restaurant be still opened, just because this restaurant is close to Yellowstone park?
It was hard to find a Chinese restaurant in this area and that's why I gave a four star.
Good food, quick service. Friendly staff, little on the high side..
Our waiter was nice. Service was horrible. There was about 7 teenage girls standing around doing nothing while out party of 5 was all out of water for some time. Food came out almost immediately after we ordered. Very expensive. Average Chinese food. Can get same expact quality food and service at a dollar scoop in larger towns. This was basically $17 a scoop. Won't go back.
Too expensive and they double tipped themselves and did not show you
Great food, great service!
The food was awful. The kong pao chicken was the worst in my life....
This place sucks. Manager Jeff is,an arrogant fool who treats his help very poorly. The back of the kitchen is a filthy mess. I feel sorry for those who work there and those who eat there too. I got the squirts after eating there at the red lotus I mean dead and bogus.
Shame on this Chinese restaurant, they will double tip you by telling you the final price including tips but still leaving blank on tips on receipt. DO NOT PAY TIPS, and if you had same situation, please contact me, let file a complain to local business administration together.
My husband and I both got bad food poisoning after eating here last week, and judging by many other ratings that's not uncommon. The food comes in overpriced, small portions (we paid $15 for each meal, which was only one take out box). The sweet and sour pork was hard as a rock. Disgusting!
Very good and fast service, good food, but overpriced as you would expect in a tourist town. Brought out a large order for my group very quickly.
The decorations were great but the place was very busy because of Chinese tour groups. The food was very tasty and spicy. We were there 2 time in our 3 nights stay there.
The food was really good! We are vegetarian and had the eggplant, coconut curry, and curry noodles and it was delicious! Good food spot in Yellowstone
Agree with few of the other reviewers here. Very average food and they charged 3% tax and a mandatory >15% tips (the way they calculated the tax is 15 percent of the price with tax and rounded UP to nearest 10 cent). Montana has no sales tax so I don't know how they can get away with charging sales tax.... Also the mandatory tips is a joke, tips is suppose to be based on how good the service is, by charging mandatory tips, they can get away with bad services. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you must have Chinese food.
Our food was served pretty quick even though it was a Saturday night and the taste was decent for Americanised Chinese food, portion sizes were also pretty big. Our only gripe was that the staff weren’t very efficient in serving us our water (had to ask 2 different waiters twice before we were served), and when we asked for the bill, they acknowledged us but stood around without actually getting the bill for us, even when we walked up to the cashier. Felt like they were pretty inefficient when it comes to splitting the work load (there were 2-3 staff just standing around not doing anything while the rest were rushing around to get food served and tables cleared).
My family of 7 wandered in, hoping there wouldn't be a long wait like the surrounding restaurants. There wasn't! The atmosphere is lovely, the lighting is almost surreal; there's tiny sparkling lights in flowers, swirling ribboned chandeliers overhead. The food was SPECTACULAR, by far the best Chinese food I've EVER had. It was flavorful, fresh, and beautiful. The sweet and sour pork was crisped to perfection, the meat was tender without being oily, and the strawberry sauce was absolutely heavenly. The service was fantastic! My water glass was never empty. They were very aware and present without hovering. It was a great experience. I left full and happy, and I would definitely send my friends here! Good work, Red Lotus staff!
Person who we believe is owner or management seats us, with no contest. We look over the menu and already hesitant with additional charges for fried rice and required tips. I order, wife still debating, waiter leaves no issue. The man from earlier mentioned comes back and pushes us about how they're closing and we need to order Asap. First off why did you seat us? Then push us? I checked google first for their time of closing and it states 10pm. We came in just before 8:30. He then tells us they're closing at 8:30, it's the off season. Okay cool np, then dont seat us and tell us you're closed. Or just post this on your damn door. I'd rather pay high marked up tourist goods elsewhere in Yellowstone.
Although West Yellowstone does not have many places to eat, especially ones that are very good, the Red Lotus is a notch above most others. The ambience is good, and it looks clean and well kept unlike the other Chinese restaurant in town. The serving dishes and utinsels are upscale in quality and the dishes look nice as well. We went during the noon hour and they had a few other people in there, but the service was prompt and excellent. The food was very good and had excellent portions. They even had ceramic type of chop sticks instead of the cheap bamboo ones. Overall, this is one of the nicer places to eat in West if you are looking for Chinese food.
Delicious food and very fast service. Great chinese food!
Best Chinese food we ever had. Wish we found it on the first night we were here instead of the last. Great vegetarian options.
Great tasting
The food is over priced and also contained a 3% tax. I checked on the internet that the West Yellowstone has 0% for the total sales tax. What is more, they add 15% tips automatically to the bill. We spend 85 dollars (Including 15% tips)for 4 people. The food is less and we need to buy other things to eat. Even if the same food were in Los Angeles, they would cost no more than 70 dollars (Including the 9% tax and tips).
The check came with an extra item , as we inquired about it , we were told ,that is a 15% mandatory tip , we were a party of three ,usually that applies for parties of 6 or more in the industry. The owner came and very rude said "it is written on the menu. You have to pay or i call the police" ,as he showed me the one corner in between some chinese lettering that says that a 15% service fee applies .He also mentioned that he has to charge the tip that way ,because "foreigners don't tip" (he is chinese by the way) So the police came and said that as it is written somewhere in the menu , we actually have to pay .i still refuse as a pointed out to the officer that we didnt order anything from that only page of the menu that states so , which he verified with the bill , the menu is 8 pages long but this statement is only written in one of them at the bottom in smaller lettering , very sneaky. I also pointed out that as we had been in town already for 5 nights , we had tried ,Trappers, The Branch ,Madison lounge and the Three Bears restaurants for Dinner in the previous nights and none of them try to impose the tip as they are in this chinese restaurant , which the officer knows is correct and maybe as they provide good service they don't need to impose it ,which would give them absolutely no stimulus to provide a good one as it is already been charge . As for the actual statement as "we had to do that , because foreigner don't tip" The officer said that is a civil matter with grounds for discrimination against foreigners just like him and everybody else that works in this restaurant . In other token he mention that pretty strangely there has been a massive dissapearence of cats and rats in the area .
Beware! They add the tip in to total then asked for a tip! Here's a tip don't eat here!
Found it to be pretty good no complaints from us, large portion and nice waitress
The food wasn't bad. This chinese restaurant is better than the other one in town. Food came out quick. The portion sizes were decent. We order a few plates and split.
When we went there it was too crowded , food was OK. You cant get much options in that area. We took it to go .
Not the best place I've ate, but it worked. We were here for the 4th of July, as everywhere else was crowded. Food was alright, and the staff was friendly. It's a good last resort restaurant if you're unable to get anywhere.
Food is okay ish. Ambience is good.
Food was your standard American Chinese restaurant. Prices were a but high in my opinion. The corn soup was excellent.
Food was good, service can be better.
Great service and authentic great food. It’s super comforting when you are exhausted. The restaurant is a little busy. Recommend to make a reservation before you go.
Nice
Good veg options. Portions are good. Serves 2. Service is fast
Even panda is better than this place. Chop suey restaurant and menu items priced 2 times of a typical chinese restaurant. They know they got you once you walked in there. Not many competitors around and they don't expect you to come back again so they go all out to rip you off in one setting. Bring some instant noodles with you to curb your chinese food craving if deciding to visit grand canyon. Save the extra money on hotel lodging instead as they are not cheap in this area.
Would have given zero or negative starts if that were an option. Food tasted horrible and was not very appetizing. Food was poorly seasoned: too much salt and soy sauce. Service was beyond disappointing. For a table of four, we were forced to pay 15% tip as a part of the dinner check itself. Overall very horrible and disgusting service.
The food was really good! We are vegetarian and had the eggplant, coconut curry, and curry noodles and it was delicious! Good food spot in Yellowstone
Delicious food, intimate decor, the Crab Rangoon is excellent!
Being close to Yellowstone and only one of the few Asian restaurant, this place was really busy around July 4th weekend. The wait was ok and staff were friendly enough. The food came out really quick though. For the crowd that was there, I was thinking that I have to wait at least 15-20 min but the food was out within 10 min. The food was ok like any other Chinese restaurant.
Excellent food,outstanding service!
Food served quickly. But food didn't have a lot of flavor. I wouldn't go here again.
Way over priced Chinese food. Maybe there is a West Yellowstone premium I don't know about. If this restaurant was in a major metropolitan city with an Asian population, it would be below average.
Food tastes way below average. Tip is included in the bill. This practice is mentioned in the menu but if you don't pay attention you might pay more tip than you intended to. Eat somewhere else unless you must have Chinese food.
On a positive note, the helpings are huge.
Good food, timely service. Generous amount of food
Very expensive, food was okay. But very fast service we got what we ordered withing 10 minutes
awesome tasty food. went two times consecutively. ordered different vegetarian dishes and both were cooked with nice recipe. Non veg people in our group also appraised alot.
Pretty good for the price! Very busy when we went and they still managed to get the food out quickly !
We ordered a large variety of dishes, and they came extremely quickly, just a few minutes after our final order. They are very patient when taking orders. The menu offers food for everyone's taste, uses fresh ingredients, and is served with an authentic Chinese style. The servers are very respectful, and are happy to help at any time. It is a comfortable environment, and compared to the many Chinese restaurants we have tried, including some in China, Red Lotus is a notch above all other oriental restaurants. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.
Bad service. Compulsory 15% tips added in the bill before payment. If I can I will give 0 star. The worst ever dinning experience.
Food serviced is not what you ordered. In addition, the food taste terrible. Not recommended.
We stopped by two times, the first time the service was so bad that we waited for 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were there that we left and ate somewhere else after a tour bus barged in front of us. The next night we ordered takeout, still poor service picking up the food, but the food was okay. Meat was a little dry and overcooked, and they weren't flexible on substituting items. Rice was fine, soup was okay, and the eggrolls were good.
We were super hungry after a day in Yellowstone, it was a minutes walk from our hotel, and DELICIOUS. If we could go again, 2 of us would order a poultry plate, the other 2 order fried rice and chow mein.
If you're craving Chinese food in West Yellowstone, Red Lotus can get the job done. We had General Tso's Chicken, Mapo Tofu and Twice Cooked Pork, all of which had decent flavor, but probably aren't on par with your favorite restaurant back home. The portion sizes were a bit on the small side (probably about 80% of what I'm used to getting from a Chinese restaurant). The prices are high at $11-15 dollars per dinner dish, but that's not really any more expensive than any other restaurant here. I wouldn't mind eating here again next time I'm in town.
We had a large group with kids and it was perfect. The food was great and the service was awesome.
因为结账时发现菜单强制扣除15%的小费和老板争论了一下,他就说我们是给中国人丢脸,态度很是恶劣,我们表示很受侮辱。We have argued with the owner of the restaurant about the mandatory 15% tips and got uncomfortable feedback from him which is very rude and not like a restaurant owner. I feel shame of him actually! He is dishonest businessman! If I could give him 0 star I would absolutely! What a bad service and low quality! I would not recommend any of you to be there, you will get a very bad experience as we had!
The food is delicious, the employees are respectful and kind and the place is absolutely beautiful. I don't understand the bad reviews because everything was perfect and I went there 4 times! Week days and weekend.
I must say THIS IS AMAZING!!!! I WAS SO SO IMPRESSED. I highly recommend this restaurant to families. We had 8 people and the food was out in 10 minutes. Also I never had to ask for a refill.
Went here with my family of three for dinner while visiting Yellowstone. Restaurant was busy, service was a bit slow and did not ask to refill empty drinks. The food was the biggest problem for us. Two out of the three dishes we ordered had little flavor even though they were supposed to be spicy. Chicken Chow Mien was pretty good. Lastly it took forever to get a check and get cashed out while two workers at the register chatted it up among themselves.
tasty Chinese food
Great food! I read all the mixed reviews and took the chance. The service was great and the food came out really fast. Great beef dishes and soup with generous sized lunch specials. A great stop on the road.
Excellent food! Excellent service! Expensive, but totally worth it. Best Chinese food I've ever had, and I've had a lot of authentic ethnic food. We had the Bison, Lotus Beef, and Coconut curry beef
Excellent Chinese. I'm from Boston and very familiar with Chinatown style authentic food. This place is the real deal.
We had vegetable fried rice, coconut curry vegetable, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. The curry was my favorite and had what I would consider the appropriate amount of spice - the chicken dishes could've been hotter and were more sweet or savory than spicy if you're into that and it was all fresh and delicious. Big chunks of tasty veggies in the curry; super yummy!
Enjoyed my self
Good vegetarian noodle soup & fried rice.
Not a good place to eat i asked for napkins and never got them also there was no one there! So they couldn’t have been busy very expensive i had to stand up and serve my own water! waiter never came by to ask how was everything do not eat here
The food was great!
Good Chinese in West Yellowstone. Wild West Chinese feel.
Yummy Chinese food and friendly staff. A bit pricey and they messed up our order (we wanted a veggie fried rice but they served us pork fried rice)
Bad
You know. The food was kind of meh and kind of expensive. Typical Americanized Chinese. But they had us seated and with all our food inside of 15 minutes. It was fast as anything is seen and I really appreciated it. Apparently popular with the Asian tourists as well, as the place was packed.
If u know good Chinese Food, do not eat here. You will be disappointed. Food were expensive and did not taste good. Actually, it has no taste! Very bland and yuck!
Terrible food and really expensive, no service, this is the place only for Chinese tour group. They also added 15% tip automatically on the bill, I don't know the regulations here, don't go there unless you are dying for Chinese. I won't give them any star if I can choose.
Beware of your bill!! The prices default include 20% tip and we paid another one. They won't tell you there is already a 20% tip!! Although the dishes are acceptable.
Worst services! Overpriced and poor food quality!
Too expensive, cheat on gratuity.
Decent food. Coconut curry lacked flavor. But pretty crowded, seems like one of the better food options here.
Good food. Decent staff
Pricey but loved the food. Expect sudden rushes of tourists and the place gets noisy and crowded in no time.
I had Mongolian beef and chow mein chicken, beef was great, chow me in was good, service was fast! I liked it:)
Waiting time was ok. It took around 1 min to get the table and about 30 seconds for the waitress after we decided what to order. The wait for the food was about 5 min, but the flavor of the food was disgusting, even tho we were the only ones at the restaurant, the chef wouldn't even take his/her time to make sure the food was tasteful. After the food was served the waitress didn't even care if we were doing ok or not. And they force you to tip them 15% for their service. I honestly would've rather go to mc donalds.
Ordered Mongolia beef per waiters recommendation...best I have EVER had! Very tender and excellent. My wife's Cashew chicken was very good also. Little pricey but worth it.
Tourist Trap BEWARE. Fake american chinese food. 不是正宗的中国菜 Crappy Food Soggy fried rice. Mandatory Tip hidden on bill of 15% then a tip section left on cc reciept. Would have tipped 18-20% but crossed off amount and wrote amount with just tax. Cheaters. Pray on tourists who will never go back.
Not good..there were quite a few Asian folks who went there before us so we expected good food but it was quite disappointing especially for the price they were charging. Taste was pretty bland and the meat did not have a good quality. And they charged a 15% tip by default for just the two of us!
Ok food, nice staff.
General TSO is so tasty and very friendly service
Worst chinese food ever. Restaurant is making lot of money at a tourist place. Mostly chinese customers. Non existent service. Whole staff eating food themselves, even there are 6/7 tables eating their dinner including ours. I generally don't post any bad reviews even if I don,t like the food. This restaurant is horrible. Please think twice before you enter the restaurant.
For a town that does not offer much, this place was the best in town. The Mongolian beef was out of this world. The Ukrainian waitress was very nice and the Chinese owners were vertical cordial.
Took 20 minutes for us to get a seat. cleanliness: 2/5 utensils were dirty service: 4/5 staff was friendly taste: 3/5 food was ok location: 3/5 located at the edge of the city price: 1/5 super expensive I would recommend this restaurant to all who want to eat Chinese food in W. Yellowstone.
Plates are very dirty. Every dish is poorly cooked.
If you are desperate for chinese food yhis place will do. But before you enter prepare to be financially raped and not limited to charge for tea, rice, small portions and mandatory tips. If u can goto bozeman and find something there.
Average Chinese food at above average prices.
Our favorite place in West! We've eaten at every Chinese restaurant in town and this one is the best by far. The staff are very friendly and kind. The prices are pretty good. The food is delicious! We've come back many times.
Really delicious and Chinese style food!!! So lucky we found here. We ordered chicken wings, beef and home style tofu. They are all so stunning that we forgot to take photos!!!
The buffalo in ginger and scallion sauce was awesome.
