Spectacular lunch buffet. Stopped in on a road trip from Milwaukee to Portland and this was the best Indian restaurant on the trip (I seek Indian food everywhere possible). Cabbage pakoras and everything on the buffet was delicious. They had murgh wings that day that were spicy, crispy, and layered with flavor. Veg dishes (channa masala, aloo baingan, paneer tika, etc.) were plentiful and super flavorful. The place was busy, which is always good to see when a restaurant is tasty, and the staff were friendly and attentive but not imposing. Good atmosphere too.

The price of their buffet went up and the quality of food went down. Been going there since they opened. They used to put out boneless chicken tandoori and now its bony dark meat. Chai was included and now its ala carte. Sad to say Im going to stop eating there. Shame cause I love Indian food.

Unquestionably the best Indian food I’ve had in the United States. The chefs don’t dull the spices for an American palette yet the distinct flavors in each dish are apparent. I don’t live in Bozeman, so I will be craving this restaurant often. Ordered: Gobi Manchurian, Samosa Chaat, and Tandoori Mushrooms.

We ate here passing through town. Food was good but service was terrible and disorganized. Took us 30 minutes to even order food. We were just desperate at that point to eat and feed the kids. Not to mention we accidentally left a phone and a kids toy in the booth which of course no one had seen when we called. Yes, our fault for rushing out since it was late and the whole ordeal to eat took awhile so we weren’t totally with it. Really horrible choice we made and wish we would have stayed put down the street on the waitlist for another restaurant.

DANG I wanted to love this place SO MUCH, as I love Indian Food and I believe it's the same owners from the location in Belgrade and what I've eaten there was great, but....my experience was terrible at the Bozeman location. (my older children go all the time and love it, so I tried and was so disappointed, I don't know if I have the heart to go back). I ordered over the phone and was told food would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived about 30 min later and they said the order would be out shortly, after standing/hovering at the bar for another 20 minutes where take out is picked up, I got my food. Got home and was NOT given what I ordered. I ordered Murgh Boti Kabalb (just super DRY spicy meat, no rice) I ordered plan naan, I got some naan with cheese inside and I HATE cheese filled naan (there was also some odd unnatural bright green blotches all over the bottom of the naan - like a sharpie leaked all over the naan). I also ordered Dahi Ka Rata (yogurt sauce extra $3) all I got was a small, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 ounce container filled with some chunky chutney. I barely ate my meal and threw the rest out. Maybe I got someone else's order, maybe! I MAY give this place another try, but this experience was terrible for my first try!

I love this place so much I can't even tell you! But I guess I AM telling you! You just need to go!! The food there is absolutely on point and the staff are super helpful and friendly. It wasn't the best choice for us when we were in a hurry one evening to get to a play, but the food is always worth the wait.

I went for the lunch buffet this last week, and I have to say my experience was a bit disappointing. When I got there at noon, there was only two or three other parties in the restaurant and very empty buffet trays. It didn't seem to be busy, but yet there wasn't much to eat and they didn't ever replenish from what I could see. The curry and naan were tasty as well as some of the veggie sides. I just felt like the ambience and food selection left room for improvement.

Had an amazing meal here tonight. Tried some tandoori chicken, goat curry and lamb shank. Everything was excellent and the naan was too good (had to get a second order to keep sopping up sauces). Can't wait to come back and more!

Went for lunch today and I didn't realize it was buffet style. The food was good the price for the buffet was $12 a person so about on par for a decent buffet. I need to go back and try the full menu for dinner.

A friend called to tell us about Pakeezah and we thanked him profusely after having a "delicious" meal there! Not only was my Lamb Masala outstanding and my dining partners Coconut Shrimp equally delicious to her but on top of how much we enjoyed the meal the price was equally impressive, extremely reasonable! To say we were happy with our the entire experience would be an understatement! The staff are friendly, helpful and very concerned about our dining experience! We will most certainly be back...."regularly". Great addition to Bozemans restaurant scene. P.S. Don't forget the naan bread!

I went with Mirch Masala expectations at the end of Pakeezah's lunch buffet. The Sauces we're delicious but the chicken was dry. The tandoori was super dry and jerky-like. The daal, I didn't eat beyond the first bite. The naan was more like a cracker than a bread. To be fair, it was the end of their buffet. I intend to try again at the beginning. Price was amazing. Casual atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Fantastic Indian food! I used to go out of my way to have dinner at Curry Express in belgrade, and I am just so glad to have Pakeezah (run by the same family) in Bozeman! If you want a filling warming and delicious meal after a long day outdoors, this is the place to go!

It was an amazing culinary experience. Everything at the table got shared and not single thing was less then perfect. Particularly notable were the Pashwari Naan. Great service and friendly staff. My only minor quibble wax the lack of ac made it feel a little more tropical then I'd like, but a glass of iced Chai (very cardamom forward) was yummy and soothing.

I live 75 miles from this place but I gladly visit every couple of weeks. It's my excuse to go to the city. Food is excellent and comforting. The spices are amazing. The people who work there are very nice. The prices are probably low considering the quality of food and service. I have met the owners a couple of times. Super great people who work hard to offer a great combination of great guest service and great food. It's so worth the trip. The only thing preventing me from eating here every day is the 75 miles.

Really delicious authentic Indian food right here in Bozeman! Great lunch buffet too. I've spent a lot of time in India and did not expect to have such a great Indian food option in MT. Great menu variety too -- gives you lots of options which I appreciate as I am dairy free. The one major difference is that they have (kindly) lowered the spice level on their dishes to make them tolerable to our American taste buds.

Delicious Indian food served in a very pleasant setting! Two reasons why I can’t give 5 stars: We went on a Friday night and service was very slow. We arrived at 7pm and didn’t get our food until after 8pm. I’m always okay with waiting if the food takes long to prepare, but this was mostly due to the wait staff. We sat for 10 minutes at our table without waters and then had to wait 10-15 more minutes to get asked to order anything. The other reason is because the amount of rice served with the meals is low and it costs more to get another serving even though you need it to finish your meal.

Lunch buffet is a great value; naan, rice, 4-5 entrees, fried fish, tandoor chicken. Very impressed. I’m sure their buffet menu rotates. Great taste, quality ingredients, and attentive service. Pleasantly surprised to find good Indian in Montana. My wife and I are vegetarian and we split the Gobhi Manchurian (cauliflower) and Shah saab da Baigan Bharta (eggplant). Both were delicious, we got spice level 2/5 and felt that was enough heat and we like things spicy. Don’t judge the place by the outside, definitely worth a stop.

I loved the atmosphere and the food! They had only 2 or 3 waiters working. We ordered 1 soda, an appetizer and our dinners. Took almost exactly an hour to get the soda, appetizer and our meals. I ordered a level 2 spicy meal, which got switched with my friends level 4 spicy meal. Same goes with two other people in our party. They were given the wrong dishes with different spice levels. The waiter said that the cook must have gotten them mixed up on accident. We didn't enjoy that part of or experience. Maybe they should have some kind of color system for each spice level?

Just love the food and selection, particularly as a vegetarian. They allow you to set the spiciness of your food for dinner, and the lunch buffet is always excellent. It is rare to have a menu where as a non-meat eater where I have endless choices of things I want to try, but that is certainly the case here.

THIS is the Indian food you have been searching for! I cannot rave enough. Try the Chili Chicken, the Butter Chicken, Samosa Chaat with Cheese Naan Bread. If you want to try it all they have an amazing lunch buffet. Servers are responsive, polite, and owners are great people. Plus, it is reasonably priced! The BEST Indian food in Bozeman and Montana!

The buffet was good, but it was limited. The chicken tikka masala was fantastic and was the highlight of the entire buffet. The tandoori chicken was also good. But the other were basically all the same yellow curry flavor profile with mixes of different ingredients. The naan was a bit over cooked.

Imagine you travel across a busy downtown to finally arrive at Pakeezah. Everybody has been tell you just how good the new Indian restaurant is. When you walk in you see there is a buffet happening, but after looking at a sea of brown-half-empty pans you decided to order off of the menu. Now unless your own house is filthy, the lack of cleanliness at Pakeezah starts to settle uncomfortably below your skin. Its been fifteen minutes since you ordered and you begin to feel a strong appetite coming on, at which point the waiter approaches you and tells you that the kitchen cannot cook your order because they cannot keep up with the sea of brown you passed on. There is something strange about having to leave a restaurant with an empty belly while everybody watches you and wonders why you didn't get any food.. Pakeezah you get ONE star because there is no option for a ZERO.

One of the worst indian food experience. We ordered drums of heaven which was way too sweet for a savory dish and we also ordered chicken biriyani. The rice in the biriyani was barely cooked that we had to trash it as we were scared that it could probably lead to indigestion. Definitely an awful experience.

It is a small buffet with decent options. It is expensive, but the food was delicious. We have made it a habit to eat here at least once every time we visit Bozeman, MT. Five adults and two kids came out to 77.00 if you only do waters with their buffet. Still a good price considering how few of these food options are here in Montana.

Possibly the best Indian Food in US I came upon this Jewel on my trip to Bozeman to go to Yellowstone National Park. Being a person is India origin, I can tell authentic Indian flavor from diluted Indian food flavor. There is one in Las Vegas, and one in Overland Park, and now this one. The Tandoori chicken was cooked really nice... Unlike every Indian restaurant which v boils chicken and then reuse it for every dish. I wish I could move to Bozeman Belgrade just to eat at Pakeezah .... This is a must eat Indian restaurant for any India for lover

Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in Montana, maybe ever. (Have not been to India though...) I had an entree from the vegetarian menu that was excellent (with cheese and tomato cream sauce) and my partner had the murgh makhani - I’ve been experimenting with murgh makhani and cannot come close to this - it was so good. Everything was amazing and I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu! Downside - naan is a little expensive - $3 for a ‘whole’ piece. But it’s delicious.

The food is some of the tastiest Indian food I’ve had—the spices are exquisitely balanced and everything tastes perfect and fresh. We will definitely be back for takeout! But...the ambiance is pretty meh, and the servers are awkward college kids who definitely aren’t super experienced. The walls could use some color paint and the decor is pretty college DIY style. It’s clean though:) The price per entree feels a little steep (roughly $15-$20 each) for the ambiance. But the food is truly wonderful! We’d probably just rather have it at home, since the tips add more to the cost of meal than we think it’s worth. Haven’t tried the buffet—maybe that’s the way to go?

With all the great places in Bozeman to eat, don't waste your time. This was my second time visiting this restaurant. The first experience wasn't great but the food was good and I wanted to give it another shot. Well unfortunately it was unpleasant enough that I will not be going back. FIRST. The buffet was pretty empty for it being 12:15. They didn't even refill until multiple people asked for a certain item. Also the chicken was dry which is odd since its sitting in sauce. SECOND. The waiter spoke to every table (only 3 when we walked in) but our table. But that was probably because he was more interested in flirting with a customer then providing customer service. Maybe the dinner is the better time to go but I have no intention of finding out.
