Decided to go to On Broadway on a whim without a reservation, which wasn't the best idea. This place was packed to the brim on a Thursday evening, but fortunately I was dining alone so they were able to seat me rather quickly. This was easily one of the best meals I had while on vacation in Helena. Top quality food and decent portion sizes. The prices weren't too unreasonable, either. The only complaint I have about the food was the crab cake appetizer was a little dry, perhaps from overcooking. Drinks were superb, and there was even a live jazz band playing that evening.

It's definitely worth the wait with a great menu selection and the portions are big (my husband and I always take home a doggie bag lol) The staff seem to get friendlier and more attentive each time we visit, so kudos :) Absolutely our favorite restaurant!

The dressing on the salad(blue cheese) was divine and I was told home made! I had a couple ideas on my main dish and was swayed by server to go with Tuscan Grilled Chicken. The star of this dish was the home made pasta and the flavors of the relatively light white wine and rosemary sauce. The setting was cool too. I felt I was visiting and old local establishment. This is a great spot for a date with great lighting and cool overall atmosphere.

Best overall restaurant in Helena. The atmosphere is great, where you can wear casual clothes and not be out of place, while still feeling a bit fancy. Everything on the menu is good, but highlights include the Tasmanian Crab, Chicken Broadway, and Lasagna. Or if they have a seafood special, I usually get that! The portions are large. Most servers are excellent. A lot of regulars with a long wait at prime time. But, you can get drinks and an appetizer while you wait so it's not bad at all.

Salad with creamy parmesean is quite possibly the best salad dressing I've ever had! Chicken on Broadway is their signature dish and is very good .It smells so darn good! Homemade linguini totally goes with it.Oh don't forget to ask to get the rolls heated!

One of my favorite places I have ever been! Not just in Helena either! The staff are some of the nicest, best people on the Earth! I would recommend anything on the menu but make sure you try their house salad with the creamy parmesan dressing. You really can't go wrong with anything on that menu. We have had nothing but pleasant, wonderful experiences at this astonishing restaurant. The staff is always so friendly, accomadating, and just the best service in the Northwest. The cocktails are amazing and the food is beyond delicious! We moved to Helena from Missoula and On Broadway definitely outshines any other restaurant in Missoula and Helena by far. Some may say the prices are high, but with this establishment you definitely pay for what you get!! Adding to that, customer service makes up 75% of a great experience in the service industry and On Broadway's staff blows the competition away! Consistently on Broadway is the best restaurant ever!!

What a great place for date night. It has amazing appetizer and entree menus. You can't go wrong with anything you choose. Be prepared to order a drink and appetizer at the bar and to hang out for a bit waiting for your table. The word is definitely out that this is the place to have a nice night out. It is worth the wait, and you will be happy you stuck it out. Bon Appetit.

DISAPPOINTED. After all the local hype I was really looking forward to dining here. I was only drinking water and no one ever came to refill my glass. Females working there were totally stone-faced - never smiled. Waiter never came back to see how I was doing; would have appreciated it because my steak was way TOO rare. Took most home to reheat and cook more in my microwave. Will never go again - not recommend either.

Top notch food with well thought out flavor profiles and presentation. The ambiance really lends itself to a pleasurable dining experience. There is something for everyone on the menu. Wait staff is extremely professional. One of the my favorite places in Helena. On Broadway does not take reservations so plan accordingly. There is however, a waiting area where you can relax and enjoy small dishes and a drink.

Be here early or have a reservation, because this place is always busy. The reason it's always busy? The food, the service, and the atmosphere are great. My wife and I also enjoyed live music last time we were there. I enjoyed the yellow fin tuna, and always look forward to going back whenever I can.

Chicken Broadway has always been a go to. Blackened Tuna is great as well. When ordering your salad, request both creamy parm and rasp vinaigrette. You won't be sorry.

We went as a group of 3 last week, and were fairly disappointed. Upon being sat at our table, we found that one of the bread plates was greasy/dirty. We ordered 3 steaks, two of which came with mashed potatos. When the server set the plates down and hurried away, we realized one plate had approx 1/8c of the potatoes, and the other had none. It was difficult to flag someone down and get the server back to the table. She said that the kitchen was out of potatos. She did not offer a substitute, or amount off of the ticket. Our drinks sat empty for the entire duration of our meal, and the server did not check back a single time. We finally had to flag someone down for to go boxes. The only reason im giving 2 stars, is because the steaks were cooked correctly, were good cuts, and had good flavor. This was a rather disappointing experience.

These guys have a great menu and a professional staff. The atmosphere is very relaxing and romantic. It's really over if the best restaurants in Helena, MT. That being said you can be expected to compliment them with gratuity that is fitting.

This is really a first class place with live entertainment and a chef who really knows what he or she is doing. The atmosphere is casual, and the food was done to perfection (we ordered teriaki steak and salmon). The portions were generous, the price was reasonable, and the wait-staff was friendly. Delicious food! Great setting, with dim light, hence why the pictures looks tinted. They have a wide range of seating and a bar area. Pasta is made fresh! I would recommend this for a nice dinner out in Downtown Helena!

Dinner with work colleagues was a great time. Nice wine selection and menu. I had a linguini and clams dish that was done very well. Lots of garlic, that's always a plus for linguini and clams. Desert was a cheesecake with huckleberry sauce

Unfortunately the food was cold, waitress was having a bad night and music was loud. You cannot make reservations so you are packed into the entry way waiting. There is little parking available, and none for wheelchairs. (Getting across the slushy street and up the icy walkway in a wheelchair is not fun.) It's okay but not romantic (too loud, no time guarantees).

Definitely appeared to be a local favorite, although the crowd was quite a bit older. Service was really good. My food was just okay though. I ordered blackened Yellowtail Tuna, which came with vegetables, rice, and a side salad. Flavors were good on all of the dishes, but the salad had a bit too much dressing and the fish was saltier than I prefer. Mixed vegetables seemed a bit overcooked. I will give it another shot some other time though, because I liked the classy, but casual feel of the place.

The food is solid, standard American-Italian fusion style. Dishes can be heavy, but flavors are always strong. One of the best bars in the city with consistent, quality cocktails. Had dinner here on september 2nd 2019. The service is ok. Our starter had been prepared in advance, so it came straight out of the fridge with cheese/meat stuck together. Not so fresh as you might expect from a place with pricing like this. The main courses were tasty enough. But the tuna steak I had made me very sick. Had a pretty bad food poisoning. So all in all a 2 star experience.

On Broadway is a long time favorite restaurant in the heart of Last Chance Gulch - Helena's original gold mining town site. This restaurant has been a local favorite for about 40 years! Throughout that time it has consistently served quality tasty, and nicely presented Italian fare of ample portions. There is a small bar and a comfortable waiting area. (Be prepared to wait on busy nights, especially after 6:30. Service is top notch.

I am contrasting this to a NYC experience with an Italian family restaurant that made the customer feel welcome and excited to have a wonderful dining experience. Visiting from out of town and found this jewel. Everything was tasty, from the app to dessert, to the drinks. I had the Chicken Broadway and it was fantastic. Be careful though, it is piping hot. I didn't really care for the pesto linguine but the Chicken Broadway made up for it. Definitely recommend.

This was a intimate yet family friendly little joint in downtown Helena. The service was top notch and amazing food. That was the largest 8 oz filet mignon I've ever had. The sauteed mushrooms were delicious. Unfortunately the garlic mashed potatoes not even edible. They looked and tasted like they were a few days old. Luckily the filet mignon was so delicious and HUGE that it filled my belly so the potatoes were not a big deal at that point. Our waitress was so nice I didn't feel like bringing up the bad potatoes. The huckleberry cheesecake was probably the best I've ever had. Solid 5 stars even with the bad side dish

On Broadway is my favorite place to eat! I have been going there for years. I love everything about it, the atmosphere, the service, and most of all the food. Their creamy parmesan dressing is my absolute favorite. They make their own pasta & their garlic croutons are made from their bread rolls, which are also excellent. On Broadway is probably one of the best 3 or four places in Helena. They are dinner only. I would say most of their entries run in the $20-$25 range. There are a very nice selection of pasta dishes. They have a full bar. I would recommend as a nice evening out, a good date place, and a good place to take guests. The only downside is parking and access, inconvenient, but not a show stopper.
