Great food. Big portions for a decent price. Loved the clocks and ambiance.
Four stars for the sausages. Thought the German potato salad needed more "dressing" and salt. Nice menu selections and good service .
Loved it, but it's not super authentic In my opinion.
Oh my God best since I left German 25 yes ago
Not bad...but not overwhelming
Very tasty meals and very good service.
Great authentic German food and beer
Great food awesome staff and cool interer
Awesome atmosphere, like a small Hofbrauhaus. Great wurst and kraut. Get a fresh pretzel, and a Stein of brau!
Fantastic German food. Would highly reccomend the flight of beer.
Great wursts and german mustard
My wife and I went here the staff are very friendly the food was amazing the apple strudel we had for dessert was incredible I think we found a new favorite place to eat thank you
Small but nice. I am not a expert on German food but it tasted good.
I’m 70% German and thought this was great! Their stuff for sale was adorable
Great service. Excellent atmosphere and awesome food. I would eat here again when in town.
This place was amazing! My kids and I had such a good time, food and service and atmosphere were superb! Will be returning next time we are in town!
Great food and service. Fun atmosphere and enjoyed the music!
The food was delicious. Love the music.
We went on kind of a busy night. The food was excellent, had the Montana Schnitzel, which I highly recommend. Fun environment. My only complaint was that it was quite loud and hard to get the attention of your server. It was quite good though and will definitely try it again.
Just stop taking about it and eat here already. And order the Königsberger Klopse over spätzle. You're welcome.
Fun place!
Come get a schnitzel cake. It's amazing!
Their ghoulash soup is delicious.
Fast and friendly service. Serving size was HUGE and easy to split on the platter. Our server brought out plates for us to split the dish on our own, was not split in the kitchen before being served. The prices were reasonable and service was very good. The food came out quicker than expected and we noted it was not piping hot, speculating not cooked to order. The schnitzel breading was thicker than the meat, that was kind of disappointing compared to other experiences. Everything else on the platter was on point. The mini shanks, fabulous! We would eat here again if in the area and hungry, but may not make a special trip to do so.
Good food but a little pricey for what you get
Best Brauts and music on a Friday. Das its Prima!
Always great food and excellent service!
Great food and fun music
The wait was definitely worth it. The food was really good, service was quick and friendly. We will be coming back to dine here again.
Really good food and a fun atmosphere!! Waitresses were very good too!!!! And the German guy on the accordion made the entire message extra special!
I had sauerkraut fritters as an appetizer- they were amazing! The spaetzle and Wiener schnitzel was delicious. Fresh, hot food and generous portions. Pleasant waitress. Delightful experience.
Loved the food and the beer, great German menu with a fantastic mustard selection. Pictured is the Weisswurst. I will be back to try the other menu items. Try this place out if you love German food or beer.
Great place to dine. The food and service is wonderful. I will be back. The family type atmosphere brings back good memories from when I visited Germany years ago. Ask for Elsa and she will delight your German food experience with a beautiful smile.
Every time we come to Billings we have wanted to stop and try this restaurant, but we tend to go to the same places. So this time we did and it did not disappoint! The people were friendly, prices were incredibly reasonable, and the food was tasty with huge portions. When our server saw we loved the type of mustard that was on the table, she brought over 7 different other mustards for us to try. We now have lots of leftovers and next time we come to Billings we are going to bring our friends/family to this great little place!
I highly recommend this place The food is authentic and great. It was worth every penny. I plan on coming back again.
My wife and I, who is a very big German buff and lived there for a year, and has taught the language in Montana's universities, chose to visit this restaurant for Valentines weekend. We were VERY pleased! Great service, including one of the managers, and were taken very good care of. Half price drinks while you wait, which might be a little while if it's busy. I feel that this establishment should probably triple in size! Somewhat of a small area...Live music (at least when we were there on a Saturday night) which was performed by a pretty authentic looking German individual who sang and played an accordion, perhaps a little too loud for the small quarters, but was very fun. Wonderful array of entrees and great German crafted (and Montana made) beers. Great wine list as well. Simply because of being busy, they forgot our salads, which was no big deal, but we received a free dessert for it! Wonderful menagerie of gifts, snacks and knickknacks as well. Definitely recommend it! Fun, unique place for Billings!
Delicious and authentic. Can't tell if you're in Munich or USA!! Great beers
One word awesome.
Good food. Great waiters.
Best liver and onions I've ever had. I know not many people like it, but they do it right. Everything they brought out looked delicious.
Oktoberfest is awesome, love the food, always friendly service. Cozy atmisfear, family style seating. If your in the mood for authentic German food come to Oktoberfest.
Great happy crew.
This restaurant is a cultural experience! We went on a Friday night for my wife's birthday and they had live accordion music and authentic dress and food. I loved it and would totally come back again
Very good German food! We will be back. This place does not disappoint. Be sure to try a dessert too.
Great food! Great start. Fast.
My husband wanted to go here. I wasn't so sure about it. It was so good! We'll be back!
Food was ok. Service was good.
Great food with great service. Lots of imported beer. They even have live accordion! Not sure how often it is, but I've never had dinner there without it. I'd recommend going a little earlier than you normally would, as they don't have very many seats and the place is very popular.
The service and food was excellent!
ALWAYS GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE.
This my second time coming here. The atmosphere was very good. I will return again for the third time. Keep up the good work
Very good authentic German cuisine right here in Montana!!
Brought the family and wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent, live music gave you the authenic feel and the food was divine. Very family friendly and large portions. Waitress was knowledgable and knew every answer to our questions. We will be back!
Very good. Fun atmosphere. Great service. Had a fun time! P.S. loved the accordion player!!
This place is awesome for authentic German cuisine. The food was packed full of flavor and the potato soup was amazing. Our waitress was great as well! Definitely be returning for more lunches and dinner
After living in Germany for 4 years. And have eaten in high-end German restaurants for several years while in Denver. This restaurant seems to carry its weight. It has very good servers are very polite.
Clean. Friendly staff (and the are clean too). Food is tasty but a bit under seasoned. I'll be back but the left over spatzel was good the next day heated with butter, pepper and some cheese.
Wonderful spot for lunch. The Tuesday schnitzel special was excellent. The choice of schnitzels to choose from was great, as was the price. The food was so good; great flavors, fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfection. Clean place with great ambience and German vibe. The service was outstanding; friendly, prompt, and helpful sharing about the menu options. Will most definitely return next time I’m in Billings.
I really enjoyed the goulash, happy hippo cookies are my new favorite. Our waitress had the most amazing dimples when she smiled and she was smiling the whole time. I wanted to keep her at our table smiling at me but I had nothing interesting to say and made a fool of myself... Hahaha I hope I see her again so I can enjoy her smile quitely to myself.
This place is great! Loved the service, the food, and the beer selection. Really a great space to enjoy a wonderful meal with family and friends.
Gluten Free menu option!! New favorite Saturday spot for us and our friends. Drinks are always good, and the wine that is offered is divine.
As good as it gets!!! Great service, great beer, super awesome menu and brauts....BEST PART IS THAT ITS GERMAN AUTHENTIC!!!!! Really clea and roomy! plenty of parking and easy to get to. BRING IT ON!! ILL DEFINTELY BE BACK
Wow, just wow! Excellent food and service....grandkids were mesmerized by the accordion player. Ernie and Bridgett are gracious hosts...made for a perfect evening!!!
Delicious food served by a knowledgeable and kind staff. They were excellent with accommodating my food allergy.
Always a great meal served there Love the German food Highly recommended if you are in Billings
Took the kids it was great, great food, good beer, love it! Oh and the sauerkraut is freaking awesome!!! I need jars of that in my life now.
Great food & staff! Very underrated restaurant in Billings
We came in with a party of 13, and our food came out super fast!! 35oz beer option was a crowd pleaser with us, and there was live entertainment! We met the owner, and had a lovely server named Stephanie who served us by herself with efficiency!! Thank you so much Oktoberfest for making our Christmas trip dinner one to remember!!
If you love authentic German food, you will love this place! The portions are huge, service is great and the atmosphere is relaxing. Some days they have live accordion music as well! As if I couldn't love this place enough, the amount of food they have donated to those in need in the community since they opened has been incredibly heart warming and makes me want to support them even more!
Before this visit, I hadn't tasted much German food, but this was a really good first impression! I had the Big Sky Platter with a brötchen. The Montana Schnitzel, delicious by itself, paired well with the Spätzle. The bratwursts were amazing with the mustard (which was super fresh and delicious by itself ( lI think it made me love mustard!)), and the sauerkraut was really good and not too sour! While I had never eaten Red Cabbage at that time, it turned out to be very delicious! What's more, the brötchen was very crunchy and delicious with butter. For dessert, we had the bread pudding bites and they were spectacular- not too big of a portion but not too small, either! The service was very friendly and enjoyable, the atmosphere was quaint, and the accordian player (who I believe may be one of the owners) made my experience a blast! I will definitely return soon!
Delicious as always. Food is always great and service great as well
Read reviews before ordering and ended up ordering the samplers. The stuffed krout ball things were amazing. The schnitzel, spot on perfect. The brats were so good. Only thing I didn’t care for is that the red cabbage is JUICY and the juice just drowned the schnitzel on the plate. I’d suggest asking for it on a separate plate. Personally I’d sub for the sweet potato fries if I come back. Never was a big fan of krout so I can’t say it wasn’t good Just not my thing. But all in all, it was really good. Pricy. Yes. But so good.
Delicious, authentic and large portions. Festive and great service. I've been here a few times from out of town and it is always excellent! Thank you!
Super good AND friendly! ElvisComedy(DoT)com
I love this place, definitely coming back when I'm in Billings again! The accordion player was awesome and the service was good. I got the Montana schnitzel
Not just your average German restaurant..the chef puts a special twist on German food. Best restaurant in Billings!
The food was so good! We enjoyed the atmosphere. A little piece of the Rhine in Billings, Mt.
Good food and Beer!
The food is consistently delicious and the servers are friendly. I appreciated that they continued to fill my drink even after paying the bill.
Authentic German meals like my Grandma used to make. The Sauerkraut Soup is truly AMAZING. My wife and I are on the call list to notify us when it's on the menu. We go in just for that. The only thing approaching how great the foot is would be the staff. Not enough stars to describe them.
Got stuck for a$20 wine, when I thought I was trying a new, different appelwine, staffing was great
Admittedly have only eaten from their food truck, but if that’s a hint of what they serve in restaurant... it’s great food!
Wow, a true surprise!! Felt like I was in Southern Germany again the second I walked in the door! The decor, full size tables, even the waitresses wearing the dirndl's, truly delightful. The dishes were truly authentic, to include the taste, appearance, and ingredients. If you are never able to get to southern Germany, which is different than northern Germany, this restaurant is the gem.
Great, quick service, food was excellent. I was a little nervous when the accordion player set up right next to me but the music was fun and not too loud at all, will definitely be back.
All I can say is come hungry and expecting great food ! The service is amazing as well Eddy one of the owners of the establishment always makes it a point to visit the tables and he is a genuine nice guy truly interested in providing the best food service and dining experience you can find. They scratch make most all of there menu and what they don't is procured locally from other small business owners in my mind this is the epitome of community. Rest assured you will have a great experience and Oktoberfest will become a "go to spot" for meals away from home !
We recently moved back to Billings and were excited to try Oktoberfest, which had opened in the time we were gone. It exceeded our expectations. Having lived in Germany for 4 years and dined at many Gasthauses, this restaurant hits the mark for authentic, well-made food and decor. The Nuernberger sausages, served on a brotchen, took me right back to the open air Christkindlmarkts. In addition, the imported German beers on tap, poured into a hefty mug, made my husband's day. The staff was wonderful and we can't wait to go back.
Very good authentic German food. There was live music while we were there. The atmosphere was as German as you could get in Montana. We stopped here on a whim and we're very pleasantly surprised.
I loved the food! The flavors of the food was bold and very flavorful.
My fiance is a gluten free eater and was so excited to find this place! Sometimes eating out without having a restaurant shoving carbs can be a bit of a chore, but this place makes it so easy! I love the atmosphere here and the wait staff is a blast!
Great German food from real genuine authentic people who come from germany, (the owners not all of the staff). This is a small intimate place with great food and beer pairings and excellent food quality at a fair price. Have been back 4 times this year and always good!
I enjoyed the flavors and entrees. The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very German! A fun place for all ages..
They went out of their way to help me find the email on my phone detailing a Q2 deal that is expiring next week. It was for $50 and I paid only $25 back in late July. Anyway, no luck but we ate there anyway and enjoyed it. Very charming with the decor and the accordian player. Thank you so much! We will be back...oh yes, my husband liked his beer that he ordered with help from our nice waitress who also helped us with menu selection.
Great little restaurant with delicious food! The crispy sauerkraut fritters were amazing, and although we were full after having the Octoberfest Sampler, we couldn’t resist the Black Forest cake and took home a piece to share. The service was great, and the prices were quite reasonable. I Highly recommend this place!
Are you looking for authentic German food in Montana? Look no further! The owners were born and raised in Germany and make all of their meals from scratch using recipes handed down from one generation to the nex. Took me right back to my roots! Great German beers with drink specials and daily food specials. And if your are lucky enough to be there on the day tomato soup is the soup of the day! Best I have ever had-hands down! Bring your appetite and try something new. You will walk away feeling like you just visited the motherland.
Great food! The owners are fantastic!
This place is romantic and has a lot of interesting Deutschland decorations. The food was delicious and gives a great taste of a land far away. Service is top notch and I am glad we visited this fine establishment. I highly recommend to travelers to go off the interstate and venture in. Nice selection of beer.
This was my first experience in German food and I have to say I am a fan now. Love just about everything. You can't go wrong with the pork shanks, schnitzel, and pretzels. I have eaten in the restaurant and from the mobile imbis they have as well. Owners are super nice and enjoyable.
This is a great place for a celebration! Food is awesome. Service is terrific and my husband said beer is pretty good too!
Amazing food and cool family vibes.
The food is good but Customer Service was unfriendly. A friend and I were asked to leave because we had been at the table too long. They offered us a chair and dessert but as we already had paid for dessert that was not an option. The accordion player was playing and we were listening to the music. I will not go back.
Great Bavarian food and good service
The first time we tried it we had takeout. It was a bit expensive, however very authentic and some of the best food I've had in a long time. It makes me wish we had gone inside, which I will do. I would highly recommend Oktoberfest if you don't mind spending some coin.
It was Delicious. Very nice friendly staff and owners. I will be back.
I haven't had Traditional German Potato salad since my grandmother had to stop cooking. It was almost better then hers!
This was a fun place and great food. I believe this is a newer establishment, the location is small, but they had several people waiting. With good reason. Again the food was delicious, well worth the wait.
Great place to eat
Great food, great service, fun place
Delicious German food served in an old world atmosphere served by delightful and helpful wait staff.
