Hands down the best steakhouse in Western Montana! Exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Love that even with a wait you you can enjoy the shuttle to the Lolo Creek Distillery and enjoy and exceptional cocktail! The best is that you can actually meet the owner as he is typically in the steakhouse. If you are looking for an experience with great food, this is a must go!

They have amazing service. There was a huge bus of people and it was still a short wait. Also, their butter. The best butter I have had in a while. The butter with the shrimp seems to have lemon and garlic. And the normal butter is mmmmmmmm athentic.

OK, I'm not sure what I was expecting when I went to a steak house in little Lolo, but having recently moved here & it being our anniversary, we decided to give it a try. Wow! It was incredible. As soon as I walked in, the aroma was heavenly. And the building and decor is fun and beautiful. The staff was over the top friendly, patient, professional and fun. Oh and 3 levels of floor service - onefor drinks, one for food and separate bussers. The food was the best we have had in Montana to date. And we have found great food here Steak, crab, shrimp, potatoes, TRUE sweet potatoes, vegetables, bread and desserts. Between the 4 of us we had pretty much everything. No complaints. All I heard were constants "wows" and compliments. Oh, and the value. I don't want them to see this part, but coming from Denver, we would have paid at least 40% more there. And it would not have been as good. We will be back. Soon.

Service was outstanding. Steaks were cooked perfectly to order. We liked that the ranch and blue cheese dressings were homemade. The side of shrimp was surprisingly good, big and tender, served with a warm herbed butter. All inclusive price for steak, salad and loaded baked potato is a solid value. First the good stuff! This is a fantastic place to take an out of town guest. Fantastic Montana ambience and the new addition of the distillery with amazing views is a tourists piece of heaven. The service at both the restaurant and distillery was impeccable with amazing Montana friendliness. Now for the not so good stuff. The steaks were cooked very well and tender, but pretty much flavorless. It is quite apparent that Sysco does very well at lolo steakhouse with a very unimaginative menu and boring food preparation that is incongruent with the overpriced and blah food and a severe lack of presentation, effort or flavor. If they focused more on local vendors, produce and a good chef this place would be unstoppable! High priced truck stop diner food for now. Support Montana and Montana will support you.

what a beautiful steakhouse. the swedish cope style log cabin is a must see, as are the wild creatures hanging on the walls in excellent taxidermy condition. like a museum. they don't even have a fryer, for the animals fur! and the steaks? mmmm, yum !

I was very excited to go to this place and the environment was very nice almost has a lodge type feel however when our steaks arrived they were full of Gristle and very chewy. We spoke with our waitress about our displeasure and all she said was I'm sorry about that she did not speak with a manager concerning it nor were we given any type of discount or other apologies she brought our complete bill with no discounts. The customer service was extremely poor.

The Lolo Creek Steak House is one of best places to have dinner in Lolo Montana. Lolo is a very small town. We ate there on a Thursday evening and there were 8 people in the party. We arrived without reservations and they setup a table and seated us in under 10 minutes. We started with cocktails and they have a very fine bar selection including local beers, and a great whiskey selection (4 different Jack Daniel selections!). We skipped appetizers and went straight to the salads; I got a mixed spring greens while my wife got the iceberg salad. We both enjoyed our salad. For the main course they had a surf & turf special which consisted of a 6 oz. USDA choice sirloin & 6 oz. lobster tail which 4 of the 8 people in our party selected including my wife. She does not eat large portions so I got the Lolo Steak (a 10 oz. USDA choice sirloin with mushrooms added) and she gave me half of her lobster! The steak came with a baked potato (and I paid extra for the works topping – cheese, bacon, onions, butter, and sour cream) and Texas toast. For dessert we shared the New York Cheesecake and I got a shot of the Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. The cheesecake was amazing but the JD was a shot poured into a low ball glass which just looked sad. It tasted great but they need to work on the presentation! All told, I will eat there again while passing through Lolo.

After reading most reviews I was hoping for a better experience. The steaks ordered were overcooked, under seasoned and overall not good. If this was on just one steak I might have thought differently, but this was the case with all the meals ordered. Even the sides were bland. The best thing ordered was the baked potato. You do get a lot of food for your money, but in the end not worth it.

Stopped her after a long hike in the bitterroot. I could be bias because of how hungry I was but the food was quit good. The portions were big. I ordered a medium rare stake which was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was cool. Lot's of taxidermy animals and a cabin feel. It was a little expensive but if you're looking for a high quality stake house it's definitely worth a visit. Especially after a long day in the mountains.

Excellent filet, probably the best steak I've ever had. The sides are delicious too. Nice variety of cocktails on the menu and the distillery up the hill behind the restaurant is worth the stop to enjoy a drink on the patio overlooking Travelers Rest State Park. Highly recommend Lolo's.

The dining experience was wonderful. Great atmosphere, pleasant and thorough service. Meal cooked to perfection. The menu has a wide variety of choices with a children's menu to boot. Great wine and beverage list. Wonderful desserts we had the Mud pie and it was excellent. My Rib eye was cooked exactly how I would of done myself and the quality of meat was superb. This establishment is very accessible from Hwy 93 or 12 in Lolo. Sufficient parking handicap conscious. There was a 30 minute wait but it is understandable after my experience. On the premises there is the Lolo Creek Distillery which produces very good Vodka and Gin. This is a separate building very close by and is a great spot to endure your wait as well as sample the products. Overall I was and am very impressed and will definitely recommend this business. Not to mention return for future outings. Bravo Bravo Bravo...

Steak was great and cooked perfect, the Lobster was cooked perfect and huge, potatoes were soft and seasoned perfect, and the bread was crispy on the outside but had a soft interior. Wow.

I get the opportunity to visit many steakhouses in my travels as a truck driver. The Lolo Creek Steakhouse may have just topped my list of favorites. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a pleasant staff and ushered into a beautiful side room to comfortably sip our drinks during the short wait for a table. Everything about the establishment impressed me. The beautifully constructed log building, the courteous and friendly staff, the local and exotic decor all contributed to an overall ambience not found in many other places. My wife had the Lolo steak, and I the Missoula. Both were cooked to perfection before us on the open grill. We both opted for the garlic mashed potatoes over baked, and we're not disappointed. Even the bread, an often overlooked and underrated part of any meal, was perfectly toasted and absolutely delicious. I'll make it a point to visit whenever I'm in the area in the future. Thank you for an enjoyable evening, and fantastic meal.

I was excited to try the steak as I had heard people rave all about it. I had the New York Strip medium rare and I was underwhelmed. I expected a juicy steak that cut easily and that was chewed with ease, but it had little to no juice from the steak when you cut into it (which was a little difficult to cut) and it seemed to be a little tough to chew for the cut of the steak and all the build up of the steaks and their specialty in them being a steakhouse.

This was the first time we had any issue at all. Usually we love everything but tonight it took 35 minutes to get our drinks. Then no one ever asked if we wanted another drink. The tossed salads had alot of yellow core pieces and way too much dressing. Steaks, potatoes and bread were delicious. The waitress didn't come around very much. Overall enjoyed the meal. We had taken some folks with us that hadn't been there before and they said it didn't start off well but they liked the meal. Will still go back.

Good service, a basic menu, full bar & a wood fired grill. I've had good steaks and not so good steaks here. The wood fire grill in the middle of the restaurant adds to the ambiance of many taxidermy animals on the walls. Come for the overall experience.

I'm not a steakhouse kind of person, I'm generally not into large portions of meat and the associated accouterments. Having said that, while my mother-in-law was recently visiting (and she is definitely into steakhouses) we decide to check out Lolo Creek Steakhouse. The staff was helpful, happy and had the perfect combination of being attentive without hovering. The food was well-prepared and delicious, and the atmosphere was, although very Montana hunting kitsch (i.e. many wildlife specimens on display), quiet and allowed for easy conversation. I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely revisit whenever we're hosting friends/family that want an expertly prepared steak, chicken or pork chop.
