Horrible!!! Why would they even reopen it,if they are going to make it worse? No fried chicken dinner,WTH! You have entrees with one piece of chicken etc. The menu sucks bad! What a waste of time driving ti this bad location. However I did get the fried chicken dinner at the windmill down the street after walking out of her,it was legendary!!!

Went to crazy chicken and pies tonight and ordered the ribs and chicken dinner. Waited 40 minutes for our food. Can't eat fried food so we decided just to get ribs in place of chicken. Food comes out with chicken on the plate:( and ribs are burnt so our server brought them back and just took chicken off plates leaving the grease of the fried chicken on our plates with the same ribs on plate! Yuck! So we complained about ribs being burnt and the manager on duty said she can either comp the meals or bring new ones out so I decided not to try the ribs again but my hubby tried the ribs again but they were really greasy and fatty so hubby tried the chicken pot pie which had no flavor. Green beans were cold. Meatloaf was fatty and disgusting flavor. Pot pie had no flavor whatsoever! Both the server and manager were very rude as well. The only thing they can do to make it right is give me a full refund! But I won't be going back.

Great dinning environment. kind of a log cabin theme. got the 4 piece chicken strip dinner and it was great. the chicken strips were very thick and juicy and had plenty of flavor. Real mashed potatoes and green beans. everything is home made here. only negative was that my biscuit was a little dry, but the honey butter that comes with it made up for it. if you like chicken and you have a big appetite, this is a good place to go.

I've ate here several times and the food is amazing, I had the best pot pie I've ever had. Our servers were friendly and the prices were decent for the amount and quality of food. We also order their pies to take home... I recommend the banana cream! It's delicious!

Went in mid way through the evening after seeing excellent reviews and seeing a very tempting picture of someone else's chicken fried steak. Let me tell you, this beautiful photo does not do this culinary masterpiece justice! The portion size was huge, In fact my amazing waiter / bar tender told me he had never seen someone finish it before me! But better than it being huge it tasted amazing and was very reasonably priced for what it is! Overall a great experience. We will be back! Thank you

After a long day's drive we stopped at Crazy Mountain and were immediately greeted by the friendliest server who made us feel quite at home and recommended a superb dinner of ribs and chicken. The portions were large and the ribs exceptional, so tender, with a cooked in sauce that complimented but did not overwhelm! We couldn't eat dessert but took with us a couple very tasty pies!

My husband and I discovered this place by chance about a month ago. And we have loved it since. The people are great and the food is DELICIOUS. I liked this place so much that I reserved their back room for our family reunion. They were amazing! Everybody loved it and there was plenty of room for all of us and more. I definitely recommend Crazy Mountain Chicken and Pies❗And our waitress Aurora was exceptional. <3

Ate here on Sunday morning. Server was excellent. Nice ambience. Food was mediocre. Nobody there so being busy is no excuse. My wife's eggs were cold. My biscuits and gravy were lukewarm. No sausage in the gravy. Bottom line - you can get a better feed for less money at the Muzzleloader.

The breakfast isn't that great at least the oatmeal. It came in a soup bowl and it was runny like soup. At checkout the waitress inform us they can't seem to cook it right thick r to runny. Wellll don't serve it like that plus it cost over 6.00.they did take half off but I didn't even eat/drink it. I might add I've tried this place a few time and it appears they only cook chicken right. Note for the waitress if it doesn't look good DON'T SERVE IT. I came home and made my own..

Wow! I had the chicken and waffles for lunch today and let me tell you, BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER! I highly recommend! The menu is small and simple so making a descision is not difficult. The servings were big and hearty, definitely worth the money. I will be visiting again soon.

The food was good don't know why they call it chicken in pies wen they have no pies the food was good staff was sub par and they have a very small dinner menu no rolls or corn bread.to go with a heeping pile of mashed potatoes the corn on the cob is not fresh it's just they little corn's that you get in the frozen section.of the store.dinner for two with tip expect to pay 50 bucks with a tip if you order on appetizer and two main course.

Summary, good food with HORRID service. I rarely post terrible reviews, but this time I have to make an exception. My wife and I decided to eat here for something new over the lunch hour. We are both pretty relaxed people and always give every place the benefit of the doubt when going. We arrived and the ambiance is nice, seems like a cozy place setup well with a decent bar. Initially the servers seemed inviting and we were seated promptly. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come over and let us know that our server was busy but took our drink order. Another 5 minutes and we received our drinks and still waited another 5 for our waitress to take our order. Mind you there were honestly 1 to at most 2 tables per server and it was by no means busy. All the wait staff seemed very unorganized running back and forth to the kitchen repeatedly, no salt and pepper on tables etc. Salads were brought out that already had blue cheese on them, which neither my wife or I like. We asked and the wait staff said "that is just the way it comes". Others dining here commented on this as well. We finally received our food from yet another waitress about 20 minutes later, but not all of our food. No sides, no bread, etc etc that was supposed to come with our meal no desert as well which was supposed to come with the meal. No utensils which again a waitress had to go in back and get. We repeatedly tried to stop members of the wait stuff and were told "you are just going to have to wait a minute" etc. The food was good, but honestly would have tasted better if the service wasn't so sour. After finishing what food was brought to us and repeatedly trying to flag down wait staff for what seemed like forever to pay our bill, I did something I haven't ever done before. I left $20 in cash on the table and we got up and left without any wait staff saying anything to us or even noticing. We were very late arriving back to work and I was floored at the level of treatment here. I was so upset I pondered going back and asking for my $20 back as I felt the service was that horrible. I have worked in many service positions over the years and this is some of the worst service I have ever received anywhere. I only pray the owner of the restaurant reviews this and takes note. Your food may be great, but you will never last treating customers like thorns in the side of wait staff.

I was there for lunch. Got the 3 chicken strips and it came with chips and side salad and a biscuit. At first look, looked awsome. But as I got into it, the chicken strips had no reall flavor. The breading was just a bland crunch. But The chicken was cooked perfectly. The chips... bland. And due too the fact that they where fresh chips the salt just fell off them when I tryed too salt them. The biscuit.. more like hard tack. I broke it in half and it cracked. all for 10.95 .. the only good part was the coffee and the waitress peggy. But not enough to get me to come back.

Moldy pie. Avoid this establishment. Bought this to share at work. What a surprise we got when we cut in to it! Came back in to get a refund and it took 30 minutes for them to figure out how to do it. Who stores pies in a cabinet not designed for food storage? Yuck.

The place smelled old grease, the salad was good, everything else was just warm and dry (chicken, beans, biscuits). We had ordered both biscuits & cornbread, had to remind the waitress to bring our bread and got just biscuits and they were cold. The honey butter tasted like butter with powdered sugar in it. Now the pies were worse. Blackberry was way too tart & too hot to eat. The coconut cream, one side of the bottom of the pie had very little coconut custard and the other side had a sufficient g amount, but it was really nasty in texture and had very little flavor. Yhr cream on top was not real whipped cream, but some sort of sweet stiff airy stuff that looked like whipped cream. The pie crust was good though. This is definitely not a redo!!!!!!!

My first introduction was with my dear friend Amanda, today I convinced my cousin to give it a try and they did not let us down! Great service, friendly staff, and the food is out of this world delicious! You get so much food for a great price, I have had to have to go boxes both times as you get so much food! I highly recommend this place, you won't be let down!! Oh and the PIES!!! Over I think like 35 different kinds of pie!!!

Potato chips are legit. I was an idiot and didn't order chicken. So, I have no idea, if it's good or not. I got the Navajo Taco & was underwhelmed. Server was nice.

I rate Crazy Mountain Chicken and Pies poor to below average, based on its food. The chicken strips were cool to lukewarm right when they reached the table. They even seemed as if they had been cooked much earlier, and then reheated. The cornbread the restaurant boasts about was pretty bad. There was a strange taste to it. I could not figure out just what it was...really unpleasant. And, their "cornbread" seemed very lacking in cornmeal...more like a quite chewy cake of some sorts, largely made with white flour. We did not care for the meal, other than the salad. But, that, was deficient, too,...it was one SMALL salad. The meager amount of salad they served was put in a large pie plate, making it look even worse. We will not return to this restaurant.

The servings were a good size and the food was good. The service on the other hand was not very good at all. When our food came out only me and my wife got ours. The waitress said that she didn't like the way my daughters pancakes looked so she asked for them to be made again. She said it would only take a few minutes so me and my wife held off on starting eating until my daughters food arrived. A few minutes passed and our food was getting cold so we started eating assuming the pancakes would be out soon since they are so quick to cook. As it turns out we were both more than half done with our breakfast before the pancakes made it to the table. We did not have any offers to refill our drinks until we were nearly done eating. My wife got more coffee and the cup was filled so full that she could not even lift it up with out spilling it let alone add sugar and creamer. Not very impressed with the service staff. These are little issues that can be easily corrected and this might be a great place to go. Sadly the level of service will probably keep us from having breakfast here again.
