The Burgertown Dairy Freeze is your standard drive-in with fresh burgers and shakes. The food was good, but the wait was an unbearable 45 minutes - far too long for what is considered "fast" food. The prices were also ridiculous at upwards of eight dollars for a single sandwich without any sides.

Iconic Flathead Lake restaurant. Everything is made from fresh ingredients, wonderfull outdoor seating, with woodsy veiws. It can get quite busy during peak lunch and dinner times, so be prepared to go early or wait a bit. The food tastes amazing, never heard a complain about any of their burgers. Huckleberry milkshakes are a must when available.

Best burgers in the flathead, the Flathead monster, the chili burger ( my current favorite). They have great shakes and fries plus some chicken sandwiches, but the burgers are the best. Depending on time of day you might wait a bit, but do it!

Wish it was open year round! Great burgers, fries, and shakes! It's a fun, old style place with limited indoor seating and a walk up window. A local favorite is to order food and go down to wayfarers to eat by the lake.

They were busy, so there was a little bit of a wait, but well worth it. The fries were very hot and fresh. I am not sure, but I think they are fresh, handcut fries. The burgers were fantastic! The onion rings were giant, hot and fresh. We were passing through the area, but would definitely make a point to stop and eat here if we are in the area again.

This is the best burger place ever hands down. Everyone is always super friendly and the burgers are amazing! Even if you're not that hungry, you can just order a basket of fries and one of their famed delicious milkshakes (I reccomend the pineapple, it has pineapple chunks in it too). Be warned though, it is super popular and they will have pretty long wait times so call ahead and place your order or ask about how long it'll be.

I love love love there food. It's a shame they aren't open all year. There's usually a half hour to hour wait on the weekends which sucks. The owner lady is hit and miss with her attitude. Good luck calling an order in if they are busy they won't answer.

It took me far too long to make it to this establishment. I have been a temporary resident in the area for well over a month, and from the first time I traveled along MT-35 I was captivated by the slice of Americana that is Burgertown. Each time my friends and I agreed to dine out on the town, the votes for Burgertown kept coming up short. The allure grew with each passing day. Finally, after enough persuading, my need for Burgertown was placated. Staying true to form, I ordered their specialty “Flathead Monster” accompanied by a chocolate milkshake. When I retrieved my order, I couldn’t help myself but to dig in voraciously. The Flathead Monster was truly deific. The two 1/6th-pound hamburgers were perfectly cooked and the ensemble of sauces melded together harmoniously. This was impeccably complemented by the chocolate milkshake, which flowed across my palate like the nectar of the Gods. What’s more, this gastronomic delight was overwhelming enough to whet my palate for more food, coercing me to order a second, albeit smaller, hamburger to allow the experience to continue. In summary, I cannot recommend Burgertown enough. Despite waiting for several weeks that served only to heighten my expectations, Burgertown exceeded them all flawlessly. I am not sure when I will return to the great state of Montana, but I am sure that I will not leave before visiting Burgertown once more.

We were staying at nearby Wayfarers State Park and we got distracted by time playing in the water all day and had no plans for dinner. So we decided to try a couple of the local places and got pizza from Rosa's next door and shakes and burgers from here. It was super busy for 8:30 pm on a Sunday night, in fact every time we drove by this place was packed and that is why we knew we had to try it before leaving town. Counter staff were busy but friendly and the order was ready in a reasonable amount of time. I don't really like burgers, so the pizza was more my thing, but the Mr loved his burger. I did try the fries and the shakes and they both get my thumbs up! The shakes were a perfect dessert treat after a very warm sunny day! We took it all back to the campground and enjoyed some darn good food on the picnic table - I highly recommend it! Great stop - Definitely stop in here!

Burgertown has good burgers, fries and ice cream cones. There is indoor and outdoor area to enjoy your food. Parking space is good enough to accommodate their clients. It is convenient to eat there before or after visit the Flathead Lake because they are located right in front of the Lake's entrance.

Totally worth the drive in the summer. We sometimes just come out for a burger and a shake from Kalispell. Always made to order, they do take a little longer so be prepared for a bit of a wait if they are busy. Make sure and get a shake - they even have huckleberry.

Must stop place for travelers around Flathead Lake. Chicken Teriyaki sandwich is amazing with fresh cut fries and a shake! Open seasonally and across the street from Flathead Lake State Park. Outdoor and indoor seating. There is a wait during busy times but well worth it!

We're from Salt Lake City, Utah here for a week enjoying the most gorgeous landscapes here in Montana. Today, in the absence of other dinner plans we opted to visit Burgertown. It was fantastic! Our wait was something like 35 min for food and we were told that up front. It tells me something about a burger joint when they are popular enough to have a 30+ min wait. We were not disappointed. I ordered the flathead monster and my wife got the Notorious PIG both were perfectly cooked and filled to the buns with flavor. To top it all off we ordered a large side of onion rings which are battered not breaded. They too were perfect. Gone were the rings where the onion does not break and you pull it out of the ring. Crispy, and delicious the way onion rings are meant to be. Dipping sauces cost you extra, $0.25 each. They have frysauce or ranch (I found the ranch wonderfully full of pepper, it was a little much for my wife). Next time we're around Bigfork/Flathead we'll be back.

This place has been around since the 70s. It's got an amazing location right near Wayfarers State Park. The food is always excellent although in the summertime it can get quite busy. You can call in your order and pick it up. Delicious shakes available too.
