Great environment, excellent food, but what really makes this place special is the staff. They are very personable and attentive. I ordered a medium rare steak expecting it to be like all the other places and get a medium to well done steak but in turn I got exactly what I asked for: a medium rare steak. But the staff kept up with us and asked kept the experience personable. Great place will continue to frequent.

3 of us ordered a ribeye steak and 2 were ordered for medium rare and 1 rare all came out perfectly kyle are server was on top of everything the only issue was that the country fried steak came out salty but that was minor ended up getting a steak to replace the country friend steak ordered to medium and came out perfectly where from Colorado visiting billings and bull mountain grille made it a lot better 10/10

The food was okay, like the stake was over seasoned, the tomato soup was really sweet and Luke warm, the shrimp Alfredo was under seasoned, the service was great, except the wait for a reservation, the whole point of one is not to have to wait to be seated.

Service was horrible and even if you're with a group that orders food and you don't you're limited to 1 alcoholic drink but if you order any food you can drink like a fish ate here many time's and it never got better just worse. Two drinks would've been fine except for the fact that I got one drink and was told I had to order food if I wanted another drink after I was told that I could have two so still sticking with one star and as for the food I have tried it many times even months apart to give them a chance of maybe the cook had a off day but still no improvement

All I can say is great job. The family has been a few times now and service was good and the food was great each time. Spent most of my formative years in Texas and I've always missed proper chicken fried steak. No longer because the CFS has been perfect. Just ask for extra gravy!

The BEST Chicken Fried Steak I have ever had in a long time. Almost comes close to the Chicken Fried Prime Rib in Wells,Nevada. The server was FANTASTIC.

First time here. Excellent service and possibly the best Prime Rib in Montana! Really tasty cornbread is served with the meal. Good size meal portions. The au jus was perfect!!!!

Wow, this place is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Montana. The food was absolutely amazing. Best chicken fried steak I have had in almost 10 years. The bull skins were amazing and the pulled pork was exquisite. The service was phenomenal and atmosphere to match. I can't wait to have another amazing meal there.

Restaurant is a store front location. Very nice atmosphere inside. Promptly seated and Kyle took our orders within a couple mins. Tried some Rockie Mountain oysters which were delicious btw. The food came out hot and delicious. Kyle was very attentive and knew the menu well. Will definitely be coming back.

Wow! Fast friendly service and excellent food in a clean restaurant. Highly recommended. Edited to add: we returned about a month after the first review and the place was even better if that's possible. Our server, Madison was super. The visit was made even better by the special veteran's parking space.

The restaurant had a 4.4 rating so we decided to eat there as we were on a trip. The wait staff was very good but the food arrived at the table cold and the tenderloin steak was cold and tuff. The manager did her best to make everything good, but the restaurant failed to live up to its ratings.

This was usually our “go-to” place for steak, shrimp and prime rib. However, one Saturday night we invited our out-of-town friends to join us for dinner. Out of the three steaks we ordered medium rare, two came out burnt and tough as leather. As people who never send steak back, we had to because those two were too tough and crispy—inedible. FORTY-Five minutes later the two steaks came back out just as burnt as the first two. (Manager didn’t come back over to ask us how these second steaks were.) However, as the other two people in our party had finished their food-we just ate what we could salvage. About 30 minutes into waiting for our steaks, the manager came over and made excuses and offered us “free dessert.” That was all well and good but we still hadn’t had our return steak order delivered and none of us cared about dessert. We all agreed this was handled very poorly. We were at least three times a month customers.... WE WILL NOT BE BACK. Not sure if they changed management or changed cooks but we will be spending our dining dollars elsewhere in Billings.

Been a long time customer to the Bull Mountain Grille and even purchased gift cards for family and friends here. When they started, the pricing was great, the portions large and the quality superb. Now the pricing has shot way up, the portion sizes have fallen and the quality of the food is average at best. My last few meals there have been way overpriced and no better in quality then what a local bar and grill could do. I will no longer visit this restaurant, it's just not worth the price for what you get.

Terrible service, showed up 40 minutes before closing and the hostess let it be known when they closed. So sat there for the next half hour and didn't even get water delivered. Got up and walked out.

Bull Mtn definitely had the best burgers we've tasted in the last 20 months in the entire Billings - Shepherd - Laurel area! The fries are good, and the onion rings were perfect -- not over battered, not greasy, not too thin or thick, just good flavor. Great service, too -- thanks, Justina. We will definitely eat here again.

I loved this place years ago so we decided to have lunch last weekend. Well the service was great the food not so much. I ordered a medium steak. The steak tasted good but was so chewy and tough I couldn't chew it up. I sent it back for another which tasted even better but was still pretty chewy but a little easier to eat. I just think if your paying that much for a steak the meat should be better. I think the hamburgers are good if I remember correctly.

We went in on new years day at 2 in the afternoon for lunch. The atmosphere is nice, nothing grand but not overly casual. Food selection and beverages are usually good. The theme that has been the same over the last 2 visits is being severely understaffed. Hopefully management is paying attention. There where maybe 6-7 other tables of patrons, and one cook and one server. The server and cook had to answer phones, to go orders, seat patrons, etc etc and seemed stressed and rushed throughout. After getting drinks and menus we waited over 20 minutes to order and considered leaving as it was taking so long. The food is generally good although higher priced than other restaurants, especially for the lack of staff. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but expect to be treated decently, not like I am in line for fast food after waiting 20 minutes. I understand staffing restaurants is tough to gauge, but consistently seems understaffed at this restaurant. Will try again in the future.

I do like this place, however I will only eat here if some one else is paying. I feel the food is good but too pricey w/a lackluster menu selection. I Had Prime Rib and Blackened Salmon/chicken. Prime Rib was great, Salmon was very good but the chicken was just dry and boring.

Every time I have gone there my steak has been over cooked. The others that were with me had their food prepared correctly just not mine. Last time I sent steak back cause it was ordered medium came out well done and cooked on one side. The second steak came back med-well but since my friends had already finished eating I just ate it. Very sad how much this place has fallen off.

Beat steak in Billings...PERIOD. Get on the Chefs club. Like they advertise...steak...no bull. Everytimee we went there impeccable service. Get a huckleberry Arnold Palmer. Renegade rib eye....loaded bake potato...yum. Sad we no longer live in Billings. Better then the steaks here in Florida!

I have never been disappointed with the food service or atmosphere. The recipe's are unique. The staff is willing to alter the contents of the dish(I font like mushrooms). The waitresses are always attentive. The decor is western (Motana cowboy style) the owner is always faithful to the veteran"s( has a parking spot dedicated for them and a missing man table set). This is a five star restaurant!

Went in to celebrate my birthday with my sister and her husband. Had to wait a few minutes to be seated but not long at all. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic as well. We all ordered steaks and my sister had prime rib and shrimp. All cooked to perfection as we had ordered it. If you are looking for a great steakhouse this is the place to go!

This is the best steakhouse in Billings hands down! They make so much of it from scratch. The steaks are delicious and their dressings are all home made. Somehow even something as simple as their potatoes are delicious. They also have a really cute western vibe going on with the design. I love this place and eat here often. Its worth the drive if you don't live on the heights.

Food was good, as usual, service was fine. If we're going to get up charged for sweet potato waffle fries, there better be more than 6 on the plate and 2 of them larger than a half dollar. Otherwise always a good experience. Great burgers, very juicy even if over cooked. We both ordered medium and received well done. We will return, people have off nights.
