Some of the BEST Thai in the state. Spice is actual spice, not Americanized.Perfect balance between flavor and spice and always fresh. True flavor.

Quirky atmosphere that ends up being comfortable despite appearing slightly shabby on first glance. The food was generally good, not great. The pot stickers were excellent. The curry didn't sing. The fried rice had an oddly objectable flavor. The spiciness was a notch below what everyone at the table expected. We suggest ordering one level higher than normal. The service was good if slightly scattered due to rotating coverage.

We are traveling through and found a Thai restaurant for dinner. I was sceptical about finding good Thai food in Livingston, MT. What a surprise! The menu had a variety of choices and the food was great! This will be my place for dinner when passing through this area!

Big Sky Thai was amazing! I had the crab rangoon’s and potstickers as appetizers and the sweet chili sauce to dip in (that Lyra herself makes) is divine! The Rangoon’s were stuffed full and delicious. My entree which was the mango chicken came served in the most beautiful presentation style ever and the taste was even better! I tried yellow and green curry and both were delicious. The heat scale you can order from is ready. I chose a 3 and it was not too much, not too little. This was my first time trying Thai Iced Tea and let me tell you it will NOT be my last. Soooooo good! Staff was friendly, service was great, food was phenomenal and atmosphere was cozy, comfortable and inviting! Highly recommend.

I've eaten Thai food in Thailand. This is not Thai food no matter who you say is making it. Food was overpriced and was not tasty. I was hungry and tired so I ate it. Not worth it.

Excellent Thai food in the middle of Butte and Billings. Who would have thought? Crab Rangoon / yellow curry on point.

My dining experience with Big Sky Thai has been extremely pleasurable. The food looks like a gourmet dish in its presentation. It is authentic Thailand food with choice of spicyness. The dining room is cozy and the service is friendly. I definitely will be back and recommend everyone to share this experience. BIg Sky Thai, Livingston Montana’s newest and pleasurable dining experience.

Shssh, don't tell anybody but this restaurant is an amazing find. Don't let the location or the ambiance throw you off, it is well worth the "unique" entrance. Service is solid and the young women who take orders are great. I have consumed good Thai across the US and BST is in the top echelon. Amazing fresh spring rolls and a great peanut sauce. I love the green curry at a 4 level of heat. Swimming Rama is a favorite, with Pad Garlic and Pad Basil close seconds. Have had 7-10 meals and have never been disappointed.

Arrived in to Livingston just after 5:00, ready for my first meal after a long day of driving. The restaurant is easy to miss, inside a multiple business building. Service was abrupt, almost aggressive, shouting “for here or takeout?” across the dining room. A short, uncomfortable wait brought a big bag of food, one appetizer and one entree for $25. The fresh spring rolls were wrapped in plastic, and definitely not made fresh. The peanut dipping sauce was ok, and the first few bites were a nice, crunchy mix of ingredients, quickly followed by the overwhelming taste and smell of sulfites. The green curry was the consistency of a thin soup, with two flavor notes, hot and something like dirty socks (maybe the massive amount of shredded bamboo shoots) One taste and it went straight into the cooler with the container of mushy rice. It’s in the fridge now, but I don’t know what I’ll do with it. Definitely not worth pulling off the freeway. Travelers take heed, never believe local reviews for ethnic food in Montana. The beef is great, just get a burger.

I would like to first say that the waitress was sweet and did her best. It sounded like they were short staffed, so that could have contributed to some of their stress. The Thai iced tea was great as were the spring rolls and pot stickers. The reasoning for the 1 star review is that they first mixed up the spice levels for our two dishes (Pad Thai with tofu and Pad Basil with beef) then proceeded to argue about how we were mistaken. They have a policy, which I understand, where they don't take it off the menu if you have an issue with it. You just have to order something different. It was just upsetting and vastly unprofessional for the sous chef to argue with us when you could smell the spice that was coming off of the Pad Basil when it's only supposed to be 1 star for spice level. I would also recommend that the staff be educated in what type of Pad Thai they serve as there are a few different sauces used based on what region you are getting your recipe from. I would like to end with I know that the customer isn't always right. However, I have worked in the food industry for years and I'm not completely ignorant when it comes to flavors. Overall, we aren't going back. It isn't worth $14 a plate for an upset stomach and an argumentative chef. Update* The cashew tofu that they made for a take home replacement was nice and made correctly.

Amazing food, great friendly staff, will return with my beautiful girlfriend again!

Very friendly server helped us find gluten free and vegan friendly choices. It's so refreshing to encounter professionals who understand their product and the safety concerns of their clients. We were welcomed cordially, and the kids were treated as customers making choices, which is important to me. Our food restrictions mean we miss out on desserts so often that I always buy it if it fits our diet. The mango sticky rice was delightful, even if it was almost the same price as our entrees. We will definitely return every time we pass through town!

Eric Price

Wonderful place that seems very well ran. Not a fast food joint, but good personable service. Our waitress Lessy(?) was on point and very kind, she did the gorgeous painting around the restaurant. The food is fairly authentic, the green curry was soupy (very light not overly creamy) and absolutely delicious! The flavor was spot on, with a spice level 3 it was very mild. I highly recommend stopping by, I should have tried the pad thai.

John Gracey

The appetizers were excellent. The chicken pad Thai tasted like wet dog and the chicken, well, I can't adequately describe what that taste was... The service was mediocre, at best, which was actually pleasantly surprising as my server was one of the seemingly most disgruntled and apathetic servers I've ever encountered. Located in a fairly recently redesigned building that seems like halfway through remodel they decided they were finished. It was fairly dark and dirty in the hallways and restaurant. Most of the light bulbs over every table were burned out. I'm just happy I didn't get ill after eating there though I did end up throwing 90%+ of the food away.

Fantastic...authentic...a small town treasure. Had almost every choice on the menu...not a miss yet. Mango Chicken is unique ... a 10. Popularity has slowed the service, but food is hand made and worth the wait.

Honestly those who rated this restaurant lower because of slow service, give me a break!! If you are complaining about slow service, appreciate the local McDonald's down the street in which you don't truly know what is in what you're eating. Give me a break, really??? I had pad Thai and it was delicious!! Quick and I will return here many more times, just haters that want to see local businesses fail, pisses me off!

Two older ladies working here were being extremely rude to the customers and staff.
