Stopped in for an A & W root beer in a frosted mug as soon as our plane landed! Haven't enjoyed one in quite a long time. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Enjoyed the nostalgic feel but missed the old drive-in style. Root beer is as good as I remembered.

They where SWAMPED when I was here. The drive thro was packed and dining room was full with a line waiting to order. Despite this the staff kept there cool and got her done! Great food served quickly....super good root beer. Friendly busy staff! Place is clean too

I have never written a restaurant review before, but the disgusting state of this establishment has moved me to do so. When we first arrived, the order counter was completely filthy and covered in spilled pop. No one wiped down the counter for the 10-15 minutes we stood waiting for our food, and it was still the same when we left. To top it all off, an employee picked a USED BAND AID (I kid you not) off the counter while we were standing there. Gross!!!

A nice quick stop for some American style fast food and milkshakes. The place has a cool retro feel. The staff was friendly and prompt. The burgers, chicken sandwiches, and chicken strips we ordered were tasty, the fries weren't overly salted or greasy, and the milkshakes were thick and top notch.

The food is good, but the service could be better. The Order taker couldn’t tell me how big the patties are and when asked “they are the same as any other burger” was the response I got. And when asked how big “weight wise” she said they were 1/3 lb but when the sandwich was revived it looked smaller than a 1/4 lb.

I only go to A&W to get root beer freezes and polar swirls. I go at least once a week and have been for the last 6 months or so, so I’ve had many. Today, I was charged for a regular swirl when I asked for a mini. Decided to let it go until we tried our items....my freeze had little to no root beer in it. The swirl had barely any cookie dough. I decided to go inside to ask for more root beer and cookie dough. The young girl working got who appeared to be supervisor, maybe manager, who rudely replied “um I put a lot of cookie dough in it, so tell them to dig deeper” then said she’d remake my freeze. Remade it just as horrible as the first time, then said “if I add any more root beer it will make a mess” Not sure how I’ve gotten great freezes every other time then..oh and it had chunks of cookie dough in it when she remade it..who knew blending ice cream was so hard

My family pulled into Columbia Falls A&W drive-thru tonight. As we began thinking how weird it was that we were asked three times by the person who took the order what it was that we ordered while waiting 7-8 mins for two shakes and a small RB float, we finally received the two strawberry shakes with dripping strawberry syrup down the sides of the plastic glasses. I showed this to the lady at the window and she took napkins and wiped them off. Then came the root beer float! As she handed me the glass and I handed to my wife, she said how she had wiped it down with a wet rag (including the lid)! As we pulled forward with a wet glass in hand my wife began saying how she was getting grossed out how it was likely that they used a dirty wet rag

My sister was servied a warm milk shake. She took a drink of it and it was warm. They asked for a refund or a new one and was denied it. Warm milk shakes.. Clearly something isn't going right with your machines. Also the last time I went to get food it took nearly 25 min for me to get my drinks and 35 to get me food.

There has been a place in my heart for A&W since I was a kid and having this place so convenient to where I was staying was great. I visited several times and the food was always hot and up to par. The service wasn't always friendly and fast, but the food was good.

Food is pretty good, customer service is severely lacking. Time management is also a big factor in this, i recieved my food 30 minutes after ordering. Management needs to step in at some point, and show there employees how to run the operation in a timely matter.

The food is delicious, speed of service in the drive thru was very slow. We ordered a salad and when we arrived at our destination there wasn't any dressing or a fork. The salad was at the bottom of the bag buried under the hot food. Staff was extremely sweet just needs speed.

Stopped here Saturday evening as a last resort since we missed the "last" McDonald's before Glacier Nat'l Park and my husband wouldn't turn our rig around. We now believe in "silver linings" because it was definitely a blessing in disguise. My husband has mentioned the crispy chicken sandwich twice already today and my fish sandwich was good also. The kids working there on a Saturday night were all pleasant and helpful. We will look for A&W as a first choice now.

It's a normal a and w. Greasy food and lots of floats and soft serve options. Service can be great or it can be poor depending on the day. Minimal healthy options which is expected in fast food. You lose 2 stars due to inconsistency in food quality and half the time the cashiers dont know what they are doing. Also drive through microphone is either broken or the person working it did not know how to adjust the volume either way you may want to look into that.

Just grabbed so early fries for a long drive. Took awhile, instead of asking sauce preferences when they took the order,the woman would drop off people's food and ask then so she had to make two trips each time. Not super efficient. Fries were good and crisp

So sent daughter in to A&W in Columbia Falls to order an Large Ice Cream Cone but in a cup instead of a cone. And I was given some ice cream in a small sundae cup with barely any ice cream in it and they charged me $5.29 for what they gave me. The staff was rude so I guess for now on we will just have to drive to Dairy Queen to get better quality and service. As I will not be going back to A&W anytime soon.

We waited in line through the drive thru for over 20 minutes and then they asked us to park and wait for our mushrooms and when we got them everything (french fries and mushrooms) were thrown in the bag upside down and the mushrooms were extremely soggy ...and didnt taste like they were freshly made.

This A&W has been here for a long time and always busy so I just don't stop enough , but we did the first sunny day this year for a rootbeer freezy...which was great...A&w=rootbeer right!?!.. But I opted for a fish sandwich which was a little chewy and bland, it did however come with two pieces which made it easy for sharing...so if your in for a wait...I'd say stop..
