REVIEWS OF Taqueria El Bronco IN Missouri

John Brasher

If you like real Mexican food, not Tex Mex, then you will really like this place. Plenty of parking in the rear so you don't have to hassle with parking on Cherokee. But if you're really looking for American style Mexican food, this may not be the place for you.

Frank Farias

Good food and great price

Julio Roa

Alan M

Very good tacos, authentic for sure. I will be coming back anytime I'm in St. Louis

Brian Baker

Love El Bronco. Favorite true Mexican food in St. Louis. Get their menudo on Sundays!

Mike Beckermann

The floors were sticky along with the tables. The server never checked how we were doing and the mystery meat we were eating was awful. Only time in my life I walked away from a full plate and didn't box up the leftovers!!!!

Christian Ethridge

Beans are nice and light colored, rancheronsauce was housemade on the bistec plate. One of my favorite servers in tow is there. They bring a green amd a red salsa out. Love el bronco

I understand these is St. Louis and Mexican food is not the same as in California or Arizona. So, I don't want to bash the place too much. I ordered a tripe and fish taco and they were absolutely terrible. I also ordered a seafood cocktail (campechana) and that was mediocre. It had imitation crab meat in it. That's a no-no!

Joseph Warden

Best Mexican in St. Louishanda down!

casuelita de tamarindo

I believe this is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in saint Louis. I'm originally from Mexico and this restaurant fits perfectly in my favorite ones. You have to try the Chilaquiles Verdes.

Harmony Riefle

Ok so let's cover the bad: this is a very homely place. If you need a bunch of stereotypical decorations and matching serving staff, etc to enjoy your food, then this won't be for you. However! If you want really amazing food, great drinks, attentive staff, great value and an overall great place to hang out talking with friends and family. The posole is amazing!!!!!! Saturday and sunday mornings are pretty busy just an fyi. Totally worth the wait!!!!

Carlos Hernandez

My favorite restaurant on Cherokee! Very authentic and fresh traditional Mexican food. Over the years my family has visited many times. Never a bad experience- never got sick. Well staffed with quick service.

Eboni Valentine

Food is awesome, I’m addicted. Price is a little steep for me but I still buy it because it’s so good!

Grant Harris

After living in Texas and Nevada, I was spoiled with amazing Mexican food. I just moved back to STL, and was told to come here for authentic Mexican food! I was not disappointed! Cow tongue sopes were delicious!

Rj Kellogg

Real authentic Mexican food...smelled awesome and the person working the counter was quick to help me understand the menu

Kevin D Hart

This is authentic, inexpensive Mexican food. If you want a hip, chic, urban Mexicanish dining experience that will empty your wallet, do not go here. Head to the Central West End for that. If, however, you want real Mexican food, come here. The entire staff speaks English. However, if you don't Spanish and aren't familiar with Mexican food beyond tacos, enchiladas and burritos, you will need to have your smart phone ready to Google some of the dishes listed. I highly recommend you try something you have to Google. It will be worth it.

Everett Gossard

Ordered a carnitas and an al pastor taco. Both were brilliant, perfection. Chips and salsa were brought to the table, the mild was average, and the hot was surprisingly hot. It made a perfect foil for the pork.

Simon Self

Quick service and crazy awesome authentic mexican food. I live just down the street and the area is not nearly as bad as some reviews say.

Angie Gorka

The food is delicious! I love the fajitas!

Chris Wallace

Out of all the place we tried this one was the best on Cherokee St. Chips weren't very good and the beer wasn't that cold. Would go back.

Paul Krash

Great Mexican food. Ask for an extra kick if you like spicy. Nice people and authentic Mexican Folk music on the speakers. It's whats for dinner tonight.

Cashagon

Great service. Amazing prices. Fantastic orchata!

Brendalee Blackwell

Food and service is great but the restaurant is in a very dangerous area. Just be careful and park in front of the restaurant. Robbery and shootings are very common in the area is gang ridden!

Meya Bibbs

The food was Ok, our waitress was EXTREMELY RUDE! I can’t believe how rude she was acting. Not once did she come back to see if we wanted anymore drinks or to make sure everything was ok. I stopped her a few different times, she still never came back. When I asked to see my receipt, she picked my receipt up, slammed it on the counter then walked away. I felt so uncomfortable there. I will never be back to this place.

Dhruv Bhatnagar

Delicious Mexican food on Cherokee. It's also pretty cheap. Good variety and the best salsa I've had in St. Louis. Nearly everything on the menu can be made vegetarian. Friendly and prompt service (I'm vegetarian).

Albert Planells

Awesome tacos al pastor. Highly recommend!!

Ranjiet Menon

This is the only Mexican restaurant we have been to on Cherokee St. We were told that most Mexican restaurants on that street are the real deal. The food there was far superior than any other Mexican restaurants we've been to in the STL area.

D Hawes

Really good traditional Mexican food staff is quick and friendly and the lunch specials can't be beat. Saw some tasty looking margaritas and the salsa Verde is amazing and HOT!

Henry Sosa

Food was average at best, service was great! Had the menudo and 5 tacos that were all different. The avocado salsa was the best I've had here in St. Louis

Linda Hoefflin

Authentic food, great margaritas and terrific service.

Tom Check

Good service, good food, good.....mariachi? Chips and salsa we're fantastic! Red was mild, green was spicy. I had a torta (beef tongue) and it was pretty good. Not packed with filling or super flavorful but good. The wife had tacos (one soft and one crisp). She says that neither had amazing flavor but that the crispy one's shell was fantastic. Mom had cheese and onion enchiladas and said they were good but needed more onion. Mariachi was playing for folks who wanted it, and he played the whole time we were there. Not sure if this is a weekend thing, a Sunday thing, or an all the time thing. Wife doesn't like entertainment while eating so it was a putoff for her, but I liked it. My only wish is that they would have turned off the house music while he played. Price was great! Three meals for $22! We will probably go back and explore the.menu to see where they really shine.

David C, Jr

Was good. My wife liked the guacamole.

Julie Slipsky

I had the best shrimp chimichanga here. Cheese for days and the refried beans looked homemade.

BOUND BOUND

Not bad for tacos if you want to be on Cherokee street.

Peggy Melendres

Amazing authentic food! The tacos de pastor remind me of when I lived in Mexico!

Chris Wyrick

Great food, Great service, good margaritas.

Robert Evans

chioma Ukeje

christina Fabian

Mark Reed

Alejandro Ascencio

Once more. It is definitely the place to go on Sunday evening for dinner. Quick service and specialist on having big family gatherings served promptly so, the little ones do not cause too much mischief.

Ashley Bright

Out of this world tacos! Definitely try the crispy tacos. Wow! The service was efficient/courteous and the prices are reasonable.

Austin Archinal

Reasonable price, expansive menu, quick service: this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town.

Brian Turnbo

Friendly staff, great serivice, affordable, good Homestyle Mexican food.

Althea Mae Yap

This is the only mexican restaurant that my friend ever wants to go to and I don't mind because I love it. The service is always good, the food is priced well, and the chips and salsa are never ending. The atmosphere is authentic and relaxing without any of the fancy show of average texmex restaurants. I don't drink, but I hear the margaritas are awesome too.

Vanessa Truelove

The food reminded me of my hometown El Paso. Very good!!

T Baker

Freshly made everything. The vegetables are crunchy, the meats are tender, and the sauces balance heat and flavor. I typically stick to chicken dishes or poblanos, but I went out on a limb to try one of their specialties with carne asada and I was not disappointed. Not to mention, you're conveniently down the street from a supermercado to pick up hard-to-find supplies for your own creations. I would make this a regular "go-to".

Hugh K

Food was decent. They didn't give us more than one little salsa bowl, and they gave us limited chips. The service was fast and efficient though, and it was not very crowded. There was parking available all over the street near the restaurant although the neighborhood seemed fairly sketchy. I got a chicken quesadilla from the ala carte part of the menu and it was so big I couldn't finish it. Worth the price, but probably won't be back since I'm not a regular in the area.

Tyler nevets

This is great food, reminds me of Mexico, try a tostada, and margarita. if you don't like it, You don't know authentic. Go to taco bell you hipster!

Miguel Chaves

Authentic Mexican food! The best tacos in St. Louis!

Amber Callan

Taqueria El Bronco has incredible food (I absolutely love their pork pastor tacos) and great service. It's definitely one of my go-to lunch spots!

Johnny G

Lengua tacos! Get familar. Build out is old and the bathrooms are sketchy. Food is top notch and cheap.

J H

Food is always great and prices are fair.

Cristina Pinheiro

The ceviche tostadas are fantastic! Waiters are very friendly and helpful with the menu!

Lily Rodriguez

Worst Service I have ever had. Waitress took an hour to even come ask for our order then proceeded to say that it wasn't her area but the next on either side us she took care of. I will NEVER go back there. I don't recommend it.

David Godbout

The best Mexican food on Cherokee (my opinion)...the staff and owner are fantastic. There seems to always be more Hispanic folks dining than non-Hispanic, which speaks to the authenticity and quality of the food (again, my opinion).

Eric Wilson

Love this place. Good people.
