Love the flavors and crunchiness. I found the chicken breast a bit dry and their coleslaw and potato salad a bit sweet. Worth trying it.

This was my 1st time visiting this place. If ur not really looking for it, U might go right past it. The place does verygood business & the lady that works the counter was very nice. The Chicken was good, but a lil' overcooked, as my pieces were a lil' dry inside & not juicy. The batter is verygood, light, very crispy & crunchy & not overseasoned. The Cole Slaw was also verygood(not big chunks of cabbage that take U 15 mins to chew). The French Fries were ok, I think they would be better if they were seasoned? Prices are extremely reasonable. I purchased a slice of Sweet Potato Pie & a order of Fried Gizzards also & both were verygood. I would visit again. I visited around 12:45-1pm & although it was during the middle of Lunch rush, orders were quickly being made & served. This place reminds me of a place in St. Charles King Edward's Fried Chicken. I ordered a 4 Pc. Chicken w/ French Fries, Cole Slaw, & Dinner Roll.

My first time eating at porters. The chicken is horrible, and not even close to being the best fried chicken in St. Louis. Wish I could get my money back. Very disappointed. I can see that all these people on here have never eaten good fried chicken before. I've had better from a food truck.

Must have been an off day. Chicken breast was very dry with no flavor and the green beans tasted like they were straight from a can. No onion, bacon or anything. I grew up on Porters as well as my Mom who is in her 60’s. Definitely not the quality I remember. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good, but my meal only came with a spoonful of gravy.

Some of the best chicken you will find in the Lou! They also have fish, livers and gizzards. Definitely worth the stop for some comfort food!

Came in at 8 pm, was greeted and treated! First time trying this establishment, and I was not disappointed. Got a 12 piece with the dark meat spicy and the white meat regular. Both were delicious and juicy. Will be back on a regular basis, although I will be calling ahead to avoid the wait.

I absolutely loved this place and I am sad I only discovered it when I decided to MOVE AWAY. Its excellent. The fried Okra is NOT slimy at all (which seems to be hard to do) and their gravy is awesome. I got the chicken but their shrimp was the best ever. The prices are EXCELLENT. Definitely good for a broke girl like me. Skip the KFC and go here instead.

I've been going here for years and I've never had a complaint. When they're busy, they'll tell you, but it's worth any wait. The food is fresh, the chicken and shrimp are crispy and never greasy, and their mashed potatoes are good. They also have a pie selection at the counter. Very small dining area, but most people grab to-go. Absolutely try!

Never have been here before so thought we would try it. Very reasonable prices and the chicken was excellent! You ordered at the counter and they bring your food in a to go box. Alot of people call ahead for to go. They have tables for to eat there. Highly recommend trying this place!

This is the best hole in the wall joint in st Louis. The chicken is amazing and the people are great. Almost everyone who walks in is a regular coming back for more. You need to make the trip here once. You will not regret it

I've honestly never had anything better than this place. I'm not a big fried chicken fan, but this place made me think about my meal for several weeks after I ate it. DEFINITELY will be back and suggest this place! This place is super cheap and they give you a ton of food! Can't go wrong with a deal!

Prices are 4x what I used to pay. Side items are child size. I asked what came with the overpriced fish sandwich. I was told nothing. I used to frequent them because they were that good. You got more than you paid for. I'm not paying $12 bucks for a two piece meal because I have to order double and triple sides to make up for what used to be normal. Schnucks on Arsenal is the best bang for the buck. Porter's is good. It smelled awesome. I refuse to cave to greed. Fries are inexpensive. Every restaurant is doing this stuff. I'm done with it.

The chicken was very tasty. The sides were filled to the top. The fish was flaky and tender. All of it was made to order we had to wait a few minutes but it was HOT and GOOD. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful about getting the sauces we wanted. We stumbled on to one of those places that they take care of there customers.
