Fun and nostalgic restaurant experience inside the Jefferson City airport building. Good fish sandwich and good slaw and fantastic green beans. Good fish and shrimp plate. Service is good but maybe under staffed for the lunch rush.

Can't believe that a restaurant that was one of Jeff City's Best (2011) would have powdered coffee creamer. Food was good. Server not friendly at all. Atmosphere was ok if you like the aviation setting. Mostly older folks eating there, and apparently they are mostly regulars.

This place is a joke. No a/c.So hot you can't enjoy your food. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything exceptional. Could have eaten several other places, way more comfortable and just as good. I won't be going back and don't recommend the place.

The food at the restaurant is passable at a decent price. However, the family style serving system is apparently designed to deceive patrons into always paying more than they intended. If dining 'family style' at the restaurant, you MUST tell the waitress that you are only eating one of the three options, be it catfish, chicken or ham, or you will be hammered with the cost of a combo of the others if someone else orders the combo. I paid $16.60 for two pieces of chicken, mediocre mashed potatoes, okay green beans, and serviceable apple sauce - it was not worth it. I paid $16.60 because the owners apparently have no trust in the honesty of their patrons. They apparently assume everyone will eat everything within arm's reach if it's on the table. I didn't put up a fight over the matter, but then, they will just miss out on more than the few dollars they didn't want to take off the bill when people stop coming because of the pricing issues: something I plan to tell everyone whenever Nick's comes up in conversation.

Haven't eaten here on probably 10 years, went here for Easter dinner. Although the food took a little longer than we would have liked to arrive, they were busy, and overall the service and food were very good. We ordered family style. It was probably the best family style dining I have had. The chicken and potatoes were great. The catfish had good coating, but the filet itself needed more salt as it tasted slimy and bland, but was still fine to eat. The soft serve was very good as well. I would recommend Nick's and we will be going back.

A great place to go for well cooked comfort food. Service is always great and everything comes out fresh. Since it is a smaller establishment that tends to attract a large lunch crowd I would recommend anticipating a short wait to be seated during peak times.

This is my grandma's fried chicken. Best I've had since I was 11. Highly, HIGHLY recommend. If you love fried chicken, GO. Catfish is also great, but we go for the chicken. Excellent. And the service is superb. You always feel like a family member when you get there. Whether it's 2 of us or 20, they take GREAT care of you. Love Nick's!

We waited 45 minute then we asked how long our food was going to be and our waitress said they were plateing it now. Then a table that came in 20 minutes after us got their food. We tried to pay for a drink and leave and they said our food was coming out. Then they brought out only one plate and said the others were still cooking (we had nothing hard or changed anything). The waitress then said she puts tickets in order which we know is a lie. Then we were able to pay for our drinks. Food we did get was cold, slow, and staff was rude. Never eating here again.

Today my wife and I drove over to Nicks Family Resturant for breakfast. We had been to this Resturant several years before and had a wonderful meal. I ordered the Western omelet and my wife ordered scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were not light and fluffy, they were one solid mass. They had started as scrambled but cooked solid. My western omelet was not edable to me. The texture was off. The ham was long pieces latex on to. I had my wife tast it and she agreed that it did not tast right. My wife had been a chef and in the food service business all her life. Her mother had also been a chef. The waitress was polite when I told her that the texture and tast made it impossible for me to eat. For a meal that I had taken one bite of along with 1/2 a slice of toast , I was charged the full price. I can not recommend this Resturant

Excellent in every aspect! Google has the wrong open times though. They are open Sunday 10am to 7pm and Friday 7am to 2pm and 4pm to 9pm along with Monday to Thursday 7am to 2pm.

We just had lunch here at Nick' Family Restaurant, My fiancee and I love this place but theres 2 waitresse today who were very rude, (waitress with purple color hair ) start vaccuming the floor while customers still eating, we asked the other waitress nicely if she can tell the other to stop doing that , she asked me back and said " why is it bothering you ? " I told her its noisy and the dust is flying in our food , she did stop for a minure , then she did it again,There's still 8 customers including us that's still eating , I went personally and asked her if she can stop vacuuming, she look at me angrily, but she did stopped. I told her we will be out of there in five minutes. It's about 20 minutes before 2pm But , those 2 waitresses were laughing and enticingly antoginizing us , then when I paid the bill we didn't leave any tip , which I feel bad coz we usually give waitresses a good tip.Then ,when we walk out the door the other waitress loudly said, waitresses wor king for a tip, Her voice was very loud that we can hear it outside the door and she's not even our waitress, Theres still some customers inside when she rudely making that comments. The manner of those 2 waitresses are very inappropriate. I told my fiancee that I can't wait to get out of there. I have never been in restaurants that waitresses are vacuuming while you're trying to eat and enjoying the meal. We thought customers have the right to enjoy the meals without listening to loud vacuum and having dust flying in our food. I hope the owner will read this message. Sincerely , Gloria
