Visited solo for first time; was so impressed came back for a date night. Both times just asked waiter what was gluten free and went with first suggestion. Was blown away and with no regrets. Can't wait for another visit to explore their menu even more. Had some kind of peanut noodle first time, second time was a beef coconut curry dish. Amazing.

Amazing Vietnamese food. I came here for a farewell dinner from one of my friends on mother's day weekend. Needless to say the food is absolutely delicious and added a high note to the farewell. The banh mi and pho make a perfect lunch. I also highly recommend the Vietnamese crepe.

By far one of the most decent Asian food I had during my stay in St. Louis. I can't say this is the best pho, however, it is in St. Louis. I had the pho, and the soup base was good. The red bean drink is delicious! My niece and nephew ordered the grilled pork, and it was ok - they took a few bites only. My brother ordered the rice dish with the three different meat, and the pork chop was hard - he couldn't even eat it. My aunt ordered a shrimp noodle and she said it was good. Overall, it's good... not great!

After hearing such great things about Mai Lee I was excited to try it out. We got seated right away, we came right before rush hour so tables filled up very fast after we were seated and served water promptly. Service was good but ill be honest and say the food was very underwhelming. The menu is huge, which can sometimes be overwhelming so I simply went with the korean bbq and rice. My beef was so tough and fatty that I couldn't chew through it. I had to spit 3 pieces into a napkin which was extremely embarrassing. There's only 5 small pieces of meat too. My husband had the duck Mi soup and though it was good, we had better...actually Nudo House was MUCH better. My son had the Chinese vegetable fried rice and he enjoyed it.

We came on the recommendation of a friend and were absolutely not disappointed. So good. We had the pork bun and egg rolls for appetizers. The pork bun was delicious. We took the waiter's advice and wrapped the egg rolls in lettuce and cilantro before dipping in the sauce ... What a difference! Our friend had recommended the Bo Luc Lac (a marinated beef dish) and the Tom Rang Muoi (a garlic-ey shrimp dish). Wow. Take the rich, sweet marinated beef and dip in this salty lime sauce ... A little tomato and shredded salad ... Amazing. And the shrimp with unknown veggies over rice with this buttery garlic sauce that is so subtle and delicate and ... This sauce ... Is. The. Truth. Finish with a not-too-sweet banana thing for dessert. Very tasty. Shout out to exceptional service from our waiter. Hey Google people. Go get some Mai Lee!

I eat here once a month at least. Everything is good. Qui wouldn't let it be any other way. Banh Mi sandwiches are usually what I grab for lunch. You can't go wrong with the chicken Banh Mi. I have had many of the Vietnamese dinner options and they were all made with care and were delicious.I especially like the red curry options as well as the coconut and lemongrass dishes.

I love Mai Lee. I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve ordered here! I usually get their pho with combination beef and tripe. This time I got the bun no hue and wasn’t disappointed. My favorite appetizer is the ban xeo but it’s a lot of food so I don’t always order it. It gets pretty busy but it’s usually not too long of a wait to get a table and the service is always good. Try their Vietnamese coffee too!

Mai Lee has received a number of awards and accolades for a reason and I agree. The quality is the most important component of a restaurant and I have yet to be served sub-par food. My favorite is actually the bar area where I get amazing vegetarian spring rolls or soup. While the bar is full service, there are also tables, some against the windows facing the street, and that is where I like to sit and watch the TV.

yesterday 5/25/19 Ordered plain fried rice... rice was hard and dry like It had been sitting over night... That's not the bad part, looked Through the plate and there it was. An EYE LASH FOLLICLE.. Told the waiter, he did not apologize or ask did I want a replacement... took the plate and walked off.. Will not be back. And yes I am BLACK.

The Pho was very very tasty and the staff were friendly and knowledgable. The peppers for the soup were hot, fresh and delicious as were the ingredients! The shrimp and beef simmered perfectly with sips of cilantro and bamboo shoots. Would definitely recommend

Waxy small portions and they gave me ramen noodles instead of the lo me in noodles I paid for and then had the nerve to add a milky, salty thin gruel, as broth. Disgusting place and expensive!

Ordered and paid for food on-line. Took metro from downtown STL because this food is that good. Went to pick up...no food for me even though credit card was charged. RIP OFF!! Wont ever come back. Wont rip me off 2 times. Never again!!

This place is fantastic! I can't believe I lived in St Louis for three years and never tried here before. The Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious and prepared exquisitely as seen from the photographs. Had a really good lunch here yesterday. The lunch specials are numerous and delicious as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves pho, or Asian cuisine in general. Thanks you guys!

So glad that my brother and I found this place to get our Vietnamese fix! And Chinese if we feel like it. The service was quick and friendly and the staff has awesome t shirts. Definitely want to take advantage of their promos but that'll be for another visit. The restaurant was very clean and the server took our dishes as we finished them. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! My friend and I were the only black customers there and it showed! They were very rude! The waiter yelled at us (literally raised his voice) because my friend didn’t like her chicken. Then we asked for the manager and when he came as we were telling him about our disturbances he began to laugh! I will never return to this restaurant ever again and I don’t recommend anyone to ever go who don’t condone in discrimination or racial treatment!

I ate here with a few friends for the first time yesterday for an early dinner. It wasn’t super busy but it was a decent level of business flowing in our server hardly came to the table never offered us a drink menu even though we asked countless times we asked him questions on the menu and he hardly answered he seemed pissed off that we were there. The service was very terrible and then we got him that night and I got sick to my stomach with food poisoning I am six months pregnant and that effected me terribly I called off work today because of how terrible I felt do not eat her terrible service and food that gets you sick and worse of all I don’t think the owners care my review will probably mean nothing to them but it is the truth

Absolutely delicious food! This is a perfect spot for a date-night. I love that a lot of the food is vegetarian friendly (though, watch out for fish sauce!) and offer some unique plates I love to try. Their Ginger martini is a must!

Visited with a party of 9. Called 20 min ahead of time and they were able to accommodate us. Very extensive menu! Most of my party ordered various soup(s) and each one came out hot and appetizing. A large plate of lettuce, cilantro, green jalapeño peppers, lime was given for us to garnish our soup. Service was great.

The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, but the food was just okay. The banh mi had TONS of mayo on it which we weren't a fan of. The stir fried chicken in black bean sauce was just okay, it was your basic run of the mill Chinese ish food. The chicken with lemongrass and a coconut milk curry was very good though, I would definitely get that again. Overall I'm not sure I'll be back, there are other cheaper options that I think are better.

Very disappointing meal! Have been gone for 8 months and we looked forward to returning to a good meal. The pork fried rice lacked taste, the sweet and sour pork was hard as a brick and very little meat and the cashew chicken wasn't. What happened to this use to be fine restaurant that had excellent food? Not there today!!

A take out for 4. Appetizers (1 egg roll) and 2 soups (hot & sour) were tasty. Entrees on the other hand... (2 beef & broccoli, 1 beef with eggplant, 1 beef & vegetables). There was more sauce than necessary and these dishes were tasteless. In fact there was so much sauce that it was going over the out-of-shape styrofoam containers and leaking all over the plastic bags that were holding them. $110. Not impressed.

Overall, I had a great visit here (first time). Despite being obviously busy, we were quickly seated and our waiter was there before we knew it. He was very polite and I never let my drink run out. I got the Duck Curry Soup, and it was excellent. One of the best soups I've ever had. My wife, however, got something which I don't know the name of and found it to be very bland. May just be the style of the dish? Atmosphere was pretty loud due to all of the people and hard floors, so I don't know if I would call it romantic. But it was a good experience.

They're always busy because the food is so great that you may have to wait 15-25 min for a table. It's worth it though! The steamed bun is enough for 2 to share if you order as an app, so delicious! The bowls are a generous portion, leaving you full and possibly with leftovers. Very flavorful, fresh, and healthy. Service was good, and Mai Lee came over herself to say hello. Love that it's ran by the whole family. ❤

This place is well suited for large parties and group get togethers. There is enough space for everyone. Couples and individuals may want to choose other times due to the excessive noise and difficulty getting seating at peek times. The food selection is vast. However they are lean in the dessert area, not many options.I can't speak for the beer selection as nothing appealed to me. Tables are well spaced, the lighting is kept very low and the spaces are accessible. The service here is overall great. Watch for peek times though as the wait can be a bit excessive. The dishes with duck are worth the wait. Enjoy

By far one of the top if not the top places in St. Louis for Vietnamese. Definitely one of my favorites. Bring the kids, or not, it is still a nice dinner. Great place to stop and eat before a show or whatever. Can't go wrong with spring rolls and rare beef pho. I like the spring rolls with fish sauce vs the peanut sauce.

Our server was very polite and cheerful. The veggies were fresh but some were chopped into cubes. The shrimp was old and or of poor quality. The peppers were dried out , so the dish was not spicy. The sauce tasted (and looked) like it belonged in a crockpot. We were highly disappointed and will not be returning. Our meal AND taste buds were ruined.

Sorry but charging 3.50 for a Diet Pepsi???? Lololol also my bun bo hue was terrible. They didn’t use BUN BO HUE noodles they used the noodles that you eat in bun rieu and my bun bo hue had the bare minimum stuff in it. No cha lua or anything. Just a couple slices of meat. And also the broth was flavorless. This is coming from a Vietnamese person who grew up eating viet food all the time. This place is no better than pho grand when it comes to bun bo hue, and I’m guessing if their bun bo hue is bad, most of their other bun and pho must also be bad lmfao. Never coming here again

The food and service were excellent. The menu was quite large and included more vegetarian options than the website would indicate. There wasn't really a kids menu but the vegetable fried rice my son ordered was outstanding, and he loved it. The atmosphere was more like a cafe than a fine dining experience, and while it was busy on an early Saturday evening, we didn't need to wait.
