As you can see its rating is really good, and it's founded on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the evaluation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to put evaluations when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Irish pub.
I was here for a special event where bite size food was served buffet style. It is pub style food and atmosphere. They have a wide selection of beers and a good menu.
Great pub! Our waiter was great, the food was delicious, and there was a great selection of beers on tap! Will definitely be going again.
Was there last Friday. I'm not sure whether it was due to a lack of staff that night like they stated, but the food was alright at best taste wise and cold by the time it got to the table. Drinks and ambiance wise it was good. The live band was a nice change from the regular pub atmosphere.
Nice place. Chill. Good food. Cold beer. TV. Go for it!
Really good except our server was not happy to be there at all. Maybe she was just having a bad night. But food, drinks, and atmosphere were great.
Great good. Great service. And love the atmosphere.
Good bartenders and service. Selection of drafts never disappoints
Nice atmosphere. Need a few lighter items on menu.
The food was excellent, as usual. I love their dragon wings aka chicken wings. The Colcannon is also a favorite of mine. The wait time was a little long and the wait staff was nice, but not very attentive. I wish that this was a one-off experience, but unfortunately it isn't. The food is worth the wait, though.
Nice atmosphere, great service, but I haven't had a food dish here yet that I've liked. Food is very average.
Salad had brown lettuce, the bowl of clam chowder was not much more than a cup the two packages of crackers that were served with chowder were broken up in little pieces. The small amount of chowder we were served in the bowl had a good flavor but it was almost room temperature. The cod was over cooked missing tarter sauce Overall not a good experience. Not worth the money in my opinion. Our server seemed like he was not having a good day.
Get the chips, you won't be sorry. Service was great, too.
Amazing food and good staff. Special shoutout to David Kern the cook!
I love their many burgers. We go to the one in Webster. Another great sports bar.
Not great, but not terrible.
Service was really Slow.. Took them about 20min to bring 2 beers... But food got to the table real quick and it was delicious... Service could have been a Bit better, that‘s why I Wont give more Stars! But the food away Great!
The best fish and chips in town
Good food. Very consistent. But dark inside, cave like.
Don't get the bangers, they're overcooked and dry, also don't bother with the pretzels, way overpriced, $8, for the 3 that you get, they aren't even all that great. I loved the mash and the gravy for it when ordered as bangers and mash but the bangers suck. Other than that, very good food, good atmosphere.
Great beer selection, great pub food. Try the fried pickles! Amazing homemade potato chips.
We started going to the Webster location for the STL FC watch parties for their away games. They have great food, ambiance and a good beer selection!!
No idea how the food is because the service is so bad. Went there for the first time in months. Had stayed away due to indifferent/inattentive service on previous occasions. Difficulty getting a server after 10PM. They can't be bothered with customers. Things have only gotten worse. I made a point of interacting with employees and letting them know I was hungry when I first walked in 10PM Monday at Webster. I was then ignored for the next 20 minutes, 10 spent by the fire pit and the next 10 spent at the bar. The whole time I was at the bar, I never saw anyone who was an employee. Nobody. Sad to say, but this location seems to be in a death spiral where bad service begets worse service.
Service is hit or miss, but it's worth it for the food. Shepherd's pie is absolutely amazing.
Portions are huge and food is terrific. Good selections on their menu for food and drink. Love the location too.
Great atmosphere and better food
Where to begin. Oh. I know....mac and cheese.
Great beer. Great pub food. Great ambiance. What more could you want?
I'm 54yo and have to say tonight's meatloaf was the worst I've ever had.. Not only was mine and others at the tables cold, it was dry and flavorless. It looked like pressed dog food. The beans equally tasteless. With the large selection of beers on tap, I'm thinking they're hoping you drink so much you won't care about the food you're being served. This is not a one time thing either. I've been there multiple times and always had the same experience. NO MORE.
Enjoyed it. Food was good. Nothing really exceptional. Was hoping for a better choice of Irish beer, not just ABInbev products.
Table service is okay. The food is good but sometimes slow, it seems like when they are busy they don't have enough staff. We prefer to sit at the bar or high top tables, the bartenders have been there forever and are friendly and efficient. I actually like the addition of more TV's, usually they will put your game on if it isn't already. I prefer this to other nearby "sports" bars.
Great food,,, especially ther "pub burger"... and great atmosphere. Price is acceptable ($12-$15 for a burger/sandwich) considering the quality.
Had a very nice dinner. Long wait, but it's a popular place. The wait staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the house draft beer, smooth and malty!
I use to love this place but it seems the Webster location is on a downward slope. Last couple time food is middle of the road not awful but not as good as it use to be I have 3 stars due to past visits. Last visit would of been a 1or 2
We were in a party room in Llywelyn's. The room was so echo-y (sp?) that it was loud and hard to have a conversation. The main room of the place had high ceilings which helped a great deal on the noise level. The food is good bar food. The pita bread was really tasty. Nice selection of beers.
Always great food and excellent service.
WAY too hot inside. and the fans weren't turned on either. Instead of limiting their seating so that one place could be maintained cool, they settled for anemic AC on a day that was over 105 degrees. Not acceptable.
Today for lunch. Acceptable! My Cesar salad dressing was very salty.....had steak added....not much put on it. Nice environment...great location though! Should have ordered the meatloaf!
Friendly staff greeted us. We had a choice between tall or short tables. The menu had a good variety of apps, sandwiches and Pub Grub. Our party of three had fish and chips, steak and cheese sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. Everyone said they were good. The portions were generous. The list of beers on tap was extensive enough for most any taste. In all a good experience.
Llywelyn's in Webster is a great meeting place, and has a great menu! I'll be back soon!
They have a couple of whiskeys behind the bar that most places don't carry. The food is pretty good also. The service could be better but maybe we just caught them on an off night. Pricing is pretty normal for this type of establishment. Not overly cheap, but not outrageously expensive. Plenty of seating for larger groups.
I'd love to give these folks 5 stars, but they just can't seem to get the kitchen inconsistency problem under control. It's been about 6 months since we were here last, as there was a bad experience stemming from the kitchen staff. After giving them a long break we decided to see if things were better. Three of us got identical Pub Burgers, ordered med-well. Two were rare, one was cooked correctly. Another in our group had the Double Dip come out stone cold. The service here was fantastic. We felt bad for our server, as she was having to explain away the kitchen's issues all evening. The manager was very apologetic and not only comped our dinner, but gave us a couple of complimentary desserts, because it was my birthday. I want to give them another try, but they've got to work out those cook problems!
Food was very good and service was great.
We we're not very happy with our visit. Paid $12 for a hamburger it was the size of a White Castle and the coleslaw with it literally had no dressing on it. Family members had same opinion. Food took very long to come out after ordering off a limited menu. We will have to rethink next year's restaurant choice.
Very warm inside at front area. Service was very slow even with a 5 o'clock reservation. Steak sandwich was tough, fish greasy and all the food was cold. We waited over 45 min. for our order. Such a shame we used to like your place. Your St. Charles restaurant puts you to shame. Sorry there was nothing positive about last night's experience. Hope you can remedy this.
Food tasty. Lots and of it too.
Service, food, and Beverages were superb and above 5 star. Highly recommend.
Great staff and atmosphere
Good service. Very good food.
Always love a good irish pub
Great food! Came in for a late lunch, during what I hope was right at shift change. Packed house, and a large private party in the back, so service was a bit slow at first. The bartenders made that a forgotten memory quickly with drinks though.
While this is an Irish pub its not very Irish but better than some others in the St. Louis area. Most often playing traditional American rock music. Large spaces good for groups and gatherings. They have a small stage for events. They have some Irish food like Shepherd's pie (it's decent but not amazing), fish and chips (pretty good), and bangers and mash (nice hearty flavor if you like lamb). Rest of food is traditional American sandwiches and fare.
Great atmosphere, drinks, and friendly service!
The beef stew was very good even if the carrots were barely cooked. Service was great, and we sat near the fire on a chilly, rainy day.
Food is great. We had the cheese steak sandwich & chicken salid sandwich. Sweet potato fries are good too.
As you can see, had a party there. It was a great time. Dedicated bar service and some of my favorite bar finger foods: mini taco, pretzels, and fried pickles! Still eating on them a few days later. Loved it!
Overall, the food was good, but the service was piss poor. As a vegetarian, I was disappointed to bite into my Impossible burger to find an undercooked beef patty. My girlfriend also wasn’t happy to find a small, curly, black hair in her grilled cheese. My party did not receive a single refill during our hour-long visit until we requested the hostess seek out our absent-minded server. I give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, hence the two stars, and I would be open to trying it again despite the service.
Attended a retirement party here and decided to check out the full menu. The food was pretty good. Not many restaurants offer Rainbow Trout and it was great!
Great Irish bar with some tasty eats! A few locations in the STL area, all are different, but have a great atmosphere. This location in downtown Webster Groves has a cavernous main hall with side rooms and a lounge area with fireplace. Great bands on the weekends!
The food is great, service could be better. It took over 15 minutes before anyone came by, multiple tables around us were impacted as well. I would chalk it up to being short staffed, but this is the second time we've been there in a few months that this has happened. The kitchen seems to have some trouble prioritizing for a small top when there are multiple large parties, as our children food and appetizers came out at the same time as our other food, which was ordered much later. If it's a staffing issue it seems that it is an ongoing issue that needs resolution. We like this place and hope it gets better.
Great atmosphere. Our bartender Monday night was awesome! Great wings. Lots of good beer.
I've been coming to Llewellyn's pub for about a decade. The staff is friendly and helpful. They've got a great variety of beverages and pub type food. Their happy hour has good specials on appetizers and drinks. My favorite food item is the pub burger: toasted English muffin, quarter pounder patty, caramelized onions, cheese sauce (might be rarebit). I come here every time I'm in Saint Louis.
The food is aways pretty good, and they have loads of great beer. They do tend to get fairly busy with big crowds on weekends, which can slow wait staff down.
My family and I visited the pub 21 March 2019 during dinner..... Excellent!!!! Service! as always! I had the cod dinner and other family members were pleased with the tasty big-portions of food! Yummy
Rather disappointing not what I expected
Good place to grab a beer, the ambiance is great for a pub. Service is friendly but not particularly fast. Food is hit or miss. Double dip sandwich was good, but fish and chips was flavorless and texture made me think it's just pre battered frozen filets. Fries are generic. Burgers were good. I'll definitely be grabbing beers here again, but will likely pass on food.
What a treasure! The Irish food is traditional and fresh! Beer selection more than one needs HUGE selection.
The service is very friendly and was able to surprise us with what we originally ordered after telling us they were out of a couple things. The food was really good and we really enjoyed being able to sit out on the patio and sip tea. They have daily specials andawesome happy hour specials. Always a good time.
Food was excellent. Service wasn't as good as it could have been.
Love the eats and drinks!
Bad service! Took forever to get our food. The roast beef dinner was bad. Raw Carrots, lumps in the potato's. My grandson's fish was raw. Broccoli was laying on top of fish and tasted bad. Offered us a free dessert, but only 1 for 5 people. The waitress had on a stocking cap. Weird!
The Rachel with a side of garlic mash potatoes. The results, Wow. Great flavor combination. Bread is toasted and provides a great contrast to the meat of the sandwich. All around I recommend this combination. Very good.
Love the food and great beer choices.
Fine beer selection and family friendly
Good food and good drinks! Depending on when you go, it can be crowded and very lively. Drinks can get pricey, but that's what going to a bar is like.
The best location for these guys. They still have a top 3 beer event during craft beer week.
Great beer selection. Very good food. Prices are just ok, but they have two bars so it's easy to get a beer.
So many places that used to be great are empty. Recipe changes? Cooks leaving St. Louis?
Great food and atmosphere
The Impossible Burger was fabulous!
Great food and a great atmosphere. None threatening and very comfortable with a great beer list.
Fantastic beer selection and some of the best food around. Good for families or just hanging out.
A great local chain with good British / American fare. As with the other locations, it has a comfortable and inviting vibe, good service, and good food. This location seems very spacious! They also have a happy little patio up front.
Great English/Irish pub. Visiting from OKC, and had a great time with the Gateway Gooners for The Arsenal's last match. Very good beer selection too!
Lucky to have Chris as a waiter. The manager was extremely rude to our group and disrespectful. Food was ok and quality beer selection was lacking.
Impossible burger omgoodness!
People were great Good atmosphere the burger? I want impressed it wasn't bad but for 13$ I would like to be impressed
I went back in January and had a terrible experience. I have a sever allergy to peanuts and tree nuts and they could not guarantee anything in the kitchen to have no nuts. It was very frustrating and their lack of knowledge in what they are selling was problematic. The service was also terrible.
One of the worst experiences I have had here. We had a party of 8 and only 2 people got their order right. I can't really say who fault it was either the cooks or waitress. Manager came out and was nice and offered to make it right and offered the kids desserts, and take care of some of the bill. They brought 1 gooey butter cake for all the kids to split?? My bill came and all she took off was $2.75 for the watered down lemonade, and then they charged me 50 cents for a side of MAYO!!!! If I could I would give it 0 stars.
Cheap drinks. They got rid of my favorite dinner items. No more calamari. No more mussels either. But the pub food is still good. Great setting. Working fireplace. Games. Private party room
This place is amazing. Great staff, great food and great place to host big parties. I love this place.
great place. great food friendly staff. had a great time at our family Christmas party there
Can't go wrong with Llywelyns. Great pub and comfort fare.
Easy to gwt a table, food is good and comes quick.
Best veggie burgers!
I went for lunch and had a side Caesar salad with a drink. My bill showed up on my statement as $27... i did not tip because my lunch date did. So because i made the complaint and wasn't contacted by management to be resolved I would say that the waitresses are adding their own tip to credit/debit transactions and its completely OK with staff
Love Llywelyn's Irish Pub. A great atmosphere, terrific service , and lip smacking, delectable food! One of my favorite places to visit time and time again!
Not very good food was cold and over cooked not coming back
Visited with a group. The room was fine. The food was average. Not saying that you should not visit. Just seemed to be average.
Service was a lil slow but food was good and beer was cold. Plenty of TVs to watch sports
Great food and great customer service
Great St. Louis local place. Great beer selection, food even better!! Check out the cast beers!
Good price, decent service, great food. Beer was pretty good as well.
Great food and service!
Great place to grab drinks with a group.
My husband and I stopped in Llywelyn's Pub for a "snack" instead of having a large lunch. We ordered the Shepherd's Pie to share, and let me tell you....We had much more than a "snack". First we were served a salad and the wait staff were very happy to bring 2 bowls so we could divide the food. (We didn't even have to ask). Then they brought out the shepherd's pie and it was a DEEP dish. Even though we were sharing, we both agreed that we each had a full meal, not a "snack". The experience was pleasing from beginning to end, and I'd recommend this place to others!
Was pretty good. Not a fan of their cheese sauce but the rest of everything else was good.
Good food-poor service!!
After going to Llewellyns Pub for almost 20 years we still like the place very much. Good service a comfortable atmosphere and video games for the kids to play. The food is very good and there's plenty of beer choices. Also service here has always been top notch. Happy hours, Free parking and music (and sports on more than 10 tv's) make this a great place to meet up and have a drink. We averaged $25 per person.
