After seeing bulgolgi fries I regret not ordering them. Korean Spicy Wings were excellent. I will be back

Jake M

Pretty decent. Not a lot of ethnic foods to choose from downtown. Korean bowls need more protein in them. Great if you like lots of veggies. Get the egg friend hard on the bowls unless you like sunny side up. Going to try the fried chicken next time.

Jay Gee

Great food! Worth the walk!

Great place. Great food. Takos and kuesadilla are fantastic. Chicken with spicy sauce will leave you wanting more. Perfect place for lunch or a quick dinner. Great place to visit before or after exploring the great Laclede's Landing!

Acceptable fast serve Korean food

Ellen Martin

Great service. Juicy chicken. Would definitely go again.

nikuraba29

Great. This new restaurant in downtown St. Louis is an easy 5 minutes from the Arch. I recommend the wings in original sauce with some kimchi fried rice.

Best bibimbap I've had since I moved to STL! Amazing wings, perfectly crunchy and juicy. Nice staff!

Marita Alexander

We tried the korrito, Korean chicken wings, fried rice and kimchee cabbage and everything was sooo delicious. I can't wait to go back.

I don't know what this other guy is on, but I had some wings at the international fest and they were phenomenal. I will definitely be eating here in the future.

Jenny Herber

The food here is great. We watched several people look at the sign but walk away. You should have come in! I had the Bolgogi Philly and it was delicious!

Kenneth Hom

Really good korean chicken + other food as well.

Tyler McDonald

I wish i could give this place a higher rating because the food is awesome. Ive been in 6 times since opening and the thing that kills me is the wait time. 40mins for chicken strips..... there was 4 people in the dining area and 6 people working the kitchen. Youd think with all the help food would be moving faster. Hope you guys get your rythem soon. As im writing this im waiting on my meal ordered at 11:55 and its going on 12:30.....

Randy Mathenia

This place has great food and is definitely worth a visit, but an authentic Korean place is going to deliver a more satisfying quench for this type of cuisine. Presentation, service and overall quality of the food were all very good. Overall, I would compare this type of restaurant as being analagous to the relation between how Qdoba is to authentic Mexican. Go here if you want a nice sorta-Korean dish compacted into a speedy quick service restaurant.

Selina

I'm giving 4 stars because I think there's a lot of potential for this place and I went the second day that they opened. However, there are several things that I would like to see some changes. My first suggestion is that I was expecting some chopsticks to be available! It just makes eating the BBQ bowls and chicken (personal preference but an option would be nice!). A second comment that I wanted to mention is the portion size! I have attached a photo of the 2 piece chicken (which was recommended by a staff member.. she said that the 2-piece was filling for her and probably for me as well.. and lets just say it wasn't lol). the length of a chicken is about the width of receipt paper. Another thing was that I wanted some of the hot fries as my side, but they had ran out, which is unfortunate.. The flavor of the chicken was great, the crisp was perfect. I'd be willing to go back again.

Derek Theisen

Great food, service was pretty slow though for how few people and how many workers were in the restaurant. I had the chicken sandwich which was fried perfectly with a flaky crust and had a the delicious original sauce on top. Sandwich had so much chicken on it I took some off and enjoyed it separately, definitely a great deal. Other guests had fried chicken with various sauces and it all looked and smelled great. The kimchi fried rice on the side is also a must Definitely plan to go back soon

So good... Must try

keith bryer

Took an hour and 20 minutes to get food. Paid about $14 for 3 chicken tenders the size of my pinky finger with a small bowl of rice and soda. Chicken was ok, rice was bland. Tried 2 soda flavors, both terrible

chris lhotak

Good service, food & Jinro alcohol. Check it out!

Flint Finlinson

This place is amazingly delicious!

James Glasscock

Great food. Kind of like fast food but everything is made fresh when you order. Saw a picture of the fried chicken on our way out. Will definitely be going back to try that out.

Love the crispy soy garlic fried chicken. Love the potato salad and the BBQ beef bulgogi bowl!!

Rebecca Lewis

Food was really good! Friendly service also.

Noah Rosenblatt

They're not open yet (and so that 1 star review is ridiculous and damaging), but I had their chicken at the International Fest and it was absolutely amazing. I cannot wait for them to open.

Dana Stegall

Absolutely love this place...

OG Turner

Great food, fast service

Abu Weng

The chicken is quite tasty but not moist. The food portion is also very small. Expect to pay at least $20++ to be full. The other items on the menu are okay, but the mandu are terrible. The fries has a very similar taste to Arby's fries. The fried rice is good.

Bobbi Ofstein

Tiny place. Generous portions of food.

John Cooke

Jason LiCavoli

Good food and service was fast

Frank Harry

Convenient to downtown with great bowls, wraps and fried chicken. Also has Soju, which is the most consumed alcohol on the planet. It was the first time I had tried it and they have a happy hour on Wednesday, three to six, that I hope will expand to more days a week as the Soju was really good

Steven Nguyen

Awesome place for casual korean food. I got the wings and my girlfriend got the bowl. Both were great will definitely come again.

I’ll start off by saying I’m from ATL where there is a plethora of Korean food and especially Korean Fried Chicken available. I’m also not fond of Korean fusion as it is geared towards the westerner’s mouth. With that being said... The chicken was great! We ordered 3 full chickens, extra crispy with sauce on the side and it was delicious. The restaurant is new, which is why this is a provisional 4 star review, but my biggest pet peeve is when a restaurant can’t get your takeout order right. We had one side and a sauce order mistaken for another after it was clarified we had the correct ones. It was the white radish(vs. kimchi radish which is RED, not hard to differentiate between the two) we particularly wanted and it wasn’t given. This wouldn’t normally be a big deal in ATL where the radish is included with the meal, but we’re paying for these sides($$$ sides, a bit cheaper with the combo) so I’d expect them to be correct. We also had 3 of the sauces on the side but were only given the original(not spicy at all), in 3 side cups. Overall, it IS a bit pricey for what you get but what can you expect when there really isn’t competition for Korean Fried Chicken in the area. The radish NOT being included with the meal is a surprise so either it’s more $$ to get around here for the restaurant or they’re aware people around here won’t notice. If you’re a fan of Korean fusion, you’ll love this.

Daehyeon Kim

After trying out this place, I don't feel the need to go to South Korea to eat Korean Fried Chicken. Their Korean Fried chicken is really good.

Gabrielle Hyde

Tried their tacos and street corn, was pleased. If you’re looking for Korean food, this isn’t it. This is more fusion but was completely delicious and I will be back to try something else!

Exceptional food, exceptional service. The only problem... there isn't a location in the county!

Fantastic food was super good. Very flavorable. Would def recommend if your a foodie tourist!

Love the concept!!! I had the vegan takos, cabbage kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and white radish kimchi. The only issue is when the worker tells you the kimchi sides are the same and it is not that great so it does not matter...you know that this person is here for the paycheck. BTW this drink put me in the good mood #kimchilover

Nicole

Not a fan of leaving negative reviews. So facts only, street corn made with canned corn. Says something about quality.

Jim Miller

Great Fried Chicken and Bebimbop bowls

Kerry Vinson

Weekday lunch. Quick ordering process, food delivered within minutes, chow down, out the door. Very delicious food! Great place!

Naman Pandey

Great food. Little pricey. Some nice flavors

adrianna harding

Walked in to a happy atmosphere, which means the food should be amazing... which it was there was NO DISAPPOINTMENT! I loved the extra crunch the chicken has! I stuck with the Original Korean sauce and it does have some burn, but goood! I paired it with the also spicy street corn, so if your palette is sensitive to delicious spice try something else. I choose a Korean beer and as Tony said it went along great. He was very tentative and open to feedback. This is how you keep people coming back. Great job for only being on your 3rd month more diversity is a necessity in St.Louis! Best of wishes to your business.

Katachi Neko

Very yummy wings, Good Meat Bowls, And very good Kimchi! I'm Korean and It's pretty good casual Korean food imo. Went on Saturday during lunch with my boyfriend it was cozy, clean and fast. They have friendly staff and owner is very enthusiastic. Would definately recommend!

Krystal Woo

Brian Burmeister

Great food with flavorful spices.

Gerald Carrier

No, I have to admit I had to have not been there. However, their ad states that they are the first and only to serve Korean Fried Chicken in St Louis. This is not true! The Copper Pig has some wonderful KFC, Korean fried chicken and did it before Kimchi Guys. For advertising “being the first and only” they need to check their facts. False ever ties it doesn’t get my business.

Benjapol Piyawanichpong

Delicious and good price

Audrey Toole

Came here right after they opened. The space is very cool, ordering very stream lined. Tried a yummy drink and the kimchi nachos. They were huge! And delicious. Only complaint is that the cheese on them was cold.

Natasha Newburn

FINALLY!!!!! I think I’m gonna cry I’m so happy...

L-Doc B

Not enough seating. The chicken was good the 2 or 3oz cold cabbage they give you was not good it tasted spoiled. This meal costed $14.81

Josh Ristow

Good korean take out food!

Jen McMillin

Delicious! We had the Korean fried chicken and the bibimbap. Highly recommend both.

Arielle Minor Anderson

Meant to do this review a few weeks ago! I went here not long after they opened and ordered to go. The tasted great, I should have ordered more!! Next time I go I'll have to try the Soju they have there! Will definitely return soon!

John Bracamontes

Kimchi Guys is new and has not disappointed. The food has been fantastic. I personally get the takos and my team likes it as well.

James Link

Amazing Korean fried chicken

Tyler Duffy

Chicken was decent. Horrible location - had to pay for surface parking in this ghost town.

Chris M

Came in not knowing what to expect, and I was blown away! I'm not one to veer much from the American standards when it comes to food, but I was apparently missing out. Clean, great service, and amazing selection of Korean drinks! Definitely coming back! And the WINGS!!!!

Nick Bagnall

Duy Nguyen

The fried chicken sandwich was on point. U feel the crispiness of the chicken before the sweet chili hit your tongue.

Douglas Kieper

Jen O'Neal

First time there today, I got the meat + kimchi bowl with some KG sauce and it was great! My co-worker got the chicken strips with the original sauce, the strips weremore like flattened chicken breasts and amazing! Next time I'm definitely getting chicken!

Vitad Pradith

Shelly Chloupek

This was a great place for a lunch. Lots of interesting menu items. I needs to go back to sample some of the other food I saw. Three piece Korean BBQ chicken was delicious. I tried two different sauces and both were good. Also some interesting soda choices and Korean beer options. The area right below Laclede's bridge seems like you are stepping back in time.

Ryan Justice

Yum! Had the Bulgogi bowl and loaded fries. Must try!

Tony Chien

The location is a little bit tricky to find even with google map. There is a paid parking across the restaurant. Free parking is hard to find at that location. The road is rough to drive due to brick road. Other than that, the food is good. Their fried chicken is different because it is fried twice at 2 different temperatures. The skin is much crunchier and more crispy and less greasy. They have different sauces for their fried chicken. If you like fried chicken, you definitely need to try this out.

Melissa Kueker

The loaded fries were amazing. Martin was very kind and helpful!

ANDREW S HAGOOD

Very interesting experience..

Ibrahim Ameer

Paris Brown

The food was absolutely delicious! I got to try their Vegan Bowl. It came with rice, bean sprouts, pickled kinchi and carrots min, mushrooms and a special KG sauce. It was best Korean food I have tried in St. Louis. If you can, try their Jinro, it is sweet sake. I will definitely come back!

Steven Chalfin

Jessica P

It was pretty good, and even though they have counter service, not table service, one of the employees came by to introduce herself and check on us. I tried the meat and kimchi bowl. The flavors were very good. The one thing I didn't like was that I was really in the mood for Kim-chi, and I thought a menu item with kimchi in the name would have a noticeable amount of it. However there was probably two tablespoons of kimchi. The bowl comes with mixed greens, and there was very little of that also. The bowl did have a TON of rice. Overall the bowl was great and flavorful, just weird proportions. I would still recommend this place and would cme back to try another menu item.

Flap Jack

The 3-piece Chicken with the original spicy sauce was crispy and moist, and the Kimchi cucumber had a good flavor with just the right amount of heat.

Vivienne

So so

Robert Rossa

Had the tacos was my first experience with Korean bbq and really enjoyed it will be back

Colin Bailey

Lingzi Luo

This is not a Korean food restaurant, this is a fast food restaurant which is over priced for what you get. The kimchi is probably from those jars sold in grocery store which isn’t very good, fried chicken is very American style, and the bibimbop lacks meat portion and is very bland (U City Grill in Delmar has bibimbop for $6 for more meat...). No free parking. You are expected to clean everything afterwards. They only have one small hole for you to get rid of everything, no recycle or anything, so you throw in a plastic cup and then cover it with all the chicken bones and rice and kimchi that you couldn’t finish. It was kind of gross.

Scott Stopyak

Super good. If you like Kimchi, even a little, you need to check this place out.

Ryan Smith

Kimchi Guys is one of the restaurants located in the Laclede's Landing right next to the Arch. The location itself is super clean and refreshing. But that's where appeal of the restaurant ended. For being the only people in the restaurant at the time we ordered, having to wait 15-20 minutes for our meal was a little unusual. And somehow even though it took an abnormally long time to cook the food, the food still managed to be cold by the time it hit our table. I ordered the 3 piece chicken, which somehow once again by a stroke of luck I somehow ended up with the fattiest piece of chicken...it was very difficult to eat. Lastly we noticed that some of the utensils were not super clean and we had to clean them ourselves. Overall, I was super excited to try Kimchi Guys. But it didnt end up quite as well as I wanted it, unfortunately I don't think I'll be back.

Tom Davis

Toni

I love their Korean fusion creations and the fact that the sell soju!

Essence Morris

I didn't eat here so I don't know what the food taste like. Before we ordered we noticed the woman had no sense of good hygiene and went from the register to touch raw chicken with her bare hands and came back to the register.

Tried three different sauces. All delicious. Chicken was tender and breading was perfectly crunchy. Loved it! Only wish it was in a different location.

Errin Anderson

Super tasty. Very nice staff. The sauces are bomb

Kimchi Guys has delicious Korean fried chicken that's crunchy and flavorful. Try the kurrito that's got korean spicy pork it's excellent. I give them a 5 star.

Everett Litton

Great food and experience!

Amber Callan

Absolutely loved Kim Chi Guys! Getting a half chicken with their spicy original sauce hasn't let me down yet. It's delicious food, fairly quick service and a great spot down on the landing. We've driven down there a couple times purely to grab Kim Chi Guys and they've been consistently delicious every time!

Daniel Kerwood

The food was terrible here.... At least it might have been good. Or who knows? I never had any. It was closed. Or under renovation? Signs, doors but nothing. Looked permanently closed. But Yelp and Google said it was open. I found two numbers. Tried both. Both went to voicemail. But the inner door was unlocked. Maybe I should have went in and made myself something. I really wanted to try the place. It's a shame.

John Opager

Attended the grand opening today. The chicken is crispy and juicy, and their original sauce is delicious. A nice combination of sweet with a bit of spice. The hot fries were well seasoned, and the mandu were quite tasty. The service speed will need some work, but I expect that to improve with time. Provisional 5 stars for the fantastic food, nice decor, and wide selection.

Patrick O'Donovan

Yummy Korean food

Ordered via GrubHub. Received a small thigh and leg for $13. Didn't received any of the sides I paid for. The chicken was good, too bad I was still starving afterwards.

My favorite bibimbap in the city and the wings were excellent to. Can't wait to try more.

Nathan Wright

Tasty food downtown! Good combination of Korean BBQ with Mexican themes. I know, it's not the first combination you'd think of, but it works well!

Fishin' In Scrubs

It's OK... Not terrible... Not very memorable... If you order the bibim bap, make sure to ask for gochuchang on the side...

Thanaphat Chananukul

The wings were decent and portion to price ratio was acceptable. Recommend the bugolgi fries. Service was amazing. Definitely a go to lunch place for me from now on.

Kenneth Grant

Growing up with a Korean mother, I have high expectations for Korean (inspired) food. Let me say, Kimchi Guys delivered and I was pleasantly surprised. The Spicy Original flavor was on point and tasted like it came out of my mom's kitchen. They offered a wide variety of kimchi as well. I ordered the white radish kimchi (daikon) and it was delicious. I also ordered a bottle of the soju which was reasonably priced. The chicken was the crunchiest chicken I had ever sank my teeth into, and the presentation of the food was excellent. The only downfall for me is the location. I hope they expand out west to the county.

Robert Crawford

Great food great service clean restaurant.
