Just saw John Scofield & Joe Lovano here tonite. THE premiere jazz club in the Midwest. The renovation done (a couple of years ago. I think) has expanded the seating & opened up the place. Just an elegant (but not stuffy), first-rate place to hear the greats in jazz music.

A couple friends brought us because they had free tickets. It was better than I was expecting, not normally a jazz fan but the music was awesome. Dinner and drinks were good but quite pricey. 16 dollars for burger and fries. Overall very cool atmosphere and the show lasted 1 hour which I think was the perfect amount of time.

Saw a tribute to Nat King Cole with local jazz artists. It was a free show, of course the dinner cost. Music was great in a wonderful atmosphere, really a great place to see a show in a small setting. Food and drinks were good also, a little on the pricey side but that's what it is. Have been several times before for various shows and have never been disappointed. Great music, great food and great service!

Poor service. The kitchen ran out of three of the main entrèe's. When served an appetizer the waitress didn't notice there was no flatware on our table and walked away. We ordered separate appetizers that came out at different times so we didn't even get to eat together, which I hate by the way. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir but was served a Pinot Grigio instead. Molly & Shay where our servers along with two ladies wearing (ha jibs?)

For some, you will read this and know exactly what I experienced, for some you may have wanted to go but just haven't yet and for those like me prior, I had no idea it was even here. I was invited by and friend and Uber to the location. When you walk in you have the little bistro to the right and the venue to the left. I went to the bistro and grabbed a drink before the performance started. The venue is small and personal so it didn't look like there was a bad seat in the house. We were center stage and the band performing is absolutely fantastic. Great music, good entertainers and a perfect venue for an outing with friend, family or a date. Highly recommend.

They have great shows on a regular basis with critically acclaimed local artists. They're one of the few options we have to watch a good jazz show and this place takes it seriously. Great acoustics all around. The menu options are delicious and generous and the location has a well stocked bar.

This is the classiest place to hear live jazz in the area. The food is not overpriced, but it is also not cheap. You get what you pay for in this place, so the quality is high as is the cost. If you just want to hear jazz and not eat, that is fine--get a cup of coffee and glass of water and relax.

I come 3 to 5 times a year...it is a wonderful place to hear some good jazzed I love the atmosphere. However the food leaves a lot to be desired and is not worth the price (a little salt or seasoning would bring much needed flavor). I will come for the music, but not the food.

Clarify the price system!! At The entrance, I asked if dinner included the price but he said we had a choice. What choise? I did not know we had to share the table with other customers. Dinner menu only has number that was actually price but hard to see. Music was great but food was rip off.

Wonderful venue to hear jazz and other types of music! Acoustics are great and there is not a bad seat in the house. Great supporter of the arts here in St. Louis, especially with bringing music to the youth in STL! Jazz St. Louis offers discount student tickets to almost all shows for as low as $10!! Downfall is the food and drinks are quite pricey and service is very slow. The venue needs to hire more workers than volunteers to help run the different nightly sets. Arrive early when the doors open if you decide to dine for better service! Also seating and tables are very close together, so if you have trouble with personal space, I suggest either a bar seat or a seat over at Nancy’s Jazz Lounge. Most tables seat 4 so if you don’t buy the entire table other people will be sitting with you and possible dining as well.

The new decor is modern yet cozy. Really dig it. The new food menu is a BIG step in the right direction! The duck wings are superb, the caramelized onion soup was delectable. The salmon was okay, but one of my table-mates ordered the rotisserie chicken, and it looked good enough to make me very jealous. Next time I will probably order the chicken instead of the salmon. The music was, as always, superb. Can't wait to go back!

I enjoyed the ambiance BUT the service was poor. Our waitress Jackelyn came and took our drink orders when we first got there, and that was it. My husband had to grab her attention about 30 minutes after not seeing her, to ask for another beer. She NEVER brought the beer, nor did she ask if we needed any additional assistance the entire time we were there. We saw her serving tables around us but she failed to provide us the service we desperately wanted. I was so excited to go to this establishment per the good reviews, not to mention we were celebrating our anniversary. Didn't try the food so I can't review that. The kids that played during the show did great.

It's my understanding that they recently redesigned the whole room, and the space provides a great, intimate atmosphere with the performers. The online seat selection didn't quite give an accurate idea of where our table would be, and we ended up not being able to see very well. Had we known that, we would have sifted different seating. The food looked nice, the drinks are great, but the prices are on the high end.
