Very Clean Restaurant. Staff is very pleasant. Breakfast is the best meal. A couple of meals I didn't care for like the spaghetti had hardly any sauce or flavor and wasn't drained well, so it was watery on the plate. I tried the fried fish and it was breaded heavily with a breading I have never tasted before and not the typical recipe one would expect. The fish was so thin that you couldn't take the breading off without destroying the fish. Even scraping out the fish was impossible. The club sandwiches are very good and the omelets. So if you are a breakfast person, it is good. The pies aren't homemade, store bought and I think frozen.

Even though it was nearing the noon lunch time, we were in the mood for breakfast food and this place has it all day long! It's good home cooked food with great flavor AND good service! The menue is full of choices for you and it won't break your bank account. Come try them, easy to find and lots of seating. Down home atmosphere.

Loved it here! Pulled in on spur of the moment. I got the pork tenderloin sandwich, and it may be the best one I ever had! My husband's burger was equally delicious. We will definitely go out of our way to eat here again! And the staff here are great too! What a gem of a place!!

Food wasn't fresh, looking to have homemade food, but it wasn't. The green beans were from a can, the fries were frozen not fresh cut. The fish and shrimp was battered then frozen, not fresh at all. Wouldn't recommend this place to my arch nemesis, if I wanted frozen food I would cook a TV dinner. Don't waste your time eating here.

The food here is so/so. The mashed potatoes and gravy weren't good at all. They tasted old, were probably instant, and reminded me of crappy cafeteria food growing up. There was something off putting about the gravy, couldn't figure it out. But they know how too cook and season a steak and even though they were packed the service was awesome.

Fanomial breakfast, fantastic service, and cheap to boot. I will be visiting again soon. This restaurant has a hometown feel, the atmosphere was calm and my coffee cup was never more than half empty. P.s. there are a lot of flea markets and antique shops within walking distance.

We were craving a family restaurant. I have only passed it 500 times driving to and from work.... everything we ate was previously frozen and battered or came from a can. Zero talent was needed. Maybe we should have ordered breakfast food or a different meal. We will not be back. Decent service though.

Gold Star is the perfect example of what my parents called a "Blue Plate Diner". Daily specials often include homemade soup that is actually made on the premise. The Chicken Fried Steak and Fried Chicken are hand battered and not frozen. The pie selection is amazing and the perfect compliment to an amazing meal. Anyone travelling through Billings MO needs to stop for a meal at this local treasure!!!
