The food is homemade, and mostly delicious. I don't eat fried chicken, or catfish, and i abhor liver, however, even if i happen to come there on one of those nights, there are still plenty of other delicious things on the bar, and the cakes and pies are all delicious. The soft serve ice cream is the best. The fact that this place is packed every day for the two meals, is a testimony to just how good the food is.

We were in Moberly and was going to eat somewhere there when hubby remembered a friend telling him about Don's. So, we thought we would try it out....had never been to Huntsville so was surprised that a restaurant with a buffet was even there! Needless to say, we filled ourselves up! Will definitely be back!

Don's was fannnnntastic! I usually get a steak when I'm in there (typically ribeye), but I went for buffet this time. I'm not a big chicken person, but this chicken was wonderful! I also love the tea they have, and the friendliness of their waitresses. Definitely recommend.

Did not eat there. They would not except a bariatric card from stomach surgery. Also would not allow you to order off the menu. So wasn't be paying $15 and only able to eat 10 ounces of food. Outrageous priceing.

Good food good price needs a bit more selection on the food bar and better salad. Need more than just iceberg lettuce for the salad bar leafy types like perhaps baby spinach or something like that would go along way and they don’t keep blue cheese on the bar you have to ask for it. The soft serve ice cream is always a hit they have vanilla chocolate of course traditional twist always seem to have the strawberries there to put on the ice cream or the angel food cake. Desserts are good with a wide selection.I would recommend that you eat here.

This restaurant has always been clean every time I've been there. Employees seem friendly and helpful but not bothersome. The parking issues the adequate although it is congested at times. The location is moderately convenient as it's only about 3 to 4 minutes off US 24. The food is adequate in my opinion, although there are a lot of local people who rave about it. I suppose that is a matter of taste. They do chicken very well. Their bakery types of desserts are also pretty good. The rest of the food is sort of what you expect from a buffet restaurant.

Fabulous buffet. Best chicken I ever ate! Catfish good also. Vegetables seasoned just right. Mashed potatoes & gravy tasted fresh made, not from a box or can. Large variety of delicious desserts. I'm told they have chicken on the buffet every day but with a different meat dish daily. Staff is friendly, efficient and they move quickly in serving customers and keeping the buffet freshly filled. I definitely plan to go back.

Loved it! Some of the best friend chicken I have eaten out, and the strawberry cake....get out a here! The salad bar is head lettuce, so that's a bummer. Anyway, if you like down home cooking I would suggest this place. The buffet is a reasonable price and includes a drink.

1st time eating there today! I am a home care nurse-caregiver...had a client whom used to eat there a lot! He wanted to come back but isn't able to drive anymore...I drove him for lunch today (45mins)(he calls it catfish Friday). I found a great parking up front and every one was very kind to his needs! Place was very friendly, down home, wonderful food, priced right and good service! Worth the drive for sure! Was busy but we had a nice couple lead us to there table that they were leaving. All walks of life. and folks were so kind. Thanks...I will be back with my family very soon.

Excellent salad bar in addition to the buffet, which is better than grandma's home cookin'!! Tender, crispy fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans that taste home canned, and always a couple of other entrees that melt in your mouth.

Today was the first time that I had eaten there. I will be back. The food was flavorful, (lunch buffet) the staff was busy, but prompt and friendly. The parking lot was full of cars, but was easy to find a place to set. If in a hurry, I was in, ate, and could have been out in less than 30 minutes.

Friendly staff, fast service, good food from buffet or menu. Love the catfish on Friday, the chopped steak on the menu and the rhubarb cobbler. Soft serve ice cream machine to top a variety of cobblers or cakes. Many tables and area for seating. Unlimited drinks. Chicken always available on buffet. Closed on Monday's and generally the week of 4th of July.

Satisfactory quality food. The staff needs to be friendly to all types of people whether they are people of color. The people incharge were i believe discriminating as i can see they were greeting every white family coming for lunch time. It is sad to see when restaurants treat their customers awfully. While eating at Don's i feel the tension as people looking at us with awful faces, coming in the front of the line, and steping on your way without saying sorry. I wont rate food at all because they need to improve their service first by 10 folds.
