We dont live in the area, but have been here twice while traveling. The first time was decent, so we gave it another try during our last road trip. Second time was ok. Staff was very nice but service was slow. I also thought it was strange that my cold lettuce salad came on my very hot plate with the rest of my food. I had a choice of ranch or balsamic dressing. I chose balsamic, which was just balsamic vinegar, not an actual dressing. This place was not bad. Others in my group had good food. Just a little strange to me. And I did not like their salsa, it was too chunky and just tasted like tomato.

We had a wonderful lunch. The guacamole was outstanding. My build your own fiagtia is something everyone should try. The pitcher of Margaritas was some of the best I've had. Great service. We'll be back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Springfield. The iced tea is served in a tall glass (made of glass even!) with lots of ice and is perfect every single time. The food is delicious and tastes fresh. It's a festive atmosphere from the colorful decor to the lively music to the friendly servers. Highly recommend Casa Real for a satisfying lunch or dinner with family & friends.

As a person that doesn't drink soda this is a must to have. Also asking if I want lemon with it would be great as I dont want it and say dont bring it and I get one anyways.

Beautiful decor. You can tell they invested in the decor. The guacamole was delicious. Food was okay. Expect to wait a while between appetizer and your meal. We waited about 30-45 min for our meal. Our waitress stated the kitchen was busy, when there was maybe 5 other tables in the whole restaurant. I'd hate to see the wait when it is really busy. Staff was very attentive, despite the wait.

I’m not normally one to review a place unless it makes a big impact on my views of the establishment, from first looks this place has nice atmosphere and food- but if you order anything to go expect to be treated like a second class citizen. This restaurant should not be allowed to partner with Uber Eats. Customer service is very important part of running a successful place and this manager has none. First of all had to wait 40 mins for an Uber Eats order and left my customer waiting for over an hour (while witnessing another customer have a long wait time and told their food was not ready either) and then was told they gave me the wrong order and lied to by the manager to cover up their mistake. The wait staff seemed friendly but this restaurant has got to get it together when it comes to take out orders because they are paying customers as well. One can understand restaurants are busy but treat your paying customers with dignity and respect and serve them in a timely manner.

More interesting to look at the outside of the building than the boring menu. Service was solid, no complaints there. The food was boring and lacking flavor. I know tacos aren't necessarily the most exciting food, but tacos should at least be texturally interesting. My tacos were like little soggy pockets of sadness.

Absolutely the worst meal I've had at a restaurant. It took 30 minutes to get our salad and nachos. The salad was not remotely what was advertised and extremely overpriced...shredded iceberg lettuce, 3 small chunks of avocado, canned corn--not roasted. It was the size of a small side salad. The dressing was spoiled guacamole...brown, extremely thick, rancid taste. Nachos literally looked as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an entire day. There were only 12 chips on the plate. There was no bacon, and only 2 chunks of chicken on the nachos... again not what was advertised. And the final point...we saw a cockroach crawling down the wall as we waited. We've had bad experiences at this restaurant when they first opened but wanted to give it another chance. We will never return. The only reason we gave it one star was because we couldn't figure out how to post this with no star.

The experience started off bad, but improved as the meal went on. To start, we looked over the extensive menu, then saw a tent on the table about this special meal that included dessert. We all settled on that, then when we ordered, the waitress said it was only available Sunday through Thurs. What?!? Yes, in tiny print it stated that. IMO, it shouldn't be on the table if it''s not available. Not only is it false advertising, but it wasted our time. So then waitress is standing there waiting... I finally said, we're going to need more time to decide then. Then at that time, she tells us the grande burrito was on special. Oh, good to know. SMH. The Sangria Margharita was not good at all, but the Lime one was pretty good. All of the food was very good and came out pretty quickly (as Mexican food normally does). It was favorful and there was plenty of it. We took half home and got dessert to share. The funny thing.... We would have spent more money had they just allowed us to get the combo meal special on a Saturday night, because even with dessert, we spent less and the experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

22 bucks one person one meal. Used to be reasonable. One soda one meal one side of guacamole. Side 5 Oz guacamole is 5 bucks. Won't be eating there for a while.

Normally we have great service, but this visit not so much. We didn't receive our table side guacamole that we requested. Also we had no idea who was our actual server. They all seemed to be more worried about the game that was on tv than taking care of their guests.

Food was just okay. Everyone was brought their food (table of 6) except my boyfriend who they obviously forgot about. Everyone was done eating before he got his food. Had to physically flag down the waiter when we needed something. Waited a long time for everything. The food wasn't good enough to make up for the terrible service. Wont be returning

My hubby and I had a late lunch here over the weekend. We shared the steak fajitas....absolutely outstanding! We also had the guacamole that is prepared and served right at your tableside!! It doesn't get any fresher than that! Service was great...as a matter of fact, my husband left his phone on the table and didn't realize it until we got home much later. We called and the manager had kept it for him until we could pick it up. Very trustworthy! Great place!!

The food is good, don't get me wrong. However, it's a bit pricey and you shouldn't expect fast service unless the place is slow during your visit. And never order from here using Uber Eats. They'll tell you for an hour and a half that they're making your order, then cancel 5 minutes after they close without so much as calling you to tell you that they can't fulfill the order.

My husband and I have eaten here several times now. All with good service and great food. I highly recommend the fajitas. You can add in a variety of vegetables for no additional charge, which is rare to get at other restaurants. The portions were generous and we left very full and satisfied.

I love this place, all the fajitas ate fantastic from the veggie fajitas all the way to the fajitas for two. My personal favorite is the Chicken Chipotle burrito. Also the lunch menu is very yummy and affordable with many options.

It was my sister's birthday. All our did was fantastic, the build-your-own guac cart is always worth coming for in of itself, and the service overall was just on point. Everyone was very professional, and it's just all around a great business. Before we packed up to go, a bunch of employees sung her a very enthusiastic happy birthday song, and gave her a dessert with "happy birthday" written on the plate with strawberry syrup. Awesome night overall.

LOVE Casa Real! The food is always delicious even when we stopped in at 10pm! Also their bar always has events to make your experience a great one. Last night was Karaoke night with lasers and a DJ. Everyone had a great time! Definitely worth the stop!

Not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating... My experience was fine. I hit the after lunch crowd so it was a bit slow/quiet. They lay on the Spanish motif here with music included, which is fine... It's what one would expect nowadays. The service was fine. I had a waiter straight out of Nigeria, so it took some effort with the accent at times, but whatever, he did great. The food was delicious. Their complimentary chips were solid, not too thin. They had a guy make fresh Guacamole right by my table and I also had their version of surf and turf in their "Mar y Tierra". This tummy walked away quite happy. Would recommend.

This place was a huge disappointment. First time here...brought friends for their anniversary and they couldn't stomach the food. The salsa was disgusting. The chips were stale/overcooked. The "steak" on my plate had to of been purchased from Wal-Mart...I will never visit this place again. This place needs to learn what Mexican food is. A complete waste of $70!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't expect actual red sauce when ordering.. you actually get tasteless tomato paste out of a can. And you pay 7 dollars for mac n cheese for kids but its straight out of a box and only get maybe 2 strawberries and the place smells like stagnant water and bathrooms smell like sewer

We love Mexican food and have eaten at a lot of restaurants. This one is the best by far, and only one I felt the need to review. Shrimp tacos, wow! Really good fish taco, but the cheesey rice and chicken....best seasoning ever! May have had to wait a bit on the food, but it was well worth the wait. Don't leave without trying the flan.

Was very excited about coming because the atmosphere was great the Furnishings were excellent but there was only two or three people at a time when it should have been very busy the high prices didn't help my attitude either because they wanted 10 $12 for the smallest item so it's nothing like you think it should be they just use tortillas vegetables a little neat no big deal

I am a little puzzled by the negative reviews. Our waitress was great. Prices are fine. I got the Monday night $9.99 fajita. Two of us ate off of it and we still took food home. Granted we overdosed on chips and salsa. Their salsa is great, big chunks of fresh tomato and onion. Waitress said it is mad in-house daily. I haven't had anything that I was unhappy with. My new Mexican restaurant after Xocimilco changed hands. Never had a bad experience at Casa Real.

We had an excellent dinner. There was a slight wait, but we were able to wait in the bar. Staff were nice and attentive. The fajitas were delicious and the chicken burrito looked good too. Price was a bit more than I expected, but the portion size was decent and the food was good. We'll be back.

Terrible service and below average food. I ordered by phone for carryout. The lady told me my food would be ready to go in 10-15 minutes. But I waited an hour for my order. The only apologies came from the hostess. She was very friendly and apologetic, which is the only reason there is even one star on my review. We finally got our food and noticed that the two cheese dip and chips and had ordered were missing. The hostess handled that, the manager never came to apologize or anything. Then when I got the food home we were missing an order of beans and rice and one of the tacos were made incorrectly. We won't be returning to Casa Real again.
