So...if well lit, white walls and shiny new is your thing, don't go here. However if you like a cozy, interesting interior with fabulous food - go now. The menu has a varied selection of all the usual New Orleans faves and some unexpected twists. My only regrets were limited stomach space and 1 day in town. I did manage to sample my daughter's selection too. If I pass within 50 to 100 miles from this restaurant, I will detour!

Jeff Eastvold

We loved everything about this place. Service was absolutely outstanding. The staff was very nice right from the get go and it set the tone for the whole meal. 100% happy and taste great place. Go there and smile!

Zachary Johnson

The best meal of my life I cant even lie. The alligator sausage and shrimp cheesecake was insanely good, and I will literally crave the crawfish enchiladas for the rest of my life. Easy five stars. Good service and vibe as well

Steve Johnson

Really good Cajun food with interesting alcohol stylings. Very popular place, so come during no. Peak hours to avoid the wait. But definitely worth a wait.

yeny flores

Great, fun, and funky place with excellent live music and attentive service. Their Louisiana-esque restaurant is fun, with a varied menu, bound to have something for every one. I had the alligator tacos which were great save the fact they were served in flour tortillas instead of corn, but delicious nonetheless and a good introduction for. Those who'd never had alligator before. Overall a fun place, lovely service, love music, great atmosphere and wonderful food.

Tim White

Food was great! Was nice to eat some place that used so many flavors in their food.

Paranormal Society

This place is amazing. The service here is stellar. The food was delicious and we had a very good time here. We will be back. The best STL has to offer here for sure!

Delta Fajardo

Phenomenal! It was busy, but the hour wait was WORTH IT!!!! Everything tasted great. We ordered the oyster medley, char oysters, crab dip, crawfish...even the grilled cheese sandwich was great! We also had the bread pudding, and loved that, too. I recommend go in a group and everyone order something different and share. Best decision we made!!! Price was typically for the kind of food we had. They do not split checks, so either decide to pay for yourself even if you share, or do one check and everyone else just pays you. Now, I know the outside looks sketchy, BUT it adds to the authenticity! I took pictures of the menu and entry area, but they have lots of dining seating inside as well as outside seating.

Walking distance from the baseball stadium. It's a cool dive bar but I would not want to walk to it at night. Indoor and outdoor seating, my husband and I sat at the bar. Affordable drinks, local beers and the bartender was very friendly. Gave us the history of the bar which was cool to hear. The baked oysters are good but very rich.

Kaolin Hubbard

Great place! Just happened upon it and it was wonderful! Can't wait to go back!

Edward Little

This is another great place just south of the Busch stadium to go before or after the game. Don't let the decor fool you the food is excellent. Always good music and a good vibe.

Kelley Clites

Great food, fun place! Laid back and fun vibe. You can grab a meal or have a whole night of food, drinks, dancing, and music.

robin Bentler

Love this restaurant! Our favorite place to enjoy Shrimp and Grits! Totally amazing!

Dax Kastrin

Great local spot. Highly recommend the combo plate.

Wade Schaefer

Cajun cuisine meets dive bar just the way you would expect to see when traveling through New Orleans. This is a delicious all around great place to eat for the whole family or for guys, ladies night! The offer a good selection of beer from all over and a full bar with their own twist on popular cocktails. A must try!

Virginia Roudabush

Great New Orleans style food and drink with the perfect amount of heat!

Thane Bloodstone

Great atmosphere and great people not to mention the amazing food.

Pepper Ann

Lovely presentation, I’m from K.C and wanted a nice seafood place to eat. They had everything I wanted at a nice price. It didnt come out super hot like other places. The food did come out pretty luke cool which was still fine but, would be five stars if it came out with heat to it. Other than that it was a nice place to eat!

Call me Caitlyn

The grilled oysters are so good. The staff is friendly. The establishment looks great. Nice feel to it. I don’t care how much it costs, I’ll never let go.

Todd Wallis

Jamie and Tommy are 2 of StL's best bartenders and this place is a can't miss if your downtown.

Mee

Food is great, hostess is friendly, but the bartender is not. I was at the bar trying to order a drink while waiting for my food and he never acknowledged me. The dude never said hi, nor made eye contact to signal he’ll be right there to take my order. This was the most uncomfortable experience I ever had and I didn’t feel welcome at all. I would rate “0 stars” if the review was based solely on the bartender...

Scott Wingfield

The atmosphere of this restaurant was hip, modern. The bar itself was stunning. Very nice place to take your parents or to take your partner out to dinner. The food here was amazing.

Brian Meyers

Broadway Oyster Bar may not only be the best place in St Louis to get Cajun Louisiana style food but was probably the best Cajun Louisiana style food I had even compared to New Orleans. I could eat hear every day. It's a must visit if your in St Louis !!!! And if you live here it's the perfect place to entertain friends and family that come to visit. The food can not be beaten!!!! And the service is even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thaiane C.

Everything we've tried here was delicious! Very good service, too. Gentle staff.

Johanna Diener

Love this place! Once a year we are in St Louis for a work convention and I always make it a point to stop of Broadway Oyster Bar. Great atmosphere. If you can catch it on a game night with live music - it is basically heaven. Food is delicious! You will not be disappointed!

Loveis Agiven

This place is outstanding!! Owner, John, was extremely accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, which includes indoor seating in a large restaurant setting, or outdoor seating, either under a canopy or in a gated area, or on the sidewalk it front, was fun, lively, and very artistic! Ask about the history- it's pretty interesting. "Lindsay" was a very sweet employee who was welcoming and very willing to engage in our interest of the place and its history. She took me on a mini tour. We were 5 cyclists who arrived just prior to a serious storm outbreak, and owner John had even offered a solution to protect our equipment. There is also a stage for entertainment, and there are bars both indoors and outdoors. Everything about this place made us feel like we'd visit when we're passing through again someday.

Kim Oneal

This is a cool hangout with good food and drinks. The atmosphere is chill and the staff is friendly. Try their Tequila wings

Rebecca Bowling

We went here the while vacationing in St. Louis and it was amazing. The food was great, voodoo tacos were on point. We also got the whiskey bread pudding, so great. The live music was awesome too. I recommend this place to anyone traveling to st. Louis.

Ebony Rhodes

I have ate here many times over the last few years. Portions are great size and drinks are ice cold. The food is most as good as the eclectic environment. Staff is always friendly and outgoing. Late nights are always a great time with live music. Highly recommend this place. If you have to wait for a table, it is so worth it! Drinks and food was great! Fun place, good prices, excellent staff! Use the preferred seating it saves lots of time!!

Greg Gunn

Great little dive with fresh oysters and great music. Has a more divey side (original) and a newer more traditional restaurant space to the left.

Rebecca Markley

I'm from Florida and take for granted the many opportunities for fresh seafood available to us. So, needless to say, I've been disappointed with all venues in St. Louis not only for quality of food, but poor service as well. That is until I discovered Broadway Oyster Bar. The vibe was awesome! Food (fried oysters and pasta w/lobster and wild mushrooms) was phenomenal. The entertainment at 9pm was rockin it with the blues. Casey provided excellent service and Jennifer tweaked the night with her thoughtfulness. Thanks BOB! I may be back tomorrow night.

jcsh13

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in St. Louis. Tried the Lobster Po’boy, loved the spice on the sauce. Now, there are no words to describe the bread pudding. It is the best I’ve ever had. The only thing I regret is not coming to this establishment before during my 4 years in St. Louis. Totally recommend it to friends and tourists!!

Denise Irvin

My first time there but not my last. I had the lobster bisque, salad and oysters. Divine!

Carrie Smith

A must go when in St Louis! Amazing food, a little pricey, but quality. Crawfish Mac n Cheese was awesome! Neat atmosphere. Family friendly when we went for late lunch.

Joseph Antrobus

The restaurant has a very Cajun feel and the meals compliment that. I've had the shrimp and grits as well as the Po' boy sandwich. They were both cooked to perfection and had their own unique spice to it, without being overwhelmingly spicy. I'd recommend going during a performance to really soak in the atmosphere.

Matt Clarke

Amazing seafood spot! Really friendly service. Great New Orleans / Louisiana vibe in downtown St.Louis. We tried many different items on the menu and it was all delicious. The craw fish and alligator bites were unreal.

Rene Serna

Staff was friendly and informed. Food was excellent. Very much recommend blackened ahi tuna fajitas. Delicious!

Richard Warren

My God this place was great! We sat at the bar and had a conversation with the staff that was just like talking to a friend. Put a $2 bill on the wall. The wing's sauce was very good; not too sweet with some kick. We had the jambalaya which was good (served with rice). Ask for the hot sauce that's not on the table. Even the bathroom (pictures shown) make it a very unique place to visit. You will not be disappointed if you truly like a bar feel but want better than bar food. We went around 7 without a ball game going on so it wasn't overly crowded, however I could see this place hopping on game day. If you haven't been here and you live in St. Louis, you have to ask yourself why not?

Ms jeff

This place is located in downtown Saint Louis. The scenery gives a feel of New Orleans with heavy urban presence. There are a lot of middle-class professionals that eat there. I had the Big Easy Blast for a cocktail. It was awesome!. I also had the Mahi Mahi lobster and crab stuffed Swordfish. The Swordfish was dry and did not have enough seasoning to bring out the flavor. The crab and lobster stuffing I could barely taste. The broccoli was good. The rice that the Swordfish was served over was dry and tasted old as if it was refrigerated for some days . The fried oysters were not worth the money- 12.99 for 6 . They they were small and undercooked!! Overall I think this is a place to get a quick drink during lunch. It's not an authentic cajun restaurant.

Kristi Lewis

The chargrilled oysters are phenomenal!! The server was friendly and helpful, and our food came quickly. I highly recommend this place!

Vernon Platero

Great place to grab a bite before a game. They also have drawings for the next home game. Awsome

Meg Carosello

Broadway Oyster bar has become our go to place for date night. Whether celebrating a big event, or just dropping in before a game, this place has the best food, amazing drinks, a killer atmosphere and you can come as you are and fit in no matter what. Keep killing it Broadway Oyster Bar!

Jim Crawford

Good food...good beer. Definitely a spot to check out.

Milton Moore

This is a true gem for the city! Good food, good drinks and live music! Will definitely be back next trip.

James McMinn JR

This is a great place to eat! It's always really busy, which to me is a good thing, because it let's me know the food is good. Great atmosphere, good food and an all around good time. Be prepared to wait, at least on weekend nights. But, that just comes with Good places like this!

Keith Collins

Visint from New York. This place was awesome. Great atmosphere, great drinks , and awesome food. Got the Oysters which were awesome, a PO Boy which was great, and snow crab legs. Needless to say if I lived here id go often. Live music onna Sunday night. Cant beat it!

Misty McCracken

Nothing short of AWESOME, drinks and food alike. They do charge you for every little thing, $0.50 here and $1 there, but certainly not a reason to pass on this place. The food and atmosphere are worth coming back for time and time again.

Aaron Dias

One of the coolest places I've visited. We are visiting from Toronto and I had a friend who recommend this place. The food was so delicious and the drinks were actually really reasonable. The customer service was amazing. They really helped us out with picking us some great food.

Rando Keo

Amazing! The restaurant has so much character and great food! The food definitely very authentic, the staff is very accommodating. Definitely the place to go to for real deal Cajun eats!

Jess Beuhler

Good atmosphere and good service. We had oysters of all kinds that were good and the etouffe which was alright. The vegetables could have been cut smaller to blend better with the overall meal. The biggest issue I had was having to split the check between myself and the others with me. It's not something that I think I should have to do when the restaurant has the POS to easily split the check. Like this is 2019 and the technology exist to make the dining experience for the customer as best as possible without having to split the check out selves and determine what each person owes.

Landon Dave

Atmosphere was personal and fun. Music was Awesome! Happy we stumbled upon this hidden gem. It was like having a party in your living room.

Chris Wallace

Chargrilled oysters, peel & eat shrimp, lobster poboy, snow crab. Should have gotten more oysters but not because anything else was bad, it's because they were so good. Service was amazing. Everything was seasoned well.

Steve Cooke

Was in the downtown area for the 4th of July and visited the Broadway Oyster Bar for lunch. Absolutely fantastic experience. Great service, food, and atmosphere. In fact we enjoyed it so much that when it was time to grab something for dinner we decided there was plenty of menu items we really wanted to return and sample. This is where things started to go uncomfortably wrong. We decided to sit in the patio area and enjoy a few drinks while we were making our final decisions. After a drink or two we were approached by an employee with customers in tow telling us we needed to give up the table we were sitting at so she could seat this couple for dinner. I am not sure how she decided who she was going to be asked to give up their table since there were dozens of other customers in a very similar situation, as in, just sitting enjoying a few drinks. As frustrated as we were by this request, the couple she was seating seemed equally puzzled as to how this could possibly be happening. I also reached out to this establishment via email asking how to get a hold of either a manager or owner so I could discuss this with them outside of social media and that request received no response. Unfortunate how this place went from hero to zero within hours.

Delmor Donald

I must say we were a bit taken aback by the "ambiance" when we first walked in. It pretty much screams "dive". But then, we got the food.We started with the crab cake appetizer served on top of fried green tomatoes. I personally don't like crab, but my friend loves it and it was her big day, so I let her choose whatever she wanted. I thought these were delicious and my friend thought they were the best she had ever had

Tonya Brust

We went on the busiest day ever (parade day for St Louis Blues winning the Stanley Cup), expecting to wait at least two hours. To our surprise, we only had to wait 45, our waitress was perfect, the food was fabulous and as always the atmosphere was perfect. If you're looking for great food, drinks and an awesome wait staff, look no further!!!

Sanna Traw

Food and atmosphere was on point. Highly recommend the Voodoo Shrimp appetizer. Husband had the crab legs, he's still talking about them. Service was slow. Waited a good while for anyone to acknowledge us to begin with. Food came promptly but not by our server and we didn't see her again for awhile still. It was our first trip there and we will be back. Food was far to good.

Alex Howe

Went our first night in town on a recommendation from my brother who travels extensively. Requested seating outside and the atmosphere felt like a beach town. Had gator bites, fish tacos, Nola shrimp and bread pudding. My fish tacos came with red beans and rice that were delicious. Bread pudding is the best I’ve ever had. My wife and I returned our second night in town because it impressed us so much. We had Tony as a server and he was awesome. I got just a plate of red beans and rice this time because they were so good. My wife and I each got our own bread pudding because it was so good.

Michael Becker

Great Atmosphere and stiff drinks! It can be crazy crowded at times but the live shows outside are so much fun!! I actually haven't eaten here in a long time but last time I did it was Great!

Allison Ferguson

Good food! Fun atmosphere. I live downtown and this is one of my favorite spots. I work in the restaurant industry as well and I am impressed by the service.

Tyla Whitlock

If you are looking for delicious seafood and want to feel like you are in a Florida happening spot, come here! Loved it!!

Christopher Donahue

Broadway oyster bar in St. Louis rocks out with food and music. Definitely a great late night hot spot.

Glenn Schlottman

Great find! I found this place on a suggestion from a friend and it delivered. The Creole food is so good. I had the shrimp and grits - so delicious! And they have an outstanding local beer selection. It is steps from Busch Stadium and a most stop on any visit to St. Louis.

Ember McCall

Music. Delightful food. This was awesome. I had oysters and cream dip while my friend had a fried chicken sandwich. Both were fabulous. Would absolutely go again. Nice easy walk from baseball stadium or the Hilton. Expect a wait, so call ahead on busy nights.

Madeleine LeMieux

Oysters were pretty good. Everything else was mediocre and pricey. The restaurant/bar itself was pretty dirty. Staff was friendly but didn't take menus or clear plates... If all you want is a dive bar+oysters it does the trick. We had hoped for an amazing dinner based on the other reviews...

Amy Pokorney

This oyster bar has great food and fast service,it also has live music most days! Love this place!

David Wilson

Place is awesome. You must go there if you are from out of town. Staff is great and very helpful, Jesse, used his Uber to get me to my hotel. The crowd was from all over the world(Australia, England, Finland, etc) and everyone had a blast. Kim Massie was terrific. As you can see I had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this place.

Tristan A. D.

This was my first time in St. Louis and I had no idea where to go so me and a business associate found this spot on google and i have to say we were impressed. The oysters were some of the best I've had, and I live on the east coast so that's saying something. The alligator was terrific and the wings with the tequila hot sauce were perfect, not breaded just crispy fried skin and succulent meat. Everything about this joint, from the decor and service to the live music and outdoor seating was a superb.

Jeromy Kay

I've lived in St. Louis for years and finally got around to trying BOB - I'm sad I waited so long! My friend and I dined there during their recent crab festival, I made a call-ahead reservation which was smart because the place is packed. We were seating in reasonable time on their patio. The entire place has a great atmosphere.I ordered the pound and a half of snow crab which came with Cajun green beans and a baked potato. The crab was excellent - it was so fresh and the Cajun flavor that permeated through the shell into the meat was fantastic.

kiante johnson

The wait during a game is pretty long but WELL worth it. One of the best seafood meals I've ever had and not nearly as expensive. Be aware that the kitchen closing is affected by how busy they are. If you wait 45 minutes to be seated before closing have your order ready. I honestly would love to go again during this trip ☺

Janel Lieselotte

One of the best venues I've ever been to. The room was great, and the staff really made us feel like a part of the family!

Beatle Smith

After a few hard days and having to lose a special 15 year old lab, this was a great experience, Great atmosphere love the shrimp tacos and the shrimp and grits. The staff was wonderful by allowing us to bring in our rescue puppy and even giving him water on such a hot day. The patio was at a wonderful temperature and the desert was yummy. I would highly recommend this place to relax and enjoy life. Thank you so much for being so great we'll be back

Megan Crone

Simply amazing. Extremely fun atmosphere as well as family friendly. HIGHLY recommend getting the crab dip, you won't regret it! We're from Kansas City and stopped for some food on our way home and we've decided we will definitely be returning next time we come to St. Louis!

Leo Dan

Food was good. Music was terrible. Play some Type o negative once in a century. This blues stuff is lame.

Jessica Gates

We took out daughter here for her 21st birthday dinner and the food was great! Our server did great too. We were just a smidge obnoxious (but not offensively) because, it was her 21st birthday and we were having fun.

Hannah Cavanagh

Great hoping place live music great atmosphere and always crowded but that just means it's great long as you like seafood, they do make grilled cheese though so that's a plus.

Angus Crome

Food is good, moderately priced and plentiful. Seating area could be bigger, but generally don't have to wait. There is also limited outdoor seating.

Ru Z

Homey. Relaxed. Down home cooking. DELICIOUS PO' BOYS AND GUMBO!! Next time we'll stay long enough to enjoy the live entertainment. Had such a great time!

Ka Parquer

The food is just so good. Voodoo shrimp and red beans n’ rice. I’ve never even had anything else from the menu because it’s just soooo good. I heart you BOB.

Patsy bentler

Quint downdown bar and restaurant, I love oysters, could eat my weight in them LOL, great service, great entertainment in the evening. Every one has a great time there

Tasha M

Mike B was our server and he was OUTSTANDING! He introduced me to my new favorite drink and introduced us to 2 AMAZING pastas! Do yourself a favor and try the fried oysters too but order extra dipping sauce.

Tina Brown

We were visiting the St Louis area to visit family but used the first day to have a little alone time with the wife. Found this place through yelp. It was a neat outdoor patio that had a little vibe of the bayou. We ordered the blue crab cakes, the Louisiana fried alligator, and the oysters cardinale. All of which were incredible. We wanted to keep trying the food but were full.

jason price

Was my first experience with oysters. They're awesome! Very fun place too!

Karissa May

I got the crawfish Mac n cheese and it was DELICIOUS. A real New Orleans style feel- both with the food and the restaurant itself.

Vicky Treffert

I absolutely love this place! If the atmosphere doesn't give your heart strings a tug, the food & music will. I highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner, date, group night, etc. Absolutely amazing!

Charles Kelly

My first time there. Great outdoor patio, great food and service. Our waitress Bailey was very nice and attentive. Very nice presentation with the food. I'll definitely be back

Anthony Harris

The food was really good. The only thing I didn't like was that we sat outside and it was flies everywhere. Other than that everything was awesome. I will go back, but this time I will elect to sit inside.

Skyler Stanaland

The of the best Cajun restaurant in Saint Louis, and one of the best in the Midwest. What is not to like here. Perfect meal- Cajun Cheesecake, charred oysters, and half muffaletta. Your Welcome

Kevin Akenhead

They have amazing food here and they almost always have live entertainment. best of all it's not overly priced like you'll find at other places in downtown St Louis.

Skrim

If you haven't been, GO NOW! This is by far our favorite restaurant in town. We come for most birthdays etc and always start with our favorite, a huge serving of mussels. Literally EVERYTHING on the menu is excellent so if you try something new it's always a good choice, but the award winning Sampler Platter is a must. We just went last night for their Po' Boy & Taco festival. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is so eclectic and relaxed, the music is groovy, and everybody you talk to is having a good time. I'll be back as soon as I can.

Shana Garrett

We ordered oysters every way (a platter of each), and boiled crawfish. All the oysters were FIRE! So delicious. The crawfish were very well seasoned (but they were frozen, hey geography what are ya gonna do). I’m from New Orleans and I live in Mid Missouri now, this was as close to the feel, sound, smell, and taste of home as I have found in the Midwest.

Arrianna Goff

great quality, great method of preparation, gator on the tacos were extremely salty, that was a distraction.

Shannon T

I have been coming to Broadway Oyster Bar since I moved back home to St. Louis 21 years ago, at least once per month. I never spend less than $40 when i visit. Today was the first time that service was less than exceptional. I ordered an amaretto sour and it tasted flat if that is a thing. I took two sips out of it and requested a Sprite in its place. I was told by the manager, Stefan, that I would still have to pay for a drink that did not taste right. I am not a bartender so if a customer says it doesn't taste right, then replace it or fix it. Neither of those things took place. I will never buy another alcoholic beverage from there. Not to mention, the bartender that took my order never stopped walking as I placed my order, thus I did not order the entire meal I anticipated eating today. I will never eat there again when Sherry is working, which I hear is on Monday's.

shontay martin

Really good food, great atmosphere. I had the gator bites and a platter of like 4 different foods and it was all delicious. Definitely recommend to everyone

Mary Watkins

The best shrimp and grits EVER. Decent prices for quality eats and great portions. #stlmade

Ryan Smith

Eclectic decor, fantastic food, great beer selection, and live music! Great patio as well. Gotta go here!

Firstname Lastname

Sorry to know your not a fan. Not a fan of superb customer service in acknowledgement on a complaint and taking ownership to making everyone feel welcome Instead based off comments to anything that isn't a review with a complete positive …

Heather

I’m from the south and this place is as close as you can get to Cajun/southern style cooking without being down south! I was in town and decided to give this place a try and it did not disappoint! Right when I walked up I was all smiles, the decor keeps your eyes wandering and a conversation flowing. The menu has many options to please everyone! We ordered the fried alligator, crawfish Mac and cheese, and a bucket of crawfish. (Can’t forget a specialty cocktail which was great!) Also, the server was amazing and very friendly! I wish I could remember her name. If I come back to this area I would definitely come here again!!

tina bonds

Best food I have had in months and our waitress was so nice. We loved this place!

The One

The new owner is the best!! He is genuinely a nice person who cares about his customers. The food is the best in town!!

Theresa Schall

Great food(deliciously spicy), attentive service and live music. Sit outside if you can and enjoy the laid back atmosphere, funky decor and beautiful seashell/tile mosaic crawling up the outside of the building.

Eric Helgeson

Food and service was amazing. They also have an excellent selection of beers too. Daily specials throw you off from the regular menu because they all sound so good. Went there twice and enjoyed everything. Will definitely keep returning...

Kenny Kim

Very nice and great service. Employees were friendly and we felt comfortable. Food was excellent. I recommend lobster banh mi and alligator and shrimp cheesecake. When some problems arose with parking (the neighboring restaurant charged us even though we parked at this restaurant's lot), they helped us out. Would go there again (next time without car since parking in downtown is a nightmare)

James Sindler

Fantastic food and even better atmosphere. We had Drinks, Oysters and Shrimp Cocktail. All were amazing and flavorful. Live Blues started up half way through our meal and was perfect entertainment for hanging out.

Becky Bogacz

If I could give Oyster Bar a 100 star rating I would! This is hands down, my favorite establishment in St. Louis. Want great food? Come to BOB. Want great drinks and great beer? Come to BOB. Want to see awesome live music? Come to BOB. I seriously don't even understand how anyone can give BOB under 4 stars! I have had the best customer service and food in my life. And the fact there is Abita Purple Haze on tap makes my day! I will always come to BOB for great food and a great atmosphere. Today is my birthday and I'm celebrating the best way I know how this evening...heading out to BOB!

Jason Mooneyham

First time. This place was unbelievably good. Definitely reccomend to anyone. No separate checks though....

Michael Beebe

I’ve eaten here before and loved the place so I had to come back. I’m not in New Orleans, but this is about the best I’ve had outside of it and even better than a few places on Bourbon. No wonder this is a top rated restaurant in St. Louis.

DaddyBug

Stopped for quick bite after ball game & told kitchen closes in 40 min. Ordered & told "they were out" 20 min left we ordered gumbo & with 5 min left told they were out. Never saw waiter again. Asked for drink check & cover charge back & manager lost temper. I tipped the band $20 & mgr gave me my $10 cover. Unprofessional excuse for Blues Bar. Memphis, Mobile, or the radio will be my homes for Blues venues in the future.

MyMiracoil

Great little bar, sat at outside mostly covered patio listening to a live band. Was about 55 degrees but still very pleasant. The band was awesome, entertained me all night! Good food, and well made cocktails.

Stephanie Rish

Fun, seafood place with Creole inspired fair. Great oysters on the half, creative appitizers, food is killer overall. You wouldn't expect this in a city area, especially so far from any ocean, but the seafood is fresh and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Gretchen S.

Enjoyed my first time there. The music sounded great. I only had the Calamari appetizer but it was delicious. I don't drink alcohol but their drink menu looked like it had some nice offerings, especially their craft beers. I like the ambience. I know it's not possible..... only wish the place outside were bigger! Lol. I wouldn't ever try going there when Cardinals games are in town.... I've already been told it's crazy busy (great for them but just not my cup of tea ...I want to know I'll be able to sit down and enjoy the music) But the place is routinely on "must visit" lists so they're doing something right......

Steinberger Clair

Great place for me and reasonably privced food which was freshly made and served well. Serives were fast, efficient and friendly. Very friendly staff and friendly venue!

Don Jones

Maybe I expected too much because of friends and reviews but, the food wasn't that great, it was good and filling. Table was sticky. The help was great, kind and out to please.

Missy McNees

Sooooo good. The BBQ shrimp is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Large portions and tasty cocktails. It's a definite must try place if you like cajun food.

Ben Johnson

Had the sampler nd the NOLA shrimp and it was excellent. Only the sensational food could override the world's rudest barmaid!

Eric Curry

Friendly service, fabulous food and great music!

Jolene Stecken

This place was totally a fun place. The bouncer was so funny. And they have a gender neutral bathroom. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Very busy place on the weekends. There are lots of stuff on the walls and doors to look at if your waiting on food. Service was friendly and the drinks came quickly. We didnt order food but it looked amazing. We will def be back.

Joe Joyner

It was tight in the environment. Service was quick food was great. The rum Runner was excellent. We will return for the additional drink and for more food.

A little annoyed. We made a reservation a week in advance and arrived early only to have the time honored by being seated an hour after our reservation time. Our server was pretty awesome and the food was what you would expect, spicy and pretty good. The rules are annoying but hey they tell you up front so I can respect that. Overall, not bad just not really my cup of tea. Try it out for yourself.

Service is okay since they were busy post baseball game. Food was good. The shooters didnt have a kick or anything of liquor. Very dirty and hard to get our waitresses attention.

Excellent food and service. The alligator cheesecake appetizer is the best! Great fish tacos, shrimp tacos, jambalaya and red beans and rice. Large portions.

Timothy Hutson

Enjoyed a lot. Great food, the best place in town for Cajun style food. They usually have live music so it is often quite loud but they have different areas to sit if you want it a bit quieter.

Rick Clark

Lots of room and great layout. Drinks and food was great.

Awesome laid back atmosphere and extremely good cajun themed food. I loved that there are two patios, one with live music and one quite; something for everyone! I highly recommend B.O.B. for any occasion when you want a great meal, cold drink, lively atmosphere and great live music.

Really awesome bar. Outstanding Oysters, if you're new they can guide you in. If you love Oysters then the menu won't upset. If you don't like oysters they have a delicious menu to order from. I found my new favorite place.

David Cline

Great Cajun food, live music, and fun atmosphere. It was very busy when we were there and the order took almost an hour. Once the food came all was forgiven. Good eats.

OMG, loved this place! First time eating here, had the barbecue style shrimp and it was delicious. The customer service was great. I will be back!

We went for a music event. Good food, beer and service. Fun times!

We came here back in 2003 on my Birthday. It's still a great place for Blues music, food and great beer. Highly recommended.

Mark Audi

One of the more diverse seafood menus in St. Louis. Nice dining rooms and a beer garden with live music. It's a must stop whenever we're in The Lou...

Service was fast and attentive. Limited but decent selection of drafts. Food was good but not spectacular. Nice atmosphere. Billing was a nightmare. We had a small group from the office (5) but was told immediately upon sitting no separate checks. However, server said she could accommodate multiple cards and sort it out (making no sense at all). When the bill came gratuity was added but no tax (???). After some public math we figured out individual charges but when she ran the cards the charges all changed and another gratuity was added on top of the tip--we declined the new charges. We wanted to give a good tip but couldn't because of the confusion. Seafood is hard to find in StL but you can look elsewhere for it.

Always a great time. Food, beverage, people, music... definitely recommend. The fact that the management answered a positive review speaks volumes. Congrats for being a quality establishment- Too bad I updated and it deleted the management response :-/

Absolutely delicious food! Do try the sampler platter. Pretty much everything we ordered was amazing.

Hannah Lightner

I went here with a friend for oysters and a light lunch. I had the seared ahi tuna salad that was amazing! The oysters however weren't that great. They were served and plated well, but didn't taste fresh. There was also VERY loud music playing that seemed out of place for a weekday lunch.

Emily Busch

Definitely the kind of place to visit if you're from out of town. The atmosphere is fun and the food is great. Highly recommend the fried alligator!

Nice staff. Ordered NOLA Oysters. Very close to New Orleans style oysters. Just a bit to much salt in the mix. We live in Louisiana and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our food. Loved the bread pudding!

Wrote a long, effusive review on Trip Advisor. We moved to Central Illinois from New England 4 months ago. This is our 2nd trip to St. Louis, but our first to BOB. It will not be our last! Good, good food. Quick service from both the staff and the kitchen. Great casual atmosphere. The owner is very hands on, checking on everything and everyone. He obviously loves his restaurant and cares about his customers. It shows in the training of the staff. They are professional, attentive and friendly. They handled large groups, families and couples with equal grace and efficiency. Our only regret is that we began our day at 4 in the morning and couldn’t last for the music starting at 10. Next time we’ll take a nap. There will definitely be a next time. One last note: order the bread pudding. Not our thing, but followed the owners advice. Mind. Blown. We’ll be back.

Food was excellent. Most places claim, "spicy" food but what they really have is something toned down for sensitive pallets. That is not the case here. It's not over the top but you will notice it and it will linger a bit after you finish. Oysters were to die for. Best I've had any distance from a coast. Nice, down home quirky ambiance.
