The steak was tender and juicy but had absolutely no flavor. The ribs were ok. My husband's ribs are much better. We wanted to try it out and I wasn't very pleased with the lack of flavors. Hands down Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn are by far the best places for steak! The mixed drinks suck too. The service was good though!

I had this at 4 stars but honestly I'm just done with this restaurant every single time besides the first time I ate here they've messed up in some way even if it was small it's just the fact that it's everytime. I don't recommend this restaurant at all and I hope they don't stay long.

Under impressed! Wait for food was a bit long. I had a burger that was almost cold that came with seven fries. Wife ordered another sandwich with mushrooms that came without the mushrooms. She had a few more fries that were just warm. We waited for quite a while to get condiments for the grandson. We just ate our fries without ketchup. Would have gave one star but grandson's chicken strips were hot and the server was pleasant. It is worth the drive to go to one in Springfield if you have a hankering for Big Whiskeys. The time you spend driving will be made up in faster service anyway.

Normally have no complaints took the wife for anniversary wasn't impressed with the server. Really felt kinda offended when we were asked if we wanted separate checks at the end of our meal. These are the main complaints I have for that night the rest of what I didn't like is stuff that may not have bothered me with out the server issues

Walked in with no wait. Which was a nice change. Staff wanted to seat us at a high top table with kids. No the best choice, asked for booth. That seemed to be an issue, even with many open booths available. When seated at a booth, it was dirty. A clean booth next to it, and still sat us at the dirty one. Wait for a waitress was unreasonable. Overall, staff has no idea what they are doing. Will not be coming back to Republic location.

The food here is just ok. Steak tonight was overcooked to order. Sparkling wine was flat and drab. Waiter asked how was it and I responded it was just ok and he didn't ask any questions. Most times a waiter asks for you to cut into steak when served.

This is THE WORST big whiskeys out of all of them, this place is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. 1st visit- the incompetent bartender with only 4 tables to tend was apparently too much for him. 2nd visit- waitress was beyond rude, only came around for one round of drinks and to take food order, 3rd visit- AGAIN couldn't get waited on for any amount of money, 4th and FINAL visit- my BF Put in a Togo order, when he got there to pick it up they told him it must have gone to the republic ROAD location (trust me I WISH IT WOULD HAVE) so tell me how a PHONE CALL TOGO ORDER TO REPUBLIC was put in wrong, when he showed them he indeed called the REPUBLIC location they had nothing to say... food wasnt ready. This big whiskeys is a JOKE. is this the red headed step child of the big whiskeys because NO location is as HORRIBLE as this place. I wish I didnt live in this town so I didnt have to rely on THIS f&$(#& restaurant. Close this place, it's a disgrace to the big whiskeys name. Or get people competent enough to work.

Got the wrong order twice, wings were dry, wrong sauce. We ate some, waiting for the server to come around. Finally got another server's attention. Our server came back and said he'd have to ask the manager since we ate some.....by then we weren't hungry anymore. A bad experience overall. Too bad because we had out of town guests.

Overcooked my burger after asking for it medium and it came with no onion rings on it like it was supposed to. On the flip side, I didn't complain, but the waitress noticed the burger was wrong and they comped it.

This one was hard to review... They told us a 20 to 30 minute wait, we waited over an hour. The service was slow for the amount of staff. The prices seemed ok until the food arrived, the portions were small for the price. You get more for the same money at Friday,s or Applebee's. The food was really good, or I could say delicious. So was the wait time, slow service, and portion to price ratio worth the deliciousness... Possibly, I might go back.

I was very impressed by the staff the afternoon my family ate here! We requested a table in a back corner, if possible, so I could nurse my son a little more privately and out of the view of anyone. They were beyond accommodating to our request! The back room was not being used, so they sat us back there and kept the doors shut for our privacy. Our waitress was wonderful and gave us our time to order and get the baby settled in so we could eat. Although I am aware that the time we came in, 3:30 or so in the afternoon, was why we were able to have a private area, I still appreciate the staff opening it up for us to be comfortable while I fed my son. The food was fantastic as well and it came very quickly after ordering! We will definitely be returning!

Big Whiskey's is a pretty cool place. Went here for my girlfriends birthday for a late night drink, the bartender was cocky but friendly, kept trying to sell my girlfriend a drink called "The Bill Cosby" which made me uneasy to leave her alone at the bar to go piss. Understandably he was just trying to be cool. The other staff seemed nice. The manager (I think) was super polite and made sure we were all set. Great place for some fun, just don't order the Bill Cosby.

This is good comfort food, it won't blow your mind but it's definitely a step up from Ruby Tuesday's and the like. I had the wings and they were pretty good. They used to offer twice fried wings but I asked about it and the server didn't know what I was talking about. All in all its a nice casual place to grab a bite to eat.

Not bad. The portions seemed in even though. Between my dad and two sons, they all ordered penne dishes but got noticeably different size portions of the pasta. I ordered the chicken ranch sandwich. It came with what seemed like a 2/3 order of fries. The food was very good and the prices reasonable. Our server could have smiled more and the store could be a little warmer. We'll be back.

We ate here on Saturday night after a terrible experience on Friday night at Flat Creek. The appetizer was served quickly, steaks were cooked perfectly, our salads we're fresh, and dessert was wonderful. The best part for us was that our waitress was incredible! We were so excited to get a decent restaurant in Republic. They have a good range of food on their menu. Whether you’re in the mood for a steak, burger, wrap, fish and steak tacos or fish and chips, they have it. I have to say that my favorite thing on the menu is the brownie skillet. Make sure you leave room for this dessert. If you like to watch sports, this is a great place to go too. They have a large bar area as well as a dining area.

It’s great comfort food! If you’re looking for a burger, steak, margarita or tacos they have it all. I like to change it up when I go in and eat sometimes but I usually go with the Boom Boom Shrimp tacos. Those are my absolute favorite and I do recommend it.

The triple dip chips were amazing! however, I was not very impressed with the the burger as it was like a frozen patty so definitely bar food so was a little disappointed (yes I know it is a bar and grill)... Very well could have been me expecting more than I should have after hearing a lot from other people on how good it was.... Nice atmosphere overall though..... Will try again in the future definitely didn't push me away from going back.

Viking burger missing the sauce. Nacho cheese was still in slices? Nachos were either stale or soggy, also ground beef?? Sad. Food was cold. Loaded potatoes? Sad looking. Ordered through doordash so the temp could be either restaurant or delivery, but we live in town the drive there to here is 5min max, but our car is broken or else we would go into the restaurant, but there was no sauce, my burger was dry. Had to dress my own burgers, had to heat up everything and added my own toppings to the potatoes or else I'd choke (hyperbole) the potato itself was actually cooked nicely everything else was just subpar.

Took our waitress (Kasidie) 10 minutes to show up. 3 tables seated after us received their food first. Our waitress checked on us twice in the almost hour we were there. My wife ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich it came as a quesadilla. I ordered onion rings with my burger and received fries. It took almost another 10 minutes to get our check after asking for it.

Had the fried pickles, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the ribeye steak. All 3 were very good but that chicken sandwich was amazing. That zesty hot sauce coated on the chicken is something to dream for. It's also got a good kick to it. It is dressed with some pickles and cheese which compliment the chicken in so many ways. Very impressed overall and I will definitely get the same thing next time I go there. Would recommend it to anyone!!!

My bride and I got there (Republic MO location) about 12 minutes after opening today, 8-18-19. Was greeted by an elderly gentleman and we were promptly seated. Was offered the new "Brunch Menu" and we were informed by our Hostess, Rachel S. this was the first full week into this new "Brunch" service for Big Whiskey's. We looked at menu and decided to go with the lunch selection. I will say, Rachel was gold! She was spot on with her service and very personable and professional. Rachel got our drinks, sweet tea for me, unsweet tea for my wife. We ordered an appetizer, loaded fries, and they were great and hot. My bride ordered Surf and Turf (medium rare) and it was spot on. I ordered the Big Whiskey Burger with fries. It to was delicious and hot. Our meals and appetizer arrived expeditiously. Rachel checked on us regularly and she was also working a table of 6 adults and a couple of small kids. She managed this family with the same expertise as us. About half way into our lunch one of the managers greated us and wanted to make certain our food was to our expectations/liking. It was of course. This was our second trip to Big Whiskey's in Republic MO. The first time was several months after opening. The service was spot on then as well and our family got there during dinner time, about 5-ish. We certainly will be returning when we travel to or through Republic as we shop in Springfield, MO.
