Such an amazing restaurant!! It truly is a hidden gem. Our server, Dustin, was so incredibly helpful and the food was delicious. The tabletop grills are great and makes the dining experience fun and interactive. The staff is so friendly and everything was fantastic. I highly recommend Bawi. An example of the helpfulness of the staff is that after eating here, I realized I had left my retainer in a napkin. I called and they were immediately on it to try and find my retainer in the trash. And, thankfully, a server, Grace, found it. I appreciate them so much and I am confident you will love this restaurant.

I'm being unfair to Bawi. I should give 5 stars, but I'm kind of lazy with my eating. Everything we tried was awesome! All the meats prepared all the ways. I end up cooking a lot which seems fun at first, but eventually I want to just keep eating and not having to cook. Maybe you can order off a menu, I don't know. Still a great place to eat!

David Quinonez

Excellent food! Great service by the staff. Always cool to be welcomed with a Korean greeting as you walk in the door, and then once again when you leave.

mark jones

Food and service awesome!!!

For this being my first time in Springfield, I was amazed by how many Korean and other Asian food restaurants there are. This was my second Korean restaurant to try, and let me say this... it was great!!! The ingredients are fresh and the customer service is above and beyond. The kimchi was amazing just like it is back home! The meats are fresh and the selection is wide. The rice was nice and soft, the sauces and side dishes were also great. They even have a dessert at the end of the meal and asked me if I wanted to have it. The pastry that comes with the icecream was soft and gooey, it had a marshmallow filling. I sure recommend this place if you want to have original Korean BBQ.

Laurie McCoy

5 star service, food, atmosphere. Unbelievable! Don’t know when I have had a better dining experience in the last 3 years, and I eat out a lot! I would soften the music a touch or choose a more calming genre. That would be my only suggestion. Just an overall awesome experience. Will eat here every time we are in Springfield.

Chris Amburn

The food and service was excellent, the waitress was very attentive and cooking the meat at the table was pretty much foolproof. The meat was all fresh and delicious and the side dishes complimented everything perfectly and really enhanced the experience. It was a fantastic meal and I hope to get to go do it again someday.

Kara Kim

Everything I could possibly want from an all you can eat Korean bbq place. I left with meat sweats but I had to try a bit of everything! I've been waiting for korean bbq to hit sgf for ages.

Meladie Stark

Fun experience, food was decent. Seems expensive for the end result.

Paul Cho

The all you can eat bbq was amazing! We were able to go through the menu and try a large variety of meats. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent!

Took my girlfriend out to check this spot out. Made what i would consider last minute reservations through the website. We arrived about 6 minutes late but we reassured that would not damper our evening. Our host sat us briefly explained the process, then our server took our drink orders and make an amazing suggestion for the plum flavored SOJU, he also recommended we try a few and so we did. Turns out the plum was tge real winner so of course bam drinks with dinner who can say no..... anyhow the meat selection is incredible regular stuff like beef brisket sliced thin. The beef bulgogi was amazing, now if you go.... try the hog jowl and pork belly... i felt like a kid in a candy shop when they brought the plates out. 2 plates of meat per table but even with two people we destroyed 6 different meats which are unlimited for 2 hours...... at 25 bucks a head its more than reasonable for everything you get... any cheaper and they would need to build a hotel onto the building for all the happy patrons slipping into food coma's. I really wish i could rememver our servers name he was amazing, attentive and polite. Heck i dont think i saw a single table that wasn't smiling and laughing.... springfield needs more places that bring food and families together in new ways.

Kayla Gann

The food is amazing and the service is even better! The staff was really nice and very welcoming! Will be going back!!

Dana Charlotte

My husband and I went here for his birthday dinner and throughly enjoyed the experience. Oddly enough one of our favorite parts of the food offerings were the pickled radish slices meant to make wraps, protein-wise you cannot go wrong with either of the bugolgi options. It's definitely a unique experience and fun, too. Our only complaint was that our waiter continued coming by and turning down our range after being told we could adjust it to our liking while we were using it.

Josie Hines

Amazing! So happy to have such a great reminder of my time in Korea. Food was so well prepared and fresh.

Adrien Fox

The food experience was really enjoyable. We've never been to a place like this before. There was really way more food than necessary for us, though we do have typically smaller appetites. The only issue we had was the server. Every one was friendly and kind, ever our server. The issue was he was a little too checked out. He complained about the back room staff, his migraine, the trouble it is to clean the grills and he seemed to forget about us several times. We may go again some day but hopefully he is better trained or let go.

Federico Fuser

Best korean bbq in town

John Deutsch

All you can eat for $25 plus drinks.

Nick Stojsavljevic

Great all you can eat and the servers were very attentive.

laura misenhelter

Service was excellent, make sure to order your next round of meat as soon as your waiter/waitress delivers the food. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing!

Black & White Roofing

First time went there today. Very impressed and delicious!

Lexus Anderson

Seriously AMAZING! I expected it to be good based on the reviews, and it exceeded our expectations. Our waiters Andrew and Brady were fabulous and had the best suggestions as far as what meats to order! Spicy pork bulgogi, calamari, and pork belly were our faves! Soooo worth the price. Also don’t sleep on the dessert - I ate an embarrassing amount of mooncakes!

XxSasukesgirl6629xX

Love this place! The price is fair for the amount of food you eat. The staff is super friendly and they are very knowledgeable about their product and answer any questions you may have. They also dont mind helping you cook your food if you are u sure of the time to do it. Delicious food and definitely worth a try if you like Korean bbq

Mike Frejik

I had to go to Springfield for work and was pleasantly surprised by this amazing Korean BBQ joint. As soon as I came home, I told homegirl we had to find something similar in St Louis. This will become a staple of my work travel diet. The beef bulgogi is one of the most delicious things you will ever eat. Try it with some white rice.

Bryan Stockton

Come hungry and try out all the different kinds of meats. Give yourself time to enjoy the whole experience. Manager comes around to ask about your visit. Very personal and delicious.

Ju-Heon Lyu

All thumbs up! Foods, service and price were all fantastic. I recommend "Bawi Korean BBQ" wth zero reservation.

Grace Byrd

My sister in law who is a chef and has had korean bbq in korea loved this place and thought the prices were reasonable. I thought it was still thought it was very expensive but I'm from SW Mo and don't eat out much. I liked that they bring you sauces and sides along with all you can eat meats. They also have ice cream available and included in the price but the menu doesn't say that. It's pretty meh ice cream with a hershey syrup and half a moon cake. It was ok, but the dessert seemed odd to be all prepackaged for the price you're paying. I didn't really see any super impressive culinary skills at this restaurant which I feel like if you pay for a restuarant more effort could be made than I saw.

Ashley Myers Graves

$25 but all you can eat Meats (steak, chicken, shrimp, beef, etc) a great place for a date night or anniversary!!!

Allante Cad

Health Inspector needs to eat here once! Great concept; terrible execution. Cross contamination is a big issue in any food service process. This place breaks all the rules. A table full of Patrons are not given any knives; one pair of scissors to cut seafood, chicken, and beef; with no way to wash or cleanse it in-between courses or raw food / cooked food. To actually handle the raw food and place it on the grill; one utensil, a single pair of tongs are used; same tongs again used for handling & serving the cooked food. Again, with no way of cleaning the tongs when going from raw to cooked service. The patrons prep and cook all their own meat & seafood; the first things that hit me were: 1. No way for the "patron-cook" to wash their hands before beginning the cooking process. Not even an anti-bacterial wipe or hand-sanitizer. 2. After peeling raw shrimp by hand, and putting it on the grill; again, no way to clean up except a paper towel / napkin. 3. Our second course was a beef bulgogi, which left a lot of burnt-on debris on the cooking surface. Instead of replacing the cooking surface with a clean one; the table server simply spread the muck around with our cooking tongs and a dry paper towel. It would have been better to do nothing; now it was all balled-up with small pieces of paper in it smoldering, and the tongs were nasty. And now we had to cook our chicken in this mess, which obviously came out black and tasting of the beef. 4. They do not use traditional china for plates; it's a small, shallow, stainless steel plate/bowl; that again, you have no way of cleaning it between courses. It would make a lot of sense for them to just give you a stack of spare, clean dishes; but this is not done. 5. No spoons or other utensils are given. Only 1 fork and/or chop sticks per person. This leads to everyone at the table using the fork from their mouth to handle and serve the small shared dishes of side-items, like radish, kimchi, etc. Our family likened it to "camping". You sit around the stove and everyone participates in the cooking / sharing process which isn't very sanitary when camping either; but it's expected in camping; not in a restaurant. Fortunately, for a small family, sharing forks, bites, etc. is no big deal. But I would never go to this place with a large group or with casual friends. No telling what you'd catch; and that's aside from the cross-contamination of food.

Joey Palmer

It was very exspensive for what it was. The meat was just ok.

Lucas Forrest

This place is amazing, come hungry! It's pricy, but unlimited meat and sides for 2 hours...

Gray Foster

Great food and fun! Went for Father's day with family, throughly enjoyed the experience. Will return

Eric Ross

Really? Overpriced, silly portions (tiny steaks, HUGE amounts if chicken) and then a charge if you don't cook/eat what they bring? What a joke. Don't waste your time ..go to Denny's.

Madi

Wonderful food, great staff- we will definitely be back!!

Kathleen Wade

Great food! Wonderful wait staff. Fun time!

Nathan Farley

Great all you can eat restaurant with quick friendly service.

kraziAnne

I’m Korean and I’ve been waiting years for a traditional Korean BBQ grill in this area. This place is amazing! Great quality meat, amazing service (informative on dishes and process if you’re not familiar - will also cook for you), kimchi tastes just like Mom’s, and the K-Pop in the background are all major wins!!! A new favorite place to eat! Must check it out!

Brittani Smith

My husband took me here for a fun dinner experience. We had a blast cooking our own meat on the table grill and making different combinations of eats with all the different sides. The different flavors were great and being able to try different things made it exciting. We will definitely be going back. It was nice to be more interactive in our meal out. Change it up a bit from our normal eating experience.

Brian Hawkins

There are a lot of great comments about this place here, but this was not our experience at all. First, this is an interesting concept. I'm not huge on paying so much for food I have to cook myself, but it sounded interesting. The decor: The inside of the restaurant is a little dark (lots of black everywhere) but it isn't so dark that you can't see. The tables and booths, are a little low and with the grill in the center of the table the legroom can be a bit small if you are taller. Restaurant: The place is clean. I had no issue with The cleanliness of the cooking surface as they seem to either change them or clean them very well between customers. A word of warning here though, they turn the cook surface on for you, so you are at their mercy. We asked about it because around us we could hear food sizzling on the grill top, but at our table it seemed to do nothing more than warm the food. The food: This was why we really came, but we actually left disappointed. The beef items were tough with many of them just tasting like soy sauce. There is no seasoning for the meats past what they put on. The brisket was very thinly sliced, but frozen. With the heat issue at our table this dropped the temperature a lot, but the brisket itself tasted old and bordering the point of being bad. Without the grill surface heating properly our chicken couldn't be consumed. No one wanted to test that out and run the risk of getting sick, plus while we did get chicken we never actually ordered it, either time it came to our table. The sides are out on the table when you arrive so don't go in expecting them to be warm. Many of the sides are pleasant though. Your meal comes with sherbet at the end which the two people with me commented was actually the only good part of their meal. Service: We definitely didn't have the great service everyone talked about. Our server brought us the wrong food several times. We all ordered water, which comes in a plastic container for you to pour into tiny cups, but took way too long to refill. We were told a cart would come by to refill any side items that we would like more of, but we actually had to ask every time as we never saw anyone with this mystery cart. When we did ask for more, one of our party members were scolded about what the dish was, even though she correctly identified the dish to the server. The food to cook took too long to arrive, or drinks were almost non existant and the server could rarely be seen. Several times as we were telling what we wanted she would nod her head and start to leave as we were speaking. Overall I gave it a 1 star, it is the worst food in Springfield, and by no means do I give it a recommendation. Every experience is different, but this wasn't good start to finish.

Patrick Planer

Reccomend reservation, food excellent we did have some issues with grill could get the heat right

Meghann Neeley

We love eating here. Its more than just dinner, its an experience. You cannot buy the meat or get the variety of meat for the price anywhere else. The sides are also delicious and add to rhe flavor palette. Personally, I eat as many short ribs as possible. The fillet is a close second, so tender and juicy! They are reservation only, so call or message on facebook early.

Jorge Diaz

Our first time here and woooowww we loved the concept, everything is fresh and delicious, highly recommended.

This is restaurant is under-rated. The place has a friendly ambience. The food was terrific! And our waitress Jessica helped us a lot. It was our first time in going to a korean grill type restaurant. They made us feel so welcome and she even helped us on cooking and making sure we are okay and/or need more food and drinks. Husband and I will bring our family and friends next time we visit. Thanks a lot!

Jamie Whitt

Fantastic food and fantastic service from start to finish. A great place to catch up with some friends over delicious food.

Anthony Beabout

Fantastic food and service experience. Went on Thanksgiving evening. Great service from Brady and Andrew.

Megan Robertson

I have missed Korean BBQ since I left Hong Kong and moved to the middle of the US! So glad this restaurant opened up in Springfield! The marinades are delicious, the sides were mouthwatering, the servers were attentive, helpful and friendly, and the experience is fun. Getting to cook your own meat at the table is the best. We'll be back once we can save up to afford it again!

B

This was the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. The waitress hardly let us cook our own food, every time I spoke, she corrected me when I wasn't even speaking to her. I asked if they just had regular moscato, and the waitress said "Hey Buddy, this is a Korean restaurant. We don't have American wine," uhhh ok. As I was using the tongs to flip the meat, the waitress took the tongs right out of my hands, but then when she came back later and my wife was using the tongs, she asked her very sweetly if she could have them. Their plum wine tastes like toilet water. The waitress interjected in our conversations, corrected me on the way I was eating my food, and slammed my bowl of rice down on the table in front of me. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Larry F

Didn't care for the place. Takes too long to eat because you cook the food on a small grill. Vegetables takes forever. Meats too salty for me. For the money there's many better places to eat for less. The waitress was very nice and helpful.

Briseida Salazar

Every time I have been I have had a great time only thing I would tell you is MAKE A RESERVATION! Even when they r not busy they will make u wait an Hour to get sat.... still love it and will return

Brad Bledsoe

Such a fun dining experience. Nice atmosphere and great food! They do the prep and you cook the meat yourself on the table center grill. Drinks were great - many flavors of Korean rice wine. And the service was top notch and very helpful both in selection and explanations of best ways to cook meat dishes. A wonderful dinner! Best to make reservation - busy and required a short wait at the bar, even on Wednesday. Worth the wait though. Enjoy!

King Fish

Amazing food and service. The spicy pork was my favorite. Things that could use improvement, but certainly aren't deal breakers: the booths are very uncomfortable and flimsy (try to get a table with chairs). The sausage is for real just a hot dog in sesame oil/salt & pepper. The dessert was a 1/4 piece of chocolate moon pie, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and Hershey drizzled on it. Besides those very minor things that are easily avoided Bawi rocked!

Alica Rutherford

The food and service was wonderful, however, my friend and I (in our 50's & 60's) were disappointed in the very loud "K-pop" music that was playing. Some of it sounded like rap, and it was a huge distraction during our meal. I think this restaurant caters to a young crowd, and unfortunately we were looking for a more traditional Korean restaurant.

Mike Morelock

A fun experience, great food, and a very helpful and attentive staff.

Crystal Smotherman

I did not care for this place at all. The quality of meat was awful. The beef and pork were very fatty. The shrimp was not de-shelled or de-veined. The sides were just okay. The price is the most outrageous to me. If you serve quality meat then you can MAYBE justify $25 per adult. I would much rather go to Jimm's and spend $25 per person where it gets me a great cut of meat and quality sides, then I would leave feeling much more satisfied with our $50 tab than I did here. We will not be back.

and2 Bass

Great food! Friendly and helpful staff. Fun for everyone!

Tbird 3

This was an awesome experience and worth the money. It's $25 per adult, and $13 for children 4-12. Our waitress was Trinity, she was helpful, professional and kind. She provided great service and was attentive and quick. All of the staff is friendly, everyone of them greeted us. I love that they understand customer service. Clean, fresh food. The sides (kimchi, veggie pancake, corn salad, pickled radish, marinated veggies, house salad, and rice) are endless. The meat options are all delicious. It's two meat options per table, BUT you can place an order for your next meats while your current ones are cooking, or still in the warmer after cooking. So many combinations and everything was delicious. A tip, the waitress can pour sauce on your cooking food to flavor it if you like. Also take advantage of the little bowl of ice cream and dessert, it's unlimited and it feels really fresh after eating so much yummy meat.

samita gazi

Food and place is great, it gets very crowded so the servers don't come promptly after you call them. You may need to wait a bit for the food to come, love the server's attitude and friendly behavior. Has also a Korean alcoholic drinks section (soju bar inside) , alcoholic drinks are not included in the all you can eat in 2 hrs offer. As I am not a drinker so I can't comment on the quality of the alcohol , I am presuming it to be good. Desserts come along at the end, it's to die for! Don't feel shy to ask for refill of side dishes, water since it ends too quickly!

Jordan Karlson

Walker was amazing! He stepped through the whole process and was diligent on making sure we had whatever we needed! Our table was the last one in the restaurant And he never stopped giving us exceptional service! The food was exceptional as well, I definitely would recommend 10 times out of 10

Jon Edwards

fantastic as always. great food. great service. awesome experience

Nikki Pointer

Really awesome place! Absolutely love the concept of this place. Food was great! Service was great. Just a little on the pricey side. It is all you can eat, so be sure to go hungry!

Kelsie Bayless

Amazing food, pretty good portions, and friendly staff. Worth the wait and the price.

Jany Adwerson

This the first time I write review on google map. I won’t give any star if the google map allowed. I went here yesterday at 3:50PM. The first question that the server asked us is, do u have the reservation? After I said no. they told me until 9:00PM, they all full. They closed at 9:00PM!!! Most of the tables we can see are all empty at 4:00PM. The most funny thing is there’s no guarantee for those tables. Won’t come back and try this again! So, make sure you have a reservation before you come to here, no walk-in welcome!!!

david kimery

I am so glad Springfield finally got some legit Korean BBQ! This place is great!

Gennifer Ringold

I like the experience. Food is good. The one thing I didn’t like, is they charge you $10 if you have any food left uneaten, but they won’t let you take it home. I’m ok with the extra charge, I get why they do that, but don’t charge me AND throw the food away. Let me take it. That’s a waste.

Dan R

Good food and able to have good conversation. Recommend for sure.

Jason Grimm

Fun place to eat. Interesting section of Korean alcohol. You can cook the meat yourself at the grill in the table. Be sure to make a reservation. A little pricey at $25 per person but it's a fun experience.

Michael Weaver

Everything is wonderful there. Its definitely an experience. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the price.

T G

Loved it! You grill the food at the table yourself. In Korea the youngest person at the table does the grilling. Two hour time limit. Make sure everyone is there first or you may not be seated right away. The kimchi was fantastic. The meats are good. Everything was good. They have Soju. You should call ahead and make a reservation. Seating is limited. I had a blast.

Shane Burks

I don't give many bad reviews, but seeing as I never tasted the food they get 2 stars based on the service. On a slow rainy this location has the hostess and she checks us in a tells us it will be a minute. 2 servers come to her stand and she walks away. They begin a little dance and start talking about the music. The whole while our table is ready, but the side chat is more important. We waited a minute more and they stood there. So we got up and left. After we are opening the doors to the car they open the doors to the restaurant and yell our table is ready. Not the service to catch my attention especially on our first time ever being there! 2 stars

Nicole Smith

My sons & I LOVED this place. Great experience, great service, great food!!!!

Michael Gerlach

Delicious food, generous and kind staff, and a fun experience! I highly recommend this restaurant. But please be aware, you need a reservation to dine.

Sprat Mairasy

First time going there and it was the best experience.

laurneà Jarman

Great idea and very unique theme of the restaurant. The only thing that im not a fan of is that we are only offered meat and seafood. There's not really a variety i would say. It is still a restaurant if you are wanting to try something new and different

Mark Brantner

I had the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Absolutely delicious. This is an all-you-can-eat restaurant. I recommend you check it out

Taylor Baker

Amazing BBQ and experience. I love that other cultures foods are slowly getting introduced into Springfield. The veggie patties and pickled beets were fantastic with the meats. It's really a great experience to have with friends and family.

Estella Smith

The food was pretty decent. However, our waitress was extremely rude. She wasn't rude to our whole party, just my one friend. Anything that my friend asked, she answered as if she was offended. It was very strange. Not sure if the food is worth returning if the service is that bad. There's a couple other KBBQ places in Sgfd that have awesome service...

Salvador Ruiz-Esparza

After living in Korea Town in LA for three years and having to move to Springfield area, this restaurant took us back in time. The service is phenomenal and the food is very good quality. Perhaps in the future I will see more of the traditional Korean BBQ dishes as customers get used to this type of restaurant. We went back to back in less than a week. If you want to experience Korean BBQ, you must go here.

David

The food is always great. There's not one dish that we didn't like. If we could make one change it would be the size of the beers. $6 for what looks like less than a pint is pretty steep. All in all though everything else is worth it!

Esther Derevencha

Fun experience here. Server was really nice and helpful explaining the process. You can eat as much as you want for 2 hours! All the fixings too. The meat was nicely prepped. Dessert included. Drinks are extra. Decor is modern, contemporary. Great lighting.

Steve DeNovi

If you want to spend 2 hours starving, this is the place for you. They give you a tiny grille that doesn’t cook enough food unless you are eating alone, and then you wait 20 minutes to get your next serving of food. Also, if you are 6 foot or taller, be prepared to be uncomfortable in their way too tiny booths.

Alex Lee

Amazing as always. As far as I know this is the only type of Korean restaurant in Springfield that does all you can eat. Service is awesome and everyone that works there is friendly. Food is always fresh and tasty. Bawi's is a great place to take the family and make memories. Would recommend! I come here for any type of celebration!

Brandon Hagel

Good food good service and clean. Price ain't bad for all you get.

Elijah Nygma

Easily my favorite restaurant in all of Springfield! A fantastic price for fantastic food. I've already been there upwards of 5 times, and I'm looking forward to going again in a few days!

Toby Tugg Hicks

Food was good, cook yourself, but Walker the waiter was very good. Gave him big tip, because he deserved it. If you go there ask for Walker you wont be disappointed.

Nick Altrup

Bawi is a lot of fun. My favorites include the spicy pork bulgogi, the beef brisket, and the pork chops. The sides are quite good also. I would rate it five stars if they stopped playing annoying (and loud) pop/rap. It ruins the atmosphere for me.

James Wells

We had a wonderful visit at Bawi's! It was our first time and so we had to get used to the way it works. At first I thought maybe $25 per person was a little high but then considering you can get 2 meats at a time for two hours, that's a lot of food! I thought thr waiter was going to cook the meat for us, but no. Not a big deal. But defineatly go hungry, they give you all the sides you can eat.

Rose Shelton

Almost gave it 4 stars but I feel like it took forever to get started and the cook time in between the 2 meat/table restriction was slightly frustrating. Service was decent;most are still in training as it is new so it is to be expected. Limited bar in case that's important :)

Patrick Smith

Aweosme food at a great price. I love the calamari steaks.

Exiled Knight

This place is great for anything! For a date. For a dinner with a friend. Anything

Nick Wright

Just had to leave a review for this place. We had some friends visiting from Indianapolis and were trying to find somewhere to eat. I remembered this place had just opened so we went in. They were busy but got us seated immediately. Everyone was SO friendly, the service was exceptional and the food was awesome. Our favorite was the short ribs. Definitely will return, Springfield needed something like this badly.

Robin Jenkins

Good food very good service

Cheyenne Kane

This place was awesome! Very clean modern design. Food concept was easy to learn and absolutely delicious. Great idea for a group. Staff was helpful and quick to assist. I will definitely be back.

Kevin Akenhead

Fantastic service. And for an all-you-can-eat restaurant the quality of food was spectacular. And it made it an interesting experience cooking your own food at your own table. I highly recommend this place.

Randy Harter

Excellent service, great presentation and delicious food. You can't go wrong with Bawi.

Chris Green

Fun experience. Great food and service. Beautiful restaurant.

Alva Gerlach

Another great meal at Bawi! Excellent staff, too!

ronald kemp jr

Great place. Cooking your own meat, with sides and sauces provided.

Cody Choate

Pricey but definitely something everyone needs to try at least once. Great food and courtesy waiters / waitresses.

Michael Chang-Wook Rhee

Awesome !!! Pork belly+Kimchi+Rice+Soup combination was perfect !

Sharon Latta

We went for the 1st time as a combo celebration of birthday and anniversary. The first several trays of meats came to our table pretty scantily filled. We cooked and ate them with no problems except for the "sausage" which was pretty much a Polish sausage. Not very good. Our last order of meats came to the table piled up almost more per tray than all the other combined. Needless to say we weren't able to eat all of it. We didn't really care much for the pork jowls either which were part of the last order. We were confronted by staff who explained that since this was our 1st visit they would not charge us the customary waste charge, she then mentioned that they do offer differently sized orders....1/2 orders etc. This wasn't made known not was it on the menus. This confrontation ruined an otherwise fun experience.

Aaron W.

Pretty fun place to hang out and eat with friends.

Justice Murchison

Great quality food and friendly staff. Had a blast on first visit and am already planning on going back

Shawn Michael Kirkbride

Cannot highly recommend enough. Absolutely one of the best Korean food meals that you'll eat in Springfield. The food is exceptional and the service is good as well. Atmosphere is nice enough for a date, but not so uptight that you should feel the need to dress up. This restaurant is all you can eat, with a two hour time limit. Grab some friends go sit down, and try out different combinations of food. With a wide selection of meats and Seafood in various seasonings, paired with a great selection of seasoned vegetables at the table, you can dream up thousands of combinations of flavors. You can order two different Meats at a time, but don't feel limited by that. It's still an all-you-can-eat restaurant, so once you've placed all of the meats from your first two selections on the grill to cook, you can order two more Meats to try out different flavor combinations. theme of the restaurants is a traditional Korean BBQ allowing you to prepare your food at the table yourself. There's a small Grill in the center of the table and you just place your Meats on the grill to cook, and then parrot up in your bowl with a complement of vegetable options that are already on your table. It's a fantastic experience with friends providing plenty of opportunity for conversation and experimentation. This is one restaurant in town you definitely owe it to yourself to try at least once. Reasonably priced. It's obviously not fast food but certainly not overpriced for what you get, in the vein of restaurants like Flame. Definitely a great night out with a good meal

A unique restaurant for the Springfield area. Fun for a special occasion and a bit of adventurous eating. Service is really on point and courteous too. Be sure to have a reservation.

To be completely honest I had my doubts because of the price but it truly is delicious. Probably the best restaurant in Springfield! Highly recommend!

First time we ever attempted a Korean BBQ place and it did not disappoint. We unintentionally went on the night of their one year anniversary and it was a great time. All of the food was fresh, endless sides and meat. Its a great experience cooking meat with friends or family. It was my wife and I on date night and we decided to make it a regular date night location. Bring lots of people and speak to each other!

This place is excellent. I haven't been able to find a good Korean BBQ restaurant in Missouri until I visited Springfield and went to Bawi. The service was awesome. Our server Andrew walked us through the restaurant's ordering policy and helped us light our grill. The price might seem a little steep ($25 per person) but its all you can eat in 2 hours. I walked out feeling gorged and like I was about to pop. Truly an amazing and unforgettable eating experience.

Tonight was my 2nd visit - we were served first by Jessica the GM at the bar and she again impressed us with her extensive knowledge on Korean alcohol. Then we were taken care of by Kris at our table and he did a great job - super accommodating and nailed it all around. Great vibe at this spot and it’s a truly enjoyable experience- well priced and great quality food and service.

Miles Warren

Pretty darn good!

Teresa Jenkins

This was our first time here and it was amazing! You cook your food on a grill sat in the table. It's all you can eat for two hours plus a free desert, so bring your appetite!

April Lynn

This place is one of the best Korean BBQ places I have ever been to. I've been to places in Seattle, NY, LA.. And the service/ food quality here is divine. We were met with a super kind and knowledgeable bartender named Christina. She let us try small amounts of each Soju so that we could make a proper decision on a bottle for table. The meat was perfect, service was impeccable. You need to eat here.

We had a great time! Food was outstanding. Service was excellent!

From dinner dates with your significant other to big groups of 16, this place can handle it! Having been multiple times, I can say without a doubt, the service is incredible every time. The food is always fresh and delicious. My wife and I really enjoy the Korean dining experience provided at Bawi. If you need a solid recommendation of what to get first, go for the beef bulgogi and the calamari steaks. Be sure to put some of that sesame seed oil on the grill before your steaks, you wont be disappointed!

Jessica Diamond

Really good food, but it comes to your table raw, and YOU have to cook it. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Not every customer is up to date on food safety, so to expect the customer to come in and cook their own food on a hot grill with only a pair of tongs and some kitchen shears is asking alot for some of us, especially at $25 a person. For that price, I feel that they should cook the food. JMO. That being said. Expect to spend a full two hours here. Why? Because they only bring two meats to the table at a time, and they make sure your grill is low heat so it takes forever to cook the food, and then when you order the next meats, it takes a good ten minutes for the server to bring it to the table, and then you get to cook again.

Mary Cunningham

Yummy yummy - so fresh - fun. Just sit eat and enjoy talking while you're cooking your food

joanne levy

A unique all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ where you cook the meat at the table and are served as many sides as you wish and a variety of meats within a 2 hour time period. We had never experienced anything like this and found it very satisfying and excellent food and service. We will be back. Reservations needed.

Carrie Vore

Such a fun experience. The food was delicious and the service was great!

This is a great addition to Springfield's asian food scene. Much needed take thats not been done here until now. Good service, good food, nice place. Loved it.

Krista p

So much fun and great food! The quality of the meat is great and their service is so prompt and friendly. It's a great place to go with a group of friends. If you're afraid of grilling your own food, don't be! They have helpers and sometimes they'll just do the whole thing for you, but honestly it's fun to grill it yourself after you get the hang of it.

Mo Brown

Yo this place is top 5 for me. This was our first time trying Korean bbq and our experience was better than expected. Its roughly $25 per person and you cook everything yourselves. You can choose your meats, sides, salads, and drinks. It's a really great experience and it was fun cooking our own food at a restaurant

Natasha Longpine

We had a great meal. Our server was wonderful. We let her guide many of our food choices and she did not steer us wrong, from grapefruit soju to the pork jowl. Though you have 2 hours to order the all you can eat, we were able to chat at our table for much longer without feeling rushed along. We also were taught about several Korean customs and it was fun to incorporate them into the evening. I only wish we would have asked about half orders for our last meat selection. There was food leftover that I hated to see go to waste and you can't take home the leftovers.

Kirk Jones

Food was ok I guess, at best. A little oil on the grill could go a long way to making it not stick and burn all the meats. $25 per person, and I ordered sausage. I was quite disappointed when I saw hot dogs appear. 2 hotdogs slice in half length wise for our table of 4. That's fine, none of us wanted hotdogs anyway. No serving utensil for the community vegetables, so I guess we all dig in with our forks or use contaminated tongs that have been handling the raw meat? Then for desert, our waiter described it very well. It was ice cream and chocolate sauce on a moon pie. Literally, a little debbie moon pie (half of one), a table spoon of ice cream, and some chocolate drizzle. We also got the thinly sliced beef briscut. Came out frozen. It's thin, so it cooks quick enough, but not even the illusion of getting a fresh cut of meat. I'm not sure what the target demographic is, but I guess good for them getting shockingly good reviews. I honestly would have been happier with a hotdog . . . I mean sausage. . . from the gas station for a tiny fraction of the price.

This was a realy memorable dining experience. A bit expensive but worth it. You get to experience a multitude of Korean cuisines and eat til you can eat no more!

Luat Vu

Pretty good and pretty clean. It's an all you can eat restaurant. They have a limit of 2 dishes per order which I believe they should change for the first 30 minutes you're there. Always a hassle when there's more than two people and everyone wants to try something else or wants more.

SheShawe

I wasn't able to cook my tofu as well as I would have liked because they don't turn the heat up enough. They also expected me to eat large slices of vegetables raw (even zucchini). Edit: I did try to cook the vegetables, but the servers set it so low that it hardly even got warm.

Nathan Todd

Great food and they no longer require a reservation which was a much needed convenience. Will definitely be back!

Gary Greene

Really enjoyed my birthday dinner at Bawi! Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. Drinks were awesome, and affordable. Everyone ate plenty without being stuffed. Food quality was incredibly good, and fresh. Sauce selection was great too. Staff was helpful getting us oriented, as it was our first visit. (Definitely not our last!) Atmosphere was great too! Subtle rgb lighting adorned the walls and windows, accenting planters inlaid. The stainless steel service tied everything together nicely. Definitely recommend, and we will definitely be back!!

Michael Blair

Lots of fun to cook at the table and helpful staff. All you can eat meat; how can you go wrong? The Korean side dishes are really good as well. We've been back three times so far! The only thing stopping us from eating there more often is the price, but it's worth it every once in a while.

Great food and experience

Valerie Little

This was the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. The waitress hardly let us cook our own food, every time I spoke, she corrected me when I wasn't even speaking to her. I asked if they just had regular moscato, and the waitress said "ma'am, this is a Korean restaurant. We don't have American wine," uhhh ok. As I was using the tongs to flip the meat, the waitress took the tongs right out of my hands, but then when she came back later and my husband was using the tongs, she asked him very sweetly if she could have them. Their plum wine tastes like Robitussin. The waitress interjected in our conversations, corrected me on the way I was eating my food, and slammed my bowl of rice down on the table in front of me. Needless to say, we won't be back.

I rarely post EVER post one star reviews!!! Ok, so, first off the food was great! Get the premium version when you go, it will be worth it. Here is were it gets the one star review. This is also our first time going. Our waiter was very nice, but in order to get more food we had to get his attention every single time. I can understand if it was a busy night. It was not busy at all. My wife and I saw the waiter go and check on all the other tables he had, but he rarely asked if we ok or needed anything. At the very end of our meal we decided to see how long it would take before he came and check on us. (We were not eating or cooking anything at the time). It was about 10-15 min before he came and asked if we were ok. This was a super disappointing experience, my wife and I were very excited about going.

Conor Mannion

Excellent dinner choice. The staff was very friendly and able to help my brother and I in our first time trying korean bbq. Overall one of the best places we have had the pleasure to visit in Springfield.

Tracy Barrett

This place is very much Americanized Korean food. I have had Korean BBQ many places in the country and this place isn't very authentic. It's also quite expensive but it's all you can eat so I guess that balances things out. The best part of the meal was actually one of the sides which was a vegetable pancake if that tells you how unspectacular the meal was. We tried a number of things such as beef bulgogi and spicy pork and also the tofu. None had the flavor I am accustomed to getting with authentic Korean BBQ. Some of the sides were Americanized also and the salad wasn't very fresh. I would give it a 2/5 except the staff there was amazing. They were very kind and attentive and were very happy to explain things. I won't be back to this place. I can't justify the price compared with the food quality.

Bobby Hoover

First time there food, service, everything amazing I suggest reservations it gets busy

Yevgeniy Podgornyy

Great place to eat. Food is delicious.

Emily Wand

Fun place to have dinner! Definitely make an evening of it, not a quick place. Great staff and food was good.

Mathew Harper

Amazing experience. Such kind and carrying staff. Would recommend for anyone who loves amazing food and outstanding customer service.

James Ruston

Worst service I have had at a Korean restaurant

Krystin Sebastian

Food was awesome, service was great, and it was such a fun experience.

Beth Richards

The atmosphere is super urban and trendy inside. Great ambiance. And the food experience is like nothing else in Springfield. It is for sure a unique experience! My parents went with me and they are not big on trying new foods or places, but they even really enjoyed it and said they would be back! Our server was so friendly and really boosted our experience by showing us tips and tricks that she uses to cook the different meats.

Christina Pryor

First thing I want to clarify to Ozarks diners: it's all you can eat and you never have to leave the table or disrupt the conversation!!! My husband never stopped smiling the entire time we were in the restaurant, and I am not exaggerating. It was just that good of an experience. We read the rules and stuff and we were hesitant to make a reservation (definitely do make a reservation because they put out quite the spread in honor of your arrival.) But it was a completely unfounded fear. When you enter another person's house you respect the customs and I was actually glad to see a place interested in curbing waste and only raising the prices for those who do. You can let them know, since it was just my husband and I, that we wanted very minimal meat portions and on some just samples and they were glad to accommodate. WE. ATE. SO. MUCH. FOOD. I was beyond skeptical at radish wraps and kimchi because they have never been an even decent experience before, but this was my first experience at Bawi so when in Bawi... We made a nice dent thru trying the menu but not nearly enough progress and the Bulgogi Beef in particular needs another shot. I have to see if they can maintain that amazing flavor and quality every time! I tried all the sides and several combos but I was in awe of the little tacos I was making out of the sweet sauce which was my favorite of the 3. Never in a million years did I think there would be a suitable replacement to traditional tacos, but radish wraps it is for me! Our server, Kris, was super pleasant and didn't mind running around like crazy for us... Not the traditional concept when you think of all you can eat, but seriously Kris truly was a great guy and we appreciated him. He was a great addition to the rest of the environment. While they obviously stay moving, the tables still felt private, and they play a great station of familiar trendy music sang in Korean. It's also played with a nice quality sound system that reminds you you are having a fantastic family and friends gathering rather than at the honky tonk. Super nice peaceful decor with alternating soft lighting over the windows. Thanks for coming to Springfield. You are just what we needed for a new experience. Looking forward to future experiences with you.

Gary McCullah

Food was good! But with five people eating cooking was slow! So we all ended up filling up on sides. Price was a little high for cooking your own food!

Sheila Mustain

One of my very favorite new places in town. So delicious and I can't wait to go back. Our server was amazing and our grill assistant Andrew was so friendly and helpful and cheerful, even though he was working on Thanksgiving. Highly Highly recommend this place!

Brandon Chase

Great professional service. Fantastic place to make reservations.

Jessica Lea

Oh my how much fun! Perfect place to bring friends. The kimchi is fantastic and they have Korean pancakes that are so yummy!! The meat selection is great and tastes amazing. Wait staff is very nice.
