Here to try the new menu. Disappointed that some of my favorites are gone but looking at this Nacho Crunch burger is making me hungry. Good burger topped with a Jalapeño. Glad to get some great recommendations from Jen at the bar. She quickly got me into the happy hour menu when I arrived 11 mins before it ended. Definitely see her and ask for her recommendations.

I've been to this chain in other states and usually find it fairly appealing. Could very well be the fact I visited on a Tuesday night with no events going on, but the place was empty and the atmosphere was pretty dull. Not to mention the service was incredibly slow which was surprising since I was one of 4 people at the bar. Maybe this is a better option when a game or some other event is going on, but I'd avoid it otherwise.

This is a great and convenient location, one of the only places in the area open until 2am! The drinks and food are amazing and the service is always excellent. I am consistently impressed with all the Bar Louie locations in the area, but this one is by far my favorite.

It was good. Went for happy hour and the drinks and appetizers were good, queso was BOMB, salsa was spicy how I like it and the guacamole was okay just needed some salt. Overall it was Fun and I will be coming back

Went with a large group for a bachelorette party. We had reservation and they sat us. Then no one came over to serve us. We had to stop someone after 10minutes and even then it was hard to get their attention. The food was ok, the drinks were over priced and the service was terrible. Definitely won't be returning

Was there recently with some buddies for the first time in Arlington's location and have to say it was the best of the bunch. So Bar Louie, 1st, I'll need you to step it up on the look & feel of your gluten free menu.. Not the single torn sheet of copy paper? .. but after coming here for the last 6 months with this newly discovered gluten sensitivity, I was never aware of the gf menu. I figured like most that if it weren't on your main 'always sticky' bar menus #yuk, then there must not be a gluten free menu.. Low & behold the highly attentive bartender (with the dope crazy dreads) one of the best in NoVa I'd gamble, offered it when I mentioned that I couldn't eat most of what was on the menu.. All & all I still go because it's still a great bar but if they can just wipe the menus every hour on the hour and add the gluten free menu to the main menu - that tab would say, EAT/GLUTEN SENSITIVE? (WE GOT YOU!) I love this bar! (no really, I do).

Was up in DC for Rolling Thunder and kind of stumbled upon this place. Used to eat at the restaurant next door but it closed down so I walked into Bar Louie and knew I would love it. The bar is huge, and the ambience is really chill. The bartenders gave me excellent service and the food was top notch. I had the ahi poké (wonderful and refreshing) and the DIY fish tacos, which I thought were flavorful and super fun! My boyfriend met me there after a while and asked the bartender to make us a few surprise shots and she did not disappoint!!! This will be my regular spot when I visit DC again!

Disappointing experience. Showed up on a Tuesday afternoon toward the end of happy hour. The entire interior was packed (mostly drinkers, not a lot of eaters) so my party of eight sat outside. Service was poor and we had to ask several times just to get water for the kids. At one point we were told that every glass was dirty, so we'd have to wait until the dishwasher could catch up. All adults ordered drinks but my beer didn't arrive until we finished the meal. One salad never arrived at all. On the positive side, the food was good and most dishes came out of the kitchen quickly. If you can arrive when the bar isn't packed I suspect you'll have a great experience.

This place is the place to go to, great ambiance, good food, music is always on. Always get my beers and burger for 11$ on Tuesdays. Here is a tip see Jenn at the bar, she will take care of you, make sure your food is hot, and your beer is in a frosted glass. Couldn't recommend it more.

Wow you guys have MAJOR management issues. Very poorly ran, you guys are losing lots of money with the way you are running this place. Get some bus boys and don't rely on your servers to clear tables. You need more servers, shouldn't take 40 minutes to order a drink sitting at a table. And definitely shouldn't take another 40 minutes to get drinks after ordering. We sat and watched numerous people leave. Definitely would not recommend.

Kept hearing their radio spots so decided to check it out, has a relaxed vibe and moderate buzz as advertised. I was flying solo but would definitely consider bring a group here. Took a couple minutes to flag a waitress after I seated myself at a high top behind the bar, but service was good after that. Nice mix of fixed and rotating beer taps, with the usual pub fare on the menu--fish and chips is hard to get wrong and theirs was just fine. Good cocktails too, finished with a very solid Manhattan.

Their Bourbon Burger is scrumptious! For 21 and over only! And Tuesdays they have $1 burgers for happy hour (small upcharge for BB). Full bar and there are martini specials for a couple bucks on Wed I think. Nice decor, cozy ambiance.

Easily spotted from the street. A lot bigger than it looks once you get inside. Great selection of beverages as well as a good selection of menu items. Great Sports Bar atmosphere, has a great selection of boothes and tall cocktails with bar stools scattered throughout. Hard to judge the service. During Happy Hours - they can't keep up but once the crowd thins they are very attentive. The bar prices during happy hours are great both the food and beverage specials. They have street parking as well as garage parking but not too far from the Metro Bus & Rail systems also. Enjoy!

As always Bar Louie is amazing. We brought our dog with us to this location. They didn't have servers that we working the patio area, yet the bar tender said she would. The bar tender said the service wouldn't be as good because of working two areas, yet we thought the service was still great. Definitely will be back.

Terrible dining experience. First, it took 20 minutes to get a drink. Then we got our meals minus silverware, napkins or condiments. We would have asked for some if the waitress ever bothered to checked on us. The drinks were not made properly and the food was average at best.

So my co-worker and I had gone on half-price burger night. He really enjoyed his burger and I really enjoyed mine. We also got the plate of nachos. Our server was really good. We did have to ask for napkins as my coworker need to get rid of his gum. I did have to go to the bar and grab some napkins. My coworker had to ask for a couple of refills rather than being offered them. But, as a former server, I tend to be more lenient on servers than perhaps most people.

If you are from out of town steer clear of this place. If you are from KC and wanting some of their specials be sure to make sure that there isn't and event going on as the regular specials disappear due to price gouging reasons from the events. Food is alright, but certainly not worth the price. The regular priced burgers are the same as the burgers you can get on dollar burger night if that says anything. More so paying to eat at the location. When they honor their normal specials, its worth it! They do have good martinis though.

First time in this place. Saw some reviews and decided to come for the burger specials. Got the Gastroburger with loaded tots on the recommendation of Jen working behind the bar. It was a gooey cheesy delicious mess. Ambiance is nice. Bar top isn’t sticky and the music isn’t too loud that you can’t talk to people. People at the bar are really friendly too. Glad to have met Jen and try this hidden gem.

I will give it 5 simply because the wings were great. I couldn't settle for the $5 Boneless Wings which were on the special menu. The traditionals didn't disappoint though. The beer was good. I went on a Tuesday night so it had a slower vibe, less raucous environment so service was decent. No complaints on that part. Can't wait to go back!

I have been there plenty of times and service its usually good. For faster service i sit at the bar, but be extra patient if your going with large groups. The first time i went there this place was a total mess from service time, attention and quality but they have been fixing it since then and its better.

Dropped in on a Saturday evening, grabbed a seat and was served a drink reasonably quickly. After that the service went down hill. My girlfriend ordered a Truly, that the bartender delivered after about ten minutes. It took another 5 to get our server to bring a glass of ice (she brought a small glass). We ordered the hummus, it comes with vegetables and some crackers, it was average, no complaints. I finished my beer and it sat empty for another 10 minutes before I could get our servers attention to grab me another. After another 10 minutes I had to stop her to ask if my drink was coming, she blamed the wait on the bartender. The place wasn't very busy, I'm not sure what the issue was, but the service was not good. Might try it again to give it a chance, hopefully they can sort things out.

Service was less than great. A simple mojito was made wrong the simple spinach and artichoke dip was cold. Our waiter came by only one time to deliver the appetizer. He never came to ask about another drink. I wouldn't suggest going here when there are so many other options.

I’ve been coming here often never really thought to write a review but after tonight I want to give the staff here some credit . I sat down and was greeted and in the time the other bartender went to make my drink another bartender walked pass and ask if I been helped . After getting the Luigi sandwich which was perfectly cooked , I continued to drink it was a slower time for them so after finishing my food the manager came over and asked if she can take my plate I then seen her walk around grab other dishes and have little conversation with them really enjoy my time here tonight

Drinks too forever. Two burnt chicken sandwiches. Replacements took almost an hour. Wasn't offered much in the way of compensation until I said I was dissatisfied. Then recieved an attitude from the manager when I relayed my displeasure.

I’ve been coming to this bar since it opened. I live right above and have many bars to choose from in the City. I have to say that the bartenders Jennifer and Delonte really make this bar. It’s not just serving a cold beer anyone can do that. Jenn and Delonte have an awesome repertoire and it’s not just cold drinks but it’s entertaining and funny. They really do make this bar come alive. You want a good spot, good music, and drinks with bartenders that don’t just sit around then come here and see them on Burger night Tuesdays.

I had a great martini there recommended by my server. Beer was cold and my server kept my dogs in water without asking. Friendly people stopped by to pet the dogs and chat. The other customers were very good about my bigs dogs chilling while I met friends for drinks. And parking was free since it was after 4 at the structure down the street and Clark. Century Parking maybe is the name.

The food was a low ok. Pictured are the Voodoo Pasta and the hamburger plate. The pasta tasted and looked like a Knorr pasta dinner that you can get for .99 at Walmart. :/ The service from our server wasn't good either. Just get your stuff to go. #thanksforreading

Jennifer and Delonte make this bar. When you walk in and witness all the bar regulars talking and laughing you found a good bar. They know your name and your drinks. The boneless wings are nice and hot and the beers cold. They are always willing to make a change on the TV for whatever you want to watch and never act like it's a hassle. This is my bar.

You can’t beat this happy hour! Cocktails for $7.50 that’s not rail. Beers are only $3.50. No where around here in Northern VA has better prices. Can get packed because it’s pretty popular and no one is leaving the bar during happy hour... most of the time I can grab a seat at the bar though and love having work parties/meeting here. Music is a good variety and the food is pretty decent. The wife and I love Jennifer and D behind the bar. They are just really funny and have a good repertoire. Super attentive and always takes care of us. Definitely go see them they are the best!!!

Had a decent time at Bar Louie, Great Music, Great Vibe and Energy. My only problems is the service, very slow and inconsistent for a not so packed establishment. Great choice of food selection (variety) the prices are decent $$. Id definitely recommend for a group or even to watch a sporting events around the bar set up. Only problem I would say is the wait staff was a little slow for a Friday Night.

Was a Sunday night with a mostly empty restaurant and bar when we arrived. The waitress was inattentive and didn't bother to put in drink orders or even bring waters that were requested. Finally took a manager to get our orders placed and drinks delivered. Was absolutely disappointed with everything from the service to the food quality. Will not return.

The food was good but the service was AWFUL. Our waitress seemed least interested in serving us. She spent most of her time talking to some dude on the other table. There was no silverware to begin with. The drinks came AFTER everything else that was ordered had arrived and we had to call her for water refils. One of fours orders was wrong and when we brought up that the order was wrong she said, "Nuh-uh, that's what you ordered, that's what I heard" despite us telling her that what we had ordered. The replacement order came after the rest of us had finished eating. Not sure I like Bar Louie at this point.

This placw is a great place to relax after a long day of work. The bartenders here is honestly what makes this bar. D and Jen are the best they will keep you in your seats, makes sure you always have a cold drink in your hand, and has the best honest suggestions with food. Had to ask the bartender if it's seat yourself or if there's a hostess since no one even says hello to you when you walk in. Then I literally just sat outside on the patio for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged. There's plenty of other places in the area I'm happy to give my money to. Don't waste your time unless you are ok being ignored.

First of all you will not find a bigger A$$hole than our bartender/ waiter last night l. I have never seen anything like it. There was about 10 of us, and two of us were drinking heavily but not being obnoxious or anything like that. The other 8 of us were completely sober. He didn’t serve the drunk people and that’s fine I do not have a problem with that. He automatically assumed the other 8 of us were drunk, and wouldn’t serve us even though we were sober. He kicked a girl who was sober out for being drunk, ridiculous. Instead of us buying drinks, we had to convince all him we were sober....really. The guy couldn’t even bring a water to us after 3 request. It was the only place open or we would not have gone here. First time I’ve seen a sober person get kicked out of a bar for being drunk. Do Not go here!!!

This has been the worst service we ever received. We come every week, but today we had to ask for the burger menu multiple times. We waited for a long period of time and the waitress came back and asked if we were going to order anything and we had to tell her as soon as she brings the menu we could order. She comes back to our table with only one menu for three people. She took an even longer time to take our order and we waited for over hour for our food. We requested the nanager four times. Twice by asking other staff members and twice by calling the manager. We complained finally to a manager only received $5.00 off for the inconvenience. This was a terrible display of customer service.

Took our food order and immediately two plates were delivered that were not ours (should of just ate them). Told the waiter, he checked and stated sorry not ours. I went to this location a few weeks ago for lunch and it was straight filthy. I don't know whether I came in right after the lunch rush or what but the tables and bar was not clean, although the place was practically empty. The floor was ridiculously sticky; my sandal nearly came off my foot from it sticking to the floor. Although we were just two of only three people at the bar (and two of only about seven patrons in the entire restaurant), the service was very slow. After we got our food, the bartender went to the back for at least 15 minutes. One of our side orders was missing and we couldn't ask her about it because she was gone. This was my first time at this location (usually go to the one in Gallery Place), so maybe we just came on a not so great day and time.

We went during happy hour because I'm cheap like that. It is usually pretty packed due to the good deals that they have on drinks. They have $5 burgers on special on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. Drinks were good too. Chill vibe full of professionals stopping for a drink on their way home.

Burger night is the best. Different choices with two beers for $11 can’t beat that. The choices are premium choices too. Go sit at the bar though- see Jennifer she is what makes this place. My friends and I went there before a concert on March 21 for dinner and drinks. The majority of the restaurant was closed off for a private party, so we sat at the bar. It took almost 10 minutes for the bartender to take our drink order, and another 5 after receiving our drinks before he came back to ask if we wanted food. We had to flag down another server to get water, and we had to ask someone else behind the bar for plates and silverware for our food. We were only checked on once by the bartender while there (and we where there for almost an hour), and he just said “Do you want another drink or something?” when one of us made eye contact with him. When we said no, he walked away before we could ask for more water, though. When we were ready for our check, I grabbed another person behind the bar and asked for the manager so I could explain our experience. A few minutes later, she came back and said “The manager is really busy, can I help you?” As I explained our experience, she looked at me with doubt/frustration and explained that the bartender was “new to working events” and she “would let him know what we said”. I felt dismissed and that my feedback would not be taken seriously. We paid our bill and left. The two stars on my review are only because the food was good, no other reason. I knew this restaurant had a reputation for less than ideal service, and came in knowing that, knowing that we were in no hurry. But the poor service we experienced made the decision for us to leave and spend our money elsewhere. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Usually a great place for beer and food. Only 4 stars because of my recent 'not great' experience. I ordered the chicken and churros. Advertised as their twist on chicken and waffles. The churros were refrigerator cold and super dense. I asked the bartender if this was how they were supposed to come out. He admitted he never tried them, but it didn't sound right. Never got any feedback. I hope the kitchen just made an error. I'd avoid them just in case.

I’ve had nothing but the best experiences here compared to other places. Mercedez is my favorite bartender when I go she’s so much fun and pleasant. If you have any complaints she fixes them right away. The place is clean and definitely a friendly environment. They have daily deals on food and my favorite is the Mac & Cheese. It’s also convenient that it’s close to the Sprint Center. Love it!

New in town, transferred from Chicago to DC for work and recently moved in a couple blocks away. Saw on the metro there was a sign for Bar Louie and knew there was one near the apartment. Looked them up before and saw some bad reviews, but decifed to just wing it. Got a seat on the other side of the bar since the front was full and had to admit it was pretty lively for a Tuesday night. Found out it was half off burgers on Tuesdays and ordered a burger but since I’m training for the MCM needed to go bunless with chicken, no problem with my special order at all. Food was delicious, silverware was clean, and never needed to ask for a refill. Had a great bartender, a guy with dreadlocks. Who took good care of me but Saw a gorgeous bartender working the front, she looked like a Pacific Islander, or maybe Philippines Playing bar games with a group and had all the guests entertained. Even walked by and said hello with a smile and not because she had to, but because she was genuinely being nice def made me smile. Next time I come I will do one thing different, I’ll wait for a spot at the front of the bar so I can sit in her section. Grate first impression this restaurant had on Me. Try this place out!
