The best Mexican place in town BAR NONE. This place is the closest we have found to authentic Texas and Arizona style Mexican food. The prices are cheap especially for all the food you get and the brothers who own it are fantastic. They are friendly and they work hard to make sure everyone is happy. We go here at least 2-3 times per month and will as long as we live here.

I'll start off by saying this place used to be really good but not lately. I've had a lot of issues the past few times I've been there. I was there and got horrible service. The waitress didn't know what was going on, our margaritas were messed up twice so I had to go up to the bar twice to get it fixed, when we got our food it was not hot after we waited a while. The waitress also never once came to check on us after two different people took our order. We waited an hour for her and I got mad and went to pay at the bar. They asked where we were sitting and who took our order. I pointed her out and said she never checked on us. I told her what we had and asked to speak with some one bu they never came so I just paid and left. I felt jipped. I'd had issues before but that was not cool. I'll go back eventually but it's been a struggle everytime I've been there(between cold food and bad service) I've taken friends there and it hasn't been good. They need help.

My wife, son and I moved to the area from San Diego, CA last year and have not found a decent burrito anywhere... Until today!!! We had eaten at nearly every Mexican restaurant in the area and could not explain the difference between San Diego Mexican food and what we were finding here. The biggest complaint is "boiled" steak. I don't see how boiled steak is acceptable to anyone! I had the California burrito without shrimp and it was AMAZING! As good as all of our favorite places except for one. Anyone looking for a REAL California burrito needs to go here and not waste your time with anyplace else in Springfield. The service was great also!!! We will be back often!!!

Whew. This place was good. I forgot the name of the platter I got. But the burrito was delicious. It tasted fresh, smelled and looked good. The rice and beans complimented the beef and seasoning well. And I always appreciate great service and not having to wait more than 15 minutes for the plate to hit the table.

I've come here several times and it's great. Very busy and crowded tho. There waitress was this cute adorable woman who's pregnancy cravings gave us some great tips on the best way to modify the amigo burrito. I got the chicken cassadilla this time and didn't much care for it but I've loved all there other food. They have great deals and fat service and their salsa is so good.

Oh my gosh, I can't say enough about this place! The salsa was awesome, the queso had the perfect kick, my strawberry margarita had plenty of alcohol, and my husband loved his tacos al pastor (he is very critical of his favorite dish and is typically unsatisfied with the tacos at other restaurants). And I had THE best Chile relleno I've ever had at a restaurant (my mother-in-law makes amazing Chiles relleno from scratch so it's been really hard to find a really good one at a restaurant). Service was super quick and our waitress was very nice. I've been craving this meal ever since. We will be back when we visit Springfield again.

I love love love love love this place! The food is consistent every time. also the last time my family and I dined here we got to dine in awkwardness. the table next to us were employees discussing schedules and dating rituals or just dating things that I really didn't want my kids to hear. then when we asked for more salsa we got the impression and the feeling that we were bothering them. I've been dining there for 13 years and tell everybody how wonderful the food is. The last five or six times the service has been really bad. We haven't got our normal male waiter like we usually do who's excellent. So from now on I recommend you get it to go.

The wife and I came here for our Friday night date on the suggestion of my brother. I have to say thanks brother, because it was great. The atmosphere was nice, it was bustling without being overwhelming. The service from the staff was fantastic!! The prices are more than fair. It is good value for your dollar. The portions are almost too much. You could easily have 2 meals out of one entre. I would absolutely recommend this place. Be sure to try the steak nachos!

One of Springfield's "hidden" gems. The food is excellent and the prices are even better. The service is a little hit and miss. Some of the wait staff hustle and others will take your order and you will never see them again. Try a 32oz beer with the Nachos Supreme.

I love Amigo’s! Great, friendly service. Great food. Lots of choice on the menu. Hot sauces on the table so you can control your heat level. Unlimited chips and salsa with your entree. I’d recommend the California burrito if you want an amazing burrito.

My husband and I went here for the first time today. The margaritas were good and the food was cooked well, although my husband found some gristle in his. We enjoyed it until we got the bill. The bill should have been 38.77 before tax every item we ordered was listed for the right amount on the receipt , but the total was exactly 15 dollars higher. When my husband went up to question the total, the cashier/bartender added it up again and this time it came up correct. No explanation or apology, and my husband was left with the impression that this might not be an isolated incident. Do yourself a favor and add up your bill before you pay.

Ate there quite bit for a while and I just didn't see the high ratings. Main dishes were pretty good (but not a 4.7). Salsa and chips we're good (especially hot salsa). But over time I noticed cleanliness slacked and service fell off. Some of the staff was rude and indifferent. We have moved on and found better food and service. When comparing to other good Mex. restaurants in town this one realistically comes in at high 3 at best.

It's a great hole in the wall place! The food is really good and very large portions. It's got a Mexican comfort food vibe. Great place to relax and eat after a long day. I enjoy their seafood dishes. I got the Arroz con Camarones and my friend got the Camarones Rancheros. Both very good, mine was more cheesy and mild, and his was more boldy spiced and bright. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be. It's a great place to go with friends . The staff are very friendly and do a great job.

Chips were great. The salsa was very flavorful and had a lot of cilantro in it. It was not spicy at all which I liked. The margaritas are very good. It took a very long time to get our food. The waiter apologized saying they had a large order. I ordered the Texas Fajitas and the platter was huge. I ended up taking a lot home. The chicken and steak were a little tough. The shrimp was good. My friend said his chicken was very good. The waiter was very nice. We will be returning.

One of our orders had incorrect meat and oddly large garnish on it. Chips had so much grease that it was rubbery. Salsas was either too hot or mild tasted like tomato paste. Ticket was lost. Lack of stample mexican entrees to order such as no chimichangas, carnitas, nor fajitas. Also did not get limes until finished our beer.

I think this place has changed owners or managers since my last visit in July 2018. We have been earing here at least once per trip to see family in Springfield for each of the past 10 years or so (I cannot remember which year was our first Amigos experience). The salsa lacked a punch from prior years' garlic-y, cilantro-y flavor. The margaritas came out on the rocks rather than frozen (we never specified in the past as they were always frozen). Something was just a tiny bit different in our dishes that none of us could pinpoint. However, great, friendly service means we'll be back again July 2020.

They were over crowded and way under staff. Not our problem they only had 2 cooks for the amount of business. Had to ask .triple times for silverware and napkins. We order a small pitcher of margaritas which had so much ice we only got 2 glasses which the same as a single serving. When paying he was rude, threw the ticket at us and never once apologized for anything. Never going back.

For starters, our table was filthy when we walked in and our server walked up to our table and greeted us with “What do you want”. Salsa wasn’t horrible, cheese dip was nothing interesting and our food was very bland and tasteless. When we asked our server questions about the menu, he ran off without saying a word and just came back and stood at our table and didn’t talk. We had to ask him two more times what the answer was to our questions and he just replied “No”. Also, the rags they use to “clean” we’re just sitting in filthy water that had flies floating in it. I have no idea why this place was so busy but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Worst Mexican good we’ve ever had.
