Great smoked bbq with excellent fresh made sides. If you have a craving for bbq this is the place for you in Bay St.Louis.

You order outside at the window, then seat yourself inside, where you can order a beer. We had the Andygator. Don't bother. Had a soda pop feel with a beer overlay, although it does give you a buzz. Plus, it's a $5 beer in a plastic cup. We went with the coleslaw sausage dog with a side of JoJo's famous Mac & Cheese. It was cheesy. It was smooth and creamy. It had a bit of a kick, but certainly nothing I haven't had in dozens of BBQ shacks across the USA. I don't know, maybe for Bay St Louis, Mississippi it's as famous as it gets. Certainly the lady in the window taking our order couldn't tell us what it was famous for. The sausage was flavorful, also with a kick, but the bun it was served with, and I mean with as opposed to on, was toasted on the bottom to cardboard hardness. Pass on the bun and eat the sausage dog with a fork. But not the child size plastic fork you're provided with, as it will bend the fork right in half. Walking away, I looked at all the restaurants and eateries we passed to get to Buoys Bar and couldn't believe we had deliberately chosen to eat there. I liked their bathroom

Had rib platter and they were dry and burned. Had to ask for sauce and it was vinegar and hot flavor, no sauce. Baked beans were good, but Mac and cheese tasted like instant out of box. Surprised at good ratings.

The food at Smokin Jo's was Awsome. The Mac & Cheese like Grandmas and Baked Beans loaded with meat and Sauce , I ate till I fell asleep. I have to bring my Family there to eat now I know they gonna Love it. Thank y'all for the great dinning experince.

My wife and I have been coming to buoys every sunday afternoons for a long time to hear the bands. Just recently we started having lunch at Smokin Jo's the food had gotten much better and it was worth the money. Well this Sunday was cruzing the coast and we were trying to order the our food and inside the restaurant a woman who I have Never seen before was yelling at the who I thought was the owner he was there like you would expect a owner To work but apparently he was the manager she was going on about the store and food all he said was you didn't order trucks and he left I hope this is sorted out and the food stays at the quality it has been or unfortunately we will spend are money at another restaurant and bar
