I happened upon this place by googling breakfast restaurants in Gulfport, what an amazing gem! The meticulous appearance of this fabulous coffee shop and restaurant was beautiful with works of original art gracing the walls. I had the BB King and lavender coffee, I can't say enough good about it. The coffee was perfection, with just the right amount of lavender sauce to make it taste like spring in your mouth! The bread pudding of the bb king was hands down the best bread pudding I have ever had in all of my travels, and it was served the crisp firm bacon that added that delicious salty to the perfectly sweet. I will definitely go out if my way to come back! I bought a cold brew to go, just for the great blue bottle with a scripture verse on it. The prices are a little high but #1 you are paying for quality #2 great ingredients are not cheap #3 it is funding an outreach and people are priceless! So invest in an excellent cup of coffee and an amazing breakfast....you must go!

Me and my wife have been here twice and it's been amazing both times. It's great to have a place that serves gourmet coffee. The food is also very very good. It is pricy but you get what you pay for. The service is phenomenal, they are always checking in with you and even the chef comes out to ask how your meal was. The atmosphere is great, small and quaint. I would recommend and will definitely be back again.

Hands down best breakfast/brunch on the coast! Came here a few days ago with my folks and had some of the most amazing coffee and breakfast. I ordered the bananas foster waffles with a Bourbon Blues siphon and my father ordered the Southern Frenchman cold brew with the "les oeufs" which is french style eggs with a cream sauce over fresh french bread. INCREDIBLE! Everything is made to order too which was really refreshing to see in today's time. The coffee was handcrafted right in front of me using what appeared to look like a chemistry experiment. The cold brew is a true slow cold drip process that takes nearly 24 hours to brew! ( you can definitely taste the difference). And the food... THE FOOD! Each plate that came out looked like a piece of art. Both dishes were bursting with flavor, from tasting the real rum in the bananas foster to the fluffy eggs and crispy bacon that was cooked to perfection! Most importantly though, after all of this... the thing that sent my experience over the top was the staff presenting me and my father with scripture. This business gives each and every customer that dines a bible verse for that month. This filled my heart with joy to see these people glorifying God in all that they do. This business is full of Christ and are working for the kingdom of God. I can't wait to come back and continue supporting this business!

5⭐️ A truly delightful place! Decorated perfectly to provide a soothing, cozy experience. The service was excellent, my coffee and breakfast even better. I will go back every chance I get when I am in Gulfport.

Very interesting and unique items with out of this world flavor and quality. Very friendly and accommodating staff as well.

One of my dear friends highly recommended Renee's for a party that I was hosting. I was looking for something unique, different, and above the rest. I have hosted many parties in the past and have never been more satisfied than when I was with Renee's. From the service to the delivery, their team was more than accommodating. The overall professionalism that the staff exemplified assured me that my event would be a success. They take even greater pride in their fine desserts. I began my pre-order with their famous amaretto cheesecake. While I was preparing the next part of my order, the attendant was helpful by recommending "The Juliet" cheesecake which was described as a decadent layered raspberry truffle cheesecake. I immediately said yes, add that to my order! In addition, I wanted to add some more items for dinner plating that would astound my guests. By word of mouth, I have heard that Renee's has the BEST french macarons! My friends are well-traveled and and even went as far as saying they are better than the ones in France! With a word well-trusted, I ordered both of their authentic french macarons and meringues which both came with 24k gold embellishments. To say that my party was a success is an understatement. Every guest was amazed of the beautiful attention to detail that was presented on each item. The overall taste, flavor and quality of each dessert was the best I have ever experienced. I will continue an ongoing relationship with Renee's for all of my special events, and I highly recommend you do the same! - Susan Carter-Rhodes

A five star experience - from the warm welcoming to the siphoned coffee and out of this world brunch. This is by far the best service and experience I have ever received from any restaurant. I will be back with friends on my next visit. Definitely worth every penny.

Amazing. My girlfriend and I love coffee and all I can say is this was unlike no other experience. The cold coffee was great but be sure to try the hot coffee first. I would rather wait for good food than to eat bad food fast.

Michele Rogers

The coffee is excellent! My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast of Bananas Foster Waffles and the Renee Scramble. Atmosphere is pleasant as well. I would recommend this venue to people who value quality over convenience. The wait was lengthy, but in the end it was worth every minute.

Rob

Wow, you can taste the love in the food here. Great service and most importantly great coffee.

Josh Burns

Best coffee I've ever had in my life. The Les Œufs de Renée (French eggs over grilled baguettes with a bèchamel cream sauce) was the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. The EGGS! The eggs will melt in your mouth. Highly recommend if you're looking for high quality service and products. I grabbed two of their bottled cold brews to go (which they are bottled in these awesome blue bottles that have Scripture). I left feeling very inspired and renewed!

An oasis; delightful menu of hand crafted entrees and coffees. The staff is friendly, attentive and pleasant. Wonderful venue for brunch, lunch date, or to simply get away from the office and recharge with a quality serving of gourmet coffee and nourishing food. Thank you!

If you are looking for an authentic amazing atmosphere, people & most of all food & coffee!?! There is ABSOLUTELY no competition over Renee’s!!! 100% they are truly a piece of French heaven in our little gulf coast Mississippi home. They are the epitome of you get what you pay for!! There is nothing better than taking alittle bit of time for yourself & or along with family & friends & bring them to this amazing little haven. The coffee is the most divine on the coast! Hands down!! There is nothing better than a nice calm beautiful Saturday (any day really! But for me Saturday) coming in sitting down relaxing & being served in such an elegant manner & receiving the type of quality food & drink that you will receive here!! Absolutely wowed by this place! You haven’t lived if you haven’t had coffee & or tea & ANY of the food items here! Truly!! Very impressed

I came in to get some coffee since I’ve become a coffee snob of sorts. Who knew the research is extremely extensive? But it is and you have to know where those beans came from, how it’s brewed, ingredients in your syrup, and so on. I don’t like fake ingredients. I like the interior of this place but going in didn’t feel welcome. No big welcome as customers came in. Instead, it was all hush hush with whispers as if everyone was afraid to talk. A man behind the counter quietly welcomed us but we couldn’t exactly hear what he said. My friend and I felt like we had to whisper too. As we viewed the menu on the tablet, we were shocked at the prices. Using the word “artisan” is a fancy way of saying companies created a menu themselves and they take the time to make food and drinks perfectly. Problem is, it took them way too long to make two simple coffees. Artisan foods is fine but taking 20 minutes is too long. I paid $26 for two small siphoned coffees to go. Ridiculous. Give people a big welcome as they get at other places in the South, add more healthy ingredients as options and lower those prices. $8 a coffee is fine if that’s what you’re doing but $26??? No. Absolutely not unless you want to blow money and you’re in town visiting on a vacation. They increase the prices according to how the coffee is made. Sure but I can get a pour over for a nice price and those who don’t understand brewing styles, they’re not going to mind a drip coffee at $2.50-3. This coffee’s flavor isn’t worth the price. It’s nothing to write home about. The location is also a bit uninviting too. The reason being that it’s sort of hidden on Courthouse and no place to sit outside. No music playing inside. Just too quiet and not welcoming. Furthermore, I just noticed the owner walks up to customers if they write a review in the cafe. That’s extremely uncomfortable and doesn’t make one want to return. If the prices are this high and people don’t mind that part but are then confronted and made to feel uncomfortable, they’re losing customers. Business owners should be considering reviews made, tell customers they’re sorry and welcome them back. You don’t confront people then throw out Bible verses. I’m a Christian as well. While I enjoyed the shirts and the Christianity in the shop, it’s too much to confront people with a long winded response then close with Christian quotes. If your reviews remain to stay high for wealthier people, leave it at that and don’t change but don’t confront people who give honest reviews that you believe is a personal attack and isn’t. It’s only a personal attack if the customer has personal issues with you to begin with. A customer walked in and made a review. That’s that. They also copy and paste responses because while they like to take half an hour to produce coffee, they can’t personally respond to customers. I won’t be returning either.

So today I came across Renée's. I'm new to the area and was looking for a coffee shop; little did I know I was about to strike gold. Before I tried this coffee, my life was incomplete and I was fully unaware. This coffee was THE best cup of Joe I never even knew existed (I had the The Autumn Asher.) This is the holy grail of coffee shops. Real coffee being served by the friendliest staff you'll meet and you can taste it in their product. Great people, great place, and great coffee (not enough emphasis on the word "great".) I will definitely be back for more, and I'm actually excited to try some other products.

I really appreciate what these guys do here, i really do. You can tell they put a lot of care into all of their coffee, food and desserts. The Coffee was delicious, packed with a lot of flavor. If i was reviewing this business based on how the coffee tasted it would be EASILY 5 stars. HOWEVER, 35 minutes is an outrageous amount of time to wait for a Black siphoned cup of coffee. I would have really appreciated a heads up on the wait. I would highly recommended Renee’s if you are willing to wait AT LEAST 30 minutes before receiving what you ordered. Edit1: I was approached by 2 staff members in the middle of drinking my coffee asking about my review and if i could get rid of my low star rating. Since now i know you all are reading this i hope you would consider a few of the things i have to say. NEVER again approach a customer about a review they may have left. That was extremely awkward and uncomfortable and borderline hostile behavior. Google Reviews/Yelp/ etc are places for customers to leave HONEST feedback for you all to hopefully learn from and in doing so growing your business. Again, my only critique was the amount of time spent waiting for coffee. A simple heads up before hand would have been sufficient. God Bless you all.

Smooth, fresh, aromatic coffee. Lovely, quiet authentically friendly. I only chose to experience coffee- wonderful! - but now that I have, I'm compelled to return and just spend the $30 for coffee and Bananas Foster because...it's vacation! Why not? I want to support Renee's vision of excellence for her guests, and her Savior.

I am really disappointed in how they run this business. If you're going to not post that your business is closed to the public for any private event on the door or social media you should be a private venue, cause you haven't earned support from the public. 1 hr or driving to be told they couldn't serve the pulic during the public open posted hours because they were busy with other people. Again if they can't run the business during business hours, don't have the business.

My girlfriend and I recently stumbled upon this little gem while in town for the weekend. Don't pop in expecting a quick job off the griddle, but rest assured that the slight wait will ultimately yield one of the most delicious and satisfying breakfasts you have ever had in your entire life.

Found this little jewel in Gulfport. The coffee and desserts were amazing and the employees were so knowledge and sweet. It's definitely worth visiting for the true coffee lover. Family friendly which was a plus!

Best cold brew I ever had.

Carol Whitescarver

Best meal in the 2.5 years I have lived in the coast. Perfectly cooked eggs on crispy baguette. Small but very French interior. Excellent, refined service. Lovely spot for brunch.

Rebekah Byrd

Awesome dining experience. Very quaint, but upscale. The coffee and breakfast served was magnificent, smooth, fresh and perfectly flavored. They are also Christian, which makes this place even better!

Wow!!! We were traveling through town and we were looking for a unique delicious local restaurant and we found it. This was our favorite restaurant on the Southern coast line. My son had chocolate waffles and gourmet hot chocolate and I had an exquisite asparagus egg dish with siphon coffee. We would definitely stop here again. However, a couple FYIs: this is a "Christian" restaurant and the food is quite pricey. I think the food was worth the value, but due to the expense we would not go there frequently if we lived closer.

Amazing service! Very elegant and beautiful place to have breakfast or lunch. Definitely recommend and try the tea with blueberry and maple syrup.

Southern style coffee and breakfast that is local, unique and delicious.

I went with my dear mother to have lunch and coffee at Renee's today and the experience has led me to this review. We entered the place and it is beautiful. Bright and clean and just very fancy. The man at the desk greeted us and pointed to the iPad menu. We each ordered a crepe with fresh fruit and asked about the different coffee processes. He was not overly helpful and we decided on siphoned coffees. With a 10 percent discount before tip, the bill was 48 dollars and some change. After sitting down, it took over 10 minutes for him to begin making our coffees which was a process in itself. After about 15 to 20 minutes total of sitting there a girl emerged from the back and approached our table. She explained that the crepe my mom ordered was not available and asked did we want something else from the menu. Now, this question would have been able to have been answered had I memorized the menu on the iPad when I was still up at the counter because she certainly did not have it with her to reference it. After an uncomfortable silence my mom decided on the bananas foster waffles as a substitute and the girl went to the back. Another while later the girl came back to the table to inform me that the bananas foster waffles was a difference in price of 2 dollars but that they would do me the honor of waiving this extra cost for me. I should hope you wouldn't expect that I would pay you the difference in price for the meal that I did not originally want because you sold me something that you did not have...deep breath...now back to the wait. All in all we waited over 45 minutes for a crepe and some waffles. I had to leave a tip when I paid for my food and I did not get a receipt - or so I thought. When I checked my email after leaving, a receipt was in my inbox and I could see that I was charged an extra 2.75 percent fee for using my debit card that I didn't know about and the cost of my crepe was 2 dollars more than what was listed in the menu - they charged me 18 dollars vice the 16 dollars written on the menu. Their food might be super fresh and fancy and their coffee might be amazing to everyone else out there, but the additional hidden costs after giving them over 50 of my hard earned dollars for crepes waffles and coffee I am definitely not sold and I won't be back.

These were the best eggs I have ever had! Tut coffee was also fantastic. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny!

I recently visited Renee's because it was highly recommended for the best coffee ever. Well, it indeed was! The siphon coffee was out of this world! The brunch was so incredible, I could not stop talking about it. The presentation is just like the website shows, I couldn't believe it. I wish there was one near me in Louiuiana. I shall return, it is relaxing, everyone is nice and above all, it was an experience to savor!

I rarely write reviews however I feel compelled to in this case. The coffee at Renee's was amazing and the production process beyond intriguing. I am writing this review and the reason for the single star, is a result of the actions of the staff. I was here with my daughter's boyfriend. It was the first time we had been together alone. While we were here he wrote a review. He left one star. He had issues with the time it took to receive our coffee. Which was over half an hour. While extolling the virtues of the coffee he did negatively critique the time. A few minutes into us enjoying this wonderful beverage two employees, I am assuming owners came up to us and asked for him by name. This in and of itself was perplexing. After identifying himself we found out how they knew him. It was the review. They proceeded to explain how it takes time to make coffee and how they didn't appreciate his review. I sat in amazement as I watched his face visibly change from the embarrassment he was experiencing. They continued to pressure him to change his review while we drank our coffee which sadly he did. It got to the point where we both couldn't wait to escape this extremely uncomfortable situation. Great coffee but if you dont toe the line be careful.

Oh my goodness!!! THIS PLACE! One word: Divine. The atmosphere is beyond welcoming, the service was A+, the food.....the food!! Scrumptious, delectable, succulent - to name a few. We started by ordering coffee which is made to order, in a way I've never witnessed, and let me tell you - it was THE BEST coffee I have EVER tasted. After we placed our order for coffee and food, we checked everything out. In the adjoining room is where the MS School of Arts meets and has classes, all around the establishment are pieces of artwork, and simply neat objects to converse about. We were served with water, then out came our coffees on trays with everything we needed. Although the food is made to order as well, it was served relatively fast as well. It was picturesque. And the aromas.... just stop. We had to take pictures, my business partner took a video. We were made to feel like Queens. Chef Renee came out and asked us how we were enjoying everything, which is nice when the chef actually cares. And even though we were checked on throughout the visit, we were never bothered. I truly recommend this place! She also offers made to order desserts, and culinary classes, plus much more

Was recommended this place and is definitely worth it. Absolutely delicious coffee that they make here so you won't find it anywhere else, scrumptrelescent food, good environment and great service. Stop by if you like coffee or slow good food.
