Glad I stopped in, enjoyed the meal. Really good salad bar. The fried seafood selections were good. Service was pleasant and good. Large selection of food choices so most folks should be able to find plenty to eat. After drink and small tip the bill for just me was near $25 which was probably a touch hefty but overall a positive dining experience.

Your renovations are very nice, but still playing country music a little too loud. Every patron is not into that kind of music, especially when you are trying to have a conversation. It can be bearable on a lower sound setting,. Waiting for the "grill" expansion, although the food was better than before. Sorry, to find out getting a meal on "senior citizen" eve will only save appxy. $1.30, what I was told when I called it.

It's not bad . It's all you can eat buffet and it's pretty good so far. They offer a wide variety of things to eat and snack on. If you do decide to go then go early as the longer they stay open the worse it gets go when they first open . Try and get one of the older lady's to serve you the young girls there don't care and will not tend your table. Over all it's good

This buffet is so reasonably priced. Like $9 for a lunch buffet... and it is worth every penny. The best salad bar anywhere in Mississippi to begin... and then all types of southern fare, including their perfect fried catfish. There's fried chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, heavenly homemade coconut pies... why pay 7 dollars at a fast food restaurant when a couple more will get you a buffet with dozens of foods? Get there early for best parking... the dining rooms are huge, though, so rarely do you have to wait to be seated.

Recently remodeling dining area. A huge buffet with over 30 things to chose from with a stand along salad bar the size of most Andre bars. The food could be better but not bad for $10.

The catfish was fried to hard..the fried shrimp were soggy... the oysters were rubbery along with a few other items..When we came before it was delicious...I won't say we won't visit again..I just hope it will be better next time.

The desserts are good. Wide variety. Salad bar has plenty options, as well. The food today was too salty or too sweet or too whatever that odd seasoning they use, perhaps msg. The servers were all friendly, and the atmosphere is like a family reunion, so your food is likely to cool off while you talk to your distant cousin.

My experience was great. This is my first time eating here since the remodel. The seating area is bigger. I love the new carving station. The ribs were very tender and seasoned well. The wait time was about 25 minutes when I walked in.

The food is good. They have huge salad bar with everything on it. They have catfish every day too now. The only thing I didn't like too much was the bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breast. It looks really nice since they renovated and the price is still reasonable.

My husband and I ate from the buffet for less than $50. They offered boiled shrimp, fried or baked fish, frog legs, etc. and some vegetables. They had an excellent salad bar. My potato, from the boiled shrimp, was raw. It would have been better, if they had used small potatoes. The shrimp was a little bit too spicy, for my husband. The hush puppies and stuffed crab were overcooked and didn't have enough seasonings. It has a great atmosphere, with country music playing over the speaker system.

Excellent food! The buffet is a decent price but they do charge extra for crablegs, which they bring out for you with 3 clusters on a plate. The crablegs are seasoned well. Now my visit we were told we were only limited to two plates of crablegs.

Poppa's Buffet &Grill is an absolute favorite of mine! Great food and plenty of it! On Sunday's they have vegetables that some like that you can't find anywhere else around here, that I am aware of. Vegetables like Rutabagas, which aren't a favorite of mine, but are of many, are generally a constant feature on Sunday's. They have purple hull peas, Lima beans, string beans and the list just goes on and on. The Fried Catfish, is my favorite there, along with the various fruit salads, and baked Coconut Pie,! They have every kind of salad you can imagine! And soft serve ice cream! Other meats as well...a baked ham, barbeque ribs, roast beef, as well as boiled Shrimp and frog legs! Haw! It's so good!! The servers from the kitchen keeping the bars full are "on the stick"! They often have more food waiting to replace what is getting low on the bar. The servers are the best bar none! They are focused and swift with serving you and keeping you glass refilled. They earn the 18% set fee for seving a party of 8 or more! It's a bit pricey to eat there on Sunday, but well worth it. If you haven't tried it, please do it's fantastic!

I ate Poppa's for the first time tonight. My mom and best friend gushed over this restaurant, so I had to try it when I came to Mississippi. I heard how good the crab legs were so I wanted to try them for myself. My mom, daughter and I went. I was so excited about the menu, but quickly disappointed when I was told they were low on crablegs. I just sat at the table and watched my mom eat. I got up to speak to one of my cousins and told him how disappointed I was. One of the workers overhead my disappointment and she came up to me and asked me if I wanted some and explained that I might not be able to get many plates. MS. MELINDA WAS MY HERO TONIGHT! She brought out a plate of the biggest, juiciest, tastiest snow crabs that I've had in a long time. Not only was I able to get another plate, but I was completely stuffed. I told Ms. Melinda how she saved my night. I can't wait to come back to Mississippi so I can return. The staff was friendly, the set up was nice, the catfish was perfect, and the snow crabs were perfectly seasoned. I can't speak on the other food, because I was too stuffed off crab legs to taste it, but it looked good and my mom said it was delicious.
