My parents have been before, but they took me for my first time recently. The service was amazing, the wait time was very low, and the food was amazing. The lamb chops were amazing, it was the first time I've ever had them! My parents had the veal and the salmon, which were amazing as well. The desserts that we had were amazing, we got a coconut tart and a lemon tart. Both were phenomenal! I do recommend sitting outside, it was very nice!

Such a great experience, we accidently showed up 45 minutes before they opened for dinner (our bad haha it gets dark early right now) they warmly welcomed us in and immediately got us started with appetizers and drinks. Ask for Ryan and David, both hilarious and very attentive!!! Such a great place for a nice dressy night out!! Get the crab cakes and coconut shrimp also get the blueberry lemon drop for a drink!

We are visitors from Panama City in the Florida panhandle and one of our goals when traveling is to seek out unique and interesting culinary adventures. Upon arrival, our server Ryan became our gastro guide through an incredible dining experience! From the appetizer to the wine and continuing through the entree and the dessert, his recommendations were spot on! The rack of lamb and amber jack were prepared to perfection and the sides could not have been more complimentary to the main courses. And then there were the deserts (the chocolate mousse and the coconut with pecans, cream and caramel)...individually they were divine but we chose to share and we now understand how God would make an almond joy! To the entire cast and crew who prepared and served our meal tonight - THANK YOU! This was a meal and dining experience we will always treasure!

Great location with a wonderful atmosphere that is friendly and relaxed. My only comment and the reason for not giving them 5 stars was that while the table service and bar service was outstanding the menu delivery time could have been better. Granted they were very busy but their menu is not so complex that they should not have had a better system. I will go back with the hopes that it gets better with timeliness of meals.

Good food and drinks, but slightly expensive. Average dining experience - we had reservations for 4 and they sat us in the bar hi-top area...this is an annoyance since the dining room was completely open.

Really good food. I found the ambiance ruined by annoyingly loud and profane drunk, "regulars" hanging at the bar while I tried to eat in the dining room (a whole separate room from the bar). The staff seem very kind and attentive but I think that the loud woman in the restaurant when I was there, may have been over served.

Enjoyed this quaint restaurant in Ocean Springs. Fresh ingredients and dishes with a french flair made for a delicious meal. Scallops were fantastic. They have a small area for dining outside that was romantic. Our waiter was quite entertaining and added to the dining experience. Will definitely go back.

Came for my daughter birthday. Salmon and hartickokes for entrees. We had the Veal Chop T-bone and the Sword Fish. Both excellent. The service was outstanding. Good wine and atmosphere. Recommended!

Ok. Here goes. The staff is so nice and helpful. Look for the guy with the white beard he’s cool. David and Ryan helps us and their recommendations were in point. We had a little bit of everything. We did blueberry lemon drops and bourdon ginger ,very yummy. For food we got Filet, Rack of Lamb, and bone in pork chop. Alllll great!!! The fries were nice and crispy. A great dinner place.

Wife and myself eat for our anniversary last Saturday, food was marginal at best, coconut shrimp where burned and the smallest I have ever seen, My lobster tail was over fried, they did replace it but was not very good, my filet was small and dry not expected for 58 dollar meal

Horrible experience with the crab cakes which we sent back twice only to have them charred on the bottom. Our service was rude when we brought it to his attention and insisted that that's how they were supposed to me. He then told us "he was to busy to deal with us" very disappointed!

Cute place. It's a bit small, with indoor and outdoor dinner seating and a large bar area. Went here to try the #1 bloody Mary in Mississippi and that did not disappoint. The service was also great. However, my dinner left me wondering what I paid $35 a plate for. It wasnt bad food, just not worth the price in my opinion. At the time of our visit, there was a large party in the bar and it was very loud; hard to hear the server and even talk to each other. Not a problem of the establishment itself, but something to consider if you are looking for a quiet romantic place to have dinner.

Ryan needs to be fired for his unprofessional attitude and behavior towards a customer!! And shame on you Ryan and Mrs.Lou. A long time customer being treated the way she was on her birthday and during her final days on earth!! Shame shame. What was suppose to be a wonderful birthday lunch turned into one of the saddest events that will be something I will carry the rest of my life. The waiter named Ryan totally ruined our lunch with 4 of best friends only because once I caught his attention I waved for refills of water. I have terminal cancer. I have been in Hospice for 5 months...I choose one of my favorite places to celebrate turning 61, a thing I never thought I would do and it was totally ruined by Ryan announcing he would no longer wait on our table because I had disrespected him....I was totally oblivious to this because I simply asked for a round of water as we prepared to leave the restaurant. I have loved eating at Maison De Lou for many , many years. Unfortunately this will be my final memory of this place that use to be so close my heart. Facebook review of my sweet cousin: Happy birthday to me....tears and all. I will never eat here again. I hope you will not either for the ungracious server, who only had to wave a finger inticating "I gotcha" instead of announcing in the middle of the restaurant I'm not waiting on you because you were rude to me. I thought if you needed something from your server, you told them. Unfortunately he didn't feel like serving us something as simple as a refill of water. And let me add this...he knew it was my birthday celebration as when we sat down he told me it was his girlfriend's birthday as well. Lou, I know he has worked for you a while and in the past he had joked n been one of my favorite waiters but this is totally unacceptable to me. I am left here in tears for only asking for a refill if water. Be sure I will share this as much as I can in the short time I have left here on this earth. No I cannot forgive you right now. I will pray really hard tonight as a Christian woman to find the place in my heart where I can forgive you. Right now I'm dumbfast and very hurt over something so simple that could have been avoided. Oh and one more thing...I told our waiter we would not be coming back to eat here at Maison De Lou for a while and our waiter said.......................... I DON'T CARE!!! I would not want a person like this working in my restaurant.

We were seated outside. The sandwiches were fantastic but the service was horrible. We waited 5 min to get a glass of water. When the food arrived we asked for mayonnaise. After waiting around 5 min my husband went inside to get it. While he was inside the waitress asked if we needed anything, she did not approach the table but asked as she was about to walk in. My husband came out without mayo and the waitress was about a minute behind him but did not bring water. She placed the mayo down and said "I'll be right back with the water." At least another 5, maybe even 10 minutes passed. She came put and brought another table their check and didn't say anything to us. My husband went it to get our water.

My absolute favorite place on the MS Coast. Attentive service- knowing the menu and specials and preparations well! Can offer advice for options which are spot on (they can read their customers) the Goat Cheese Torte is to die for. Definitely a last meal request. Their seasonal specials will rock your socks off! This place is definitely a best kept secret- and the secret is OUT!

Excellent food, excellent service and the atmosphere was fantastic. The dishes were very well done and were interesting twists on southern food. The French influence is decidedly there without sacrificing the unique taste of the South. I enjoyed the fried green tomato BLT sandwich and the goat cheese torte. Both of these were very good with flavors I didn't expect. Overall a solid choice when looking for something unique in Ocean Springs. Parking is of course a challenge on this street, but worth it.
