A trip down memory lane. My grandfather retired here. My father worked 29 years here. I worked 2 summers here. The food was great, tasty and fresh. They have kept most of the walls the same. Thanks for the memories.!!!

Pilot is a top stop when on our travels. We do, however, find they just fall behind Love's in terms of cleanliness of restrooms. The selection of groceries and "truck stop foods" is good and the locations always make for a quick on & off of the interstate.

Very good wait staff was young humorous awesome group. Started with bourbon street nachos shrimp, crawfish, sausage peppers over tortilla chips with a white cheese sauce. Then had a strip comes perfectly cooked with a dab of herb butter and mashed potatos. Very good slow sunday night in town for a conference with clients. The others had Caribbean ribeye everyone said theirs was good as well. 2nd trip to central station grill impressed both times.

I've never had a bad experience visiting the grill. Extremely nice and elegant atmosphere. It would seem that their staff is held to a very high standard. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food as well as the overall experience. If you're visiting Starkville I would definitely give "The Grill" a visit.

Lovely place! Atmosphere was great, food was great (Chicken Alfredo & Wildberry Cobbler), drinks were great (Old Fashioned & Pomegranate Press), service was not that great. Would have given 5 stars if not for service. It took 2 of us 1.5 hours to get one entree & one dessert, after waiting 30 minutes for a table. I saw multiple other servers pass by & serve their tables but our server went missing several times. She was very nice, just not very attentive. We will definitely be back if we ever come back to Starkville.

If you are ever forced to come here, I suggest the House Salad with Blueberry Vinaigrette and maybe a Philly. Anything else you would be better served to go to any other franchise restaurant in existence. Even though the food doesn't wow you, the atmosphere will, but probably not in a great way. When I go out to eat, especially at a "restaurant", I prefer not to have huge flat screen tv's glaring at me. Overall, the place comes off as a Buffalo Wild Wings knock-off.

I ate here yesterday! The food was fine but there was one huge problem! After I paid for my food the waitress brought me back my receipts but no card! I knew I did not physically touch my card after the food was paid for! The table was cleared fast! The thing that really got to me was the fact that they couldn’t tell me who cleared the table! We spent about 30 minutes searching for the card, after I continuously told the waitress she didn’t hand it back to me she tried to argue and say she did! She asked me if I wanted her to get the manager and I said, “YES PLEASE DO THAT!” So the manager comes and he’s really nice about everything. He goes to look for the card, he finds it! Tell me why this girl left my card in the card reader at the register supposedly! After she tried to argue with me about giving it to me! Anybody could have grabbed my card and kept it moving! They need to be way more careful about things like this. They also need to teach their waitresses to take responsibility for their actions! For all I know, she was the one who had it! You can’t just take situations like this lightly.

The service was very awful!! The food was extremely late coming out. It took hours for the food to arrive. After the food arrived no one came to give refills or ask if we need anything. Four individuals in our party asked for items, but they were never brought it. Very Very Poor Service!!!!

If you want a kids meal burger for 10 dollars go here to eat! Oh and you get 2 strips of bacon on your kids burger for a small additional fee. So basically you get a burger that's not quite the size of a junior bacon cheeseburger from wendy's and it don't even taste as good! What the hell. I literally told my wife while eating there, this place is like where people that have lots of money to waste go and eat. She asked why and i said hell you get more in the 4 for 4 meal at wendy's then you do here for triple the price. I'm glad we had a gift card because i wouldn't spend my hard earned money there.

This restaurant is wonderful. It has great good and polite staff. The many times I have been here have all been wonderful. The wait times are a little long on the weekends so either make a reservation a few hours in advance or arrive before the most popular times, e.g. 6 PM on a Friday.

Over all every thing was perfect except i had one HUGE problem with one of the hostesses. I wont expose her but she had blonde hair and her name starts with a k. She kept making rude faces at me and everything she said she had her nose up in the air. She was snappy and i am almost positive she was the reason we had to wait and hour and a half to get our table after the first lady told us it would only be a 20 minute wait. Her snarky attitude made me never want to come back.

We had a reservation and it took 20 minutes before our first drinks arrived. Waitress was not social or friendly to our party. When the food arrived after an hour and ten minutes, my meal was cold (obviously it had been sitting out awhile) and the other members of our party's Hamburgers were raw. The alcoholic beverages (even a mamosa thats made in large quantities) the wait was 20 to 30 minutes to get it. No i am not exaggerating time frames. Overall, poor service or at least poor management/training of certain wait staff. I wouldnt choose this place if you want to entertain family or guests. This was the 3rd time we have given this place a chance and have continued to be diasppointed. This will be the last time that we will go to this place.

The food is always good. They also do 5-course wine dinners on occasion, and they serve the most amazing food on those nights. They perfectly pair each course with a different wine, and they are incredibly generous with refills, too! If you’re able, I would definitely recommend going at least once because it is absolutely worth it.

Once again a bad experience. I want to love this place but the service and/or food is always bad. Tonight’s experience was food being delivered without french fries (after a longer than normal wait time for food on a down Wednesday night). We were through eating and still had no French fries. We paid $8 for 1 crab cake appetizer, $8 chicken tender sandwiches with no fries & $16 for very acidic (too much lemon) shrimp scampi.

This is more than a "grill"! This is a very trendy restaurant with a pretty diverse menu. The service was superior and the food was excellent. It has a bar and it offers happy hour but only if you sit at the bar!

Ok, I travel the SE and have for a decade and I love trying new places. Some good, some not-so-good. This one gets my great rating! He's why, not only was the food good, but it was priced right! I had the swordfish lunch entree which was perfectly cooked, came with delicious mashed potatoes a warm slaw. Price, hold onto your boots, $11.99. NOW THAT'S VALUE! I highly suggest you try them out. I'm very confident you'll leave with a satisfied palate and plenty left in your wallet. The service was great too! Katie was my server and she was like a ninja, showing up out of no where right when I needed something. Have fun and enjoy!!

The Grill is my "GO TO" for EVERYTHING!! Client luncheon? Grill. Happy Hour? Grill. Birthday Party? Grill. New Year's Eve? Grill. The managers (especially Terry & Margaret Mary) go out of their way to make you feel at home. I am one of the pickiest eaters of all time (challengers accepted!!), and they did not have anything on the menu that would work for me. What did they do? CREATED me a custom veggie plate!!

I really want The Grill to be one of my favorite places. The menu is great, but in my two years back in Starkville there is no observable effort toward quality control, from servers to the kitchen. Nothing is bad, but nothing is good either. My last visit I took out of town guests and entrees came out before salads, for a table of 8 it took 3 trips over 10 minutes for all entrees to make it to the table, and the goat cheese salad had no goat cheese. I don’t want to give 2 stars but 3 stars feels too generous.

Service was terrible, food came out wrong, they completely forgot one of our party's food and it took 25 min before they received it, they forgot two sides, took 20 min for water, 30 min for a drink, found floating debris in one of the mimosa flavor containers, couldn't see a detailed bill, never got a receipt (still not sure if the bill was actually correct), the whole experience took almost two hours and that's not because we were talking they were that slow and it wasn't busy. This was probably the worst dinning experience I've ever had and I'm almost 40.... needless to say I'll never be back

Third time here, first time outside. Ask to sit upstairs on the balcony and enjoy your cocktail. Nice breeze. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles at Sunday brunch. The five layer chocolate cake looked delicious, but they're want any room for it after brunch. Maybe next time.

Atmosphere: 4 out of 5. Nice and dark, makes it seem private. Steak: 2.5 out of 5. For what they're charging, it's nothing special. A little dry, and had to douse it in steak sauce. Service: 3.5 out of 5. Not horrible, not great. Has the feel of something great, but doesn't quite achieve it. You can get better bang for your buck somewhere else.

Service was good and the food came out fast, but that is about all the positives of my final visit to The Grill. I ordered the Caribbean ribeye medium rare and it came out rare. That isn't a big deal for me, but others might not be as forgiving. The loaded baked potato was tough and relatively flavorless besides the small amount of toppings that made it "loaded". My fiance's grilled pork chops were honestly flavorless, even with the apple chutney on top. The two bone-in pork chops she received were cooked decently, not dry, but definitely could have been taken off the grill sooner. Hands down our two meals were 100% not worth the price. Of my 5+ visits to The Grill, my take away every time has been that the food is not worth the price, not even close. All the issues I have had with The Grill have revolved around the kitchen not the service. The wait staff has always been above average. Sadly, I can say that this visit will be my final one. I can no longer attempt to justify the price for the quality of food.
