Here you will be able to see all the information of real people who consumed the services of Back Bay Buffet (Restaurant) in Mississippi.
At the moment this business receives a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 928 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an reviews average is really positive, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Buffet restaurant.
We got there a little after 3pm. They soon closed down for lunch to open for dinner the host was really nice about letting us know.
Great food and wonderful service!
Loved it, service was great, food was excellent, everyone was smiling , great place to relax and enjoy
Stake & lobster on Thursday night ummm
Not the same. Food wasn't good. But the crab legs was delicious. This hotel needs an upgrade.
Food was very good and they have a vert large selection.
Delicious food here! Had a wonderful time
Excellent! As a local we will be back soon!
They have a lot of choices in food at this buffet depends on what you get as to were it is good. Check out all of the different food station first before making you selection. Different food stations have the same food but prepared different.
Great food great service always
A great place to eat
Very nice employees
Friendly staff, food delicious...
Love the variety. My girl Misty hooks up a mean Veggie fresh omelet, always remembering my order each time. Staff believes in customer service.
Always a great place to eat. Food is always hot and seasoned well. my complaint is our waitress. She never refilled our drinks or cleared the table.
The buffet was good. They serve brunch on Saturday. Kids 5 and under eat free. There were many options.
It was Our Anniversary that We were celebrating at The IP for the weekend. First time coming to that casino. We also invited Our son and Daughter in Law. They enjoyed themselves also. Great Service!!
We might have enjoyed it if not for the fact that as soon as we paid and sat down to eat, after telling the lady we paid that my brother HAD EATEN at the Atra Convention that he attended and paid $250.00 to attend. However my husband and I are recovering from back injuries so my brother was pushing our Mum's wheelchair. So we I paid for my Mum and My and my husband's food and barely got our plates fixed and sat down and my Mum asked my brother to bitter her cornbread roll. So an Asian lady walked over to us haranging in a language we could not understand. I finally made out the word receipt. Which we could not seem to locate and the lady became furious. She ran away and I ate two bites of food. What I was really wanting to do was dive into the chocolate cake I had on the table however the cashier came over and started telling us she had to see our receipt which ended up being stuck under my Mum's plate, by my Mum who has Dementia. After we located the receipt and gave it to the cashier who I KNOW recognized us as paying her fifteen minutes before. She then started telling us we did not pay for my brother's meal, my brother was not eating. I had explained that to her. She kept on and on and I have no idea what she wanted from us. It felt like reverse discrimination to me. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at us. My brother got up and left hoping we could then eat in peace. However the cashier still kept droning on. I was furious. I felt sick so I told her fine I will leave too and allow my precious 70 plus year old Mum to eat in peace with my husband however she kept on and my husband contacted security who made them refund our money in full. God bless the security guard. I will NEVER go back to IP again!!
Food was awful. Cookies was so hard that l couldn't eat it.
Best crab legs! And biggest best buffet!
Food was average. It use to be very good. Not anymore. Also, it's ridiculous how expensive it is and you have to pay extra for the crab legs. It's more ridiculous they weigh them. Besides that, they were cold. Management really need to do a retake on this. We spend a lot of money in these casinos for them to be that stingy with the crablegs. Also, the machines are too tight!
So so, definitely need to improve
Except for the crawfish not being as spicy as usual, it was really good
It was great however the cashier said, you can't give the crablegs back or get a refund. I didn't understand at first but quickly realized past customers may have tried that or even tried to take them home. Very funny
Back Bay is in the IP hotel and casino Biloxi MS the food is Awsome
Love, love, this buffet. The fried chicken was the best! The prime rib wasn't as good as it usually is. Salad fresh veggies, The bread pudding is the best. Great food all around.
Amazing selection! Everyone was so attentive too. Even though it was the middle of lunch, I didn't have to wait in any lines and when I needed someone to cut or scoop something, they were on it before I opened my mouth. Very relaxed and professional.
Omg the seafood buffet is amazing
Everything and everyone was nice , and we enjoyed it.
Great value for the price. Let's just say I am stuffed. I wish they'd bring back the all you can eat crab legs. But you can get a bucket for $7.99. Honestly it's still definitely worth it. I would have given it a five-star but due to the fact we had a very lazy waitress, I couldn't do that.
Really good food, fairly large selection. Desserts are especially good. Biggest drawback is it is in my opinion fairly overpriced. Three adults and a child for dinner will run you 85 bucks. The food is good if not great but in no universe is it worth 85 bucks.
Was once the best casino buffet on the coast, but that is no longer the case. The crab legs were the best thing there but they've taken that away and you have to go on weekends just to pay extra for crab legs. Even the other items have seem to slowly disappear. There used to be long wait lines and it was worth the wait. No one goes here anymore and you don't have to wait to get a sub par buffet at a high price
Everything was awesome steak cooked perfect, crab legs awesome best lobster tail ever
A solid eating experience. The smoked Pork Belly was off the hook!!! The brunch was nice with good food for the taking. A bit more attention to overall flavor combinations and some seasoning and it would be a 5 star.
Excellent service and buffet. Fried chicken and crab legs excellent.
Like the rest fair at the best
Prime rib was tough. Catfish mushy inside and tasted muddy. Shrimp was good.
The food was very good. The servers was very attending to our table with ice tea. The Buffet on Friday is Crab Legs fried fish shrimp and cat fish. A lot to choose from. It is in my opinion is a very good place.
Breakfast buffet was not worth the price, the eggs were runny and the bacon burnt the waffles were not freshly made. The dinner buffet was better.
Arrived right when the dinner buffet started and hot items, like the fried shrimp, mac n cheese, and over cooked broccoli were cool. This place is 1 step up from the Palace Buffet down the road, which is being generous. Sad to report the best item is fried chicken that tasted much like my local grocery store chicken in NC. I don’t eat this much chicken back home. The other good items were at the Asian bar, and the best dessert from presentation and taste was a rich fudge brownie. The pecan tart was much like cracking open a pecan from a tree, bitter aftertaste. The coffee was terrible, the same as at Palace Buffet. Throw it away! You’ll find better coffee at the coffee station inside the casino. The dessert guy was short on patience when asked about the unrecognizable items, like the blueberry “canned” cobbler. Overheard a lady two tables over asking for the supervisor after two staffers working the salad bar ignored the waiting customers. Before leaving the table, I had to pull out the Tums. Looks like Beau Rivage is the winner so far for the best buffet experience.
Good fresh food, friendly server, very good.
Seems like the quality has gone down over the years. Meats were good, but sides were bland and boring. Not worth the price anymore. I did a survey and received a phone call to follow up. Seems like they value customer feedback. Hoping they will improve food quality and customer experience!
It was the greatest place to eat..never seen one that great. Food was the bomb....My husband felt spoil..Was great......
Horrible! After having to pay for crab legs (1.5#) they were either over or under cooked. All the food was horrible..but the desserts were visually delightful. Never going back and have steered friends away letting them know to go somewhere else.
The food was delicous but when it was time for dessert the food was very plain and unenjoyable . Even the whipped cream was plain. Overall i enjoyed it and am looking to go back. BTW i am 11.
An excellent buffet with a wide range of themes to choose from at every meal. Lots of ways to reduce to overall cost of a meal: B-connect points, military service, and more. Check the website for more ways to enjoy your dining experience.
Delicious!! Great variety, fresh foods. Dungeness crab legs seasoned to perfection
Great food, great service.
Great service and quailty
Saturdays buffet was good however the meat I had gotten at the carving station was pretty much inedible. It was like trying to chew rubber. However the Sunday buffet was excellent at lunchtime as the prime rib was cooked just right.
Excellent, good food and service.
great food and service
Good buffet especially for breakfast.
Not good. No one was at the meat section to hand out turkey or sausage. The fish choices were dry and HARD. Not much in the way of selection either. The same stuff from one section to the next.
Great food an service
Wide selection and good price. And 20% veteran discount.
It's a pretty standard low quality buffet. I went in the morning the best thing I had was the hashbrowns very yummy. Everything else was dry or tasteless to me. Then we only got to see our waitress once all I wanted was some ketchup it took 15 min just to get that. But the people working there are friendly to be honest. You can tell they don't hate their job. I think our lady just forgot and those things happen.
Its pretty good. Mildly seasoned. Pancakes a little weird. Sweet waitress. And people at the serving line... the omelette station is a nice touch
Best customer services, I prefer dinner over lunch, the staff really care and makes a big difference!
Service is great food need improved
I enjoyed the food and customer service, can't wait to visit again!
Paid extra money for rib eye steak that was very rare, though ordered medium. Flavor was non existent! Chef/grill person seemed to have an "eat it, or just throw it away " attitude. Rest of the buffet was equally unimpressive.
Great food! Service was wonderful! Enjoyed our day..
Food was hot and fresh.. It was a great atmosphere!
The food was good but all the white people was lookin at me Sterling (racist)
$85 for 3 people!!! And it was aweful,we thought it included snow crab legs! NO the waitress said that was $7.99 per person. It was same quality as Picadilly or worse. NEVER again!!!!
Food was better than reviews i saw but still quite average for a supposedly upscale buffet
Food was good but would have liked a little more seafood variety.
Always a great selection... Great prime rib
I'm loving it
Worst Chinese food ever. Even the soy sauce was not good. The Southern choices were fair but not the best. The service was good enough. This was the SEAFOOD night and I couldn't even locate the snow crab legs. For the price it was disappointing. Wouldn't go back unless it was free. The mashed taters were awesome though...
The lunch was great
One of the best casino buffets in Biloxi! Lots of variety.
Food could have been hotter, but overall it was decent. I just don't like luke warm food.
I have been eating here for years. It seems as the price gets higher the quality gets lower. This is one of the worst buffets.
Good choice of different cuisines and homemade ice cream and desserts!
I've been coming to this buffet since my childhood-- over 10 years. Believe me when I say it is a shell of what it used to be. Crab legs are no longer included, but available for an extra $8. The variety on the buffet is good, but the quality definitely leaves something to be desired. The shrimp, Asian cuisine, and carving station are decent. The desserts are not nearly as good as they used to be, and the coffee machine never seems to work anymore. Overall the food is fine, but not as good as you'd expect for the price (~$30).
Anything you wanted to eat, they prepared.
Great food and service
The food was terrible tonight. Granted, we arrived 27 minutes before closing time (By the way, what kind of restaurant, especially in a casino, closes at nine o'clock?). But that's no excuse for the taste and temperature of most of the food. I hurried to make two plates just in case they began to close down the buffet before I had a chance to go back for more food. Sadly to say, I didn't even eat most of the food that I got. It just was not appealing. we used to eat here often, but it seems to have gone down. We've got another food comp for next month, so we will try it again. But I'm not going to get my hopes up.
It was ok we were only seen to once and they gave me crab instead of lobster but the crab was pretty good i am only upset about the sevice really because we pretipped generously. Won't be doing that again. But we will be back for the good food eventually.
Everything was good,, except the lobster and crawfish. The lobster , It was like chewing bubble gum. The crawfish was way over boiled. The tails just fell apart when peeling out the shell.
The food hot and fresh, more selection great food for the price, good service
Great food selection, dessert not so much
It was decent. Nothing to write home about.
The food and service was good.
Great food and variety!
Great food, loved the breakfast, mid-range prices $$
Great variety of food and good servers, both buffet line and tables.
Service was excellent but food was cold.
Looking for breakfast buffett.stated on line 7 to 1030am..12.99.go there it was 22.oo and 15.00 for kids.did not know, because there was no sign or anything to indicate it was brunch and not breakfast on this one day every week.after paying 80.00.the food prior to eatting.it was cold ,the eggs tasted like powder.had to spit the keish out it was so discusting.with fruit in season it was bitter and sour.the bacon was plastered together could not get one piece had to get 5.the apple cobbler was not even sweet and the icecream tasted funny.the eggs Benedict the egg tasted funny.may be bad sitting under a heat lamp.after trying all that was severely nauseated the smell.of the other food made the thought of trying anything else was not appetising.grand kids for 15 only ate a few pieces of fruit trying to find a good one.one melon one cantaloupe and one pineapple.one roasted bell pepper.the tea was so over sweet it was syrup but no pancakes or waffles to.pour it on.grandson ate bacon and bowl of grits... Does not warrant 30.00 for theirs.will never return.discusting.and I'm a fat kid and eat anything.
Food tastes old
Love their Buffet!
Awesome family friendly
Fantastic! I always stay at Harrah's and we had eaten at Back Bay several times a while back and it was horrible! Now its totally changed. It's worth a retry.
The buffet is $30 on Sunday including a tip. It’s nothing more than a low-quality Chinese buffet with more shrimp. They have snow-crab legs. But they charge you $7.99 more for those. I left feeling very upset at how much money I spent based on what I got. The Palace Casino buffet is close by, and it’s cheaper, much cleaner, and has more/better options. I would recommend going there instead of here.
High quality of food adequately prepared
Unhappy. I came to celebrate my birthday. Say I had to play $25 to get voucher for birthday buffet. So the buffet not free. I can only do the crab cakes legs. $7.99. it just me. So I got the bucket. Couldn't eat them all. The soda tasted nasty. So I began to take left over crabs back to my room. The dinning room manager said I couldn't, I was like I paid for them. They didn't come with the buffet. Say all food have to stay here. I said I guess you going to dump theses back in the pot and resale them. I didn't want to make a big issue. But I want be eating at the IP any more.
The food was excellent and the service was also
Used to be our go to buffet in Biloxi. The quality has been consistently declining for the last 2 years.
Best Buffet on the coast lots of variety including Alaskan
Oh my goodness, I feel the pounds rolling on when I eat there. You just wanted to try a little bit of everything. Don't even get me started on the dessert bar. Indulge a little.
Good Food not expensive great family friendly...
Great food quality and selection. Best red beans and rice outside Nawlins!
Lots of good food
We enjoyed the lunch and dinner buffet. I wasn't keen on the breakfast scrambled eggs because they were too moist. My family ate and enjoyed everything.
Good food nice staff
Not bad. Good variety.
It's got cool game
Great food.
I always love going to the Back Bay Buffet at the IP. Great food, clean and always fresh. Our server wasn't very good this time but usually they are very good. Looking forward to going back in May for my free birthday buffet.
Love the food and the atmosphere.
Just a little noisy...The waiter did not ask if I wanted any more tea. But the food was very good and also the price was good..
Worst food ever..OVER priced dried out over cooked food.. Could of eaten at McD..and gotten better Food.
It was clean, but way too expensive for quality. Nothing tasted the way I expected it-- gravy tasted like sausage with no evidence of actual sausage. French toast tasted like burnt flour. Servers were nice. If you pick and choose what you get, there's decent food for not having to leave the casino.
Food is great! But I think the prices are a little high for the buffet on Sundays.
Nice Buffett located in the Ip casino....employees great....awesome food but a little steep in prices..
Great food and line went fast
Too much delicious food to eat! Wide variety to choose from. Friendly staff and clean environment. Hot food correct temperature and cold items nice and chilled. Mimosa delightful.
Staff are friendly and food is good. Reasonably priced at $16.00 for lunch buffet.
The food is always great here. Love the crab legs
Food is always fresh & so much to chose from on their buffet.
prime rib too tough to eat. fried shrimp too salty uneatable most foods I got couldn't finish not good my wife's opinion is the same not good
Very good for lunch
As good as any other buffet.
this place was literally disgusting! AND WELL OVER PRICED! I BELIEVE RYANS BUFFET IS A 5 * NEXT TO THESE GUYS! I'm only giving it 1* because I cant give it a zero!
Awesome Buffet. Lots of choices from the salad bar, through the pasta station, to the deserts area. The mult-national food stations ensures satisfaction.
Great variety of good food
Can't go wrong with fresh seafood...
Five old friends and I enjoyed the buffet and fellowship. Food was great and the company was fantastic
Great seafood and great variety
Great food anything your heart desires all type of food unlimited Buffet
Some of the food was good. Some was a little dry. Was very busy today.
Breakfast buffet is my favorite, but the lunch and dinner are good too!
It was okay. Bought a bucket of crab legs for my granddaughter and myself. Food is not like it used to be. Enjoyed the pho
The food was fresh! The waitress was really nice
Traveling to biloxi is my favorite pastime. Their buffet is good, not excellent.
Food was very delicious. Crableggs was full of flavor. Price with carbblegs 24.95 now that was just what I was looking for. Do not miss out if you are in the area and want a good lunch.
Wasn't told at the register that the crab was extra. That's why we came. Remember a bunch of folks from out of town don't know how you operate. Inform the people at the register. Pretty pricey but food wasn't bad. Dessert cakes were old and hard. All in all an O.K.experience.
Got there at 945am for Bfast buffet that was scheduled to end at 1030am. The scrambled eggs were good. Limited choices and mostly lukewarm, with nothing special. Probably won't stop there for breakfast again
It was good the food was excellent what you need after a long bus ride and playing slots.
First of all I ate at this restaurant more than 30 times. And I had a meal at every hotel in Biloxi. Two years ago, it was a restaurant where I want to give a 4 star. But now I think it's a 3 star restaurant. Many people visit here to eat seafood. But I don't think many people will find it in the future. People who eat free meals will keep looking. If you want all you can eat seafood, there are other hotels nearby. You should look it up.
Good, but can be better. While visiting the area we went to most of the Casino buffet's. Many Casino's offer compensations to eat free, as does IP Casino. The food itself was decent, but seemed somewhat bland. Not much of a crowd at the time of visit which can also influence taste as the food tends to not be refreshed as quickly as when they are busy. Staff was friendly, atmosphere seemed a little on the cold side. Overall average when comparing to other buffets.
This place had a 4 star review from me 6 months ago. But the experience I just had didnt even deserve a 1 star paid 50 bucks for 2 people to eat and we couldn't even get 1 plate of food in us it was so nasty. There buffet has gone down immensely in the past 6 months would not recommend it to anybody especially with how expensive it is.
Food was great. Excellent choice from multiple styles. Service was efficient, never had an empty glass. Dining area was spacious yet warm and inviting.
One of the best buffets on the coast.
Good food and great staff
People were nice and attentive
