From outdated decor and robot-like waitress - I will never go back to this place, not one waitress or employee in there smiled back at me, not even the customers. We tried it for breakfast wondering what all the hype was about? And it was nothing but overpriced greasy food and the place was filthy dirty disgusting with mis-matched utensils and dishes. Will definitely try the restaurant next-door for breakfast - at least over there all the employees look like a happy bunch who enjoy being in the service industry.

Food is higher priced so I expected to get higher quality food. It's a larger portion, but nothing that other dinners don't offer. Both myself and person with me got omelets which come with hash browns and toast. Omelets we're both dry and overcooked but the hash browns we're undercooked and greasy. Only thing good was fast service and hot coffee with plenty of refills, but for $2 a cup I would expect that. Wouldn't come back.

We had the special which was the Ham Sandwich Deluxe with fries (fried ham with cheese, bacon, and fried onions on a bin) for under $9 and the piece de resistance - LICORICE ICE CREAM! We purposely stopped in Garrison for a now defunct ice cream shop that always had the elusive licorice. Oh and homemade apple pie. Yummy....

First visit here on our way North. There were 20 of us but the cafe had ample seating even at lunch. Service was fast and friendly and no one left feeling hungry. Sizeable menu with lots of comfort food.

Service was fine, but if you’re looking for anything homemade go elsewhere. Canned mushrooms on French Dip - barely warm - cheese wouldn’t even melt. Pre-made burgers and pork tenderloin. Mediocre at best.

I've driven thru Garrison hundreds of times, but never stopped to eat here or even knew this gem was here! The place was empty when we arrived. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and came to check on us at appropriate intervals. We both had the bacon cheeseburgers and fries. Try the place out! FYI: - the pop, you get 1 refill, for a medium size glass ($2.50), I thought that was kind of high, but the burgers were great, and I don't mind supporting a small business. - Burgers/fries were $9.95 each. -ample parking out front -Beautiful view from our seats -They don't take American Express. -They have a few stairs AND a ramp, to their restaurant. -they have ice cream, but we didn't have any. -I didn't read any reviews before eating here

A cozy, small town, comfortable spot to eat home style cooking. The atmosphere is pleasant and congenial where almost everyone knows each other and if they don't they are welcoming anyways. My waitress was nice and helpful. I ordered the Denver omelet and a short stack of pancakes. All was tasty. The pancakes were hearty & delicious.

Had the fish lunch on Friday. Mashed potatoes were instant, fish was apparently a triangle from Frozen package. And the crackers were stale that came with the soup. Requested soup instead of vegetables and had an upcharge on that. The food was edible but not by any stretch of the imagination great

Every spring for years now, our group of 10+ stop in here for breakfast on our way to Walker’s Leech Lake area for a 4 day fishing trip. There has “never been” a disappointing plate of food. The waitresses are always friendly and courteous. The clean cozy restaurant is always a welcome first stop for this metro area group.

Solid diner/cafe. French toast was nicely done. Cheese omelet was good, not great. Hashbrowns were good. Coffee was middle of the road, typical diner coffee, it did the job. Service was great, they were attentive and the food came out fast. Bill was $20, including tax for 2 to eat, not bad. Overall I would make this a regular stop if i lived in the area.

Thought $30 for breakfast for two was a bit steep. I substituted my toast for a pancake and was told there would be an up charge. $2.75 for one pancake that was the size of a dessert plate and just as thin??!! Ridiculous. Food was good and served fast, but typical breakfast food that any cafe offers. Will plan to look for other options when in the area again.

Very nice little small town restaurant known for breakfast. My wife had steak and eggs and was really happy and said her hash browns were excellent and said the whole meal was the best she had had in years! I had the hot beef sandwich which was also very good. We will go again next time we are in Garrison.
