REVIEWS OF Republic IN Minnesota

Debbie Mortensen

Republic is not my kind of bar. We came here because my son in law drinks beer, knows beer, and can tell you the beer's origins blindfolded with nose plugs. However, I was very pleasantly surprised how accommodating everyone at Republic was. Jay, our bartender, took great care of us. The Milwaukee Buck's playoff game came on at 6:00, and I was accommodated in Republic's back room. (See my photo) Republic is an excellent bar with a great selection of beer.Photo of Republic - Minneapolis, MN, United States. The room was crowded when I first sat down. I have a special gift.

Julie Overbey

This is a review on the airport location: Great food and staff! Honestly the first time I’ve liked anything served in an airport.

Johanna Schmidt

Republic is one of my favorite restaurants/bars on West Bank. The atmosphere is nice because although it’s close to the university, it is not full of drunk undergrads. They have phenomenal cheese curds (and yum yum sauce!) and lots of good vegetarian options as well. My roommate and I would go regularly during their happy hour, and the staff recognized us and even our orders! It can be a bit expensive, so keep that in mind, but they do have specials in the evenings. Their beer is great and changes seasonally, which is cool. If you’re there in summer, definitely check out their patio in the evening.

Matt Berg

definitely the best happy hour deals in the area. Loved the selection and the deals! The fries are the best! They are the actual potatoes that are cut and seasoned. The burger was a steal at $5. I can not recommend this place enough! Definitely my favorite spot in the area. I may benefit by being a weekend worker and going out during the week to have the best deals, but it is amazing.

Drew Anderson

One of the best beer bars I've been to and the food is above average.

Fangze Li

Came during happy hour. The outdoor seating area was very nice. Delicious burgers and a good selection of drinks. Oh and their prices are great! One friend asked for water and the waitress got all of us water :) taking people there again tonight!

Will Garner

Always have wide selection of beers!

Seungmo Sung

Great variety of mn beers. Their beer flights are great for trying out different beers at a fair price.

Edward McMurray

Great beer list, but wish they offered a bit more in the way of wines

Ron Bearden

Got orders to go. Everyone loved their burgers. Had the Wisconsin Cleanse Diet burger and it great. Good fries. Ketchup is house made but not to my liking. I appreciate the effort though.

Adrianne McMahon

Decent food.

Paula Derickson

Wait staff was helpful and friendly with our large group. Beer of the day was delicious! Thanks for a great meal!

Sherri Turner

Fun place to go with co-workers and friends

Kevin Martin

It's all about who you bring with you.

Dave Summers

The beer list was extensive with great selections. The food was great, my walleye poboy was fantastic and the outdoor seating really made the dinner a memorable experience.

Zachary Smith

Good beer selection with great deals, especially Minnesota Mondays ($4 on most Minnesota beers, and they have a lot). In the early evening, service was quick and it wasn't too loud.

Shaleen Meyer

The best veggie burger I've ever had! The quinoa mushroom burger was the best for texture and taste, and whatever they spice it with tastes great. Almost 100 taps, nice historic looking place with a good atmosphere. Open late!

Tim Wavinak

Very nice and helpful employee's, quick service, great menu and food! Nice atmosphere! Always seems peacefull. Great place for meetings, and have conversation. A good place to take a date!

Shevon Quijano

We stopped in here for a flight of beer and loved the atmosphere. Cool patio seating to sit and have a drink in the shade. The food that other people was eating looked good. Would like to go back and EAT!

Ciera Paskett

I love this Restaurant they have great foods and drinks. The staff is very friendly and mindful. They also have a cool ambiance and music. The service is not that bad at all no regret. I Highly recommend this if you want to have a good time.

Robert Witt

I ate there three times, during my two weeks in MSP. They have a very nice beer selection. The food is quite good, as well. I love stouts and Imperial Stouts. Republic has some outstanding ones. Foodwise, I enjoyed their 4 Cheese Mac & Cheese, the Brie & Truffled Mushroom Burger, and the Pulled Pork Tacos. They were all delicious. The service is friendly and efficient. I look forward to going back.

Erin Baker

We were in town and went for brunch with friends that live nearby. Cute place. Every employee was friendly and service was prompt. Food was delicious, even all the kids ate.

Liberty

Awesome burgers!!

Zander Walker

Unless you think the world revolves around you or think a bar is a perfect fit for for your alcohol allergy, Republic is a great spot. Patio is awesome when the weather permits.

Kurt Leichtle

First visit, very good. Varied beer and cider list. Menu bit on spicy side but reasonable

Maddie Schafer

Trivia on Tuesday nights is a fun time!

Philip Gissen

Kathleen Solberg

This is my new favorite place for pub food! They have a small but varied menu with reasonable prices. I recently ate here with two friends; they had the fish and chips which they said was delicious. I had the blackened walleye. It was stupendous! Republic doesn't have domestic beer but a wide selection of craft beers. The service is perhaps the best I've experienced anywhere! The staff was friendly yet not intrusive. After dinner it was pouring rain and very windy, and my friends, who are elderly and blind, didn't want to take the walk back across the street to the parking ramp. A staff member found them chairs inside while I fetched my car. When I pulled up to the door, the staff member had been waiting with them, and she escorted them to my car. What amazing service! This place is wonderful.

Mike Klinker

Food and service was great.

Daniel Randolph

Good beer, good wings, good service...what more do you need.

Fade Manley

Loud but friendly with fast service and great happy hour options. Their wide selection of beers makes them a great place to hang out at with a bunch of work friends, and their happy hour tacos were fantastic.

Michael Anderson

I'm late to the party, I know. I've walked by the MSP Airport location many a time, without giving any thought to the original Seven Corners location. On a recent date night, my wife and I figured we'd give it a try. What a great idea. The beer selection was outstanding, the craft cocktails were memorable, and the food was excellent (with one hiccup). Our waitress was attentive and made our (short) kid-free night great. The buffalo wings were a step above normal bar fare, and the brisket dinner (after getting a re-do from the kitchen) was quite good, as were the sides that came with it. Our first plate of brisket was a bit overdone, but our waitress quickly made it right. The cocktails we had, which were made with locally-produced Spruce Soda, were certainly top notch as well. Overall, we found Republic to be a great spot for food AND drinks, which isn't always an easy task. Maybe I'll need to stop by the airport location one of these days...

Ellery Carr

Great selection of beers, good burgers.

Akina Khan

love the outdoor seating and great selection of beers

Danny Russell

Great beer bar. Happy hour fish tacos are the best

Keith Coupland

Flat beer, undercooked burgers cold fries and bad attitude from the staff when u complain

Gwendolyn Kidder

Great place time and time again. High quality burgers. Fun times at trivia. And always a fan of Liftbridge root beer

Shelly Fern

More progressive menu and creative inexpensive cocktails.

Andrew Nordstrom

Excellent beer bar. Easily one of the best in the metro. The menu had a good range of styles and had a few hard to find brews. The food was typical bar fare.

Adam Dwyer

Service ain't great, foods pretty good, drinks on deck!

daniel anderson

Great place

Sparse Runner

Drank two excellent beers and ate a rice bowl dish which was high on texture but low on flavour and oddly lukewarm.

Collin Malaney

One of the best selection of beer in the cities. Parking can be tricky but if you park down past Bullwinkles there is free 1hr parking. Great patio and excellent happy hour food and beer deals. Look for their tap takeovers and ask for special guest taps.

Anthony Carter

The food and beer was pretty good here, but I came on a Monday because they listed online specials on their menu until closing. The waiter told me that he didn't know anything about that. I pulled out my phone and showed him their website and even after checking with a manager, they still would not honor the online specials (he said it was because they used an old template that they hadn't updated). I mean for crying out loud, just give me the posted special!

Ali Bodensteiner

Great outdoor patio area to eat or have a drink. This location has a happy hour on Monday's that you can get Minnesota craft beers for a cheaper price, which is kind of fun! I hear their bloody mary's are good too.

Ian Allen

This is a great spot for lunch or happy hour, and within walking distance from the university’s West Bank. They have an impressive tap list and the menu consists of typical pub fare. Their fries are delicious—extra salty and perfect with a beer. The fish or pork tacos they have on the happy hour menu are also great. I’ve been coming here off and on for the past five years and service is always attentive and friendly. The interior is lovely and has a lot of vintage charm—but in the summer you’ll definitely want to sit outside!

Jaime Deiman

Great beer and cider selection. Great food and BEST fries!

Steve Schmidt

Tacos were good.

Christine Wade

Really love their on tap cocktails, but wish there were a few more vegetarian options on the menu!

Jessica Wood

Outside seating and service was wonderful. I only had a beer and not food but the people i was with said it was good.

Leonardo Rander

One of the best burguers I’ve had in Minneapolis so far! Their fries and home made ketchup are amazing! Staff is also amazing! Shoutout to Dustin, Sarah, Jason and Makenzie!

Dane Brophy

A classy restaurant boasting a beautiful bar. Provides an eclectic list of beer, delectable food and friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. A must visit for any in downtown who enjoy craft beer and quality food.

Cameran Bailey

Ambiance: beautiful wood paneling and stained glass with no television and great music that isn’t so loud you can’t hear the people you’re talking with. There are 3 different rooms so you have variety in how you can use the space for an individual, a couple, or a group of people. Happy Hour: very affordable dual happy hour (4-6pm, 10pm-midnight) for drinks and really tasty food. Great mix of patrons, which is another reason I always enjoy this spot. Never know who you’ll meet, and the lack of televisions makes it easier and more likely to strike up a conversation with somebody. It’s right across a street from a hotel, up the street from the core of downtown Minneapolis, right of the light rail train, and next to the schools of law, public health, and public affairs, so people are here from all walks of life. Always over 100 beers on tap, so lots of variety from across the region, state, and country. Really tasty and affordable bar food that’s a couple dollars more expensive, but comes through in the quality.

Paul Willison

Great beer list and the special sauce with their fries is DELICIOUS!

Nathan Jelinek

At the Republic on a Tuesday night where they have Trivia at 8pm, which is always a fun activity for friends to go out and do. I didn't get any food, but their burgers and fries looked pretty tasty when others were getting them. Have a beer of the day which is cheaper than others, and have a great overall selection of all kinds of drinks. Good location right next to the light rail and the University just outside the city.

Alex Wright

Homemade ketchup is delicious, I ordered eggs Benedict and they gave me TWO delicious eggs (cooked perfectly) and biscuits and the craft lemonade was fantastic. Wish we had places like this in rinky dink nodak

Ryan Larson

We stopped in for fries and some drinks this summer and found it to be pretty lackluster. Everything was fine, just not a standout.

Oz Me

Good grill, beer options, nice patio.

Noele Miller

Fantastic flavors and lots of drinks to chose from

Matthew Gantz

Republic is a decent bar for those who like beer - their beer list is pretty solid, with a good amount of Minnesota brews on the menu. They have lots of space, so seating usually isn’t too much of an issue. They also have events throughout the week, so be sure to check on their social media or online in general to see if something is happening.

David Miles

This is a beer centric bar (but other drinks are available) in the 5 corners are of Minneapolis. It is walkable to US Bank and the West Bank side of the University of Minnesota. It has been a top 100 bar in America for several years in a row. Interior has retained the rustic charm of the old building and has a cool vibe. With nice weather, the patio is where you'll want to be as it perfect for conversation and people watching. The menu is solid, but not huge. On weekends, brunch is great.

Scott German

Visited twice in our 3 day trip. We will be back.

Andre Estevez

Great atmosphere, wonderful selection of beer and cocktails, plus good food and friendly staff. A wonderful place for a date or a night out with friends!

Tirzah McPherson

Kimchi fries and stiff drinks. Both totally worth it. The bugers disappointed though which made me so sad. They were cooked just utterly bland. Go for the drinks and apps skip the main fare and you will be pretty happy. Hang out on the large sidewalk patio for good people watching they have a prime corner spot.

Aida Miles

Friday night, very busy so very slow service.

Taylor Keate

Great beer selection and delicious food. Service was a bit slow.

Nikhil

Love this place. Their food is delicious and they have an ample beer selection from all over the world. Helpful staff too! I tried two different beers based on their recommendations and was pretty happy with both. Trivia on Tuesdays too.

Steve Jalbert

Quiet, laid back place with nice selection of regional brews. Food was spot on too. Would definitely come back.

Mike Cossette

Nice looking bar with an incredible list of tap beers and outdoor seating at a cool intersection. Horrible service. Bartender served me, but he clearly didn't want to, "go outside and ask a server". Then the server outside never showed up after the hostess sat me. After several minutes of waiting there I walked out.

Thomas Reinke

Amazing environment

Travis Bedard

Variety of foods and beers. Service is solid. They deal very easily with the high volume.

Madz Van

Different from when they first opened. Food is not as good.

Amelia Blise

Great location, amazing taps and food. I was however put off by the unfriendly male bartender. My friend and I sat at the bar for a drink and something to eat on a slow Friday night. I observed the bartender being very friendly to others but could care less about my friend and I.

larry erickson

Slow service, Hair in the food. Order messed up. The table edge curved down so drinks had to be put toward the middle of the table. Plus the food was average and cold. Fun times for the money.

Molly Hubbard

Wait staff and bar tenders are very courteous, attentive. Good food. Large beer selection

Eric Lake

The Republic unfortunately had to close in their location in Uptown; I loved their beer selection and food prices. The West Bank location is equivalent in quality. They have an excellent happy hour with drinks and food (the HH burger is one of the best burgers you can get for 6 bucks with fries). Definitely a great place to meet up with friends for happy hour or before going downtown, convenient location near the green line.

Dan Mason

Came for the renowned fried chicken sandwich, and it was okay but they definitely left it in the fryer too long and it was burned to the point of being black and it looked like we got the last fries because they were all about an inch long.

Greg G

So good. Cocktails were solid and the burger was top class

Michael Smith

Went to their airport location; Terrible service. Ordered drinks and an appetizer with our meal and after a 30 minute wait our waitress FINALLY brings our meals and drinks out together. When asked about the status of appetizer we got told it “takes longer to make” what!? Then why not put it in before our meals? No egg in the BELT sand which, when we told her the salad had ranch dressing on it instead of blue cheese like we ordered but the waitress said it was homemade and that’s why it tasted like ranch... Could not ever get our waitresses attention, service was slow, food was subpar, beer was good but I would not recommend to anyone nor will I be back.

Robert Muldoon

Typical but really great pub menu. Wide selection of beers - very large offering of IPA's! Then there's the tin ceiling - and those round stained glass windows!

Michael Ujifusa

Great food, drinks and one of the larger patios in MPLS

Kaitlyn Benson

The perfect place for a casual happy hour! The atmosphere is hard to beat. I definitely recommend trying the fries and the fish tacos. I would definitely be going back!

Dave Burton

Always a great place to stop with friends for a late snack and a beer - but don't forget to try the cocktail menu

Paul Knutson

I love the beer selection, and the happy hour is excellent, especially the burger. The building itself is worth checking out with the stain glass and solid wood bar.

Neil Hilborn

This spot is rad. Just drink the beer of the day, I don't care what it is.

Joe Allen

Some of the best food and happy hour in the city. Sad they cut their beer list in half, but still always a great selection. Patio and indoor seating.

Thomas Gergen

Nice beer selection, nice patio shaded patio. I had to pay for parking.

Diane Dembosky

Food was good, service was great. But too noisy and too expensive to be able to say it was a FIVE

Andrew Blakeborough

Nice place for a late night drink and bar food. The particular night I was there my date's food was overly spiced despite her requesting it not hot and they were out of the mead I'd wanted to try.

Neva Hubbert

Fantastic beer list, great service, awesome food, great happy hour deals, wonderful patio

Jessie Jarboe

Slow service, mediocre food, excuses over good service. Great ambiance. Clean. Better than other options in the immediate area... But just barely.

Paige Natzke

Great server, cool drinks. A bit spendy, but worth it.

Peacetoeveryone

Great job Michael. 5 stars

Jamin A

Expansive tap beer list, very good food with decent vegan options. Ambiance is good, soon lighting with lots of wood, but can be loud when busy.

Stuart Stocks

Sunday 6pm, Google did say “unusually busy”, but there is a limit to how long I can wait for beer, good bye.

Berna Glover-Lewis

It was very easy to get to and the atmosphere was very comfortable.

Aftermath LinoMn

Downtown for some final BB and this place did not disappoint.

Desiree Wright

Food is ok. Good happy hour specials and weekly specials, though. Also really nice and pleasant servers. The tables are sticky and the bathroom smells like pee, but what else can you expect from the proximity to campus. Will probably go back to enjoy trivia night and $5 cider, however last time I went they were out of three of the ciders on tap. Very disappointing.

Dave Giancristoforo

The duck burger is amazing. This place has the best service too!

Amelia Bolstad

One of the best tap lists in town! I ordered a flight and I'll definitely be back for more.

k e

Tacos = yum

Michelle Dobbratz

Good service, nice happy hour details, decent food. I'm not sure the burgers are the same quality they were a year or three ago. Bun disintegrated, tomato was tasteless despite being in season, and bacon was burnt. Fantastic homemade ketchup and really tasty fries. Good beer selection, but our pitcher of Fulton was warm. Plenty of seating on Saturday at 6pm. I remember a few years back having difficulty finding seating at nearly any meal time. If this were my only experience with this place, I would give them three stars, but I have too many good memories of getting great food here in the past, and so I'm hoping this one mediocre experience is not a sign that their standards are slipping.

Eric Richens

Great beer selection, food is really good. Awesome value during happy hour. Staff is friendly and helpful to boot.

Jacob Ulvi

I had Diablo Hash and a bloody Mary and they wrre both was really good. Service was good too. I am from out of town and I'd seek this place out again.

Bobby Ragoonanan

One of my favorite bars in town. Terrific beer list of local craft beers and beers from further afield, and delicious high end bar food. The burgers are to die for.

Joseph Ray

Great beer menu and happy hour food choices, friendly atmosphere, nice place to go for happy hour

Amy Esposito

Easy, local restaurant/bar close to the West Bank campus. Good weekend brunch, decent happy hour, dinner and drinks are great. The only thing less than great is the lunch variety, but they're never too busy during weekday lunch times.

Jen Damon

Great beer selection!

Nick Patterson

Great food and drinks

david bean

Solid beer options, food was delicious and reasonably priced for a metro bar

Barry & Tina Schwach

Been here a number of times. Normally I would give it 4 but dishes and speed of service not as good tonight.

Meril Mani

Just your basic good food, but rating it lower because they could have made the basics better. In my opinion

Travis Noll

They have my favourite local beer.

Jordan Sparks

Food and drinks are very good. Service tends to be terrible, though. Servers are either slow, incredibly rude, or both. Be prepared for long wait times. Make sure to double-check your bill. A popular tactic here is to charge you full price for food during happy hour OR for the server to ignore you until one minute past happy hour ends and then ask if you need anything else without warning about the price increase.

Martin Ostrem

Pretty good food, great beer selection and an amazing happy hour. It's a pretty sweet bar hit up late night!

Adam Mellerup

It seems no matter what time I come to this place if they're open I'm having a good time. Their beer selection is exquisite, and their food is always something to experience. The interior is a peeling darker in color but still vibrant in a way. Would recommend for the enlightened drinker or just the Casual eater looking for a bite. Thank you and goodnight.

dan erickson

One of my favorite places in the Twin Cities. You can't beat their happy hour prices or selection. They always have the best beer on tap in the Twin Cities.

Cory Allen

Ordered a lupulin citradilicious only half pour, keg was blown. Had never tried it before and the bartender didn't even offer the last pour to me. Ordered a Blissful which I've had multiple times. Oh well...

Grady Johnson

Extensive tap list and quite spacious. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Arpita Mulye-Thatte

Howz the food you ask, well we never got our food at all. We went here after our last fringe show in order to celebrate and were disappointed!!! Initially the server took our order and around 20ish minutes later said that he had forgotten to put it in! After ordering again and asking after another 20ish minutes... he said, he thought we had cancelled our order and mistook it for someone else’s who had cancelled thr order! The apology dint even feel like an apology!!! And all this when there was absolute no rush at all... with just a handful of tables to attend to. In addition to this, few of us got wrong food! We were a group of 20ish people and had specifically asked for seperate checks while Asking for a table, still they did not split the check and demanded a single payment!!! All in all none of us are goin here again!!!!

Surabhi Singh

Just went there for a happy hour with my friends. The weather was nice so we got to sit outside. The people are really friendly and the service is fast. The happy hour menu is very limited but it has beers starting at $3, and pretty decent ones. I got the Steel Toe Provider because I am most familiar with that. Overall, great place to hang out with friends when in big groups, especially during happy hour (4-6 pm everyday). It is almost a go-to place for students from Humphrey and West bank in general.

Andy Hill

They have great housemade sauces that give a twist on your normal ketchup and mayo. Good menu selection for both brunch and lunch+dinner, and great daily specials (especially the cider night). I tried a few of their ciders and spritzes, and I was most impressed with the grizzly pear cider. Would come back to get that drink on the occasion alongside some good bar food, particularly good tacos

Chris

Good but overpriced Nice beer menu, food is good. I like to come here to get a draft I cant get somewhere else. I grab a burger, get the bill and I'm reminded that maybe it wasn't quite so worth it to come here when other places offer something similar but at a different tab.

Cullen Lorsung

I do like this bar, especially the poutine and their brunch, but the bartenders are completely hit or miss. Between the sticky, dirty bar floor and the chance you'll have to endure your new best friend of all time,i just avoid the bar. Nice place otherwise with a good evening patio.

Nicole Mousadi

Did not enjoy our experience here. Sandwich was ok but dry. I ordered a side of "house made chips" but they brought fries, which tasted burnt/over fried. Terrible. Our server spoke to us once then disappeared, never saw him again. Had to stop several other servers to get help. Then they still charged me extra for the fries I never ordered. Terrible customer service. Food is subpar.

Bee Gill

Your new bartender is top notch: attentive and personable. He recommended the perfect beer for a thirsty traveler, and talked me into some excellent food. I'm coming back and bringing friends. Very cool place.

Chase Waldon

If you like to feel like your doing your server wrong by simply trying to order your food this is the place for you! She will get it for once you dance around to get her attention after she casually trots past you to fix her rat tail haircut. Drinks were good but the house ketchup tasted like tomato paste and nutmeg! pro tip ask for hinez and they will reluctantly give you just a dab....

Andrew Caddock

Who else in town has such great regular taps AND curates comprehensive tap takeovers?

Samuel Wagner

fav local eatery and tap list. trivia isn't for me, but seems popular. beautiful lighting. good service.

Jonh Carlbom

It was very clean easy to find

Mike Ruggles

Amazing selection of local craft beer. ~ 40 taps. Solid food menu.

Adam W. Dorris

Superb, ever-changing beer selection in a cool space, with a very nice food selection too. Oh, and cocktails on tap — fun! (But seriously, the beer.)

Tim Spangrud

The good: Happy hour is great. The food is good and cheap. Good selection of alcohol. The bad: The place smells like old beer right when you walk in. Can be loud at times. I was forgotten by the server.

Jason Hedlund

We came here for Imperial Black Friday event to drink lots of dark beer! Did not disappoint. Had a few of the happy hour food items as well and those were delicious!!

Dean Sirois

Hamburgers were just ok not great. very lean meat = very dry meat

Chuck Point

Great beer and food place, next to the Wes West Bank of the U of MN.

Evan Bursey

Great food. Great service.

Adam Biessener

Truly exceptional beer list, with great happy hour and late night deals (get the $6 happy hour burger. Trust me). Food is good but not exceptional for the price. I expect greatness from a $12 sandwich, and Republic is just good enough to not annoy me, not so good I recommend it for the food. Great patio, nice dining room. Parking sucks, but welcome to the west Bank.

Sarah Philippi

Fantastic place with great drinks and food, but it had a hard time accommodating our large group at times.

Cole Carter

Super basic menu & food. Wasn't impressed but wasn't disappointed considering I had low expectations going in. Probably a bit overpriced but it is a good location. Lots of people from the hotel and local students hanging out in here. Parking is a nightmare. Patio is perfect for people watching and sucking up some sun in the summer time. Probably a decent spot to stop before a nice walk along the river. Don't try the coffee, it's not very good at all.

Kat Adamiec

Walked in and it's seat yourself. Right away a busser was cleaning my table and the waitress had drink and food menus ready for us. She gave us time without feeling rushed but still checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The food is pretty good, my salad tonight was delicious! Crisp and flavorful. Very neat and classy bar atmosphere.

Greg Garritty

Had a nice lunch with some work colleagues. Food was very good and the restaurant was not too noisy. We were able to have a business conversation without an issue.

Forrest Gump

Great beer bar, but they need to change the bathroom situation. Originally had a men's and women's room, with room for 2 occupants each, at one time. They changed this to lockable unisex bathrooms, which reduces the bathroom occupancy to only 1 at a time. This causes backups, and a waiting line. Bad idea.

Sandra Mercado Azurin

The patio is great!!!

Levi Indvik

One of my favorite Mpls bars. Large beer menu, good food, and friendly bartenders!

Tracy Haugen

Food was great had the wings and pork nachos everything was hot and delicious. We sat outside and the service was really prompt. Great job done by all!

Heidi Omerza

Great food, drink and atmosphere!

Basia Minta

Great bloody Mary bar and great service! Come 1st thing Sunday morning right when they open up is my suggestion for brunch

Nato Coles

I've always liked this place, what with the excellent food and beer selection and overall vibe, but recently I had a wonderful experience that made me decide to leave a review. My wife and I threw our wedding party on a Saturday night, with a band on tour we love playing, and the next day we wanted an out-of-town friends wedding/post-rock-show brunch. We talked with them on the Thursday before, and then caught up again Saturday afternoon (there was a bit of missed-your-email action between the dates, but that was ENTIRELY on us, with our frantic wedding planning - Republic were very communicative and responsive). Sarah, their event coordinator, was SO helpful and friendly, as were all the coworkers we encountered with our moderately large group of 30-40 people. Although the menu for such an event wasn't the full brunch menu, it was a good and comprehensive brunch menu nontheless, and the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar was and is always top notch (available every weekend to my knowledge). I highly recommend Republic Mpls if you want to have a group of 20-50 friends eat delicious brunch and enjoy drinks/Bloody Marys... and I highly recommend them for a great meal and beers, period!

Tropical Adventure

The Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting.

Drew R

Selection is a lot smaller then it used to be, which means less variety. They still have a lot of local beers but I would probably stock mostly out of state beers since you can always go to the brewery and get a cheaper local pint then at a bar. If instate beers stick with bent paddle, forager, junkyard, drekker stuff. On the positive side, my wife and I enjoy the sour beer selection. And appreciate when there are mead choices as well.

jackie rosario

Great food ,lots of local brews. Poutine is off the hook(fabulous)

E Anderson

The food here is incredibly good. In conjunction with the atmosphere, this is a 5 star place. It does, however, get very busy around dinner/happy hour which definitely drags on service time and quality.

Katie Knauer

Great food and beer selection! Service was quick and friendly. Only thing they could use improvement on is the staffs knowledge of menu- i.e. info for people with food allergies.

Luis Alfredo Contreras Vasquez

They have an amazing selection of craft beers. The staff is friendly and there is a God vibe in the place. The food is good but a bit limited.

Julian Opificius

Wife and I often go there after a play at Theater in the Round, and have their late Happy Hour Angus burger and a glass of Rainmaker - absolutely excellent. Being...middle aged, shall we say, I don't always like the music that is played, but we still feel welcome there. Visiting the Republic is habit I don't regret, and have no intention giving up!

this is my very first time here, the burgers were great! They also have a pretty good selection of different kinds of beers. I definitely recommend the spot.

Food showed up cold, with hair in it and wasn't particularly good, waitress was oblivious and it was an effort to get her attention. Nothing really went right and the staff didn't seem to notice or care, or even apologize when it was pointed out to them. Wouldnt recommend, won't be going back
