I went to dinner here with my wife this past Saturday night. We ended up doing the Korean barbecue, which was pretty fun. We had the Dinner for Two, which consisted of cream cheese wontons, a wonton soup, a salad with a nice gingery dressing, and a bunch of different meats to grill on the in-table grill. It also had a bunch of condiments, including kimchee, green papaya, pickled jalapenos, carrots, daikon and cabbage. It was all very tasty! We really liked the teriyaki chicken breast, the spicy chicken thighs and the marinated pork. By the time we were done with dinner, we were stuffed. In addition to dinner, we each had a cocktail. I had an Orchid Jade (?) cocktail that was kind of sweet, but still tasty. It had a little bit of a grape kool-aid flavor at the end, just to give an idea of the flavor. My wife had a vodka gimlet up which she said tasted great. The bartender ended up making more than necessary for the glass, so she left the shaker to top off the drink, which was fun. Our server was Hunter. He was very quick to get our food out to us, and getting our drinks right away. Our only slight complaint was that when we were seated, they seated us right next to the door when there were a lot of places further in. Next time we will ask for a different table. It was a small thing, and did not make our experience bad. We will definitely be going back soon!

I wouldn't get the pad-thai again. Server left while eating and had to wait a half hour for them to get my tea and check. Nice environment so I didn't mind that much.

Orchid is amazing! They also have another location in white bear that is so good! My family loves them. The review saying that their experience ordering out took long is completely off par. They just opened and they’re working out bugs. This place is worth the stop. Give them a chance and make a stop for yourself!

Almost perfect and deserves a 4.5 stars but not quite 5. Highly recommend: Spicy Lemon Grass Chicken and Chow Fun. Saigon Singapore Noodles were a bit bland. I have not tried their Korean BBQ, where you do your own cooking aka all the work :) but will try it out next time. Also, do not sit in their booths with if you have more than 2 as they're really narrow.

Very yummy food. Came here with a big group so I got to sample lots of things: the egg rolls were great, and all of the chicken dishes were perfect—so tender! I agree with the review that the “spicy” dishes weren’t actually that spicy—they were still really good, no doubt they’d add more heat if requested. Service was very friendly and accommodating of our big group.

The Orchid Arden Hills restaurant is beautiful but the food and service are mediocre. I ordered a pot of hot Jasmine tea and the water temperature was like tepid tap water. The replacement teapot was not much better as the chintzy amount of tea leaves made for a very weak brew. My vegetarian meal had lots of eye appeal but the green peppers and red sweet peppers tasted rancid. When the original Orchid opened in White Bear Township years ago, the food was fabulous. My husband and I have recently eaten at both locations and will not return.

Very friendly staff. Nice clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Ample free parking. Large menu selections. There's an option to eat and grill your own meat at your table, which is unique. Food is average. Prices are slightly higher than you'd expect for some menu items. Spring rolls lacked flavor (no cilantro or carrots). Main dishes were very mild, despite at least one of them claiming to be "spicy".

This place has amazing food! The General Tso chicken is delicious and at level 6/+0 spiciness it had just the perfect amount of kick. Staff was super friendly. Would highly recommend!

The service was OK, but the waiter didn't want to change our grill when it was burned really bad. The food was bad, the meat was cut very thin and over marianted and overly sweet so it got burned really bad and not eatable. The "side dishes" was a joke, nothing like a traditional Korean side dishes. Over priced for most of the dishes, you can get better food and experience from other Korean BBQ restaurants!

We did the KBBQ, sides were very basic and not very good. Rice is extra for some reason with ordering the KBBQ option. Portions were small and not seasoned well. Not recommended for a place for their KBBQ. Hopefully their other menu options are better. Not sure I'll ever go there again though. Service was average.

Very good Vietnamese food. Although I haven't been to many Vietnamese restaurants I found it quite good. especially if you want very spicy food get the dishes "extra spicy".

Orchid Bar and Grill is located in a central busy area which makes it easy to get to. The restaurant is a Vietnamese restaurant but indicates that it is and/or does Korean BBQ however in my opinion, it's set up like Korean style BBQ but it is not Korean BBQ. We ordered the Dinner for 2 for $64.95. It includes wontons, salad, soup, rice, and 6 meats you can grill yourself. The side dishes are not your Korean side dishes, the sides provided to us consisted of carrots, cabbage, daikon, jalapeno and kimchi. Even though it was not Korean BBQ, I still thought the meat was really good and the Dinner for 2 made us pretty full. I give it 4 stars for customer service, location and food. However I knocked off a star just because it wasn't authentic Korean BBQ as indicated.
