Quality has gone down in recent years and, for $28 per person, I'd expect to be more satisfied after eating. Also, i have dairy allergies and there are vei few dairy free options (and no labels for dairy items). Service is great and waitstaff are super friendly.

There are always tons of choices at this buffet! And variety galore from soups, salads, fruits, Asian, seafood, American, and everything in between! Top it off with a visit to the dessert area and your set! There is no reason to leave this place hungry or dissatisfied. Have fun giving it it a try. You won't regret it. The service is quick with beverages to your table.

Brought my family here for mothers day by my wife's request. We've been coming here for years and have noticed a downward spiral of food quality and this visit is the last straw. All the food was bland, worst foods that I love that I couldn't even finish was a waffle and syrup and chocolate covered strawberries that my wife didn't want too. The syrup had this odd taste like the container it was in wasn't clean and just soaked up whatever flavor food was in in previously and the strawberries were warm and the chocolate tasted horrible. My kids who eat everything didn't even eat that much and finish anything they picked out. I even went to the chicken wild rice soup which has always been wonderful no matter what and it was even cold and tasted nothing like the tasty soup I had on many occasions before. From now on I will just go to country buffet and save some money because the food quality there will be the same or better, for $29/person I expected better quality. The only thing I enjoyed was everyone working was very friendly. I will never be back, even for seafood night which has also diminished in quality, I suppose management thinks they can get away with it because people still go there. Not sure why anymore but it can't last forever. ***Update*** Was asked to send comments to email, sent and haven't received any response. Not surprised

I was there on Nov 1st 2018 with my friend to see an event and celebrate a milestone birthday. This was the worst food I have tried to eat For the money I spent I didnt find one thing that I could eat. The quality and flavor were NONE! The turkey was almost as hard as a rock The turkey gravy was good. The potatoes were nasty and the brown gravy was overly salty and was tasting like a packet of gravy mix. The veg carrotts and green beans were dry! The roast beef stroganoff Hamburger helper tasted better The pork chow mein no flavor looks good But no taste same with the rice. The prime rib so chewy stringy The wild rice soap lack flavor was thick and too much flour bland Throw in some cooking wine dah! The desserts were cheap end junk Only the flan was edible but still not quality. The one chicken wing was good. The salad was ok. The pop was so carbonated it will make you have acid reflux all week. It had a bite to it and no taste. They cheapen it to save more money. I WANT TO TASTE POP The Arnold palmer ice lemonade was so sour... omg... A dinners nightmare!!! Bring back the quality! So discussed The service was terrible overworked older lady felt sorry for her. We could not and did not enjoy our one chicken wing and salad as we just tasted a teaspoons of other food items as described above. Never to return Old country buffet is better only one left in Burnsville Co rd 42. Save money Spare you the hunger pains of not finding Any taste here.

Depending on the date and time of your visit, you can have multiple experiences here. I believe during holidays, which serve all day without closing, the omelette bar closes at three. The omelette bar is thee best food at the entire buffet. The rest of the buffet is pretty consistent in offerings. The food quality is consistent, so you just have to jump around and find the foods that suit you. You should be able to find something for even the pickiest of eaters. Desserts are hit or miss. They rarely have their best desserts available. They mix it up a little too much. Beverage service is usually top tier through the first three or four plates. Then, it kinda of hits the fan.

The food is not worth the 26 dollars. The other worst part is when it's not posted anywhere until you get in that it's 100 percent shrimp everywhere Friday. It's a real great buffet when your limited to 10 percent of the total food options. The deserts are fine but for anything else the food is beyond sub par. It's on a Golden Corral type level but worse. You'd also think with all the high level looking chefs back there they would be able to make simple things like fried rice and chicken correctly way over cooked and all bones. It's quite disappointing.

I used to really enjoy this buffet. Years ago they had robust prime rib roasts that were delicious. Recently they have converted to a small roast - maybe 6 inches and round. It probably saves them a bunch of money, but there is no longer rare peices to cut and serve. Additionally the quality and flavor of their other food choices has really gone down in recent years. Instead of this being a destination for high quality food I now feel more like I am eating at a cafeteria with fancier uniforms. I really think that it is time to rethink and redesign what is served and how it is prepared. I have told my family that I do not intend to return unless it is for seafood night - where I am only concerned with the crab legs and don't care about side dishes or meat. Hopefully they will see the light and rethink their quality and selection soon.

My mom was in town and I decided to treat her and my husband and three of my kids to the mystic lake buffet I had gone there many many years ago and I enjoyed my experience there my other kids came along as well to have the experience as well as my grandkids. From the moment we arrived my experience was horrible from the rude staff at the register who kept trying to convince me not to eat there (which maybe I should have taken my business elsewhere) to the horrible food that was there not only was it limited it was old and dried out when something was replace like the hot dish it was dumped on the old which made it worse to look at let alone eat usually you can find several things to eat at a buffet I would have done better going to Golden Coral because there was no mystic about this buffet don’t waste your money or time eating here

A family favorite is the endless crab legs seafood night. You need to get there even before they open because even doing up half an hour later can result in a 3 hour wait to get in. Everything is pretty wonderful but they lose a star bc the dessert section is never very good even if the presentation looks nice. Often times everyone is disappointed by the flavor of things from the dessert station.

Had a good experience here, got to sample quite a few different types of food. Theres usually an American night during weekdays, i visited during an American night. Fairly clean area and nice staff. The bathrooms are also clean. I always enjoy the dessert bar after my meal!

Very disappointed that Mystic Lake got rid of their Sunday night seafood night; that is the only reason we drove all the way out their to dine at the buffet. Although it was way overpriced, it was nice to be able to go out for crab legs instead of cooking them ourselves. At first after reading the reviews I was a little skeptical to eat here, but I’m usually not one to listen to reviews. I really enjoyed the buffet! I love how the buffet had a little bit of everything for everyone’s taste and I really enjoyed the dessert bar! It was a pretty fair price too for all the food that was offered plus prime rib! I would definitely come back. The Chinese food like the noodles and rice were probably my favorite, salad bar was large as well!

The food is great on all days except fridays and sundays unless you like seafood. Its disappointing that when they have their seafood nights that they have no other options but sea food. They can't put a section of the buffet with normal food. Then they only list Sunday as their sea food night on their website not Friday.

Most of the food was good. Crab legs were refilled immediately when low. Had 3 different places with the crab legs..that was very nice so people aren't standing in line forever. We arrived at 3:15 on Sunday (seafood night). Waited about 40 minutes and was one of the first ones in. If you are not there on time, they will fill up and wait list you.

Update: We went there a 2nd time, and the food was significantly better. A lot of variety, and as we were expecting the 1st time. Original: The night we went it was stadium days, so basic ballpark food and nothing special. Not worth the $42. In the past they had a better selection.

There was no wait to get in on a Friday night with plenty of seating available. A large eating area with lots of space between tables makes the restaurant feel big and spacious. The dessert buffet is front and center so as you eat your dinner you can drool over what's to come for a sweet treat. The food was hit or miss. Some stuff is amazing, some stuff just 'meh'. Nothing was bad, just meh... over all I would eat there again just get my fill on the stuff I know I like or was impressed with previously.

I don't recommend anyone going here. They kicked me out for racial discrimination. There are 2 girls complained about me because when I speak I have an accent. I told the girls If my accent is bothering them then they can go somewhere else. I did the right thing and I waked away. They ended up complaining about me and the mystic lake security kicked me out even though I did not do anything wrong but defending myself against 2 racist girls. They called the police on me and I asked them what did I do wrong to deserve this. They said I did not do anything this week but because of my behavior last week which is defending myself. They first said I can not go there 3 days last week and this week they said I can not go to the mystic for 90 days. Again I asked what did I do wrong and they have no explanation. I recorded on a camera so I am going to consult this with my attorney for a lawsuit. I will also post the video on YouTube so anyone can watch it. I will post the YouTube link here as soon as it's ready. We used to go there every Friday about 7 to 8 friends and spent thousands of dollars. When I told this to security they said they dont care. What I was hopping Mystic do is that defending who is being racially discriminated but they failed it. They took the racist girls side because all of the people attacked me including police officers and security employees were all white. I know our country is divided more than ever and the mystic encouraged the racist people to do this behavior by punishing the victim.

Not Good @ all. I have been a long standing customer of the buffet for over 10 years. My most recent visit was very disappointing. A group of friends took me there for my birthday lunch and the food selection & dessert counter was very limited. Cakes very dry, chicken was fried in old oil and corn beef was tough. I found out after the fact the mimosa came with the meal, The mimosa was never offered. Mystic Lake please make immediate changes

Update: NO MORE CRAB LEGS ON SUNDAYS. Whoever signed off on that sent thousands of customers out the door. The buffet was so barren, employees were standing around because there was nothing to do. There was barely a line due to the disinterest in the pan Asian food which was awfully bland. A lot of fried chicken, noodles, and food you can make at home for less. You know the food is not good when the employees are bored because there's no work to do because people were turning away. We wont be returning.

Went on Monday night, the food was horrible. Roasted chicken had no meat, fried chicken was meaty but over cooked and dry. Roast was so tuff it was hard to cook. Cashier had an attitude as her co worker argued with a manager about being kept late and missing his buss. The saving grace wher they got 2 stars was my server.

I appreciate the discount offered for members, the wait was less than 10 minutes for our fairly large group, and even though I wasn't very hungry, the small sample of stuff that I did have was tasty, warm, and fresh. If I'm ever back in the area and circumstances dictate that I end up here, I will rest easy knowing that it's a solid choice all around.

The $160 spent was wasted. It was my first time going there and I was very disappointed. Although the waiters and staff were very nice and professional, the experience wasn't. The floors were dirty and had food on them. Also, the foods I had were very salty and either overcooked, not seasoned enough or not cooked long enough. The noodles I had was very chewy and flavorless. They said that the food was fresh but it didn't taste like it. And most people I saw were only eating the crab legs and that's it.

It was my first time staying at mystic when I enjoyed the all you can eat crab legs. Unfortunately I drove all the way out there to find out that they no longer serve crab legs which was very upsetting especially due to the fact that the other foods that they offer are overcooked or undercooked. Instead of getting rid of the crab legs I feel as though they could of got rid of other options to be able to keep the crab legs. I would never recommend anyone going to this buffet. I also found out if your still looking for all you can eat crab legs treasure island is still offering it.

If I could give no stars I would. This was seriously the most disgusting buffet I have ever had. After nearly spending $200.00 on a room for the night I would have thought that the buffet reflected Mystic Lake's expensive prices (25.00 a person). The salad bar? Lettuce, cherry tomato, cucumber, onion, and hard-boiled egg. That's it. And the rest of the food? Disgusting- everything was so gross we took a bite and left it on our plates. It's like Mystic Lake does not care if their food is good or not. Which is really disappointing because I spend quite a lot of money there and that's what I got. A stomach ache and major disappointment. I will never eat there again. I think Mystic should be ashamed of the quality of the food and embarrassed. It was total garbage and we were furious that we paid that much.

I used to love eating here. My partner and I decided to hang around and have dinner. We should have gone to little six instead. The roast beef was only cooked well done and was tough. The mashed potatoes were instant. The only type of fish was baked haddock that was tougher than leather. The salad bar was down to less than 10 items, and only banana bread available at the bread counter. What happened to the fresh baked rolls and breads? The awesome salad bar? The choices of meats? I'm very disappointed. Sad. I guess if I want a great buffet I'll stick with Treasure Island. Edit: I thought well at least I'll have room for desert, but the crepes were the consistency of construction paper. What has happened to this place? If i were the manager here, I'd be absolutely embarassed by the quality or lack thereof in the food offered.

Went there last night and there was nothing good on buffet. Probably the worse i've ever seen it. Fried shrimp was burned, found a bone in the enchilada's which was weird. Pizza was cold and dry. One would think with all the money that gets thrown around there, the food would be better. If i could give it zero stars, i would.

This place is too bad! I ate some fruit salad and wanted some ice cream back! But find my desk has been cleaned up! The waiter saw me sitting in my seat! Don't ask me if I needed a fork or a spoon! And the expression was very unhappy! I don't know why! I don't eat much! She didn't get me a few plates! I'm so angry! I won't come back

I love crab night, however the 4 star comes from a lack of new deserts. The desert bar has the same thing when come every week. Some of the food needs seasoning.

Here on Sunday night used to be seafood night all you can eat crab legs which is now gone for good and it is Asian food night the food is fare to not very good and their prime rib is not tasty and kind of dry try Treasure Island or grand casino Hinckley

Food has no taste. Old chicken and dried food. The staff is very friendly and great service. Definitely a family night at the Casino. Surprised to see so many children at this casino. No live bands/ music or dancing floors.

Maybe it's me but the ML buffet seems to have lost its luster. The food is good and the place is fairly clean, but not enough for $25 to $40 per adult (depending on nite) for dinner.

We have been to the buffet several times and it has always been terrific. Last night we went at 5:30 PM to beat the rush and the food was TERRIBLE! The Prime Rib was well done, and everything else was just meh! They have changed their menu and there was no fresh fruit, no salmon, no steamed vegetables (in fact, the ONLY cooked vegetable was Creamed Corn), etc. We were SO disappointed and we won’t go back. What’s up Mystic Lake? Not making enough money so you are now skimping on the buffet?

Wow. SAVE UR MONEY!!! This place is HORRIBLE. It smells SUUUPER bad! The food is SUPER hard! The dessert is pretty good tho. ***WARNING*** May cause severe headache, stomach aches, and nausea. I would rather go to McDonald’s!! I give the waiter 5 stars!!! She was really nice. I would give the place a 0 if I could!!!

For a 30 dollar buffet I was expecting some quality food and plenty of options. This buffet had limited options and most of the meat was dried out. I was very disappointed.
