Bres is a great tender! The Pretzel bites and chicken tenders are good. They have blended drinks!!!!! Kinda warm in there though.

Great place for a beer and a bite close to the stadium. The owner often comes out to check on and chat with the patrons- you just don't see that anymore. Service is always outstanding. I recommend the loaded french dip sandwich, it's an absolute killer!

The food is basic American food. The service is great. But sometimes the tap beer is not very cold and the sodas always taste flat. But it's a good bar to get a few quicks drinks and some real cooked food.

I ordered chicken wings (which were advertized as fried) and they were not fried AT ALL! The skin was rubbery and stretched when I bit into it. Also....the wings were not seasoned. The only flavor came from the buffalo sauce on the wing....after the first part of the bite that had flavor it was just rubbery, unseasoned chicken.....I am not cheap but I would have gotten a better value for my $ if I had gone to Applebees.

I stopped in for a bowl of chili at 8:30pm around 9:00pm. I requested onions no cheese. At 9:05 I was served a microwaved slab of sludge. I didnt try it. Drink was mediocre. Service friendly but more into each other than clients.

We recently moved to the neighborhood and Maxwells has proven to be a great choice for a quick bite. They have a decent selection of local beers on tap. The burgers are very good. The peanut butter burger with tater tots is my favorite. Service is always quick and friendly but I would guess it gets very busy before a Vikings game.

Nice corner pub in downtown Minneapolis. They offer outdoor seating in the summer month. They feature ample and tasty appetizers all served by friendly staff. Close to USBank stadium as well.

Great place for a late night snack. The waitress was adorable, sweet and very attentive. She wasn't intrusive and made sure we were taken care of with just the right amount of attention. It's a great place to sit and chat, but people, you don't have to turn up the music louder as people try to talk louder to hear each other over the music.

The staff is really good here and the Thursday night wings special is solid, it’s a Thursday ritual for me now after trying it out a few months back. The menu is solid and everything I have tried has been really good.

Great downtown local pub. Food is tasty and more interesting than most standard pub fare. Warm, welcoming, casual, friendly, diverse -- a great place to gather after work or before going to the US Bank Stadium, The Guthrie, TRP, and other, downtown East locations.

I love this place! Right across from my office, the service is always great and they have excellent food choices that are delicious. The steak bites are phenomenal. The only thing is it is very tight space and you feel as though you are sitting on top of people if it gets busy.

Maxwell's Mondays is what my friends and I attempted to 'celebrate' every week or so. We simply love the food, beer, and atmosphere that this bar has to offer. The pretzel bits are one of the best things on the menu, so I recommend getting those as an appetizer. Overall, great bar!

I enjoy the casual atmosphere of Maxwell's. Good beer selection. Some craft varieties, some old standards. Very nice bartenders. Plus they have tables available outside! Do I want to sit outside on Washington Ave. on a beautiful day? YES! Enjoy Maxwell's!

Had an enjoyable happy hour with friends at Maxwell's. They had a great dark beer and delicious, filling appetizers at a decent price. It's convenient for me as it's only a few blocks from work. Wait staff paid just the right amount of attention to us - didn't neglect us but didn't hover. We were, after all, there to catch up with friends. Street parking is available. This is our regular after work meeting spot when there's not an event at the football stadium.

This a gem of a dive bar. Small dive bar close to the US Bank Stadium that serves great food, seriously I've had probably half the menu, lots of beers on tap, and the Thursday Wing Special is reason enough to come check this place out. MN Sports are always on and the staff is super friendly.

I go there on Thursday nights for the 50 cent wings. I always enjoy it. The servers are great the food is nice and hot and unique. The restaurant is always clean. I love to watch sports on the TVs that they have in the restaurant.

I just stopped in at happy hour for a beer and appetizer. Cute little place. Close to both US Bank Stadium and Guthrie Theater, depending on your entertainment preference. I had the steak bites appetizer and a Grain Belt Premium, both at great happy hour prices. The steak bites were nicely done, with lots of grilled onions and diced tomatoes underneath. The Grain Belt was, well a Grain Belt. Nice and cold. Very nice and quick server. This is the perfect, not so noisy spot for a quick beer and bite on a Friday afternoon.

A relatively quiet place for so close to downtown Minneapolis, even on a Friday night! The staff have been very accommodating for short notice group parties and very helpful and friendly. Nice cozy atmosphere and the music is never too loud so you'll be able to actually hear someone talking a few feet away (unlike some other pubs). Nice selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. They do offer coffee which is not great but it gets the job done! Overall very good.

Drink with cops, enjoy just one drink at a time, and have your whole group cut off if one of you spills a little beer! Only at Maxwells. Grumpys next door has better food, patrons, beer, and bartenders who talk to you instead of looking at their phone.

I dug this place for my first time there they had a friendly staff. The food was definitely American style food burgers fries and some other tasty items I noticed. It's on a busy corner being close to campus but would recommend for a quick bite and a beer for a decent price.
