The first time we came was at dinner, and it was really good food, prompt service, they serve breakfast all day which is always a winner for me. The second time we came was during breakfast rush and it took 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee to our table, then another 15 to get food, and we had to ask for our check eventually so we could leave. Not unacceptable service, but you may see your server less than you want when it's busy.

Got a to go order of a taco salad. Taco meat was unseasoned hamburger. Salsa and sour cream was missing. I don't mind onion but onion was over powering. Pulled out half an onion from one taco salad. My girlfriend may have gotten food posioning from her omelet. Not a good experience from what is supposed to be a higher end restaurant.

Awful Service. A groups of my friends were there eating. My wife and I were walking by and my buddy called us to stop in. We were leaving a salad place where my wife got a salad to go so she had it in her hand. After an hour of catching up with friends at the Final 4, TWO different employees rudely came up to us and said that we weren’t supposed to eat outside food in their restaurant. They went on to complain that “no one” in our group ordered anything, which was untrue. Half of the group ordered food, drinks, coffee, and dessert. The were upset that we had been there catching up, even though 3/4 of the place was empty. Super unprofessional service.

Great breakfast/brunch place with some hearty options. We like to go here before a Vikings game to fill up so we don't spend a fortune at the stadium. Service is decent for the amount of people being served at any given time. Just be ready to snag any employee walking by to remind them of something you ordered that didn't make it to the table.

Went for breakfast on Sunday. Gluten free options including pancakes, waffles, french toast. My cinnamon french toast was rather bland, lacked much cinnamon flavor and barely egg coated it seemed, bread was good. Eggs sunny side up were executed well. Espresso was failure, arrived having overflowed cup, tasted weak, acidic, bland. Server was super attentive and brought me replacement espresso which was appropriate fluid volume but again the taste was severely lacking. Breakfast specials were inviting too. Hour into opening Sunday was pretty busy, but no wait, plenty of seating, including bar area.

Okay food at okay prices. I’ve eaten here a few times in the past few years. It has stayed consistent: for most any breakfast dish you get a large volume of starch—potatoes and thick, lightly toasted bland bread—with a typical amount of proteins for a comparable price. It’s usually one of the last places on my list in that part of town, however. My last visit pushed them off the list altogether. I ordered the scrambled eggs with spinach, cream cheese, and garlic with a side of sausage. The eggs were well cooked, but the $6 side of sausage was barely above room temperature and tasted like it had been cooked several hours prior. The hash browns looked fine until you got to the middle where they had folded the charred parts into the middle, and I mean charred completely black. When I pointed it out to my server, who had been avoiding eye contact until I pushed my plates away, he said “Okay” and brought me my check for full price.

Nice location, get in and ask for a water and beer. Ask the waitress the price of the beer because the price for a bottle of golden was not listed. Susan answers back," Look in the drink book." First strike for Susan. Next it takes 15 minutes to receive the water and beer. This is unacceptable for how many customers they did not have. Finally ordered food and she was not nice about answering questions about the menu. Get the food which was overpriced and she comes to check on us as im finishing my last bite. Worst service I have ever received.

We visited on a cold & snowy Saturday morning before the rush! Our waitress seemed a little testy but I must admit that once our food was served she regularly checked in with us. Also, the staff that seated us and brought our plates were very friendly. I was surprised how long we waited for our coffees, which, not surprisingly, weren't very hot. The food was average, nothing special, but the portions were generous. The waffle was probably the best part of the meal, it was hot & fresh. It was a little overcooked for my taste but I finished it all. The decor was nice and it's obviously a popular location even on a snowy & cold weekend morning. I don't know that I would visit again.

Went to have dinner and in the process of being seated the waitress informed me that the kitchen closes in 8 minutes. So what’s that supposed mean was not clear to me since she was seating us, I simply told her that’s ok I am leaving. I don’t want to be rushed and the process of ordering and cooking the food would have taken more than 8 minutes. The place BTW was deserted, not a single soul.

I honestly don’t write reviews much but I called ahead of time and asked about bottomless mimosas, told me they do so we went there for breakfast and it turned out they don’t. Funny because after we left I called them again to ask about the bottomless mimosas and they, once again, told me that they do!! After confronting about the false advertisement the guy put me on hold and finally admitted that they don’t have it. Food was still decent but the place is way under stuffed. Took forever to get anything!

This location is very elegant and gives you a different vibe from every other location. However, they always tend to overcook the food. Many times, my pancakes have been burnt and any meat I order has been kind of dry. I will add that the deserts are spectacular. Especially the apple pie!

The breakfast is always amazing. Their omelettes are killer. Their homemade strawberry jam would bring world peace. Their dinner menu is a bit more basic, but the quality is still fantastic. Service is great, and the right amount of spicy if you like to give and take some witty banter.

Great service, great food, and in a convenient location to a lot of business and places people work. We went for lunch, so was less busy than a dinner time, but still had a fair few people in it. Also have a dessert counter right when you walk in with some tasty looking treats for those interested. They were also giving out free samples from the dessert counter too, which is a nice touch on top.

We up until recently loved the Keys cafe for breakfast most Saturdays for a few years now. The service was consistently great, food was fast and always good. Recently a manager that had been there for years left the Keys and everything has gone downhill since then. The first time we visited after he left the service was slow and food was just OK. Figuring it was a one time thing we came back two more times to have the same poor experience. There has been a big change in servers and most of the one's we knew are no longer there on Saturdays. The service is npw consistently slow and the food isn't up to the same standards. We will likely try again in a few weeks and hope for the best but it may be that our time for breakfasts there has come to a close.

Absolutely amazing food, excellent service even at off hours. If you have not tried the Keys house cake, give it a try. It is truly spectacular. One of my favorite sweet treats available anywhere. This was my first visit to keys at the Foshay, but I would say that I am a fairly regular Diner at their other locations. This does not disappoint. Truly excellent quality and excellent service.

Keys used to be one of our favorite places for Happy Hour and Lunch. The past six months however have gone very downhill. We stopped going to happy hour a few months ago due to higher prices. Today we decided to try Keys for lunch... and after today it will probably be the last time. Recieved a Value Add Charge: I was charged a fee that I was told was for using a credit card, however I paid in cash. Apon further investigation the waiter said the fee is for credit cards and the higher wages. Very disappointed as Keys used to be our usual spot.

The place itself is a bit dated/sad, but again, the good value eats and complimentary taco bar on Tuesdays makes up for it. They did have a really bad gnat problem though when I was last in on a weeknight. We killed maybe 4 of the 7 that plagued our table the entire time indoors.

We all wanted breakfast and this was recommended to us. Fast, freindly service with lots of options on the menu. Pecan roll was very good, but came with raw pecans sprinkled over it, would prefer them toasted. All the egg dishes were good and toast with jam was a big hit too.

So delicious, every time. One day I'll order something that isn't a breakfast item, but I haven't managed it yet! I always ask for extra homemade strawberry jam for my toast, as it's out-of-this-world good. If you get an omelette, try having it with the hash browns inside--it may seem weird, but it's a revelation. Service has always been fast and friendly, though if you want to avoid waiting for a table on weekend mornings, you'll want to arrive no later than 9:30am.

This was my second experience at the Keys At The Foshay and my friend and I were not disappointed with the awesome food nor the great service we received from Kyle, our handsome server. We had breakfast on June 23 during Pride Weekend, my friend had a regular breakfast, I had the biscuits with sausage gravy and we shared a bowl of grits with real maple syrup, everything was excellent and I will keep coming back!

SOOOOOOOO DAAAAAARN GOOOOOOOOD!!!!! Had it for the first time this morning for breakfast after a long night at a work party and it was amazing. I wish I knew the waitresses name because she was great too. Food was served fast and hot, the drinks were served ice cold, I had milk haha, and the food was delicious. My girlfriend agrees! Or go straight for the immense and spectacular warm caramel roll. No special parking for Keys in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Metered on street parking and in nearby parking garages.

I hesitated before deciding to go to dinner alone at a non-cafe setting, but every staff member I encountered here was super friendly and the food was delicious so I'm glad I chose to go here! I ordered the soup of the day (cream of turkey and wild rice) and a glass of wine. Both items exceeded expectations, so I finished the meal full and happy. Bonus: my bill only came down to $12.30. I also really appreciated my amazing waitress, Liana, who not only made me feel absolutely welcome and cared for, but also gave me the space and privacy I needed after a day of conference sessions. There are so many great things about this place that add up to prompt this 5-star review.

I LOVE Keys Cafe, I've been going here since I was a little girl. So, I've been SUPER DISAPPOINTED with the CRAPPY SERVICE & CRAPPY Food. But, I Believe in Keys, they're a part of My Childhood and that of My Children's as well. I don't know what it's gonna take to get GREAT SERVICE AND SPECTACULAR Dishes again? But, I ALWAYS BRAG about the food here, it's just lately, I don't know? It's not even, "WELCOMING" anymore. I'm trying not to give it a 1 Star. Maybe YOU will have a better experience with them.
