REVIEWS OF Homi Restaurant IN Minnesota

Angie Coy

Was my first time eating at Homi with mi segunda familia. Everything we ordered was fabulous! Highly recommend!

James Morehead

Enchiladas and seafood soup were ordered. The soup was probably the best I've ever had. The spice on the enchiladas were perfect. Rice? Delicious. Go there. Much better than the well known. And it's local.

Jon Lundberg

Great Mexican place. Make sure to bring cash. They have a card reader but no way to leave a tip :(

Taylor Thomas

The best Mexican food i have had in Minnesota. I haven't found anything to be as good as some of the restaurants I used to frequent in California. This one is just like the restaurants in California. I love this place. Staff is very friendly. I am still working my way through the menu. I have not had anything bad from yet. I've been eating here for awhile now.

Viry Perez

Really bad service , the ladies were super rude to me when all I was doing was being respectful. I left. She was a short lady and criticized me and laughed in my face. Horrible place , DO NOT RECOMMEND

Really good food for a really good price. This place is authentic, too, offering tongue and cactus leaves along with chicken and beef. Chips were fresh and hot, and complimentary Mexican candy if you go in. Try the Mexican sodas, too. Sidral mundet is my favorite, but Jarritos is good too!

Philip B

-Nice Enviorment - Good Staff -Very small portions - Expensive - Left hungry after spending over 30$

Joel Abrahamson

I enjoyed delicious empanadas and the kind and friendly staff.

Kevin Dahm

I like that they have two sizes of burrito based on your appetite. It was my go to take out burrito place until La Tapatia opened. Mom and pop shop ambiance.

Rip N.

Has a great mix of Mexican and Salvadorean food. The Salvadoran tamales were my favorite! Food is always fresh, there are a wide range of beverage options, and great service. I ordered the chili rellenos and ate fresh gauc, loved every bite of both. I always forget to take photos of the plates because I’m too excited to eat, but I was able to get a photo of the leftovers!

Allison Christine

Great food. Always love what I order.

Jenn Milam

Three stars because it's way too expensive! Family of 4, over $70!

Amber Oman

Steak tacos and fresh guacamole are so delicious! Authentic and fresh!

Arasu S

Very neat little place. Excellent food. I had the chicken quesadilla and the chicken was very flavorful. Excellent salsa and guacamole. Will definitely be back.

Amanda Supak

Great food! I would definitely eat here again!

Chelsie Walker

I just ordered from them today for lunch, I’ve ordered twice before and it’s the same meal today the charged me extra and when I bit into my tamale their was hair stuffed in the mass wrapped around the chicken. Im disgusted. I guess I’ll go back to ordering from Los Ocampo.

Just go to the west side. They don't even seem to be trying to make customers happy at homi. service and foods were awful.

Kyle Hoffman

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Everything is made fresh from scratch and it is a huge menu! On Cinco de Mayo, they have an all you can eat Mexican buffet.

Dinah MacPhail

Do yourself a favor and get anything in the salsa verde. Holy buckets.

Gale Ferris

Cinco de Mayo buffet today was awesome. Good horchata great food!

Rene Myers

I've been here 4-5 times and the food has been delicious each time. Authentic Mexican food at its best. The owner and chef is wonderful and hard working. I'm lucky to have this restaurant in my neighborhood!

Amy Sparks

All of the yum. Authentic and delicious. Friendly and inviting. Fair prices.

Amy Blumke

My favorite Mexican restaurant in St. Paul. I usually get the Enchiladas Verdes with chicken, and it is so good that my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It is on the spicy side, but it seems like the chef is able to cater to different spice tolerances. The guacamole is super tasty as well.

Krista Ostrom

Such great food! This little place may not look fancy, but they have some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! Honestly, there isn't a single thing we've ordered from them that wasn't delicious. If you haven't already, check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Drew Beres

tasty and affordable

Scott Pakudaitis

Tasty, fresh food, friendly service, and a wide variety of menu options.

Ale xox Bella

Horrible food, My taco meat for carne asada was reheated in microwave.... and barely no season for flavor.... tastes bland... and the salsas are not that hot and taste watered down

Samuel Smart

Great food

Dave Whitman

Authentic mexican food at a reasonable price. There were several varieties of empanadas, all good. Tamales in either corn husk or banana leaves were great. Fresh guacamole came with chips and two home made salsas. Elotes were topped with good cheese, but seemed steamed, not grilled, FWIW. I'll be back to try the pozole. Recommended.

David Mya

Not real home mexican food no guacamole or salsa no breakfast menu..very expesive 3 tacosbeans/rice acoke 16$. Do i look like a celebrity

Adalpe Apé Leal

Great service and fantastic food. If you never been, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Alexander Warren

Really good. Spicy means spicy (I mean that in a good way). Very friendly service. I'm definitely eating there again.

Noah Logsdon

My favorite Mexican restaurant in St. Paul without a doubt. Reasonable prices too. They even give you burrito size options. A small burrito ($8.95) or a large one ($12.95). Who does that?! This place is awesome!

Cliff Wood

Really good food, comfy atmosphere, prompt service. Little expensive, but definitely going back soon.

Eve Adams

Overall average food. I ordered the Enmoladas and was very excited to try it. I was disappointed the mole sauce was watery, and bitter tasting. Nothing like the mole sauces I've had in Mexico. The chicken however was flavorful and moist. The dish also came with rice and beans which were okay. The service left a lot to be desired. We had to flag down our wait staff to order, and request water refills. I look forward to trying something different on the menu.

Kelsey Jungk

My favorite go-to Mexican restaurant in St Paul. The empanadas and homemade guacamole are amazing!

Matt James

First time I got the Enchilada meal and it was amazing. I was ready to make this my go to Mexican restaurant until I got the Fajitas and it was so underwhelming. A 13$ meal that didnt come with any tortillas barely any chicken and not only that it was riddled with small bones. Was definitely disappointing I'll try somewhere else.

Alan Whitley

Great little Mexican joint alot closer to true Mexican than alot of the tex mex spots in town. If im in town I will definitely make another trip here.

Samuel Branch

My neighborhood taco joint... Don't eat meat, so the fish tacos are my thing...

Robert Ellis

Authentic, locally owned AND family operated. Fantastic food everytime.

Great place to eat

M Hemi

Just really, really good Mexican food. Take-out, delivery or eat in. Good service too! When we went, they were showing World Cup games, which was cool.

Amanda Lensing

It's easy to walk by without even noticing this place, but I'm glad I found it, and I'll definitely be back! Huge menu and lots of options. Some people have mentioned it is overpriced, but I had a $13.xx plate of enchiladas that was enough for two meals so I would say it's a good value. Really kind and helpful staff, when my friend wasn't sure about the verde sauce, she brought some out to our table with some chips so she could try it before ordering. When I visited on a weeknight, the place was steady but not super busy, and we still got our food quickly after ordering. Reheated leftovers taste almost as good the next day!

Angela Weeldreyer

The tacos al pastor were so good!!! We loved the empanadas too. :) I also love the elote and the horchata.

Andy Thompson

Delicious food, service a little slow because it's made from scratch. Like I said, delicious.

Christine Schoen

Fresh and authentic food. Friendly service. Get the guacamole!

Shannon Fiecke

Best Mexican hot chocolate ever! SO rich and thick.

Beth Chalmers

We ordered breakfast burritos for an office birthday party and they were fabulous! The service from Miguel and his team was wonderful. They accommodated our requests and had everything ready when requested. The price was good for the quantity and quality of the food. Definitely recommend!

MiMailee Blah

Love LOVE their ELOTES!!! It's perfect and be careful with how much spice you sprinkle on it.. I learned it the hard way and it was too spicy for me. haha! But they have delicious tacos! I will come back for sure!

Adalpe Leal

Always a great place to stop and get some of the best Tacos in St Paul. I've had a lot of food here, it's all really delicious.

Sterling Kowalski

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. The fresh made dishes take a little longer to make, so be aware. I consider it a good thing. Easy access off the green line - Victoria street station. Will definitely be back!!

Nailah Cash-O'Bannon

Delicious food, decent service

Cynthia Guajardo

Great food pleasantly surprised.

tariq abdulWadud

The lady who created us was super nice.. had a an aura.. made it feel personal.. her cooking is on point too and that guacamole is addicting.. eat at Homi's!!

Danielle BW

Great steak burrito

Zaria W

It's nothing special frankly. Average. The food was exactly what you think. Barely anything is included with the prices and everything is extra. Limited menu. The inside isn't glamorous. The staff is nice but the clientele is rough. Simply not competitive with the city's tastes. The food was preparted correctly, hot, and speedy. I was sheerly looking for gluten free options other than eliminating carbs and a good corn flour tortilla is old relliable.

Hugo Te.

Real authentic Mexican food. It is delicious, clean, and very attentive and friendly staff. I recommend you give it a chance. It might not look fancy but the taste IS.

Alex Beck

What a fantastic place. Super small hole in the wall mexican restaurant. The food was amazing. I will definitely be returning.

Team Spirits

The food were very delicious and the service they had was outstanding. It took a while to wait for the food but worth it in the end and the managers and workers there are very nice and helpful. Definitely worth the five stars in my book.

Dylan Heise

So good! Very nice service and great authentic options

Clare Schleichert

Long waits, but the chicken mole enchiladas are to die for!

Brian Steidl

We went for a birthday dinner and walked away glad they were on the light rail. The food was amazing and they serve the kind of food that makes you glad that they chose to move here. It helps set the stage for tasty memories. They are easy to visit and worth the trip.

Homi catered my daughter's graduation party this summer. The food was delicious and plentiful. The delivery was on-time and they brought everything we needed. They were easy to work with as far as ordering and scheduling. I highly recommend.

Lawrence Dexter

We eat here once in a while. It's cozy and the food is good. Although we have never tried, you can order pick up. I can't vouch for the authenticity of the cuisine, but the staff we've seen are Hispanic, and we often see Hispanics eating here.

Drew David

This is our favorite local Mexican restaurant! My wife and I typically order delivery but last night we decided to walk in to the restaurant and get it to go. The staff were incredibly kind amd friendly. They even gave us extra rice and beans. We will be sure to actually sit down and eat in the restaurant the next time we want to get their food. I imagine they would appreciate the help filling their tables vs. only filling take out and delivery.

Graham Winchester

Homi is possibly the best Mexican restaurant in the twin cities, the food can take a bit of time to get and it is fairly expensive, but it is always work the wait and extra dollars

Deep Fried Panda Bear

Ugly little restaurant with the great food and great cooking, some parts I'd change like the chips and maybe the decor and paint job but other then that the food taste like my mom would've cooked it, you can tell they are family owned and operated, delicious greet for a hangover.

Jackie LaVaque

Very good Mexican food. The green sauce enchiladas are spicy and flavorful! The owners are very nice too. Authentic Mexican in a little shop on University Ave.

Stephen Duckworth

Had Carne De Res Soup and I thought that was something that I could only get when I ate at my Grandma's house! Table side Guac and chips are great as well!

mark thisius

Slow to bad service. Enchiladas were just okay. Not impressed despite reviews.

David DeRoode

The quality of food is excellent. The portion size is big. Great owner operated business. I wish they had lunch size portion with lunch size prices, then it would be 5

Eva K

Fast delivery, fresh and hot upon arrival. Delicious.

Sharon Satnik

For when you just need some comfort food...

Tati Faye

Love the elote corn. The beff soup great steak tacos. Kind of spendy but worth it.

Barbara Vang

Consistently good! I usually order red enchiladas with rice and beans. The green sauce is good, too.

Laura Oldenburg

Loved the food. Everything is home made. The owner is so sweet, very friendly. The empanadas were amazing. Enchiladas were delicious. We also ordered chips and bean dip to start, so good! Now one of our top mexican restaurants to eat at.

Joshua Sutake

Wasn't what I expected.

john Hancock

Not a big menu if you want Mexican food made fresh this is the place.
