REVIEWS OF Hell's Kitchen Inc. IN Minnesota

Jordan Schwartz

Very highly recommend. It looks a bit tacky from the outside, but don't let that deceive you. Great atmosphere and terrific service. We both ordered the Juicy Lucifer burgers and they were outstanding. Also love that they are 100% employee owned! Rare to see that at such a thriving spot.

Jeff Human

Amazing bloody Mary bar and food. Spacious seating, yet super popular. Minneapolis is lucky to have it! It's all underground and Hell-themed with tongue-in-cheek decor. Service is top notch. Must-go Minneapolis!

Randy Jackson

Funky underground restaurant/bar. Started at brunch. Awesome lemon ricotta pancakes. Great Bloody Mary’s. The Bloody Mary bar is a bit of a gimmick but fun. Liked the menu enough we tried lunch another day. Fantastic burgers. Lots of things can be ordered Gluten Friendly. They had gf beer and buns for the burgers. They were packed on Final Four weekend but the service was great. We made reservations to avoid the line and were seated right away. Highly recommend.

Jennifer Mazur

Great food and friendly service! The lemon ricotta cakes truly are not to be missed, and the huevos rancheros was delicious as well. I personally think the cheese curds with red pepper jelly are a must. The drinks were just okay, and the food service was a little slow, and the prices were a little high, but we would return for sure.

Jeff Gaal

Cool atmosphere and decor. The menu choices are generally unique and the food quality is outstanding. Make reservations, especially at dinner time. If you go for breakfast/brunch, they have one heck of a Bloody Mary Bar - a meal unto itself. It's really hard to find unique and different done well, you will find it here though.

Amanda Collins

Oh God this place was so good, we ate there twice. The burgers were juicy and cooked very professionally. There wasn't anything special about the fries, but make sure to get the peanut butter ice cream!! They make their peanut butter in house and you can buy it in TSA friendly sizes. Well done! Don't forget to go for brunch to catch the Make Your Own Drink buffet that they have. It's so fun.

Stopped in at the recommendation of a friend. It wasn't overly busy and we were seated quickly. The walleye tacos were amazing and my kid was raving about the ribs. The server was very prompt and friendly. We all enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant. Here's where things get good... My son left his custom baseball glove there. Being from WI, 4 hours away, we didn't know how we'd get it back. I emailed an owner and manager offering to pay for shipping and for whatever additional inconvenience it would be to ship the glove to us. Within minutes Cynthia emailed me back and said she'd ship it back and not to worry about shipping. Having a business go that far above and beyond what is expected was truly amazing. Obviously customers are their absolute #1 priority. I can't thank you all enough for the kind gesture. The food was enough to bring us back when we end up back in Minneapolis. Now it's a must stop.

Debra Alcala

Def recommend, the food was so good. The waitstaff and kitchen are very conscientious of food allergies. They have a dedicated fryer for the French fries (the sweet potato fries are not gluten free). Lots of gluten free and other accommodating options. All staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Will be back!

Mathew Roberts

The food was awesome. If you get a burger get the homemade mustard. It's got a nice kick!

Liz Wingert

Creative food and drinks. Only down fall was with the walleye tacos not much meat. Pancakes were amazing! Great flavor, best cakes I have ever had! Bloody Mary bar was interesting range of spices and can have multiple kabobs.

Daryl Ward

Great service and even better food. Amazing atmosphere.

Nathan Lara

I got the juicy Lucifer burger, disappointment. Looks like there should be big glob of cheese, I took a bite and there was no cheese. They made a new one for me and hardly no cheese in that one either. Menu shows way better picture with tons of cheese. It was a plain old burger. Sauce that came with burger was like a sweet sour sauce with chili sauce different but not bad. Fries were warm when they came out had them make a fresh batch. My friend had the pear ham sandwich and she said it was amazing.

Emily Coffman

Good food. Little pricey. Good service.

Katie Butz

Easy to get a table in the middle of the week. Bloody Mary's are really good, spicy enough already. If anything, you might have to order it less spicy, lol! MN State Fair Cheese Curds-amazing! Dinner was Linguine Chicken Scampi-very light and refreshing! Def recommend! Great staff, quick and prompt.

Robyn Busby

Good food friendly staff crazy decorating! Bloody Mary bar with lots of option, this only happens Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 2pm ! Go enjoy yourself..

Isaac Romsdahl

Cool casual atmosphere, fantastic food. Juicy Lucifer was a standard Juicy Lucy with the addition of some delicious pepper jam on the side. Cheese curds and sausage bread as starters were both very good. Homemade peanut butter is a must-have condiment. Ask for it, and put it on as much of your meal as possible. You will not be dissapointed.

We went here for breakfast once because Google recommended it as a breakfast spot, but I would definitely categorize it as a lunch/dinner spot instead. They had some breakfast dishes but it's not what I would consider a "breakfast place" That being said, I ordered one of their burgers and it was maybe the best burger I've ever had in my life. I ordered it medium and it actually came out done perfectly medium instead of overcooked like many places tend to do. And man was that burger JUICY. Fantastic quality beef. Also give this place a try if you're a spicy food fanatic. They really push their spicy dishes and there were 4 or 5 exclusive dishes on the menu to choose from, so plenty of variety for your "type" of spicy.

J. Murdock

I have never had a good experience here. I really wanted to like it. I don’t know why it’s been so sub par. I would order something and the next time it was different and when I inquire about it I would be told it was made right and last time was the wrong way. It was like trying to question someone who, no matter what, will make anything your fault. The food was good just consistently inconstant.

Bee Xiong

Took a long time for our food to come out, the sauce for the fish and chip was very good unfortunately the fish and chip was cold. Wife had the half rack, favor was nice and smokey, good tasting sides but also cold. I thought our order was lost and the food sat but the table next to us was the same. Will not come back considering the surrounding competition in the area, I will go somewhere else. Mannys seems to be great everytime.

Peter R.

Food was pretty average. Wings were done well but the jerk sauce was not so great. Nice beef on the Juicy Lucy but too lean for the molten cheese goo experience. And for nearly twice the price as the famous Juicy Lucy locales. Tater tots seem like they were a commercial frozen product. Meh.

Cory Birchard-Weissman

Good food and service. Very busy so wait for food was a bit long but acceptable.

Geoff Discher

Researched the Hellfire burger and had to stop in to try it. Though they claimed it was served medium rare, the level 2 heat disguised the taste of the meat enough to where it was mainly heat. Also upsold on a soda which made a weekday lunch more expensive than it should be. Not going here again.

Kennitha Wade

Maybe I should go back and try something else. Wasnt impressed but the customer service was cool. Nice staff.

Amy Jokinen

Great gluten free breakfast options, including amazing English muffins. Adorable atmosphere and phenomenal service. Heavenly experience!

Katie Schmitz

First timer her. Came in to have a cocktail. We were seated in the bar. We sat at the table for 15 minutes. We were never even greeted or told it’d be a second. Left and went to melting pot. First impressions are everything and this one was TERRIBLE! So bummed wanted to come back for the bloody special!

Dynamic Duo Cleaning

My husband and I love this place and we're so happy we got to check it out while we are on our stay (in the state) vacation! Good food, good service, and fun atmosphere. Gordon Ramsay needs to take note.

Kinga Nichols

Super quirky restaurant with live music, unusual but really good food options and a wide array to satisfy all tastrs, good drinks and friendly staff. Breakfast all day, good sandwiches, tacos and such. Eclectic and fun.

Mark Wonsil

They were not flexible enough for our large party prioritizing distribution of work over guests. The food was fine but not enough to make up for splitting the family in town for a wedding into two different rooms. Smaller groups may enjoy it more, especially if you like bloody marys or mimosas.

Emmy W

Great food! Had the Lemon Ricotta hot cakes, which were great. The restaurant is fun, clean and the wait staff is super friendly.

Christine Briceno

Great service, great food! Not what we expected, but worth a visit!

Tya M. Pope

Great food, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere. Anyone can find something delicious on the menu. As a vegetarian, I always appreciate that!

Lisa Andres

This is one of the best places in Minneapolis, period. The food is original and fantastic. They have lovely brunches with live music and a gigantic bloody Mary bar on the weekends. Their bloody Mary to me is the best around. The location itself is interesting: it's in a basement that looks like you are literally descending into hell which quite frankly is part of it's charm. For brunch and on the weekends there is typically a wait if you don't make a reservation. It's completely worth a drive into the city and there's a ramp right next to it which makes it all the more convenient to park near. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

James McGaughey

No TV, chain restaurant here. This place is original and very good. Food is excellent. Pretty good spin on huevos rancheros for the midwest. Bloody mary bar is ridiculously cool. Live music on the weekends. Try this place.

Hajo Saurma

Nice place ... Good service.....food is ok, also the price...AND it's open in Sunday afternoon...

Tasha Heaton

The atmosphere and music was good. The food was delicious. Service was as to be expected, nothing extravagant or bad. Definitely a long wait time to be seated, make a reservation if at all possible beforehand.

Wendy McNab

Classic breakfast with sipping tequila!?!? Yes! It’s like pairing wine with your meal. Delicious! Superb service. Food was exactly how I wanted it. I have a gluten allergy and was completely happy about my eating experience. Be ready for a bit of wait though for this delicious experience. I will be going back to try out the jacked up mimosas. Oh!! Imagine listening to live jazz music while you eat your breakfast with tequila!!!???!!! See?? Must return here.

Ruth H

I ate here every day I was in town. Fabulous food, fun staff and the peanut butter is even better than I expected. The cookbook is a work of art too!

Tim Little

Wow.. the hype for this place was crazy, but it lives way up to it! Phenomenal meal. Best huevos rancheros I've ever had. Ever. Incredible texture, layers of delicious flavors, incredible front of house experience as well. Very impressed. Bought the cook book and peanut butter because I couldn't get enough. If you are near this place, it's worth the trip. Trust me. GO!

Catherine niehaus

We went for breakfast on Saturday and everything was great! Inventive and tasty. Reservations are a good idea any time as the place was crowded. We we're lucky to get a spot at the bar.

Jeanine Nelson

Funky underground restaurant/bar. Started at brunch. Awesome lemon ricotta pancakes. Great Bloody Mary’s. The Bloody Mary bar is a bit of a gimmick but fun. Liked the menu enough we tried lunch another day. Fantastic burgers. Lots of things can be ordered Gluten Friendly. They had gf beer and buns for the burgers. They were packed on Final Four weekend but the service was great. We made reservations to avoid the line and were seated right away. Highly recommend.

Tammy Beers

We are in town for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod National Youth Gathering. We are a group of 35. We arrived early hoping to get seated. They seated us within minutes of arriving. Our waitresses were efficient and friendly. Our food arrived quickly and everyone's order was correct. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was fun. Thank you for accommodating the large number of teens and adults in town this week! God bless!

Jordan Aberle

Really awesome atmosphere with the lighting and live music. The food was excellent. I ordered the walleye filet with roasted vegetables and it was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and frequent again when I'm in town!

Chris Baughman

Fun place to visit, and they have a lot of fun. If you try the cheese curds with their red pepper jelly, you'll be asking to buy more before you leave. We also got their bbq sauce it is fantastic!

Chrystal Hubbard

Absolutely love this place. Love when Tastefully Simple conferences are in Minneapolis so we can go there at least twice! Recently I took two people there who haven't been there before and they loved it as much as I do! Everything I've tried has been amazing. So much flavor! Even better, the service is always great!

Casper Karoff

Always a good meal. Tried the recommended Walleye Tacos which were good granted the sauce was a little spicy for me as I have sensitive taste buds. But would still recommend them! Also, the caesar salad with chicken was delicious.

Jose C

The food and service was excellent. They have some unique and delicious items such as the sausage bread and porridge. The live band added to fun, and the band was not too loud. There was a lot of staff working together to take orders, deliver food, and pre-bus. I highly recommend going to Hell's Kitchen.

Carolyn Perez

My kids took me here for special birthday dinner. Wonderful staff, great food, and live music. They also have a little gift shop. Steak was great, and burgers were awesome!

LingMei Garcia

Food was delicious! Staff was so nice helpful and friendly, we had a great time.

jake buckingham

Food here is very good. They have menu items that you won't find anywhere else. We went for breakfast and had sausage toast and the lemon ricotta hotcakes. The hotcakes were the best I've ever had. Amazing! Our server was great. He had been working there a while and was very efficient and had a great personality. The restaurant has an odd decor. Playing on the "hell" theme.

Kavita Modi

Not too many vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered impossible burger with sweet potatoes fries. It wasn't great but I like the restaurant, decor and great service.

Pierce Staab

Very friendly staff, they make you feel at home. Would recommend.

Bernice Williams

Loved it! Cheese curds were wonderful. Service was wonderful!

Donko Beast

I got the Juicy Lucifer and on another visit got the Huevos Rancheros. They were both fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone. I love the atmosphere.

Tylor Forney

Had the Jucy Lucifer and it was excellent. Fiancee had the Walleye Tacos and they were awesome. Great atmosphere. We were seated away from the band and were able to have casual conversation without issue.

Chris Biggers

Great food, great staff, great drinks. The bar was a bit slow for 3 bartenders but not a big deal.

Lynn Kamrowski

This is the second time I visited Hells kitchen and I was not disappointed. We arrived when they were switching over to dinner so we had to wait about 30 min to sit. Had the Juicy Lucy which is an incrediable burger. Will definitly be back next time I am in the Cities.

Rob Dwyer

The atmosphere, service, and food come together here in such a perfect way. The Juicy Lucifer (their take on the iconic Juicy Lucy) was delicious, but it was the garlic parmesan tater tots that stole the show! Pretty sure I could eat here 7 days a week and be quite pleased about it.

Timesha Beattie

Do NOT expect ANY kind of experience of anything Remotely close to Chef Gordan Ramsey. For MY Southern pallet, the food was bland, boring, and Overpriced. Masiah, our server was Excellent! We were a rowdy bunch and he took great care of us. The drinks were subpar. Overly mixed and just NOT blended well. Me and ALL my sisters were totally dissatisfied with the overall experience.

Double D

Just go! You won’t be disappointed by the amazing food and the interesting ambiance. Their Juicy Lucy is amazing, but be sure to stab it first since it’s under pressure. The restaurant and bar staff are friendly and quick! 10/10

Akuoma Omeoga

The food was really good when I first tried it about ten years ago but when I went back it was a bit underwhelming. I appreciate a restaurant that can be consistent in terms of food quality. The service was pretty good though.

Stephen Blake

Amazing food and really cool location. Breakfast is the best, and they serve it all day. The lemon-ricotta hot cakes are a must try. Excellent cocktails and adult beverages options as well.

Jakob Ealy

Reasonably priced, great hang out spot downtown. Would come here after working overnights at Target. They have some of the best peanut butter!

Jared Pudwill

Went here with some friends last night and everything was amazing! The decor, live music, staff, and of course, the food. Definitely coming back the next time I visit Minneapolis.

Michael Kelly

Very busy Friday night, so slow at each step. Good food choices from prime rib (served at room temperature) to ham and pear sandwich (yum). Great art all around. Interesting evening

Theodore Klotter

The food was very good. I had a French dip sandwich. The Aujus was excellent and it was an all around good sandwich at a decent price for downtown. The atmosphere was designed to be dark, dungeon-like with a dash of macabre. Probably not the best dining experience for very young children who are easily disturbed. If not, as their sign says. . . "It's damn good food."

Leslie Murphy

I love this place. It is very loud cuz theres always a band. But it's a nice wake me up. I get brunch everytime I'm in town.

Tracey Watson

Interesting dining experience in downtown Mnpls. Exceptional food & fantastic menu selection. A must-do if you're in the area!

Nick Sampson

Group of 6 of us went for breakfast. Items able to be made are Gluten free clearly marked. Segregated fryers for tater tots and french fries. Gluten free buns, and english muffins. Waitress was great and knew her stuff (including gluten allergens) Everyone really enjoyed their food and were amazed at the house brand peanut butter.

Cheryl and Jim Boggs

My husband and I had dinner here while he was in Minneapolis for a business trip. He ordered a grilled cheese and fries, and I ordered a sandwich that had ham and cheese on it and fries. Our food was good. The atmosphere was interesting, dark and dungeon-like! Good place to eat!

Tyler Mailey

Fantastic breakfast! Great location! We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.

David Preiss

This place is a must visit. The Juicy Lucifer is worth all the hype. The staff was great and place had a good atmosphere. I will go back to this place again one day and I recommend anyone trying them out if you’re in the area.

Sarah Ruth Grimes

Came for mid morning breakfast on a weekday and didn't have a wait. Ordered the classic bloody and that is the best bloody I've had in this state. The pancakes are also to die for- you don't even need syrup! Will definitely be back to taste the rest of the menu!

Carolyn Garcia-Tyler

We loved every thing the blood orange marmalade and the peanut butter is amazing. We will definitely be coming again My son said the burger was amazing

Aidan Waite

A unique atmosphere unlike anything I've ever experienced anywhere else. Very welcoming. The severs were amazingly friendly and curtieous. The food was delicious... You have to try this place out for yourself!!!!!

Mary Kehoe

Fun place with good vibe. Popular with tourists. Service and food was was good for a really busy place. Prices reflect their popularity. But a destination spot to experience.

Kathleen Kinneberg

Had reservations for last evening. Excited to try the restaurant as we have heard good things. We were sat in the bar. It was not busy. We ordered drinks and an appetizer right away. When our drinks arrived, we ordered our dinner entrees. Appetizer never arrived. Took over 50 minutes for our actual entrees to come. We asked for another bloody mary and had to ask the waiter for it. He mumbled some words and walked away. 10 minutes later, bloody arrived. Our waiter never offered for us to have another drink, even though our glasses sat empty. We had to flag him down for the bill and when that finally came, we were overcharged on drinks. Our waiter states "oh that must have been when I put it in but forgot to order it." He fixed the bill and we paid then left.

Nikhil Sehgal

This place is an experience. The food isn't anything special but it's a great place to spend a couple of hours on a weekend. The decor is fantastic! There is live music and build your own bloody Mary. If you want a good sumptuous brunch this is not the place. If you want a good time with decent food Hell Yeah!

Gene Johnson

Every other visit to HK has been for breakfast which was always good. Because of this, before heading over to Orchestra Hall tonight we made a dinner reservation. Service was fine but the food was not. My wife had a Juicy Lucifer which was lacking and I had a Cobb Salad which is hard to screw-up. We may return for breakfast but never again for dinner!

Gary Tierney

My family took took me here for my birthday. A great choice. Loved the bloody Mary bar.

Doug Topping

Great location and fun MN experience. The decor is very specific to the area lots of fun sayings tie into MN culture. Despite the name this Hell's Kitchen isn't related to Gordon Ramsey.Good: The cheese curds were amazing and the menu was extensive with something for everyone and breakfast served all day. They have a fun gift selection of cute shirts and home made peanut butter.

Michael Galdenzi

This place has a cool ambiance and vibe. I really like sitting at the bar, even if I'm with a friend or two. Service is really good and the food is pretty unique. They were one of the first places in town to have the impossible burger and they have pretty good vegan options. This would be 5 star but the food isn't really worth the price. I feel like everything is $2 to $3 more than it should, but I guess that's downtown prices for you. I'll keep going back but would go more if there were better deals.

Diana Fernandez

Amazing. The server was very kind and the food was great. I had the 1/2 soup and sandwich tomato basil and grilles cheese.

Nick Butcher

Hell's Kitchen was super accommodating to our group of 30. Everyone loved the food. The service was fast. The price was reasonable. They even let me set up a prix fixe menu for our group. One note is that they only offer a local soda place for beverages. Not a bad thing, but definitely different.

Tyanna Gross

Came here for my sister's birthday and everyone in our party had come here before, this however was my first time. I was pretty disappointed in service. We made a reservation for 7pm our whole party arrived about 7:15 it seemed to be dying down as far as it being busy (2 big parties were paying to leave in our section). We had ordered drinks (lemonade and a 2 drinks from the bar) they came pretty promptly. We were waiting a while after drinks just to put in appetizers those came out prompty and delicious. Unfortunately after we had put our order for our entrees in we waited nearly an hour for our food to come out just mediocre. My boyfriend had ordered a medium rare burger and got seared raw meat. Kids mac and cheese and french fries at the table were cold and in addition to my salad I ordered another order of fries which I never got (or course i didn't pay for them) it was just a blah experience ...seems to be the curse of my sisters birthday. Every birthday dinner we've gone to the past few years has been far from exceptional service. The French dip was delicious though (I usually always order the right things).

T Remy

So glad we could get reservations during Final Four weekend!! Were here years ago (don't live here), very happy place is still going strong! Got here today about noon and the line to ask about table was up the stairs! At least 40 minutes for two, longer for bigger parties! We made dinner reservations instead, and it's busy but not out the door on Sunday night. The sausage bread is as excellent as we remember, and still love the homemade peanut butter!! Although the other jams are really good on the bread too...hard to say which is our favorite!! Ribs 1/2 rack was plenty for me tonight, and they have heat to them (for those of us who like mild)!! Very tender, garlic mashed helped put the flame out, as well as rest of chocolate Martini!! Now for lemon ricotta cheese cake!! Hubby had 8oz prime rib--nice (not the best ever that he has had, and he does it often). Had blue cheese butter with his mashed, which added another level of flavor, mixed veggies nicely seasoned. Very personable waitress, good about refills and checking on us! The cheese cake is light and nice lemon flavor. Hubby had the peanut butter ice cream from their homemade recipe... great, chopped peanuts stand out!! Forgot to stop eating the cheesecake for pic...try it!! Stop in down here when you are in town, it's a place to remember!!

ta byrd

Very unique art and decor. Staff pleasant. Food good. I had the Cajun walleye tacos, partner had prime rib sandwich- nothing spectacular. Minor disappointment as I like to enjoy a top shelf strawberry margarita occasionally and their margarita is premixed with tequila

Deborah Schumacher

This is such a quaint and fun place to go. Jazz music great food and great service

Roland K

I've been here a few times now. I had the walleye pike. It's was flavorful and I would have it again. The service was very good.

Abs Contreras

I got the Cheesy cheeseburger, can't think of the name rn but it was the one with the cheese stuffed patty. Very delicious. Their sweet spicy sauce is really good that comes as a side. The "spicy" burger is not that spicy without any add ons. Not a big variation of drinks but the ones they have are good. Awesome place to eat.

Lynne Halterman

Friend of mine went looking for coffee and found this amazing place. It was Saturday morning, we arrived with no reservations, (recommend reservations). We were welcomed to sit at the bar. It was great, fun atmosphere, amazingly friendly staff, or favourites a husband/wife team. The food was incredible. Try the lemon pancakes w/o syrup, and buy the cookbook.

Ludvig Stone

I went here for my friend bachelorette party and we loved our food. The place was decorated with scary theme, with dim lights and scary pictures hanging on the walls but the vibe was definitely lively. The chicken was well-seasoned; it almost tasted like Cajun chicken! The chicken had crispy crunchy skin and juicy meat; even the white meat wasn't dried! I enjoyed my chicken a lot and my friends enjoyed their dishes as well.

Cameron Young

Great food, fantastic service and a fun atmosphere.

Jordan Antonelli

Lotta personality. Not in a "my cousin is visiting and he needs a date, otherwise I can't go out, but he's got a lotta personality" sort of way. The other kind of way. Fun place, good selection of food, some of which is unique, good servers. Recommended.

Brandon P

Pros: the environment was cool, not necessarily 'serious' hell, but definitely hell themed. The environment is very conducive to relaxation and eating on your own time, but also I can imagine that it can be a pretty cool party spot as well. Not many TV of sporting events, so if that is your 'thing' probably not the best place to go, especially if it is busy. Cons: the food was delicious but regular. There really wasn't anything 'different' from your typical more upscale restaurant. The way that the website describes this place that it made me feel like it was a totally different experience and I am going to see something new. Not really... Probably the best part of the evening was the dessert, that was good.

Michael Freeman

Show the amazing breakfast. Time for second and third breakfast here. Please buy some extra before you leave. There's so many things to shop for here. Now to the. Try hard to push outside of your normal things you would like to eat. Everything here has pizzazz. I also love their location in Duluth.

Nick Turner

The food was good and service was too. We had a quick wait for a table over the lunch hour, but it wasn't too long. I work in the downtown Minneapolis area and will definitely be visiting again! This works well for business lunch visits as well as personal lunch visits.

Regina Hernandez

Fun flair from the door to the table. Servers are spunky too! Seating is all over but I'm happy we chose to reserve on a Saturday morning. If you're into bloody Mary or mimosas... you should get the $15 make-your-own ticket while you're here. It has more than what you can imagine to top your drink off! Get creative. Food was out quickly. Cheese curds. Walleye (fish) tacos. Lemon ricotta pancakes. The walleye could've been hit with salt but the fillings helped add flavor. Pancakes were good but I would've loved more lemon.

Joy Gray

Really good. Great service. As an out of towner we wanted to try to Juicy Lucifer. Was not disappointed. The cheese curds are also REALLY good.

James Barton

I ate there twice in one day. Had the "All American Breakfast" for lunch - and it was good, but nothing fancy. (They got it absolutely right, though.). Dinner was a group event with a limited menu, but the food was great! Interesting atmosphere. It's a little pricey - but it is located downtown.

Mark Roelfsema

Needs to be experienced! Great food, great cocktails, awesome servers and bartenders!

S Dodge

This place is solid. I always have great, professional service! They have something for everybody here. I’ve had lunch meetings, family brunch, and date night and all were a hit. Vegan, vegetarian, cocktail snobs, gluten free, adventurous eaters are all in my family and they all found something they liked!

Philip Ritchie

Gotta try it if you like Bloody Mary's as much as I do. Loved my soup and prime rib sandwich. Very friendly place.

Matthew Schumi

Horrible service. Food wasnt that good. The old timer band was cool however

Madison Wilson

The menu choices are generally unique and the food quality is outstanding. My hot cakes were also smashingly delicious. The atmosphere, service, and food come together here in such a perfect way. The service was fast. The price was reasonable. All staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Ricky DeMello

Got foot at the bar. Took a little longer than expected. That being said, the bartender was great and rather nice and the food was delicious!! The photographed meal is of the Impossible burger with sweet potato fries and would have been entirely vegetarian if I hadn't asked for the egg to be added. So.Very.Good!!

Mark Dighton

A fun place with a great vibe, good food and a great bar. Try the sausage bread and anything with their delicious homemade BBQ sauce. The only downside is that it's in a basement. Might be cozy in the winter, but some outdoor seating would be really nice in the summer.

Bonnie Montgomery

First time there. Was a fun place to try. Had live music, but wasn't too loud. Food was good, but could tell it had been sitting for awhile before it was brought out. Overall, though, was good. Would definitely go again!

The good the bad and the truth!

Meh.. it's definitely a tourist stop for sure! The bloody Mary and memosa bar is an experience and the homemade vodka blend is good but it's a little over priced in my opinion but you are paying for the experience. Food was okay tasted fine nothing special they serve breakfast all day which is a big draw I'm sure. Multiple dining and bar rooms can be overwhelming but helps make it feel less crowded.

Chrissy Jensen

Great menu, SUPER awesome server (Kylie) and really fun tshirt selection to take home a souvenir! I loved that our server was super knowledgeable about gluten and how to order so we could eat safely!

what you gonna do?

Really average food on this experience. Staff were helpful and wait time was short. Food just lacked the flavour of either was over powering

Ramona Combs

It was great, the atmosphere was fantastic, we were lucky to go on a night when there was life music, and the food was delicious! Loved the pepper jelly, I wanted to put it on everything. The peanut butter was like candy!

Emily Siebold

Love this place..excellent food and bloody Mary bar....and if your a peanut butter lover ,go to the gift shop and pick up a jar of their homade peanut butter goodness ...its amazing!

Nicholas Figel

Food was pretty good. I had the fish tacos. A friend of mine had the a burger and cheese curds. They were good as well.

Jed Weinert

Nice place to eat in MN area. Reasonable price and fast service. I will surely comeback and recommend the place to my friends.

Kimberly Bryant

The food was good, especially the Juicy Lucifer and the Walleye dinner.Great place for a Birthday celebration .

Jill Sheldon

What a fun place! Live music was awesome. Happy atmosphere. Friendly people hang at the bar. We just stopped in for an appetizer and drink, and definitely want to go back. Staff was happy and helpful.

Unique dining experience with alot of kitchen passion put into it. Hell themed decor scattered around the place, interesting flavor choices in the menu options. Very good food and even better atmosphere.

Hell's Kitchen is all it's name says...sans a moody Brit shouting at staff and tossing plates. They do mention an understanding between the popular TV show and the restaurant on the menu... apparently the restaurant had the name first. The place is sunk in a dark basement underneath a downtown building. Replete with quirky horror art, dungeon decor, and spicy cuisine, it's a unique experience in downtown Minneapolis. It claims it's homemade peanut butter as a source of local fame. I don't generally like peanut butter, but I tried it here, and it's pretty good! Two other Minnesota favorites populate the menu. Pan-fried walleye and the Juicy Lucifer (Hell's version of the Juicy Lucy) a burger with cheese cooked inside the patty that explodes out like hot lava at each bite. I opted for the walleye, which was flaky delicious, with a touch of spice. Overall, a recommended experience if you visit downtown Minneapolis.

The french dip is amazing! Fries with a dipping sauce sampler will blow your mind. The staff is incredible, the food is great, the ambience is perfect! Brunch, beer, sandwiches and some awesome dinner choices will make your experience awesome!

Jayne Walsh

Interesting place we never would have found without Google. Entrance is down a flight of stairs. Much larger place than it appears. Food is good, lots of choices. Good drink selection, local brews on draft. Will definitely return.

Gregory Wright

The place was on a 25-minute wait for 2 on a Monday. found a spot at the bar where the bartenders were very friendly and informative. Recommended the ribs and tots which did not disappoint.

Katrina Busick

Boozy drinks weren't great, the tots and curds were delicious (but how do you mess those up?) Lemon ricotta hotcakes we're good, but I wish there was a 1/2 order option.

Steve Stowers

Had a great dinner. The service was excellent, especially for a big group. The lemon ricotta pancakes were incredible. The ribs were cooked well, but the bbq sauce made it, and the drinks were excellent.

Erin McDaniel

My favorite restaurant in downtown mpls. I love their peanut butter. I love their mimosas. Everything is great.

Heather Breazile

Who doesn't enjoy live music!? Food was great as always and our waiter was very attentive.

Sam Wright

Fun atmosphere. When we went, there was a jazz combo playing that was absolutely tearing it up! Great choice in hiring them. My wife and I had just been engaged and when the waiter found out within a few moments he appeared with a complimentary dessert in the shape of a heart!! I frankly don't remember what I ordered, but it was a bit spicy which, I thought played into the whole theme very well.

Gmelvin Nichols

Need a few more visits, but great atmosphere for music appreciation. Great blues band playing the first weekends of the month.

Donald Macleay

Good food, decent prices and EXCELENT service.

Sommer Gentry

I am eating the best warm greens bowl that has ever been served or could ever be served on Earth right now, at hells kitchen. It has quinoa, eggs, avocado and lemon vinaigrette, and it is perfection. I love getting to eat veggies with breakfast and this has kale, spinach, cabbage, and carrots. Perfection.

Jan Griffin

Funky underground restaurant/bar. Started at brunch. Awesome lemon ricotta pancakes. Great Bloody Mary’s. The Bloody Mary bar is a bit of a gimmick but fun. Liked the menu enough we tried lunch another day. Fantastic burgers. Lots of things can be ordered Gluten Friendly. They had gf beer and buns for the burgers. They were packed on Final Four weekend but the service was great. We made reservations to avoid the line and were seated right away. Highly recommend.

Keith Swensson

Really great atmosphere and food. The sausage bread with peanut butter and lemon zest pancakes are to die for... but hopefully not in hell.

Dexter R

Excellent food. Had the deviled eggs, Lucifer burger, and walleye hash. The drinks were delicious. The coffee breakfast drinks hit the spot. Greta was awesome. Thanks for starting off my wife’s birthday celebration on a great note. Will be back next time we are in Minneapolis!

Brian Burton

We stopped in here for a couple of drinks, but unfortunately we didn't have time to eat here. The overall experience was very good.. great service and some very talented musicians were playing...planning on going back next time I'm up there.

Ryan Pangle

It was our Anniversary weekend and the staff made sure to make everything perfect! Two glasses of sparkling wine on the house and the food was very very good!! Awesome place to visit when you're in the Cities!!

SJP

Average at best, disappointed by the hype! Good service & nice people! Not a bad place but with the choices downtown way your choices carefully.

Randy Pierce

Pretty good food. Decent prices for the area. No it's not related to the hells kitchen TV show. The juicy Lucifer is really good. But give it a bit to cool down.

Carolyn Nuzzo

Nothing special. Thought this would be more unique eats to the region freshly prepared. Felt like a regular chain fast food restaurant.

Willie Alexander

Great food, wonderful atmosphere. They had s live band playing blues music. (Try the porridge it's decadent.)

Awesome food, awesome wait staff, and really fun dark decor. Definitely worth a visit!

Kelli Brodersen

Best French Dip I've ever had! Staff was friendly, and the vibe was cool.

Brannon McCullough

My type of place. Fun and weird with new and creative food and drink to enjoy. I will keep coming back for more.

Jamie Klatke

Hell's kitchen was a really awesome experience. All the employees were nice and helpful. Its definitely a Halloween feel and a big place with multiple rooms and levels. Would reccommend!!!

Monica Xiong

The build your own bloody Mary bar was awesome! I really appreciate how they have someone at the entrance to guide you through everything. Food was amazing as well. Definitely get the parmesan tots!

Connor Lindahl

Not from the city but I can get better food for half the price in my small town

Jeremy Wolf

Awesome little themed restaurant, I was only visiting from WI But I'm sure that place shines when live music is added, a little pricey for my taste but overall I'd say worth it.

Lydia Dobberstein

Don’t be confused- this place isn’t the Gordon Ramsay restaurant. It also looks a lot like it’s name- hell. Otherwise the food was decent.

Michael Mosley

A great place for breakfast. They have an old fashioned porridge that is incredible. Also the make your own Bloody Mary bar on the weekends is the best in the cities. You can actually get a breakfast lunch and dinner on one skewer in you glass. The service is great and the ambiance is quite unique. I gave this restaurant a bad review one year ago when I was having a bad day. This restaurant can absorb all the bad reviews it gets thrown at it as it is awesome. Had breakfast here and ordered the lemon pancakes which are to die for. Going to come back as soon as I can. Sorry about the bad review but honestly this place is bulletproof it's so good.

William Porter

Really impressed with this restaurant. Trusted the mostly solid reviews and was not disappointed. A relatively light-hearted “hell” theme, starting with the fact that it is located one flight down from street level and extending to some of the menu items. Had the tater tot appetizer and their ham & pear crisp sandwich, both of which were excellent. Took a caramel-pecan roll to-go for breakfast the next morning.

M Brun

Not that this review matters among the 3500 others, but here it is anyway. Food was all really good for breakfast and perfect cup of “diner” coffee. Only negative is not enough walleye in the walleye/hash breakfast. The onions & celery should be like the mushrooms in the dish, just to compliment the fish, eggs, potatoes. Instead, there was way too many onions & celery used as filler because they’re cheap. Well for a $15 breakfast plate, don’t be cheap; use more fish, less filler! Again, flavor was perfect once 1/3 my plate of onions & celery scraped aside. And yes the peanut butter is that damn good!

denise powell

The food was amazing.!! This herb roasted chicken. It was so tender.

Kennesha Adolphin

Man, what a fabulous dining experience. That bison sausage is really all that is needed. So savory. My hot cakes were also smashingly delicious.

Katy Brown

Insanely good. The gluten free options don't feel like you're missing anything. I had the Eggs Benedict, porridge, AND a gluten free english muffin with homemade peanut butter because you have to try EVERYTHING. The peanut butter really does taste like orange marmalade. It's incredible. This is a must visit place, be sure to make a reservation, and it is a good idea to walk because there is a high likelihood of food coma.

Michelle Colson

Delicious!! Good service...but not quick if you are in a hurry. Delightful breakfast options!!! The peanut butter is oh so good. And the cheese curds are a must, with the hot pepper jelly sauce!! Looking forward to trying lunch here!!

Victoria Pauling

Amazing caramel rolls! I’d come back just for those! My juicy Lucy burger was also incredible as were the fries and ranch! Definitely coming back here!

Mason Schram

This place is definitely worth the try! Within walking distance of the DoubleTree on LaSalle, only about a five minute walk. I had the "Juicy Lucifer" burger and it was amazing. The jelly sauce that they give you to put on it is one of the best sauces I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

Shane Oborn

I have been coming back here for many, many years. I typically favor restaurants with lots of window light, but this is not Hell's vibe - and that's totally fine with me in this case! The basement bar, live entertainment, intriguing decor, always good music piped in, and .... on and on. Oh yeah, the food is damned good as well! The place has great energy, great servers and bar tending. I never shake a stick at anyone's suggestion to stop in. Thanks for running a great business Hell's Kitchen!

Cassie Willett

At this time, I can’t say I would recommend Hell’s Kitchen. We have been twice, but i would like to give it another shot to seal the deal. Our first time going was a great experience—great service and amazing food (we particularly love their parmesan tots). However, our most recent visit was met with poor service and cold, overcooked food. I think we just had a poor server (or maybe he was having a bad day?). Either way, it seemed weird given our first experience. So I guess, to be continued...

Elevator: Get off at L or LL. You will end up at HK either way. Items Ordered: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes -4/5 Classic All America. Breakfast w/Maple Glazed Bison Sausage. 4/5 Slow roasted pit Ham: 4/5 We ended up splitting both entrees and left feeling "good full". Highlights: ° Lemon Ricotta Pancakes remind me of crepes. Light. I would recommend add a dab of their BlackBerry? Mixed Berry? jam as it tasted wonderful with the pancakes, instead of the syrup. ° Homemade Peanut Butter and Jams- please do order a side of toast and make your own PB&J. Its delicious! ° Ham should be consumed in smaller portions. It's a thick cut so a small pieces goes well with eggs or hash. Service 5/5 Our server was courteous and patient. Didn't do the helicopter Coffee Refill that drives me nuts at some places but asked before refilling my mug.

Megan Scott

Great service! Get the lemon ricotta pancakes and the in house fresh made peanut butter and jams. Get a reservation otherwise you'll probably have to wait.

Bob Christie

My Son loves the French Dip.. I tried the Prime Rib. Good stuff. Our waiter was great. I'll be back.
