Was craving soup and salad for lunch and they happened to have a lunch special with soup & salad. You can choose from 3 salads, I got the cranberry walnut salad, added grilled chicken breast (super juicy and cooked perfect) and the tomato basil soup. The soup was a chunky soup with a lot of flavor. Great stop!

Really fantastic food, lovely decor, and excellent service. I was impressed by the quality from start to finish. I had one of their amazing burgers and subbed tater tots with bacon ketchup for my side. The burger was cooked perfectly. The bun was delicious. The tots were fairly large and full of flavor. It was a little weird that I only got seven tots, though. I mean, they were big, but not that big.

Really good food. I had the turkey sandwich and it was one of best I've ever had. Our server Danielle was great. Kids had the French dip and they didn't like it. Said it was too oily and fatty.

Had a really good time Sunday morning got there for brunch.. I had the French toast which was amazing the way they do theirs up was so yummy and different the flavor was also really good! My husband got the BlackBerry burger it looked amazing and the small taste of the hashbrowns that he let me have were super good. We were also there with our son and he was more excited about my French toast vs his kids cheeseburger well I had a taste or two and that was a dang good burger! I loved that they offer mainly local stuff and the atmosphere was a lot of fun! I cant wait to go back!!! My only sad point was we really wanted to sit on the patio since it was a beautiful morning but we were told no tables for 3 out there so I guess until we are a family of 4 we wont get to enjoy the patio

Food was absolutely fantastic. Had the Brie cheese curds (saw it was recommended and I now know why, it's great!), Ahi tuna poke (very good but a little bit of a different spin on poke than I anticipated) and some key lime pie (super sour which is so good). Would certainly check this place out again if I was ever in the area. Staff is awesome.

Hazelwood does a great job overall. Service is extremely good - professional and friendly. It's an easy walk from the Mall of America - right across 24th Ave - and the food is good quality and well executed. Great place to grab a business lunch or a cocktail after work. I have dined here for work, with family, and solo. Sunday Brunch is pretty good - but others that are very close are a bit better. Overall, a great experience. It's a cut above the national chain crowd in the immediate area without being horribly overpriced.

Although a bit pricey fir the plate size, the service and food was exceptional. The waiter was highly attentive to my dietary restrictions. I couldn't have asked for better service. One negative take away is that i love tater tots and theirs comes with cheese... so sad. My coworker was not happy with the tater tots taste/quality. But the 4 stars was well deserved by the level of service.

A new favorite find for brunch or anything that makes your taste buds go wild. Our server Emily was fabulous and made the food adventure perfect. The prime rib hash was a mouthful of taste explosion...foodgasim at its best. Perfectly poached eggs...perfect dish. A favorite. Thank you for an amazing time.

When I travel, I like to try as many new places as possible. Dinner was so good here, we went back for their Saturday brunch. We were just as happy the second time around. Our servers were friendly and knowledgeable. While this place isn't exactly cheap, they could easily get away with charging more for the quality of food they serve. I've recommended it to several friends who will be in the area this fall. The tuna tartar was perfect and the capers were a nice unexpected touch. The pork chops were also amazing and I will be attempting to recreate their cheese hash browns at home.

The food looked great and I've been here before and had great food but this time the ribs we're so tough it was like eating beef jerky. I have mentioned it to the server but nothing really happened of it. I would also think it's kind of obvious that it wasn't good food when all I did was eat one part of the ribs and send it back.

Came in from out of town and this was one of the food places google gave us to eat. Had no idea what to expect going in. Was NOT disappointed with anything. Food was absolutely incredible as was the service. We have nothing bad to say about this place. Exceeded our expectations by far!

Simply amazing. The staff was extremely nice and polite and they got us our food and drink promptly. We got the sirloin steak and the chicken. The steak was incredible. Eating it felt like an explosion of flavor in my mouth. The chicken was so perfect that it almost melted in your mouth. Everything tasted amazing. Along with this, the food also looked amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant fit perfectly with the food. If you are visiting, definitely come here. This was probably one of the highlights of my 2 day visit.

Attractive, welcoming appearance. Food was OK with some variations to classic recipes. Very friendly and helpful staff. So why a rating of 2? Because of the flies circling, just waiting for the opportunity to land on the food. We spent the 45 minutes we were in the restaurant keeping them away. Saw several other customers throughout the restaurant also being bothered by insects. Did not make for an enjoyable experience.

Should have written about this place a long time ago. Had an excellent meal here with friends back in the spring. We shared everything and the food was excellent. Great service and craft cocktails as well. Highly recommended. Don't eat at the mall, stop in here!

I had the chicken pie, which by itself was good but not great. A good chicken pie has a nice thick gravy and the chicken Falls apart because it's been in the oven for an hour and a half. This was more soupy, but the flavor was good and the crust was nice. my friend and I sat at the bar because they were so busy. I think this is the way to go for lot of restaurants because the bartenders are good with watching if you need something. And they make conversation, too, which is nice if you are traveling alone. Hazelwood has a good menu of tasty food served hot. The music is the right volume, not too low, not too high. They are in a great location next to the Mall of America. My friend really liked his dish of wood fired shrimp and scallops, and a side is mushrooms. I also had a cup of beef and barley soup, all good. The food and bar were good, and they have a really nice atmosphere. I would come back without hesitation.

I had rotisserie chicken, fabulous! Tasted pork chop, also fabulous . Unfortunately, they lost power (power company issues) so we couldn't try dessert, but they comped our meals since they couldn't process credit cards. Wonderful service too. We will definitely be back!

Went here for a business lunch and the restaurant was perfect for this! Nice, open restaurant with lots of different seating options. The chicken on the Santa Fe salad was amazing, so pay the extra for pulled chicken if your meal offers it (if you eat meat); it's delicious! I will be back for dinner soon!

Great family restaurant. I had chicken with mushrooms and capers over angel hair. Enjoyed an "old fashion" and they had my favorite bourbon. I had creme brulee and it was deelish with all fresh berries on top. Service was outstanding and the service time quick! Wow. Being somewhat of a “foodie” as I live in New Orleans, I might have just had the best burger I’ve ever eaten. To tired to venture out for dinner, I called in and ordered the juicy Linus with tater tots expecting a typical “chain restaurant “ dinner. The burger was absolutely amazing and the tots were like any I’ve ever tried. Great job!

After a slight rough start we were finally seated on the patio just after opening. We were greeted by Danielle who was an absolute delight. Her polite professionalism calmed our initial confusion as to the delay in our seating. Drinks and food were ordered on the first round as my wife and I had to hit the road for a five hour road trip. The taste of every dish ordered was complimented by at least a few people at the table as we did a bit of sharing for maximum experience. Daneille shared a personal funny story which was an immediate ice breaker. We all laughed and continued to enjoy the warming sun on a beautiful patio with fantastic food and drink. We were then checked on by a smiling manager which was a very nice touch, I can tell these folks care about hospitality. Overall this place deserves your business, ENJOY!

Met a group of my girlfriend's here for dinner for the first time and was blown away! The food and service were top notch. Stacey was our server and she was so nice and let us really enjoy our experience and food. We shared the spicy chicken meatballs and the brie cheese curds. The meatballs were my favorite! The cheese curds weren't my cup of tea but still okay. For my entree I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich with coleslaw. The sandwich was served like a french dip with juice on the side for dipping. My friends ordered the walleye and the turkey avocado sandwich and both enjoyed their meals. The ambience was warm and welcoming. I would recommend making reservations as it was quite busy when we went on a Thursday night after happy hour. This is hands down my new favorite place to eat. I will be back soon!

This place is legitimately awesome. Great ambiance, fast and friendly service, and delicious food. The specials always knock it out of the park. They have classics but add really smart little twists that make them special. The clay pot dishes are amazing- the pot pie is phenomenal. Prices are also very reasonable for what you get. Took a chance and decided to eat here because it was so close. Best chance I have taken in a long time. Everything I ordered looked and tasted as if it were made from scratch. You have to get the crunchy tater tots or the bacon mac and cheese balls. Both of these were amazing, probably in my top ten appetizers. The Juicy Linus was their take on The Juicy Lucy, both of which I have tried. Lucy is definitely old news. If you eat here you will not be disappointed.

The food is good & prices are reasonable. The service was good considering how busy they were. Healthy options are few & far between. Surface level parking is inadequate, but there is a parking structure there, so parking isn't impossible. The downside for me is it's very loud inside. Hard to have a conversation in there. For those who like a lively place, I would recommend it. For those wanting a more intimate affair, I'd pass on this one.

This is one of my go to restaurants when I’m in the Twin Cities. They have some of the best fresh food that is flown in from all around the country. I have been here 7 times and have yet to have a bad waiter or waitress. Easily a place I would recommend to anyone wanting a higher quality meal and dining experience. A great atmosphere in a great location, I will definitely be dining here many more times to come.

Hazelwood is so delicious! Every time I’ve been here I’ve ordered something new, which is rare for me to try new things. The cocktails, appetizers, main entrees and desserts all do not disappoint. Aside from the main menu, they have a small rotating menu of a few specialty dishes which is a nice offering. Every day they also offer a different soup. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is lovely! The open space is inviting and is a welcomed place for any meal. I recommend this restaurant all the time and have been here with to celebrate family, as well as for date nights.

Nice place. We were put in the party room for our anniversary which was not ideal and they were unable to accommodate is being moved to the main room. Servers were slow at getting to us, likely because we were so split off from the rest of the restaurant. Next time I will ask to not be put in the party room which is not nearly as nice as the main restaurant. Food was ok but nothing special.

The only reason I took off one star is because I think most of the menu is a bit overpriced. Other than that, 5-stars all around. Service, atmosphere, and quality of food were excellent. The wood fired pizzas were reasonably priced for the size. We tried the Sweet & Salty and it was absolutely amazing. I think we'll come back sometime and just do a pizza night. There are gluten free buns for the burgers and gluten free crust for the pizza, if that's something you're concerned about. However the fryer is shared, so if you're particularly sensitive or have a gluten allergy, you probably can't eat the fried food. They have a good selection of reasonably priced beer, both bottled and on tap. Making a reservation via Google Maps (Open Table) was super simple and quick. We got right in at our scheduled time with zero waiting, and it was quite busy that night. Overall, give Hazelwood a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The wood fire rotisserie chicken was the best I've ever tasted as I've had other rotisserie chicken but over a spit over charcoal. The desserts are delicious and big enough to share with 1-2 others as we ordered 2 and it was too much. The Brie burger was delicious but the Linus Burger was okay but lacking excitement. We were told the peppered salmon and steaks are something to try...

We went for happy hour. We should have just ordered meals. Here are my thoughts: chicken tacos, the chicken and tortilla are good. The salsa and cheese do not go well together, truffle fries were great. Wings were nice and crispy, but quite bland. Queso seemed very processed. Order a meal instead.

Atmosphere is great and the bar area is good. I’ve usually had good food here but last time was extremely disappointing. The chicken wings were so dry, the pizza didn’t have flavor, and the burger wasn’t done in the middle. Although the wine was really good. This is still a good place for the bar and happy hour but I won’t go back for dinner.

A bit pricey, good flavor, not enough kick for me but then I like spicy and bold. Had the smoked rotisserie chicken and found myself drizzling hot sauce, pepper, and salt on the chicken Curiously salt/pepper weren't on the tables by default. Had the truffle fries. Tasty, but was frowned upon when I asked for ketchup. Taco appetizers were good but again had to drizzle hot sauce on it. I'm from out of town so won't visit again anytime soon. The whole place smells like a hickory fireplace in a lodge on the ski slopes out west...which is great if you like that. Which I do. Service was excellent. Only 4 stars cause so expensive. Very busy on a Wednesday evening.

We went there for my birthday, thinking it would be a cool experience and atmosphere, which it was. However, we ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was the worst we had ever had, lack seasoning, wasn't fried enough, and just overall poorly done. The lobster mac and cheese was good, but way overpriced for the portion they gave you. The mac and cheese balls, however, were cost effective and delicious. The Beyond Expectations burger was something I wanted to try just for fun, and was under seasoned and overdone. The shrimp and scallops was $26 and you received maybe 4 shrimp and 2 scallops. And top it all off my friend told them it was my birthday and they brought me out their birthday sundae, which was something I could've easily made at home for 50 cents. Also they didn't tell us this, but when we got the bill they charged us 5 DOLLARS for a 50 cent sundae, on my birthday!

I was looking forward to a nice Happy Hour this past Thursday afternoon after work. I was parking in the lot beside the Grind coffee shop around 3:00 and noticed a woman out in the back of your restaurant having a cigarette. I went inside and sat at the bar. Moments later, the same woman (a taller gal with a pony tail) was standing at the food line, and I saw her handle some food with her bare hands! Wondering if she even washed her hands after her smoke, I immediately lost my appetite. I'm assuming that this person is a supervisor there, because I witnessed her talk down to a couple different wait people. I was really turned off by the whole experience. I paid for my one drink and left. I won't be back.

Basic at best. For the price I'd say you can easily find a better brunch spot. Had the four protein combo, with rotisserie chicken, and I'm pretty sure that it was microwaved. Outside of the dish was cold middle was hot, chicken was cold and greasy. Must be using left over chicken from the night before?

I’ve eaten here in a number of occasions, They seem to be busy every night, it appears to be a social destination as much as restaurant. The service is consistently appropriate. The soups here are all very nice, the entrees are interesting, tasty and properly presented and the cocktails and desserts are good as well.

My wife and I took my mother-in-law to Hazelwood for her 90th birthday tonight. We did not have a reservation, but Sam Kimbrough and staff were very kind and accommodating. The food is ALWAYS delicious here as we dine here several times a year. I have never met Sam and was very happy when my wife told me they were able to sit us. Grateful!

Hazelwood has a really nice brunch menu on the weekends and a fantastic dinner menu every night. Cherry and hickory wood fired rotisserie makes for wonderfully flavorful chicken that they offer in several menu items. I really enjoy coming here with friends. Restaurant staff is fun and professional. Highly recommend a visit here.

First time passing through Minneapolis and found this gem! I had the chicken pot pie and it was great! Fresh hot and not like any I have had before. Definitely recommend it. My daughter had the baby lettuce wedge salad and don't let the name fool you. It was a full portion salad. Also delicious. Restaurant was beautiful, service was great, but the wood grill smell was the BEST part.

Great food, service, drinks. Walleye fish and chips, simply mouth watering delicious. The fish was light, crispy, and piping hot. Not cheap but reasonable prices. Will definitely return.

We just stopped in for a beer and had a great time. Great bartender (very friendly and knowledgable, attentive but not intrusive), more than adequate tap beer selection, nice/comfortable surroundings. AND they had both MLS and Premier League games on TV (oh, and the Twins game, too). We did not eat today but plan to come back ... the menu had a wide spread of offerings, some healthy, some decadent, and all reasonably priced. They wood-fire roast the chicken that is used widely in the menu: BBQ chicken pizza, chicken sandwiches, chicken salad, etc. (There is a wide variety of "non-chicken" and vegetarian items available, too.) The place is convenient to many hotels, a light-rail station and the Mall of America. We'll definitely be back!

The Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs were great treat to start the meal. For my main course I had the Short Rib Linguine. The Short Rib was cooked to perfection. Tender, fall apart and juicy. The seasoning and the cream sauce with asaparagus, tomatoes, and wild mushrooms was delicious. This was an exceptional pasta offering. I finished the meal with the Key Lime Pie. Beautiful presentation in a reconstructed pie. The crust was nut based and delicious. The Key Lime was a tangy delicious pie. If you prefer the “under flavored, sweet pies” that parade as a pseudo key lime in the Midwest, then this might be a shock to your taste buds. This tangy lime is proud of its flavor! A refreshing finish to the meal!

The food was good BUT there are some fixes that oughtta be made. Like , they seem to pride themselves on the gluten free options but they don’t have a dedicated GF fryer. So we couldn’t have fries because of this. Makes other things seem less trustworthy. ALSO ITS FREEZING. Bring a jacket.

Lovely place to have a date night and low-key enough to bring the family. Steaks were done perfectly and the mashed potatoes were awesome. Sides had to be ordered seperately but it was a good portion for sharing.

This is the place to eat in Bloomington! The food AND the service AND the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! From the cloth napkins to the cured maple bacon in my bourbon to the the perfectly cooked flank steak (medium rare)...just wonderful! The price is consistent with the quality and worth every penny! Food was pretty good for a Monday night stop. The plates were tasty and fresh. The service was rather uncomfortable. Our waiter kept throwing things at our table and talking at us while completely avoiding any regular eye contact the whole time. The place wasn't too busy but our waiter was rash and sloppy. That was a bummer compared to the quality of the food.

I tried the crispy shrimp deviled eggs and the juicy linus burger. The burger itself is kind of dry asides from the grease. There really wasn't much flavor to it and they only provided one pickle. The French fries were probably the best part of the entire meal. I love deviled eggs, but honestly the crispy shrimp on top doesn't mix to well with the flavor, in fact it kind of devalues the entire deviled egg and then ruins the fried shrimp. Separated, they would be great. But just doesn't work well together. My server after giving me my appetizer came back before my main dish was served and asked me if I wanted a box. It was overall super weird and I had to ask for a straw as it was not provided. Honestly, I would not recommend this to any of my friends or family and will never be back.

Mothers Day brunch was done really well! Friendly, polite staff and all the food on the buffet was excellent. Lots of food choices as well from prime rib, walleye, chicken and dumplings, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, etc. Our server was prompt always within a couple minutes of being available and you never had any plates stack up when you came back from your second, third trip tip the buffet room. Well done!

Hazelwood service is awesome! Jessica the server is amazing!!! My girlfriend and I have been there three times now and have continued to ask for her section and service since the first time. Her personality and service is so welcoming that it keeps us coming back. She knows the menu, is very professional and personable and always recommends great food selections. She was so friendly and down to earth that we felt like friends immediately! This kind of service is so hard to find when going out that I rarely have a more than one visit at most places. We will continue to have our once a month visit to Hazelwood especially because of Jessica. I should also mention my compliments to the chef(s). The food is AMAZING! The atmosphere here is casual but elegant but overall, one hundred percent comfortable. I do however have to give the kudos to Jessica as I am all about service and since it sucks most places (now more than ever), this is the ONE reason I will keep going back. Food can be good but if service sucks, I will never go back. FIVE stars go to her first, second the chef(s) and of course finally, the restaurant/management. I hope they know what they have going and keep it real! Staff is the "one on one" with customers and what makes it work so they should never forget to appreciate them. I will recommend Hazelwood to friends and will encourage them to make reservations under Jessica's section so they are guaranteed to have the best possible experience that I always have!!!!

Food was ok and drinks were pretty good. One thing we had a hard time getting over was the periodic air traffic because of the proximity to the airport. If jet engines were less loud, this patio would be a nice little spot!

Had a great brunch on Saturday morning here. We sat on the patio which was very nice. The inside was also really bright and open, but with how nice it was we couldn't pass up sitting outside. The service was fantastic and the food was great! My wife got the chicken pot pie, and I got the sunrise burger. The Gouda hash browns on the burger were absolutely fantastic. We'll definitely be back the next time we have a weekend free!

Well, this place looks great. It's absolutely stunning inside. I was very disappointed with my wings. They tasted like they were dumped out of a bag frozen. I couldn't even eat them. My entire, however, was delicious. Would I return? Most likely not. For one the service wasn't great and I didnt feel as though it was a warm and welcoming experience.

My husband's chicken parmesan chicken wings with ranch dipping sauce was quite tasty. And the shrimp corn chowder was pretty good, tad bit sweet. My salmon was a bit disappointing and the asiago mashed potatoes were too. But the atmosphere is pretty nice.
