We went here once a while ago and the food was cold. It was gross. Yes you could see steam but it was super cold. Not sure if this has changed- the waitress was not interested when we complained. Have not and will never be back.

Not only was there a limited selection of food, but what did look palatable was cold by the time I walked back to my table. The selection of "sushi" was also pretty rough looking. Just ate here last night and haven't been feeling well since. Also the bathrooms were disgusting and in desperate need of a remodel. I won't be back.

DO NOT EAT HERE! The food was room temperature. I said something to the server and she ignored me. The few dishes that were hot were not very good. Couldn't even have a salad because the salad bar was not stocked. Would not be surprised if we got food poisoning. They should be reported to the health inspector.

Since the remodel, the inside looks so much better. On slower days, the food isn't the greatest since they are not cooking much, but on busy days, they are always putting out fresh food - And they are now serving SUSHI. Not too bad of a buffet.

Staff was friendly, but strangely they made you pay for your meal and a tip voucher of $5.00 before you could eat? Bad experience!! Never again!! I thought it would be like the Great Moon in Maplewood. Not even close.

Ok food but great service! The food is not that high end but for the price and variety it was really good! Best of all was the service, we walked in around an hour before and immediately all the staff were very attentive. Very nice and accommodating, even asking us what we want freshly made. Never took your plates, at least I didn't get mine taken away. Not too much seafood, consider its called seafood buffet, even no crab? We went there around 3 pm, food was refresh constantly at that time. The variety food selection is always good, you cant expect more from a buffet, which cost you 11 bucks for lunch.

Excellent seafood selection on Sunday evening: whole sauteed shrimp w/ jalapenos, fried squid, fried whole fish, oysters, clams, baked fish, crab, crawfish, deep fried battered cod, seafood mix. Lots of fruit: oranges, canned peaches, canned mandarin oranges, fresh cantaloupe, fresh pineapple, fried banana (plantain?), the sliced fresh mango was a pleasant surprise. White rice was moist. Sushi and salad bar were OK. Great fried chicken wings. Soft-serve ice cream. Only a couple beef options. Excellent service. Cost: 12.20

Things were almost empty, and not going to be refilled. We weren't told this until after we already paid and were seated! The manager kept yelling" Five minutes! Five minutes!" even though they continued to seat new customers. We had never had an award winning time here anyway, but that was enough for me! We noticed regulars were treated respectfully...our kids were too slow, apparently. No thanks.

Went there at 730 on a sunday had to pay full price $13.62 for dinner and the only thing fresh was the rice. Everything else was old and they did not bring nothing new out even tho there were a lot of customers and had 90 minutes before closing . Food was disgusting! Only thing edible was rice and the ice cream from the machine. Cheap asses!

A big selection, big salad bar and reasonable sushi selection....The 5 pepper shrimp is delicious.....good service....just don't come around closing time of course as they are starting to run out of some entrees which is to be expected. Used to like coming here but last time I came it was a HORRIBLE experience and not sure if I'll ever go back. Went on a Sunday evening with and hour and a half left to close. There were approximately 35 people still there and none of the food was fresh and many bins were empty. The staff was clearly trying to save money. Had to pay nearly $14 for food I wouldn't feed my dog!

The chicken was the only decent Asian item I sampled here. I was embarrassed by how much I left on the plate. Once I understood what the deal was, I tried a few other things without success including a piece of pizza. It's pretty bad when the best thing was the pizza and I didn't want to bother with dessert.

The Orange chicken was very tender and im happy to say there was very little to no fat. The music is very mystical but not to loud. There are 2 exit signs so you know there are 2 exits very helpful. Service is very friendly so dont come here if you dont want unwanted attention. The noodles are super sliky and noce touch with the onions. I still havent left yet, I do recommend it.

very very good selection of food, however taste s bland n awful n sometimes not fresh. If you are looking to stuff yourself, just like what I used to, then this place is good. if you are looking to get something fancy and fulfilling, then this place is good. If you want service (meaning cleaning your plate at least once during your total 3-4 plate eating) and flavor (meaning real good food), then don't expect much from it--it is a buffet.

They really like to rip you off on the carry outs. You get plenty more at some of the others. They like to hike the price for just a little sea food too. So it's best to go inside and eat like crazy and stick it to them.lol If there's another recession this place won't last, as I have seen places like this close down frequently around the country during last recession.

Large selection, a lot of choices. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. You can tell they cater to a lot of people that don't know Chinese flavors. Everything was kind of bland. And, I didn't see any hot oil. The service wasn't good at all. Waitstaff seemed more interested in gossip than coming to get used plates or fill drinks. We waited a long time for a water refill. Not bad if you know how to doctor things up. I usually judge a place by the bathroom cleanliness. These were horrendously taken care of. I was afraid to touch anything.

First I asked a worker when they will be bringing more and he just plainly ignored me like I don’t exist. I went straight in his face and he looked at me and went on his merry way. So I asked an Asian lady that was coming in and out the kitchen and her response “I’m very busy” and so? I’m a paying customer...you have ran out of an entree and I’m requesting more...it won’t take more than 5 seconds to respond. She only responded AFTER I said I was going to get a bad review. SHAME! That was very rude of them. Every employee lacks professionalism. This great moon ruins the name for others. Thank God I’ve been to the one on White Bear Ave and I know they are good.

Wait staff was very nice and quick to refill drinks. Isn't the best food, nor is it cooked to perfection like a real Chinese restaurant should be. I way over paid for the food. Broccoli wasn't cooked properly in the Chicken and broccoli, There isn't much of a variety of Chinese food just a few here and there. I'm not a food critic nor a chef but I could make better Chinese food at home and it would be more authentic.

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because I was not going to go to the one in West st Paul and pay $15/person. This pace had such a reasonable price! My husband and I dined for under $25. We both also had pop which was already included in the amazing price. For starters, the food is hot. You can see it steaming the second you walk in. The food was actually pretty decent for the price. They had a good selection. For dinner they had a good seafood selection but the crab were pretty small. I only saw one dish with beef so that's a bummer because beef is my favorite and I was hoping there was more. The sushi is decent and the soups, salads, and fruits were all good. The front cashier is a little boy. Probably 11 years old or so. The way he talks was rude but heck, hes a child. The waitress is very nice but she never once came to check for refills. The waiter however made sure our plates were taken away as soon as we were finished eating. That's awesome because I hate plates piling up. All together, the ultimate reason I took one star away is because you can tell the food has been sitting there for some time because there were probably only a few other couples and a family there while we were there. But as soon as the food is done, they bring a new one out. They always start with a small tray because of course there weren't a lot of people. But the food taste-wise was good. I love the price and I'll be returning when I crave for Chinese again.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when I was in the area and thought Chinese food!!! The restaurant looked good the host was friendly, but the food was horrible, I ate more than I should just to see how bad it could’ve gotten and honestly the food was rotten. I can’t believe even the rice was bad Chinese rice? How could they have gotten that wrong? Either they just don’t care anymore about their restaurant or the health of paying customers. I’ve never had Chinese food this awful. I’ve read other comments and I’m not sure if those people were at the same restaurant cause the food is bad the need chef Ramsey to straighten them out I sure can’t do it. Felt nauseous when I left. Haven’t felt nauseous in a very long time. They are doing an bang up job in there. DONT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! (At least Not for the food) They get a star for not being a complete dump.

Best Customer Service I had ever had! Came 30min before closing, they still welcome us in! Even after hours, they were still happy to help us! The food was fantastic as well! Best buffet food I ever had! The price was cheap and it was worth the food! Next time I come back to MN, I would definitely come back here to eat! Smaller variety of food than the Great Moon in Maplewood, which goes by the same name but different owners. Even though I called ahead to confirm it included sushi, they do not include protein in their rolls, except egg, which was just as bland and not fresh like the others in their limited selection, which was not maintained. The cocktail shrimp were past their prime, and the service was very lacking.

For the surrounding Columbia Heights area this is a great Buffett. Foods kept at a consistent temperature, staff greets you and constantly fills your beverage and is moderately priced.
