This Restaurant is included in the category of Latin American restaurant.
Still the best place to dine in terminal #2. Great service and pretty decent room to sit. Menu is just right for pre-flight nosh.
Wow! A completely unlikely and refreshing airport dining experience! Super fresh ingredients, tasty food and drinks, lovely service. I fly around an awful lot and I wish for more restaurants at airports like this.
I really enjoyed the veggie enchiladas. The ingredients seemed very fresh and the side of beans appeared to be made from scratch. It was a bit spicy, which I loved, but others may balk at the kick. Super friendly bartender with a solid pour. It may be the only game in town for terminal 2, but it is a good game.
Great service. Food awesome! Nice ambiance.
Worst experience at an airport restaurant/ bar. My party and I settled at a table. After 10 minutes of no service, we went to the bar to order our drinks. After we ordered the bartender said, "Your waitress will be with you." So we went back to our table thinking our drinks would be served by our waitress. Time goes by and the bartender is standing there doing nothing and serving new customers. We go up there again and ask where our drinks are. The bartender replies, "I told you the waitress would be over to take your order," with attitude. And we explained to him we got confused, thinking he meant the waitress would give our drinks not take our order. Then he responded, "I'm not gonna help you with your attitude." Really?
Great food fantastic bar good selection of beers and Tequilas and overall just a really enjoyable happy hour.
Its an airport bar that serves some pretty average Mexican food. Not many choices in this terminal, this one is probably the best.... But the service is slow (unless you are at the bar), the food is average (plus you really want to eat Mexican before sitting on a plane?), and the prices are typical airport bar. Literally this place exist in EVERY single airport in America. Why ever someone would read a review is comical. Thumbs up to you if you made it this far in my "review"
Great hang out spot for large groups! Delicious food and outstanding margaritas. Great ambiance.
This could be the worst food I’ve had in a while. How do you mess up a skirt steak taco. And a $9 salad. The only reason they exist is they have a corner on the market in the airport. Beer is good but they put little effort into that.
Too expensive, but tasted good
Worst airport bar experience so far. Rude bartenders. One of them tried to say there was someone still sitting in a spot where there was clearly no one around for a good while and the drinks on the table were finished. Unacceptable disrespectful attitude. Beer options were also not good.
Over priced
Great option at the airport, specifically terminal two. Good level of heat, nice menu options.
There is NO cheese dip. Everything else is fine. Chips are good, salsa is weird but ok, food is fine and normal airport prices, servers are good. Service is slow especially for an airport but idk I’m sure their kitchen is tiny. But I can’t forgive no cheese dip. It just heats in a microwave. We’re in the Midwest. This is otherwise clearly a Tex-Mex restaurant. Where is it?
Not bad if u r in a rush. Okay service (no welcomes).
Great tacos, fast service, and very nice atmosphere. Service was fast and we were seated in no time at all!
I eat here fairly regularly. I recommend the lovely pork carnitas tacos. The food is always fresh and delicious. I like it that there are smaller plates and side dishes, so I can mix and match dishes according to my mood that day. My main complaint is that they try to crowd you into the bar area, which is filled with uncomfortable high-top tables and is very loud and dark compared to the dining room.
God service Decent breakfast
Vary nice. Good food.
Great place to wait out the delay!
Love the food and the people! The assistant manager and manager are so friendly and make it feel like a neighborhood place. The servers are all top notch too! Our favorite restaurant by far!
Sucks. Every time I’ve eat here the food has been subpar. One morning we waited outside their gates at 4:30 (when they were supposed to open) and the lady told us they wouldn’t open until 5. When we notified them that the sign said 4:30 the lady replied with “I know, but we’re going to open at 5” It was in that moment that Barrio lost about 8 customers that were all patiently waiting to be let in. Bummer.
My friends and I tried several small plates and shared guacamole. The food was excellent and the server was awesome.
Great happy hour menu and prices!
Nice chips. Corn chowder was quite excellent.
Prices are ridiculous for the amount of food they place on your plate. They load your plate with tortilla chips too make it look like they give you a lot and they dont. If you just want to have a beer is ok, but find some place else to eat at the airport. Go to Terminal 1. At terminal 2 we had no choice that to eat here due our flights itinerary. Our server was very slow. I regret spending $75 for 2 beers , 2 glasses of water, and 4 poor quality meals. Good luck
Chicken Tacos! They know how to make them. Best ever. Every chicken I have will compare to theirs. Have brought multiple people who know have a new standard for chicken tacos!
Food good
awesome food..delicious... distinct....spicy habernero tamal is to die for. friendly service. outstanding executive chef Andrew.
Good food and good service. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions. The food was good but definitely not the best Mexican food I’ve had.
I'm from San Diego and i know about good Mexican food. This place is awesome! Great food and cocktails. Friendly service as well. Highly recommend it if you've never been.
Probably the worst and overpriced airport restaurant I have ever experienced. Carnitas tacos were cold and the pork looked like it came out of a (dog food) can. Beef tacos were no better. $55 tab for three of us for that horrible experience.
Excellent tacos with variety
Not a place for breakfast. Bacon was good, but eggs were really dry, only one piece of toast, and veggie side not served until I asked, and it was mostly onions. Staff was nice, tho.
unique food, excellent flavors, nice ambiance.
Great location, food and service. Parking is iffy depending on time of visit.
The best guac, and a solid Barrio marg.
Service isn't good, food is okay, music was too loud. I love the Barrio location in the city, but not this one. The best bar in terminal two is the Minnesota Wild bar.
Great food and good service. Chairs were wobbly but nothing work docking them for.
Excellent service and food while waiting in the airport ..Thank you Bull for the attention...the atmosphere was very warm and inviting
Vibrant, traditional Mex-Mex a la carte menu; delicious sopas, tamal, fresh guac, beer-battered San Diego style fish tacos (the correct way to serve fish tacos); pleasant servers; reasonable prices. I will definitely return.
Food was okay drinks cold. Good service !!
Wasn't impressed
Airport bar = expensive drinks. Staff were friendly
Terrible service waited almost a hour for our order. Never came people after us were served. 40 dollars for chips and beer and food order that never came. We had to leave a catch our flight very dissatisfied. It was busy but isn't that normal at airport.
Good beer...good food...what more can a guy ask for?
Tasty tacos. Good service.
Fun place. Enjoyed drinks only. Staff was very accommodating.
Excellent menu, food, and service!
This place is awful. The food taste like dog food. The service is horrid. I have this mini Mexican guy that won't give me the time of day. Walks right by, never acknowledges me. Always in hurry to take my menu away. I hope management sees these reviews. I will never come here again and will do my very best to tell everyone living sole to stay away.
Really good food. Family place.
Great food!
Good fish tacos and hanger steak!
Great service and awesome food, always enjoy bringing clients/guests/co workers to this location. Plenty of convenient parking in the ramp behind the building.
Amazing tacos. Delicious gluten free options. Not cheap.
Good drinks
Excellent food, every time. Honestly, this is my favorite restaurant in the area, and is a cut above every Mexican restaurant in the Twin Cities. I absolutely love their salsas and carnitas taco. The habanero chicken tamale is a hit as well. Enjoy!
Great Torta and excellent service.
Breakfast is terrible. Pre-flight beers is nice though.
The main meal was very good and the service was great. The chips however were far too salty
Great cocktails, and friendly staff.
Great cocktails
Good airport food.
Scrumptious food with fabulous service. Must eat here!
Busy work trip in Minneapolis this week. I haven't even had time to relax the past few days. I'm at the MSP airport eating at the only restaurant with a bar that's open, catching up on the news. My chicken al pastor enchiladas taste suspiciously like street-food-style elotes ...with the saltiest frijoles I've ever had. But, the Dos Equis is great, the wait staff is attentive, and there are outlets at the bar.
I dont know what I was thinking eating mexican food in the midwest. Good service.
Great food.
Chicken tacos were gross. Looks like you're better off with just drinks here and getting food at Surdyk's next door.
The food was acceptable, but the service could have been better. The waitress was cranky & was not very accommodating. I went to the bar to get more water, when she never came back.
They do awsome packing for to go. And their entree is big. Prices are little higher. Overall it's good.
Great Denver omelette! Who doesn't like shots of tequila with your breakfast in Vegas!?
The service was slow and mediocre, but the food was good. The steak tenderloin skewers were insanely tender and delicious and the pork gorditas were super flavorful.
Really enjoy this place. The small plates are prepared well and arrive warm and fresh. Great tequila selection. The chips and salsa are tasty and authentic.
Great Mexican restaurant, love the tacos!
There food is so good, oh my gosh
A regular airport food store.
The carnitas tacos are the best. We also really enjoyed the guacamole and four different salsas with our chips. If you like mezcal you must order their version of an Old Fashion with unique sweet cherries in the bottom of the glass. Service was excellent and very friendly. Parking is free and there is an additional parking structure in the back of the restaurant. We will be returning to this special place.
The oasis of terminal 2. Have a layover and want fresh food an well made drinks? Cocina del Barrio has a great selection of scratch street tacos and tasty comfort food. Try Cocina del Barrio! Great service.
Surprisingly great tacos and well-seasoned proteins. Drinks are strong. Prices are entirely too reasonable. Service is great.
Friendly staff and fresh real food. Very fast too. Great Mexican breakfast and drinks choices. Currently the best spot in terminal 2.
Great service!!! Great way to unwind before your flight! The food is amazing as is the cocktails!!
Flying to. Cancun. What a great way to to start my vacation! Had a Bloody Mary, and a wonderful breakfast. My companion had the breakfast burrito and loved it. It was our servers first day on the job, but you would never have known. Great service, fast food. Nice atmosphere, too. Lovely tables and a welcoming bar. Flying Sun Country? Get there early and enjoy some great food and a cocktail before boarding. So glad we did!
Probably some of the best Mexican food in the cities. Actual fresh ingredients, good flavors, tons of really good not greasy taco options. Love the margarita selection and their ahi tuna taco is amazing. The recent redesign is a great chang . I miss my old favorite margarita from the old menu but the trinity and the barrio are great classics
really high quality food and very delicious. Very small portions for the price. You could spend a fortune trying to get full here
Food was extremely overpriced and just ok. Felt rushed. Beer selection was very limited and they were out of a few selections. As we left the staff was finally friendly.
About the best airport food you could hope for!
I'll keep this short and sweet. Favorite local restaurant hands down. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great servers. My favorite is everything taco and the guacamole of course! I also wish Scotty was still bartending here. Bring him back!
Pretty good for airport food. Service excellent, Mika knocked it outta the park, super friendly
Love it
Good food, good drinks, and amazingly kid friendly. A bit pricey, but we had a fantastic meal.
Not a big fan of the mixers, but the food is decent. Upscale Mexican
Great service. Would go again
Great food to be had here. Everything is ala carte, which if you don't know is French for small portions. This actually works out pretty well so you can try multiple things and it also helps one save room for tequila. This place literally has a wall full of tokillya. I didn't order any since i was my only DD, but the couple next to me got a sampler flight and it looked quite fun. This would be an excellent place for a first date. I'd probably recommend reservations for the weekend nights and it gets a bit noisy so if you have problems with background noise, probably not your spot.
Solid happy hour. Lots of seating and above average food. Walkable distance from home is a plus. At this point you might even call them a little underrated.
Cold expensive food, wish this terminal had any other real choices
If I could give this place a minus zero...I would! HORRIBLE service, ridiculous atmosphere and jacked-up drink prices! WtHOLYf? Two drinks...a margarita and a Sangria cost us $25.00! Again...WWTHOLYF??? I'm gonna blas this and make sure none of my many traveling friends go there!
Great tapas, along with one of the best yucca frita you can get.
Just ok overall. The server was quick and attentive. I do not recommend the tortilla soup. It was extremely salty and greasy, and didn't come with any of the toppings I'd expect (except tortilla strips). I also ordered chicken tostadas, and they were pretty good. The prices are reasonable for the airport. So nothing special in general, but there aren't a ton of choices in this part of the airport.
I can understand not allowing outside food in a free standing restaurant. But, this place is located inside terminal two in Minneapolis airport and is attached to a caribou coffee, a subway and another restaurant. Only separator is a walk thru from caribou coffee... my gripe is that we are in an Airport. My husband sat at the bar and ordered a beer and food, I ordered from a different restaurant, and came in to sit with my husband, the Bartender told me, you can’t bring outside food in here, this is a restaurant. We were already paying customers. Already ordered food and alcohol. This is no different than walking into a food court at a mall...there was only one other person at the bar, and only two other people at tables. Basically, the place was a complete ghost town. It wasn’t like we were taking up space for paying customers. I now understand why this place has less than a 3 Star Rating.
Portions are what you might expect for a child. The drinks however were strong and delicious for an adult.
Airport version of it's Minneapolis namesake. As with most like this, not as good as the original, but still worth a visit if you want something other than pre-made airport sandwiches.
Wow! I travel a lot for work and normally 2-3 times a month in this terminal. Always have a good margarita or specialty drink and always is awesome. Today when I got there it was packed!! I’m amazed how “rogers” behind the bar puts up with all the weird and annoying people that tries to get service when they see he is busy or helping other customers. I can’t thank him enough for making me laugh through out my wait for my flight:) Hope all those rude people at least tip you well! You deserve it. Keep up the great work!! Oh.. food was good too.
Happy hour drink and apps specials until 6pm. Guacamole was delicious and a giant portion.
There way we started our Mexican vacation. Not good, not bad, about what you'd expect at an airport restaurant. Had some various tacos, sandwiches and margaritas. It's in the gate area, so lots of people around especially if the places get grounded or late to take off. Staff was good, but a step below a local Mexican place you may frequent.
Pretty good place. Ordered a quesadilla for dinner and it was very yummy (please add sour cream to ingredients - it would make it perfect!) Our server was nice and quick and there was a lot of seating. Tables were clean. There’s nothing else to wish for at the airport restaurant really. We’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in Terminal 2.
Awful, must be new management, just because you slapped a fresh coat of white paint doesnt make your food good. My steak taco was still mooing, it was as if the forgot to cook it. It was cold slimy and chewy, my husband's shrimp was still walking, they were raw and still blue and clear. The server came by asked how everything was going he looked at our plates and said he will have them make up a fresh taco and shrimp. We waited for 20 min for it to come out. The server came by and asked if we wanted the bill. We said yes while I was still waiting for my cooked taco to get done, the server said the we took care of some of the bill for you. I looked and all they did was not charge us for the raw shrimp and raw meet taco but still charged us for the cooked stuff and noted on the receipt well done shrimp and medium steak. That's how they took care of that.... So go there and say you want cooked shrimp and steak otherwise it will be raw. Also they stopped flavoring their food as well it was all bland one note.
Food was very good. I want to go back! Loved the elote. Yum
Food was great and the bartender was super attentive and personable.
Awesome food snd drinks!!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I brought a group of 10 people and they were very accommodating.
Second time eating here. Food was good. Service was fine as it was seat yourself. Music was a little loud, but kind of fits the ambience. Prices were higher than regular dining out, but expected for airport food. Overall good experience both times.
Food was delivered cold, when asked to reheat, they brougjt out food 2nd time still cold. Waitress was great and offered to fix up something else. Knowing I have to be on a plane did not want to risk food poisoning.
Fun and more fun. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Ate lunch there on 12/28. Fish tacos were inedible as they tasted fishy/spoiled. Advised waitress about it and she was completely indifferent. Also ordered quesadilla, which appeared and tasted burnt. Would be hard pressed to return due to staff indifference about food quality. Dropped 45 bucks for a very poor lunch.
Awesome food, great place for date night!
Best airport food period!
Horrible service. Almost missed the plane because the server at the restaurant was too lazy to process our order and sent us to the bar next door, which took longer. Will never be back
Good service quick and easy
Great salsa, steak, veggies, service and atmosphere.
Nice place with energetic atmosphere, nice selection of tapas
Great food good prices
Super fast. Not very good for the price. And they had CNN on, yuck.
Excelent service and also they have bilingual waiter good and delicius food. Viva México.
Not my type of restaurant. Not typical mexican fare, but only option in terminal
Guac is pretty good, Barbacoa Gorditas could use a little work on the meat.
One of the few food options in terminal 2, it's pretty good! Great place to stop for a drink as well.
Loved the atmosphere. Very trendy upscale feel, but obviously you can wear whatever. Menu was pretty authentic Mexican/tex-Mex. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and although the beans were a little sub par from what I'm used to, it was very good and delicious. It cost about $10 which is what I usually pay for them in a sit down restaurant. The bartender was slow with no urgency, but she was very friendly. They had an expeditor bringing out food very far from the kitchen. I only waited about 8 minutes. They didn't have a problem that I brought my coffee over from next door either.
They don't tone down the spices in the food. I loved it but people who don't like spicy food would probably find it hard to eat. Reasonable prices for airport food.
Loved the shrimp tacos!
Busy, food is mediocre for the price. It's convenient if you are waiting in the airport though.
I loved the food and drinks but honestly the service j had when I went late night was awful. The waitor wasn't attentive and couldn't keep my friends orders straight. So most of us almost paid for the wrong things. I would come back for the food but not the service.
Chicken Tamal is my go to.
Good food for an airport restaurant.
Not bad for airport food.
Did was good, but expensive and service was slow.
This is an excellent find in MSP! Get the Grilled Beef tenderloin skewers...incredibly tender and great quality beef. The Trinity Marg was great too. See Martin for excellent service!
nice and clean lots of plugs
The computers kept going down so the staff weren't able to actually serve guests if they weren't paying cash. You would think this would frazzle them all beyond belief but the staff were patient, fun, and calm throughout the whole situation. Especially Tim! He did a great job of keeping people updated, putting them at ease, & doing so with grace. He was even offered to be given cash to pocket for a customer's drinks & he said no he would get the old school credit card triplicate slip and take the payment like that. Way to go Tim for staying ethical and cool as a cucumber! Hopefully you're never put in this type of situation again! Plus he made bomb drinks once they were back up and running!
Very good Mexican restaurant with lot of cocktails and brews options. Friendly service. Nice ambience. Decent pricing. They have multiple locations. The restaurant could get very crowded , so calling in and heading there would be the best option Enjoy !!
It's a very pleasant place to eat. Plus servers are really nice.
I had a truly wonderful experience here! Both the food and the service were amazing our server's name was Daniel T. he made sure we had a great time he was friendly, he knew how to cater to what we personally wanted from the experience as well as making sure we were aware of the specials and what the menu had to offer. The food was so flavorful and unique ALL of the ingredients were very fresh. The portions are a little small for the price but honestly I loved my first experience here and I will be back!
Something has changed since our past frequent visits. The paint did that's for sure. Management, chef, the whole staff? Not sure. We were seated promptly and water was offered. We placed our drink and appetizer order. Fresh guacamole showed up and soon later, so did our drinks. We placed our order and ordered another round of drinks. When food arived..30 minutes later.. We had gotten chicken strips and cheese tortilla for my son, lime shrimp skewer and crab taco for my self and shrimp taco and steak taco for the wife. Shrimp were well garnished, warm on the outside, very raw in the inside. Same with wife's steak taco, chewy raw steak chunks. Not pink, red. I dont understand because it only takes probability a single whole minute to cook the steak bites for the taco and another whole minutes to cook the shrimp so they are eatable. Took some time for server to come back so I could send them back to have them cooked more. I'd say 20 minutes later, our table has been cleaned of leaving only a fork and towel. Another 20 later here comes our "well done" shrimp and "Medium" steak taco. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I maybe would go back in a year to check if anything has changed. But for now, not recommended by me.
Excellent service and reasonable prices. Far exceeded my expectations. Delicious salsa!
Best service EVER!!! My salad was amazing!!
Food was good and did not wait long. Service was good
Good drinks and food for an airport.
Don't expect much. I ordered fries with my meal, and when the meal arrived there was a bag of chips on the plate instead of the fries. All the waiter had to say was "we don't have fries right now." No apology, no offer for another option, just plopped a bag of lays down and walked away. Got the pina colada, and while it tasted good, there couldn't have been more than 1/3oz of a total alcohol in it.
Really really good food I
I really like their food, but the service is always so slow. And we sat right next to the bar. I've been here many times and it's never really changed.
Seriously, the best fresh corn chowder in the world! The pork tamal was also very tasty. Very reasonable place to eat with exceptional food!
Delicious food and good drink selection. Orders were slow in coming out to us though.
Good food great service too much food
Grab the spicy Gringo Tacos served really fast. Or eat with music on. What a fantastic place with very friendly staff! The prices are affordable and the ambience just makes anyone want to come back.
Fancy.
Amazing food. Loved the nachos. Must have. Great staff and environment. Would totally recommend it to anyone. Must go!
Food was fantastic except the chocoflan. Service was a bit slow but very personable. Good experience overall.
Food was pretty tasty as was the beer. And waitress was excellent. But - on his way out, a big guy in a red and white checkered shirt grabbed two green olives out of the condiment tray and popped one in his mouth. Then, another member of the wait staff was removing straws from a box with her hands. Recommend she wear gloves or the business should purchase paper wrapped straws.
I really enjoyed this place! I had to come back and update my rating! The carnitas were amazing! And so was the fresh made guacamole. I like the modern, laid-back atmosphere. It's a great location in Edina. And I know we'll definitely be back!
When traveling for work; which I do a lot, I only have a few expectations of over priced airport restaurants; cold drinks and somewhat edible food. Barrio’s beer was warm and food was awful. The only thing cold was the server. McDonalds make this joint look look 5 star. Worst food ever.
Always been one of my favorite spots! Haven’t been here in a while but still just as good as I remember. Nothing beats a clean bathroom!
Love the food, very accommodating staff
fast service staff friendly food prices normally priced
We were in here early in the morning 2 Thursdays ago.....was planning to eat some quick airport breakfast. When the bartender opened up for the morning, he was having a terrible day apparently. He was complaining to the help and to the customers about his POS system not working and help not showing up. When he finally approached us, I asked for a beer and a menu. "We dont sell beer until 6!". Ok. I ask for a menu for breakfast and he nonchalantly tosses em up on the counter and walks away. See you later buddy - great attitude!
Excellent tacos!
A few of us arrive during happy hour, and we really enjoyed our time there. It's very cool looking interior. If a number of drafts. The happy hour menu at quite a few things on it. I had a couple of tacos and a tamale. All three were pretty outstanding. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their meal and their time there. Service was really good and friendly.
Had their Macho Camacho, it was good. The staff can be a little bit more efficient. I gave the restaurant a 3 star before, but had to change it to a 1 star, because after my bill of $13 came my card was declined, I use a foreign bank card and this sometimes happens. I used the card at the duty free next door and it worked, I was embarrassed by the staff when they seized my phone, and I eventually missed my flight to Los Angeles.
Massive tequila selection and super tasty food. Not an ordinary Mexican place. The mushroom enchilada is awesome.
Had a great breakfast and Bloody Mary. Great Service.
Always love their small plate offerings
Such thoughtful service in an airport restaurant (or anywhere else, for that matter...). I was feeling under the weather, while my husband had a robust appetite. He ordered French Toast and bacon, which he thoroughly enjoyed, while all I could consume was fruit and a cup of tea. The waitress said she felt my portion was "puny" and brought a second dish of vitamin C-rich blackberries, strawberries, and orange slices. That was just what I needed to get through the next few hours of flying. What a perceptive and kind young lady!
Great food
Great food, good service
Fantastic place. Outdoor eating with live music on Saturdays. Service was fast and food was great. I highly recommend visiting this venue. Price are moderate.
I really enjoyed Cocina Del Barrio last night. Small plates and ala carte items allow for trying different menu options. Excellent variety to their tacos with nice, quiet atmosphere. Food and service were both outstanding. The mushroom enchiladas in particular are excellent.
Great for family and friends with even better food choices!!!
Quick delicious breakfast faster than anywhere else in Terminal 2
One of the best airport dining options there is. The beef tenderloin skewers are ridiculous.
Chips are pretty thick and heavy. Salsa are blended smooth and ok. Street tacos we're good. Not sure the food agreed with the great ambiance
Good was decent for the price. Definitely a good step above fast food
Ok breakfast. Service was a little bit slow. Average food.
Great food and huge tequila selection. A touch on the pricey side for what is ultimately a bar. Gets noisy when busy.
My partner and I stopped in on December 23rd around 7 pm. We were killing time until our reservation at Martina at 1030. We ended up cancelling our reservation. The food and service here were amazing. Thanks!
Awesome Mexican restaurant. really enjoyed it :) :) :)
If you're in a bind...and at the airport...and nothing else is open...then maybe. Only maybe. Bubble gum and water is a better option.
Great place for a light dinner!
$14 burrito was mostly beans and rice.
Great food, cool interior. Check out their happy hour!
Very relaxed vibe. Tacos are a tad pricy for just one taco (whole place is pricy), but they were absolutely worth it. Had the carnitas and grilled chicken tacos and even though I was full I almost ordered more.
Eclectic menu, not your standard Mexican food
The ahi taco and spicy tamale are delicious.
Great food & drinks
Great authentic food!
Amazing. Bartender was cool and amazing
On our way to vacation....this was a nice place to take a break and enjoy some drinks and food.
Great Mexican American food. Prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. Wait staff was very friendly and place was well kept as well
Great happy hour specials, including $5 Sangria and good deals on food. Quac and Chicken Quesadilla were both outstanding!
Great small plates (tapas like) service was great.
Enjoyed a preflight bloody mary
Great drinks, decent happy hour, food is not bad by any means, salsas are good.
Some of my fave food in MN... even the airport location is delicious. Breakfast is fantastic. My AM favorites: Eggs Divorced & a Paloma. Enjoy!
Nice atmosphere and a good happy hour
Habanero chicken tamale was decent, beer fish taco was good. Shrimp taco and mushroom enchilada was just average. The chips with the Guac were way too oily. Guac for $11 is not worth it for such small quantity.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service! We ordered many dishes and when I say everything was delicious I mean ev-er-y-thing!
Crazy rude bartenders. Beyond words.
Great Tacos. Good service. Sometimes kind of loud.
I enjoyed my drink and the food was great!
A little corny, but overall a good experience. My parents loved it. Highly recommend the chocolate tamale
Good service but Mediocre food. Let's face it airport prices are expensive but $12.00 for a chicken quesadilla with about 2 tablespoon spoons of chicken on a 8" flour tortilla. My husband had the pork burrito full of rice and beans but it had pork that you could see and it was tasty but still not much flavor. We wont return...on a positive not it was still better than midway in Chicago.
Really good local beer selection, friendly staff, good happy hour prices and the carnitas taco and habanero tamale were superb
Changed my rating the Bartender came cool in the end. Still not sure why they are closing so early. But at least the Bartender came through with some chips and guac.
Small portions. Tasted good.
Good drinks and good food and service
You may only find this at the airport, but I believe the sign says it all.
Bartender brought us menus and then after physically standing up and trying to flag him down, we left with nothing after a half hour and so did the people next to us. It’s like he was actively trying not to see us or serve us.
Airport restaurant with decent selection of beers on tap.
Excellent fresh made guacamole and I love their corn chowder. Get a bowl of that and a taco and you are set! Only drawback is the noise. Very loud in front, so if you are looking for a quieter and a more intimate experience, ask for a booth in the back. The service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are.
The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is super delicious. You can park in the ramp for free behind the restaurant.
Great service and amazing food
Yum. Sure its spendy but you are in an airport. Its going be.
We were here about a week. I still can't stop talking about the food. So amazing. Can't wait to come back
Good apps, great margarita! Fabulous service.
Good food. Great service. A bit pricey, but what isn't in this area? Massive selection of tequilas.
Ok. Kale in the traditional Mexican pozole? Seriously? The carne asada tacos were OK.
Worst burrito I've ever had, don't do it!!!
Best happy hour margaritas around.
Great Margaritas. Try the Mocho Camacho. Margarita with blood orange. Yummy. Food is small plates. Amazing Mexican tapas.
This Airport is the best in the nation. Covina was convenient, the servers are all pleasant, and quick service, too. I had the Gringo Tacos, just like I used to make my kids but spicier! I would have added a little avocado if I had thought of it. Highly recommended.
Great ambience and wide variety of tequila options. Food is great and lot of spicy options. I liked the tacos and nachos with spicy sauce with Vegetarian options. Decently priced and the service was good.
Good environment. I love the food and the options for tequila are good if you like it. A bit spendy but I recommend going at least once! Love you Tanya!
Great place, wonderful food and very good service.
Full service bar and restaurant. Smart and fast service.
Visited the Edina location. They have an excellent variety of small plates. They have an unusual style of bringing out food as soon as it is ready rather than wait for the entire order to be ready. Take advantage of this and order small plates to share (lots of them)
Breakfast was decent, I'm sure lunch and dinner are more exciting here. Good, friendly crew was nice for an early morning bite to eat.
I've never ordered tostadas that salsa doesn't come with them! I was charged extra for a small cup of some funny looking "salsa," which was runny & all liquid. I am shocked ($10 for 2 tostadas). I first ordered a bowl of tortilla soup with chicken ($12), but it was too salty, no avocados in it, so I sent it back. They must have new cooks or something because this was my 3rd visit & very disappointed.
Great food, awesome happy hour. Parking can be challenging though.
Gross overpriced. Indifferent service. Avergae food. They charge $3 for a ramekin of chopped tomatoes, onions and cilantro
Slow service but quick to clean the table we were not done eating.
Picture speaks for itself, simply delicious!
Good airport food
Always a great stop when headed out of terminal 2.
Great food and happy hour!!
Good food. Great service.
Notable happy hour and space. Can be expensive for what it is, and very crowded, but the food and drinks are great.
Really good
Food was good but our Server was not the best.
Really good for early breakfast in the airport
Waitress never gave me my credit card back had to cancel it when my flight landed try calling restaurant no number goes straight to airport phone wish I never tipped her $5 on a $18 bill my lost
Four of us had food, appetizers and drinks. We all had a great experience and will be back soon. We preferred this location over downtown Minneapolis, food / portions both better.
Not good your food taste like fake Mexican drive-thru food for as much as it cost there should be some fresh ingredients going on here I myself I'm a chef I can make better quality Mexican food then I've eaten there I was just trying to be nice and say not good but since you want me to elaborate I will your food is gross I threw it all in the garbage nobody in my party wanted to eat it okay thank you have a good day
Nice at atmosphere great service and food
Best Cuban sandwich and mojito I've ever had.
Good for an airport restaurant. It was packed though when we were there.
It was great it was like a restaurant!!!
Great Happy Hour with delicious treats to share. Great location in Edina. Not busy on a Wednesday night too!
Very nice place with great food!
I had a connecting flight at MSP and wanted to get some quick dinner before my flight. I had initially wanted to order some Al Pastor tacos and a glass of wine. I waited for approximately 15 or 20 minutes before I was approached by anyone, but I understand, it was busy. But several servers and bussers made eye contact with me, but no one even offered me a water, or acknowledged me. Then the server, his name was "Bulmaro" on the receipt just sat down across the seat to me. He did not ask me what I wanted, or even introduced himself as a server. He just started saying, "Baby I've been waiting for you!" and things that honestly offended me quite a bit. This interaction just turned me off so I just ordered a glass of wine and paid immediately. The food looked great, but such an aggressive, creepy and careless service really was unacceptable.
The eggs benedicts was fantastic as was the service.
Great food, nice staff.
Beef Tenderloin Anticuchos and Snapper Ceviche were good. Salsa trio was a little too spicy. Decent food for the typical Edina crowd.
Listed they open at 4:30 but staff didn’t open til 5
Darn good tacos. A bit pricey but a good place to get a tasty meal on the fly.
Good airport bar and restaurant. Bar has power strips under bar top and bottom of the floating bar islands. A little expensive, but standard for inside an airport. The Cuban is delicious. Good tortillas soup.
This Airport restaurant in the H gates area of Minneapolis St. Paul Airport features mexican favorites and a large selection of cerveza. I grabbed a quick bite before heading home and the service was fast and attentive. I had tacos that had a lot of flavor and were nice and full of quality ingrediants. My Dos Equis was cold and in a very nice size glass. Portion for price here was very good for a major Airport. Perfect for tech traveler like me with plenty of outlets so I could recharge tech and belly at same time. I will go back on my next trip through MSP.
No avocado in my 9 dollar sandwich.. I won't be surprised if this soggy gut bomb ruins my flight to Las Vegas!
Really great food and a fun atmosphere.
Awesome tequila tasting selection
Tequila is good. A snarky bartender but not the good snarky. Mocks everyone and the wait stuff included.
Started great Then out of queso??? Mex Restaurant??? The young guy comes behind bar and changes music to ?????? Then proceeds to open cash register and walks away leaving it open???? Cash control? Hugging female employees on floor? Just unprofessional
Tasty! Very similar to other locations. Pretty good breakfast and bloody marys
Nice food. Restaurant is very dark, keep that in mind. Authentic if you are looking for Mexican food.
Great place
Good service. Great guacamole. Delicious vegetarian tacos.
Food was flavorful and decent. Service was fine. I'd return but would also look around next time. Good not great.
Amazing food! Huge tequila selection! Awesome service!
Really nice bartenders, tasty drinks, and awesome thick tortilla chips.
Service was awesome! Food was good.
Service was a tad slow, and portions were a tad small, but it was good and my cats loved the shrimp.
The food was really good, especially if you mix and match tacos. That being said, the service was lacking. Drinks went dry and got a chip refill only after our food came.
Portions are small and the food is typically overpriced like most airports.
Excellent place to feel at home away from home and more. The hospitality is excellent. The location is just perfect for all you local needs. I would recommend to anyone coming to San Jaun dont past this guest house because you truly will be treated as special guest.
All of the meats are delicious!
This is Mexican food definitely made to cater to the typical Edina crowd. It is not traditional Mexican which doesn't make it bad, just unexpected and the flavors were good. The wait staff was awesome, super attentive and quick. I was disappointed with their micheladas (think Mexican bloody Mary) and the fact you have to pay for chips and salsa. I love that they do bring out a salsa trio ranging from mild to spicy, however the amount of chips they bring out is barely a single serving and you get charged for more chips. Overall the experience was good but they should not try to make everything an extra charge just to make an extra buck.
Great food and even better staff. This is where we take all of our friends and family for a guaranteed good time.
Good Latin dishes. Nice prices and excellent service. Some plates more authentic than others IMHO. Overall excellent ambiance. I will keep coming back. Nice shop area location as well. Good creative drinks.
Rude waitress. Poor service.
Ahi tuna tacos are the BEST!!
Never went there show up my mobile
Wonderful chips and guac with great salsas. The Cubano was super tasty! Great service and quiet lunch perfect for chatting. Will be back!
Great tequilas, margaritas, atmosphere, and food. Thumbs up all around!
I mean, it's airport Mexican food. It's not bad by any means, but your options are limited. Service is fast and their drinks are good.
Went here on an impromptu date and was not disappointed. staff was friendly, we got seated quickly, the happy hour specials were priced just right, and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Shrimp tacos and margaritas were amazing. Patio is really nice during the summer. Nice location and staff was amazing. Comp'd some drinks simply for switching tables with a larger party.
my mom works here and she makes the best guac, salsa, and ceviche!
Great food and margaritas!
Great food and tequila selection
A good day stop
The best coors light
Great Tortilla soup and Margherita, though steeply priced (common in many airports).
Took 2 hours for 1 entree. Shrimp tacos. BIG disappointment. 4 Raw tortillas, 2 cold diced shrimp, 2 tiny pieces of cabbage and diced tomato. Small ramekin of beans were the best part of my meal. Service was slow and made excuse the computers were down..even though everyone sat before and after me was getting their food. She just forgot to put my order in. $12 entree looked like a tiny appetizer
Really bad music blaring, this is not a place to relax. Lots of vegetarian options which is a plus but exchange that for generally bad service and overpriced underwhelming food. This Barrio lives up to the experience at the other chains locations, how do crappy restaurans stay in business?
Had the steak bowl, it was nice a filling, steak could have been more flavorful
Awesome food.. Awesome ambience.. Awesome service.
Great food and service but be prepared for the extremely loud dining area (at least up front). Not the place for intimate conversation but who has time to talk when the tacos are this good?
Really yummy, fresh food and good service. Seemed a little on the pricey side though, 3 tacos cost about $12, and that was happy hour prices. (They were pretty meaty, full tacos, which made it better!)
