This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Bar & grill.
Great food! We especially love their burgers. Nice wine and beer selection. Classy place that's great for families and all. Patio area is good too.
Best walleye (sandwich )I’ve had in Mpls. AND the fries were hot! Yum.
Good food and great atmosphere
Buster's is a great place to get a drink and some good food. Their steak sandwich is delicious and upscale without trying too hard. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Great for dine in or take out.
Great beer list, nice neighborhood vibe, mediocre burger.
Clean, nice crowd, good food & helpful staff.
John at the Bar is charismatic and very thoughtful. We are from out of town and he made us feel right at home. We will continue to return as long as John is working!!!
Awesome food!! Great service!
Great food. Amazing beer rotation.
Great breakfast And service
Good Housemade Chips. Sandwiches are fine.
Great food
Cubano was great. They were out of soup and I was disappointed. Service was barely ok. Luckily food is good.
First off just want to say the service was very good. And for the most part the food was good too. I ordered the Chicken Apple Sandwich with the chips, it was good! However, my wife ordered the veggie melt, it was a complete mess. The portabella mushroom was not cooked properly, and the vegetables were not cooked down either. As a result the sandwich was a big soggy mess. The grilled sourdough literally looked like it was soaked in water.
This was my 2nd time there and it was still such good food. I had the steak sandwich that Guy recommended on DDD. SO good!! I'm not a fan of blue cheese but the creamy blue cheese on the sandwich blended in so well. Oh. So. Good. Great service too.
Some of the best burgers in town.
Very crowded but very good food. My beef brisket was very tasty. The onion rings and cheese curds were one of the best I have had. My son's bison burger was very juicy and really good. Their Cole slaw was exceptional loved the chunks of apples.
When John is bartending you can't go wrong! Sweet potatoe fries are always worth it!
Great brunch, small menu which was actually nice because they do everything on it really well. Service was excellent too.
Patio is usually filled on warm weekend evenings, but was able to be seated right away. Chicken sandwich bun got soggy from all the dressing but otherwise very good.
Always great beer friendly bartenders there was a weird guy with neck tattoos at bar drinking though
DELICIOUS food, many beer selections, definitely a great place for lunch!
Great food. Cozy environment. Great music too
What a great place! I travel to MSP frequently and was introduced to this restaurant. Very casual with approximately 18 different beers on tap and quite a few more in bottles. While the beer selection was very good, the food was awesome! I had their steak sandwich which included sirloin, bacon, carmelized onions, blue cheese on a butter toasted bun. I'll be back!
Buster's has a great beer menu with all of the classics, in style, and popular beers. I had a delicious Bells NE IPA. Their menu of burgers, sandwiches, flat bread, and apps has a good selection without being overwhelming. Great place and I'll be back again
Decent neighborhood joint. Great burgers and wings. Beer and wine only. Go early as it gets really crowded at dinner. Service was mediocre. Would have given another star had the service been better.
Great service--drink selection was very good and the server was friendly and attentive
probably the best Mushroom & Swiss Burger I ever had. helpful Bartenders knowledgeable on ample beer selections.
Great food, the best steak sandwich around
Amazing beer selection, great food, and really nice service.
Great neighborhood place for beer and dinner. It was packed on a Tuesday night if that tells you anything.
God bless John Hammjie.
Good food
Very good place, friendly staff and awesome food also a ton of beers on tap
Great place to get a burger and beer. A lot of rotating Taps and local beer selection. Good atmosphere, not too fancy but a not dive by any means.
Their bison burger is out of this world. They take pride in having crazy beers you have never heard of on tap. I was once there during the day for a late lunch and heard the owner/manager talking to someone who I assume was their liquor distributor saying something to the effect of 'if you see anything in small batches or unusual, just get it. Don't bother asking me. Just get it before someone else does'
This place is OUTSTANDING!!! The beer braised beef sandwich is most excellent. Very friendly atmosphere with a welcoming vibe. If you are in the area mark it with a heart and go there.
Had an amazing dining experience here. Even though the day we went there was a slight wait for tables, we hopped up at the bar and the bartender was a hoot! Very nice, personable, and quick to help. Food was delicious, the staff was nice and helpful, and I loved the atmosphere. The place can seem small, but it has a certain personality to it. Worth a stop!
Excellent beer/cider options! Get the steak sandwich. You're welcome.
Great service, good food & always place to meet friends & stop on our way
Great place. Food and service is great.
Great place ...the salmon burger with the goat cheese was amazing! Also got a flight of beers
I had the BBQ Pork Sandwhich which was very good. The service and attention from the waitress we had was spectacular.
Sunday brunch was delicious! Great selection of craft beer and always a new beer to try...love the variety! Friendly staff, wonderful neighborhood hangout!
Great flavor on the barbecue pork. Very nice spinach salad with pears, beets, walnuts. Nice beer selection. Attentive service.
So good. A good amount to pick from on the menu. I had the Cubona was so good. The menu said hot mustard but it was not spicy to me. But very tasty. The handcut fries are so delicious. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich. The smoke taste was super/extremely strong. So the smoke taste makes it so rich it makes it hard to finish the whole thing. Service was good. Not a very big place and it has great character and comfortable.
Went for a late Saturday afternoon lunch. Fairly quiet at that time of day. Had the best walleye sandwich I've ever had ... Hands down. Service was wonderful and prices reasonable. We're coming back soon!
Good place for comfort food and a wide selection of beer. The staff is super friendly and helpful!
Cubano sandwich was excellent. Real care taken to assemble a good looking meal that yasted amazing. Pickles veges . . . nuf said
BBQ pork sandwich and fries were very good. Both seasoned and cooked well. Would go again. Portions were good and prices decent.
Solid taplist, good food. Half pours. What more do you want.
Very good burgers, but far too busy for me. My food too a little longer that I expected, but I understand that happens when every seat in the place is taken.
Good place
After seeing Buster's on "Dinners, Drive ins and Dives" about six months ago we decided to try it. Suffice it to say we've been back several times already as it's become one of our favorite places. We've enjoyed everything we've ordered, something different every time - except for the onion rings which are huge and a must have every visit.
Great bar food and an always excellent tap list. The chips and dip are absolutely killer.
Service was good. Just went for a drink and onion rings. The rings batter on the rings was think. Would have like a lighter batter
It was basically good. Maybe slightly more upscale than your average south Minneapolis neighborhood bar, with a decent menu for a pub, but nothing special. What IS special is the draft beer menu. Yes, they have faux beers for weenies, but they also have 20 or 30 really good craft beers on tap. Definitely with a trip of you like good beer.
Great atmosphere, friendly service. Will be back to try all the tap beers ! Update they keep changing the selections, this will take awhile, YES!!! Simply, a great place !
Cozy, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food is great menu is always getting tweaked. Excellent and we'll curated beer list. They also host many special beer events. Good neighborhood gem.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful food. Killer selection of taps.
Great beer selection and overall good food. Service good and for the first time tonight I didn't have a wait to get in!
Flavorful food, nice atmosphere! All three dishes our group ordered were tasty - a good quality meal.
Buster's is a great little place. The cheese curds were a great app to start. The cranberry mustard that comes with them was amazing. I had the Bison Burger and my wife had the Walleye Rachel. Both were incredible and we will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
One of our favorite neighborhood bars. Food is always good, staff is always friendly.
A great little neighborhood pub with tasty food and an amazing, ever-rotating tap list. Don't miss out on the hot potato chips appetizer!
Food is amazing. After eating there they were on tv on best place to eat.
Great neighborhood joint w the best beer list. Food is unique and delicious
Cozy bar with good food. Patio has about six tables, but nothing spectacular. All of our food was consistent and service was great. Cheese curds were particularly nummy. Also an smoke average beer selection is that's your thing.
We first heard of this place on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. First impression: Old school pub style with a great beer selection. I'm a big fan of craft beer and they have a little bit of everything, from Stout to IPA. The food was tasty and fresh. Service was friendly, quick, and efficient. Establishment as a whole was clean and well kept. We'll be back!
We love Buster's! It's in our neighborhood so we love the convenience but the food is so great we would drive wherever! And the service is always top notch!
My wife and I stumbled upon Buster's (we don't live in the neighborhood) and were so pleasantly delighted with their menu, beer list, service staff and facility! We will for sure head back sometime soon. Super happy about this find!
Quaint place, food was good, nice selection of beer and drinks. A little pricey for the area. Overall a good and fun experience though.
One of my favorite drinking establishments in south Minneapolis. Best curated tap selection. Seasonal and uncommon beers. Friendly bartenders and good bar food.
Hot chips are incredible, other food is good. Cozy place with gluten-free buns!
Would meet friends there for a good time and a drink but probably eat beforehand. Good beer selection but the fries fall short of expectations and Ruben left a lot to be desired as far as flavor.
Food is good, staff is great. Cool place to hang out.
This place is the perfect bar. Its clean, comfortable and has an ideal tap beer selection. The beers are rotated weekly. John might be the best bartender I've ever encountered. His beer knowledge is unparalleled. Highly, highly recommend this joint.
Great place. Good food, great beer menu, plenty of wine. Heads up: no liquor or cocktails, don't let that stop you though.
Buster's does everything right. Their food is delicious and they do the little things that make the food great (homemade sauces, fries, onion rings, etc.). On top of that, a great beer list and wait staff. Will definitely be back.
Great beer, great food, great service.
I enjoyed the Bar. I had Walleye tacos and dry rub wings. Wish i could tell you we loved them. They were just Ok.
Buster's reminds me of a shot gun house: narrow and deep. A great selection of craft beers with a very good menu of interesting foods. I don't know of a time when I have been to Buster's when it was NOT busy with a short wait to be seated. Ordering was fast and service just as fast. Don't expect a cozy, quiet, intimate experience. It's too tight and too loud for that. All in all: good beer, good service, good food, good atmosphere. One of those places you hope stays around for a long, long time.
Great food and wide choice of craft beers. Good ambiance. Only downside: sometimes you have to wait a while to be seated.
Great beer selection and solid burger options. Don't overlook their hand cut potato chips, their halfway between a french fry and what chips are normally. The result is surprisingly delicious. It can get pretty noisy inside when it's busy.
Hire people that don't hate their lives
Delicious burger. Their fries have improved greatly since our last visit. And now they have ranch dressing (for the fries).
Had dinner and drinks here. They over charged my credit card and after speaking with them 3 times (each time being told a manager would call me back) nothing has been resolved. They basically stole money out of my pocket.
Fabulous food for neighborhood bar. Had the breakfast burger. Done perfectly. Recommend the onion rings!
Good food, good beer, and a chill place to hang out!
The food and beer selection was good. My only problem is lunch. Most people meet for lunch to talk and catch up with friends. The music was so loud we couldn’t communicate. We asked to turn it down and they turned it down a teensy bit. Not enough. There were only 2 other diners in booths and 4 or 5 people at the bar. No one was there to party and get drunk to blasting music.
Good food. Great service
Fantastic food, ambiance, and a phenomenal beer selection. Staff are always warm and welcoming. One of my favorite places in the cities to grab a pint. Plus they have dog friendly sidewalk seating.
Had seen this restaurant on Triple D and it was well worth the drive. Neighborhood restaurant serving excellent food. Went during non peak time and was seated immediately. Bison burger was cooked to perfection and the calamari appetizer was the best we have had in a while.
Great food and service!!
I'm really glad we stumbled onto this place! We were hungry, jet-lagged, and looking for a late meal. I was afraid Buster's was going to be more bar than restaurant -- onion rings and wings, and little else. But oh wow, was the food great. Nice little kids menu, too! We had a burger, a Cubano sandwich, and a Caesar salad. I have no idea what sneaky things they do to their Caesars, but DAMN. Delicious. The Cubano was the size of a normal sandwich but somehow stuffed me so full, I had to bring a third of it home. And the fries ... I have a thing for made-from-scratch fries, with no gimmicky, lazy coatings on them, and these were perfect. I only wish I'd had room for dessert.
Great selection of beers, not so heavy on IPAs, a refreshing change from other beer joints. Friendly staff, tasty food, quick service. What's not to love? Kid friendly environment too!
Excellent food. Good staff. Lots of beers on tap.
The burger matched the price asking for it. A solid tasting and filling burger. Definitely will be back. Also a really good beer selection to peruse and maybe try "beer is interesting these days ".
Great food, awesome beers, nice atmosphere. A jewel in Minneapolis
The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed my left-handed dark beer. Great service.
Good food and good prices. Made from scratch sauces and good bar food. If you want something heavy and good, this is for you.
Okay, one of the best spots in town. If you're a local, this is the go-to spot for a drink and a bite, as it's a little off the rail line, and you don't get so many commuters. The beer menu is amaaaaazing and it's updated regularly. The onion rings are my go-to on the menu.
This place was pretty good but I felt like it was a little over-hyped. I mean, the food was quite good, but the overall place was pretty divey, and also they didn't have hard liquor when all I wanted was a good bloody. We tried the food that was featured on triple D, and those dishes were fairly good but not amazing. Overall a solid place. Service was great.
Great neighborhood bar that just serves beer and wine (no hard liquor). No late-night food, which is a bit of a bummer because they have a fabulous scratch kitchen. Reasonably priced and great service.
Delicious and unique menu. Tons of different craft beers.
Flatbread pizza yummy! Caramelized onions + basil!
California burger with fries was fantastic. Food came hot, and fast. Friendly staff. Nice neighborhood place.
Second time there. Food has been great both times. Service was fast and good.
Fantastic neighborhood bar with a large selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Food is always good, sometimes great. Excellent burgers and flatbreads. Usually pretty crowded.
Our favorite place to grab burgers and beer. Cozy pub atmosphere with delicious burgers and sweet potato fries. Beer selection always gives great choices!
Atmospher is good. The food looked good but the main cook (you can see the kitchen from the bar as it’s open concept) had long scraggly black and grey hair and beard too. I just couldn’t get passed this man cooking my food as I just kept imagining finding one of his hairs in my food. If he had a hair and beard net on, as he should have, I would have ordered.
Great food for a great price! Always recommend this place to people in the area.
Didn't know anything about the place when I came in, but immediately fell in love with the food and atmosphere. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. My dad ordered a cup of soup and a burger separately, and the waiter suggested to get it as a side (as it was the same size). I got the Buster Buyer with a side of onion rings. The onion rings were light and crispy, the burger was juicy and the 10K lake sauce was a great complimentary to the burger. This place is definitely a hidden jewel, and I would definitely come back if I'm ever back in town.
I've been a customer here for about 2 years. I always go here for my burger and cider fix but today I went for brunch. Recently I have been leaving Buster's disappointed in the food or service - never both. It's very inconsistent. Today, Rachel our server was wonderful but the steak I ordered was terrible. She offered for the kitchen to remake my order and I declined. I asked for an extra side of hashbrowns instead, it came to me cold within a minute of ordering them. All and all, frustrated with management. I won't be coming back here anymore.
Lots of great beer choices. Enjoyed sitting outside.
Great place, food was excellent, great selection of beers.
Not bad. I was expecting more burger options, though. But the appetizer menu was huge. Ended up having the beef brisket sandwich and fries - really good. Also got some wings and onion rings to start - also really good. The onion rings are battered, and not overly greasy. They also have outdoor seating which is in the shade in the late afternoon/early evening, which is nice.
Second time here. The first time I got the buster burger and was pleasantly satisfied. This time I got the Italian on a cibatta bun and I have to say it was
I would recommend the chicken fried sandwich
It was delicious, hot and tasty to the last bite.
Food was good service was fast :)
Always a great selection on tap. Steak sandwich is one of the best around. When in the neighborhood it is always at the top of our list of places to stop at.
Great Pub fare! Great beer selection! Great service and vibe. The appetizers were delicious. We will be back to try more of the menu and beer list.
This is my go to spot when I'm in the area. Most recently, that was Mayday. The staff was super amazing about making space for the amount of people in our group. I love the fresh menu that changes often, with the steadfast veggie burger I order all winter remaining year-round. Vast beer selection and knowledge staff. My fave for awhile now.
Nice atmosphere and great location. I am vegan, so my options were slightly limited, but they were well identified on the menu. The chips were a bit thick for my taste, but the salsa was very tasty. The vegan burger was well cooked and the bun was excellent. The fries were undersalted for my taste, but had a good crisp. My omnivore companions overall enjoyed their meal. They especially enjoyed the cheese curds.
This place was amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was outstanding.
Great service. Awesome food. Had the rueben with housemade chips. Unreal. Going back soon.
Homey is right! Pretty laid back place...kind of stoner food on crack (really comforting food, done really well, but also some interesting pairings).
Great food, great atmosphere, great beer list, and great staff. Highly recommend this place. And fun trivia on Tuesday
Absolutely delicious burgers and cheese curds.
Last time I went, I just ate a sandwich, but back when I was drinking, I enjoyed meeting friends here. Their beer list is so big, we played a game: You order your friend a beer, so they can't hear what it is, and they have to guess what it was based on the descriptions. They also have trivia once a week, I think on Tuesdays. Great little neighborhood bar!
Excellent food and a wide variety of beers, though I wish they would add another lager or Pilsner. Highly recommend.
Love this place. One of my favs. Always order the potato chips! They are fresh and delicious!
Friday the 15th (yesterday) and 4:19pm I came in for a quick stop to see the menu, and someone who works there had very off-putting attitude. She walked over to the menu section/ wait to be seated section, didn't make eye contact or acknowledge me whatsoever (just like a basic human being, not like a greeting), tapped on the screen (which is how I assumed that she works there), and when she walked back to where she was she bumped into me, and didn't say anything as though I didn't exist. I'm not willing to rule out subverted racism, but I also notice when employees act like that they don't have respect for some kind of aspect about the job - on duty or off duty. I don't know what that person is going through, but first impressions still matter. There's no real excuse for acting like a person isn't there, in general. That speaks on the employees and the clientele.
This is one of my favorite spots for a burger in Minneapolis. Small local feeling. The servers are always friendly. The price for the quality of food is spot on. I recommend getting the side salad with the burgers, it’s always simple and fresh.
Very good food and service. We were in and out in under an hour.
We went to Buster’s for a Darkest Nights, Darkest Beers event. Had a flight of six yummy stouts from Bell’s Brewing—the cherry was especially good. Also enjoyed the spinach salad with poached pear (already vegetarian, hold the goat’s cheese for vegans), the deep fried peanut butter and (fig) Jelly sandwich, and the homemade potato chip. Really, though, have just beer and potato chips. They were incredible.
Bison burger is next level! It's lean enough for medium rare and still has plenty of flavor. Also their beef burgers are great. Whatever blend of beef cuts they are using is right on; great depth of flavor that comes through the bun and toppings.
Great food and beer
The burgers are outstanding. And be sure to try the Hot Chips.
Good food. Their payment system significantly malfunctioned while I was there and I ended up waiting 15 minutes after the meal for the system to work. Not pleasant with a toddler.
Buster's was one of my favorite South Mpls spots until they updated their menu and removed the chipotle chicken sandwich - it was fantastic. Still a great place for good beer as they have a variety of rotating taps. I also enjoy the Buster's wings and their steak sandwich.
Cozy, intimate. Upscale decor neighborhood bar. Lots of beer choices and tv's. Food is very good too
Excellent food nothing bad on the menu. Quick service although not friendly. Food made up for it though. Wide variety of ales.
Best food around. Small neighborhood bar and restaurant. Dark wood booths inside plus high top tables and outdoor seating on the patio. The cheese curds are with the visit alone. Burgers, salads all entrees are delicious. Moderate pricing.
One of my favorite restaurant in the cities! The menu is great, and full of options for Celiacs and vegetarians. Their bison burger is great too!
Excellent!! Yummy walleye Rachel is topped with delicious coleslaw. Chips with dip too!!
Beware, if you order any fish sandwich or entree it will have bones. I took 2 bites of my Walleye Rachel and got a bone stuck in my throat. When I told the waitress she advised "all of the walleye has bones." I have ordered walleye from restaurants all over the cities and I've never had that problem before. Recieved a half hearted "that sucks" and a small discount on the bill. The sandwich would have been delicious if it wasn't for the bones.
Good bar food and nice beer selection.
Stopped in for lunch. We're had eaten here several years ago when in town. Today we enjoyed the Birdie Melt sandwich on sourdough. The sweet potato fries were fresh and had a nice crispy texture. Excellent service. We will be back!
Fun little spot excellent food and service we will definitely be back
Went for Tuesday night Trivia Mafia from 8-10. They had $2 off Indeed beers during trivia which was great. Ordered the Cheese Curds and Beer Braised Beef Sandwich. Both were very tasty. The sandwich had a nice subtle kick to it.
Beer braised beef is worth the wait.
Love going to Buster's. Good tap beer selection and great burgers. House side salad is also wonderful.
This place is awesome, the wife and I go only about twice a year but I'm always looking forward to going. Super great food and awesome service, just be patient if there's a long waiting line when you get there.
Great food and cool atmosphere. Nice clean bathrooms! Great selection of beer!
Great staff and yummy food
Bacon makes everything better. Nice beer selection. Good service.
