Such good food!! Had the melt in your mouth pork belly bap and fried chicken. The Gochujang sauce was spectacular! Reasonable time for pick-up as though the restaurant was full. Friendly service. Definitely going back again.

Matt Foley

The atmosphere of the place is nice, and it’s very clean, menu is a bit small for my liking but I understand why(obviously it isn’t your typical Korean restaurant). Pricing is alright for the portions you get. Overall I’m satisfied with my experience.

The 1st two times were awesome now and more then a moth ago those same 6 order dummies were lousy. The one batch we couldn't even finish, batter was burnt and over cooked. Yesterday's were cold and the chicken wasn't great tasting. So now,I've decided the restaurant was putting it's best foot forward on it's grand opening and sense went way down. I won't be eating there again.

We really had no idea what to expect of this super casual foodie haunt, but wow were we impressed. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy and complimented by a savory sauce that was to die for. I wish I still lived in the Twin Cities as I would visit here often. Highly recommended.

I wanted to leave five stars and don’t want to hurt this business and I think there is promise here. That said, it was a quite bland. The gochujang fell flat and they offered zero alternatives that brought additional heat to the dish. Also, it’s a lot of rice and not a ton of other ingredients. Hoping to try again down the line and hoping for some spicier options.

Basic chicken splashed with sauce Bulgogi bowl was okay but lacked any char on the beef They need more options done better if they want to survive Concentrate the sauces and evenly coat the chicken and make sure the meat is well cooked No need for rare bulgogi

Peter B

Oh my, chicken was delicious. Dragon sauce packs some kick! So good!

Maddy Weismantel

Great food and service.

Yamini Karandikar

Overpriced for what you get - there’s a ton of rice and not many veggies or other toppings. Flavors are ok. I also had the dumplings and I think they would be better if they were not fried. The flavor was lost in the frying process.

The drummies are definitely huge so there's no doubt that the portions are great but the sauces are mediocre. If I was to choose between this place or bon Chon for the food, it would be bon Chon, but for convenience and better service, it would have to be bap and chicken.

Food was amazing. Server was good. Water, napkins, and silverware is self-served. Only issue I had was the ventilation in the restaurant. It was so hot and humid when I was there. Not sure if they're AC was broken or not, but hopefully they got the ventilation fixed.

Pretty good fast-food Korean that sometimes takes some waiting. The Bap chicken is delicious, but other dishes are so so.

Sidney Schultz

The fried chicken and bulgogi are amazing!

Bap & Chicken reminds me of when I visited Korea. The kimchi, chicken and feel of the restaurant is spot on. The price is solid for how much you get in portions. My table got three bibimbap and 12 drumsticks. Honestly the drumsticks are the way to go and they are super big. Don't believe the negative reviews this place is worth checking out.

Delicious food and awesome owner!

This was my Wife and my first visit and we will be back. The industrial look is nice and I like the more "Self Service" aspect of the restuarant. You go to the counter and order. The staff was very helpful explaining the menu so we chose what we wanted. You get a number and be sure to grab your plates and silverware on the way to your table. The food came fast and was very good. I got the Bap and Chicken and my wife got the Bulgogi. Im looking forward to getting the half chicken next time we go.

Delicious fast casual style. Clean and hip feel. Entree ranges $10-15. There is also “build a bap” for customized entrees. They have wine, beer, and ice cream too. Food tastes fresh. Great addition to grand ave.

Sia Thao

The food was very bland... chicken was not fully cooked. If you want chicken go to bon Chon. Their food is way better.

Amanda Lor

Bap and Chicken is overpriced. I rather make the drive to Bonchon. 1. They don't coat the meat. They drizzle the sauce over it 2. they don't serve flats 3. $15 for 3 thighs.... It was small 4. Service was bad 5. FOOD TASTE BLAND!!!!!! had to ask extra sauce! 6. Food was burnt!!!

Fantastic Korean fried chicken from some of the friendliest people I've met. It's clear that they truly care about the community here.

This place is amazing. Their house fermented kimchi? To die for. The bulgogi bibimbap? Made my month. The Japchae dumplings? So crunchy, so tasty. I am definitely coming here again!

Alex Green

Great customer service with amazing food. Everything was spot on! A+

Angela Weeldreyer

I ordered the Uff-Da, which is a bowl with fried cheese curds, fried pickles, bacon wrapped spam, and tots made with rice. It was delicious and a fun MN inspired take on bibimbap. I would like to go back again and try the bulgogi or pork belly! John was very nice. Wonderful restaurant to have in the neighborhood

Great, quick, different flavors. Nice addition to Saint Paul.

Pretty good. Those drumsticks are huge.

Amazing place, had a couple of Bap and Chickens with tweaks to each and also built a fried chicken bap. All were rediculously flavourful, we were honestly blown away by how authentic yet contemporary the flavors were with the addition of the chicken. My mother-in-law turned to me when she took a bite of the chicken and said, "what, how did they get the chicken to taste like this, it's so yummy." Props, guys, props. Definitely hope to make this place a staple. MN needs more Korean places like this, it's so refreshing!

Katie Evert

This food is amazing! It's tasty, hot and fresh. It's a bit on the spendy side, but well worth it for the quality ingredients. The servings are true portion sizes, so be sure to order extras to bulk up your order if you are super hungry or require a lot of food at a sitting.

AJ Timek

Food is really, really good. Prices range from around 8-15 for a standard meal. The place looks great, but if you aren’t fond of Korean culture, the excessive K-pop entertainment can be a little much. But if you want some great food for a standard price these days, definitely give it a try!

Lori Germscheid

This is a fairly newer place. You order at a counter. The gal that helped us was very nice and helped us understand the menu. I was so excited to try the Korean Fried chicken but found out that it's all dark meat. Not a fan! So that was disappointing. I ended up building a bowl. Sorry to report but it was just like any other place where you build a bowl. The sauce was pretty good though. Overall, I probably will not go back.

The Bap and Chicken was incredible - best fried chicken in town! Great kimchi and bibimbap bowls too!

Sarah Nichols

Service was great! Chicken was crispy. Some good flavor combos, however nothing seemed fresh. I got one of the bimibop bowls and the ingredients were hit and miss, but the thing that really tanked it was the rice in the bowl wasn’t fresh. It was hard like it bad been put in the bowl hours ago. I would love to see this business have success. I crave the Korean Fried Chicken I have all over the San Diego and LA area and would love to have that here in St. Paul. So far, this place isn’t going to do it.

Drop by after work for a dinner take put. Had the bap and chicken, tofu bap(noodles), thighs and 12 Pc drums. Waited about 20minutes for my take out it wasnt too bad.The taste overall is good and flavorful. We tried the soy sauce and kbb sauce...they taste kind of the same. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy and delicious. I dont reccomend doing naked fried chicken tho, it was pretty plain and just greasy. Service was 5 star, they were very nice and explain dishes to people who had questions.

Service is great but would love more kick to the sauces.

A really good meal. Flavor all over the place. Yum!

Laura Nelson

We shared two menu items, pork belly and the Bap and Chicken, the kimchi's delicious, the Korean Fried Chicken crunchy outside and juicy on the inside, very tasty.

nichole arlt

The food was tasty, though we felt it could use a bit more spices/flavor. It takes awhile to get a table and they seem to still be figuring out the flow of bringing the food out but I'd definitely go back.

Delicious Korean - American fusion restaurant with creative takes on bibimbap and Korean fried chicken. I went with a group and got to sample a variety of bowls. The fried chicken sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. I really enjoyed the semame soy sauced chicken dummies (monstrously large chicken drum sticks). I didn't get to try any other sauced chicken but what I had was perfectly Juicy and flavorful. I also had the burger bap, which I think would taste better is it had rice and kimchi in it (I did add kimchi) to make it less heavy. I had a couple bites of the "oofda" which is basically a state fair lovers bowl filled with deep fried goodies and it was quite good. I expect I will be back soon.

I have never liked kimchi. I loved theirs. I walked through the door surprised by the minimalist design of the restaurant and some how primed to be experimental. The gentleman behind the counter talked up The Bap and Chicken, and it. was. awesome. My wife and I are definitely making this one of our regular spots.

Ordered the tofu noodles, pork belly and kimchi fried rice... tofu noodles were okay... they were ramen noodles in a soupy red sauce. The kimchi rice had way too much sauce and you can tell the veggies in it were frozen bagged veggies. Pork belly is straight robbery!! 6 small cubes of overcooked pork belly with potatoes for $13. The only plus was... it wasn't Minute Rice

Megan Fesser

Absolutely delicious food, friendly service and great atmosphere. Everything I've ordered head been top-notch, but the pork belly is really sublime.

Good food, clean restaurant, quick and friendly service.
