Great place! Excellent service! Stopped in for a drink and appetizer on our way up north. Our Bartender Dillon was the best!

David Baker

This is our go to restaurant in Frankfort. It has always provided excellent food and the staff is very well trained and friendly. The new owner, Jen?, is doing a fantastic job in her new capacity with dealing with all the challenges it brings. Keep it up and we will be back very soon.

Angela Cini

Sushi was fresh, hubby's sweet and sour chicken was soaked in the sauce making it overwhelming in flavor and soupy. service was slow/ forgot my appetizer. beautiful deck with a great view.

I would have given it a five but. The egg drop soup was delicious, the red dragon roll, veggie roll and California were also good. Our friend had the Szechuan chicken which I tasted and it was flavorful but chicken was a bit dry. I had a saki flight which was fun and I’ve not seen available before or maybe just didn’t ask. The views of the harbor/marina are great. When we walked it to see how long the wait would be the new owner was at the host stand and was not that pleasant. We then went to the bar to order drinks. While waiting for our drinks I asked the bar tender how much the saki flight was and she said I have no idea and offered no other info. We saw an open table in the bar so I asked the owner if this was available and was told we were lucky they fit us in and that the table wasn’t available (I get it maybe it was a stressful night but you’re in customer service so be nice). Our waitress was the saving grace and was super friendly, attentive and was apologetic for the wait times for food and drinks and overall lack of communication from management. She said she thought the saki flight was $9 and came back and said she knew she said $9 but would $11 work and yes that was fine but they really need to get their act together and if they do it could be a great place.

Had lunch here yesterday Hot and sour soup was bland, fried rice, dry and bland as well. They have no idea how to prepare Asian food. Last time for me to visit.

Alexandra Wightman

My husband and I loved this restaurant. The new manager is fantastic, polite and funny without hover too much. The food is excellent, they have some of the best sushi we've ever had. The drinks were so good I got seconds. We shared their fried cheesecake (which was amazing) and left fat, happy, and satisfied.

Sharon McCarthy

An amazing experience

Alanah is The best Server

Not what it used to be. Service was not as friendly. Food was not as consistent as it once was. Prices are very high compared to the quality and amount of food you get. So dad used to be one of my favorites.

We had chicken egg roll and crab rangoon for an appetizer. The crab rangoons were slightly sweet and could have been stuffed more, but they were very good. The Eggroll was nothing special. I had the vegetarian red curry. It came with egg flower soup. The soup contained carrots and cabbage, and was not all that egg-y. I really enjoyed it was different. The curry was very good and not too spicy. The wife had sweet and sour chicken. She thought it needed to be sweeter and have more pineapple. The carrots did not work in it. The remaining vegetables were fine. She thought the fitted rice we was unremarkable. As an aside, they have a Mark Rothko poster on the wall. So do I at home. I liked that.

Edward Sihler

Great Pacific rim food. The hot and sour soup has just the right amount of heat to augment the other delicate flavors and chased my sore throut away, as all good got and sour soup should. The fried rice was wonderful, also the pot stickers were a delicate mixture of flavors with just the right mouth feal of pan seared.

Sherrie Elliott

Awesome food and service a hidden gem in northern michigan

Sara Schmidt

Excellent food! Great portions.

Joel Raymond

I like this place and the food, but I don't know what is happening to it. The manager belittled our waitress in front of us. The booth seats need to be replaced. They used magazine clippings to hold their napkins and silverware together. I watched the guy setting tables outside run his hands through his hair multiple times. He then set the silverware down touching the fork tines and head of the spoon.

Holly Doan Spraul

Great (one and only) Asian food option in area. The food was surprisingly good, the service and ambience were great. Superior water views from many tables. We look forward to returning.

Julie Hawksworth

We had an amazing dinner at Fusion after docking in Jacobson’s Marina for the night. The restaurant has beautiful views over the marina - and their open air porch’ is perched above the marina so it was breezy and comfortable. The menu has an amazing selection - we all ordered several different things, including several different curry dishes, dumplings, green beans and garlic, all delicious. Manager and waitress provided great service, were friendly and fun.

Kimberlee Ely

Great food and atmosphere. Low on staff so it took some time to get our food and we ordered little appetizers. Over all would go again.

rusty roberts

Excellent food, I have been coming to Fusion for over 15 years and it has only gotten better

Isabella Zuk

All the food was very good. The lunch special is a good price for a lot of food. All the soups are very delicious.

Alanah Larson

Fantastic Service and Classic cuisine available, as well as "Fusion" foods. Encompasses Chinese, Japanese, Tiawanese, Vietnamise and Korean styled meals. Will return, and would highly recommend!!!

Jeff L

Only 4 stars because they service is a bit slow. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind operating on lake time; the staff is super friendly and the food is excellent. Can't wait to come back.

L B

One of worse restaurant in Frankfort we waited nearly 2 hours to find out our orders were incorrect and they wasn’t even that busy not a tourist friendly place to be

Sugar Booger

We always have dinner here when we go up north. Everything is delicious!

Michele Pfeiffer

Beautiful waterfront view. The service was friendly and fast. The egg drop soup was superb and the Sesame Honey Chicken was delicious. It definitely did not disappoint. Can’t wait to go back!

Laurie Lindeman

There are other restaurants to choose from that have good food. Our table of 4 will not be returning. One star was given for the ambiance.

Richard Bowman

My favorite restaurant! Good prices, great service and amazing food. Call ahead on weekends and holidays.

Lynn Bauman

Waited an hour and half for food that never came. Waiter blamed on computer glitch, Though the rest of the guests were served. Finally left. Couldnt even get the bill for the drinks. Went to Coho up the street and had a awesome experience!

L Alstrom

Used to go there and loved it. Don't know what happened but the food changed and is now not very good. I don't usually post bad reviews but the service was just terrible and the food is not worth it anymore. We got there and asked to sit outside they said our group of 5 people was to big, apparently a fire hazard. A few minutes later a group of 6 or 7 went outside. When we got there the outside area was empty. We had even called ahead and asked for seats outside. To make things worse we waited 45 minutes to actually have people take are order, they forgot about us. 3 minutes before are food was supposed to come they came out and told us they were out of something and we had to chose something else to order. When the food came it was bland and just gross. I would have recommended this restraunt a few years ago but not anymore. We decided the we are never going back again. If I could I would rate it 0 stars.

Margaret Karoub Quintal

It’s alright. To be fair coming from Southeastern MI I am used to a great variety of Thai and Japanese cuisine so my standards may be high. Service was poor - they might have been understaffed. Had to ask for my second wine glass and soup 15 minutes after my meal came to do so I had to flag down a hostess. Server never checked on us but wasn’t overtly rude. My husband wasn’t a huge fan of his Cali roll but he did like the peanut noodle. I didn’t dislike my pad thai it was sufficient - but I did greatly enjoy the chicken egg roll. We will be back due to the lack of options in Frankfort but it’s just alright. Unrelated to service and food It could use a fresh coat of paint.

C Mills

This place was an absolute mess. New management took over recently but it's obvious they don't know what they're doing yet. We waited almost two hours for our food while many groups around us walked out due to the impossibly long wait. Zero customer service throughout the night. Only saving grace is the fantastic food

Alec Renart

Has a great reputation but I prefer authentic Asian.

Sally Blackburn

We shared appetizers and a bottle of wine after the movie. It was great!

Lorri Wilson

Waited and waited and waited for the food, which when it showed up was over sauced. My friend's food was so bad she couldn't eat it. The poor waitress was in the kitchen trying to make our food. New Owner's have to get the kitchen in order. The appetizers were good.

Anne Stevenson

Food was cold to the touch. Rice was crunchy and not cooked. Beef was tasteless. Don't recommend.

Jeff Mix

The food was amazing, when it finally came!! Stalf was friendly, what stalf there was. Seated at 5:50 drinks 6:10. Ordered food at 6:15 receive meal at 7:05. Again, amazing food, but very slow ticket time.

Kristin K

This place used to he amazing, it's really sad how disappointing it is now. Bad service, flavorless food

david mathia

Food was fantastic. Service and Staff were professional and fun too!

Jamie Brewer

Very very disappointed. We used to really love this place but stopped in last week and it was terrible. Bartender had no clue how to make drinks. It took over an hour to get our first drinks. Had to wave down a hostess to even get water or silverware. Food took forever and half of it was wrong. Zero management there. We asked to see the manager and was told neither owner or manager were there but assistant manager would come by. He ignored us and never came by. Then because we were a party of 8 they added an automatic 18% gratuities to a meal that honestly was so bad it should have been comped. Will never go back again

Sandy Bigtree

I ordered the basil chicken bowl and it was more like a big bowl of soup—mostly liquid. However, the liquid was more like a thick brown sugary syrup. I drained the syrup off into another bowl and ate what fraction of the meal remained. We enjoyed this restaurant a year ago, but after today’s meal, we will not be returning. My husband ordered the generals chicken, but again it was terribly sweet.

peter stack

Has gone through multiple owner changes, and it seems to get less authentic and more pricy each time.

Lynn Stephenson

Have to get their tacos...doesn't matter what kind, they're all fantastic! Prices are fair, service is fast. Not a huge place, so if you're there during tourist season, try slightly off peak hours. Worth the wait. Highly recommend. I can't comment on the Asian half of their menu....I always get tacos ;)

Robert Webber

Bummer! I have been going here for my birthday dinner (and others) for five years it has been my go to place for great creative Asian food. But this year was different. We went with friends and ordered out favorites as always. The appetizers were good as usual and so was the soup. The services was great as well. But the meals...I always order the Teriyaki Bourbon Tofu, which was cut up pieces of crispy fried tofu on top of a pile of egg noodles and veggies with a wonderful bourbon teriyaki sauce liberally poured all over. This time I got a big chunk of tofu that looked like the out line of a square box, it was in cut into four big blobs with a small amount of noodles, one piece of carrot and very little sauce. Everyone else said their food was not like before and not nearly as enjoyable. We asked our waiter if something had changed. He said yes, the owners were opening a new restaurant in Grand Rapids and he had not seen them in a very long time and the kitchen staff keeps turning. I really hope that things turn around as this used to be one of the best places to east Asian food in Norther Michigan.

Keith Howell

Beautiful view restaurant seemed clean, had chicken egg roll that were pretty good, won tun soup was cold in middle (guessing microwave) chicken Szechuan was good but not spicy at all, however the sushi was delicious and beautiful display, also my beer glass was filthy however they did bring me a clean on once I pointed it out. A little more attention to quality this could b a very nice restaurant. Service was good and it was a decent price too. Hope they step up their game.

Adreena Swain

The service was fast and fantastic. The food was amazing and delicious. Defiantly coming back next time.

Ted Hill

Excellent vegetarian menu choices.

Randall Black

Good food.Eat outside if its warm. Good service.

Randall Arndt

Always love their food but had a bad experience tonight finding two hairs in my food. They took the plate back and made another order. But while I ate I wondered if they really made another dish or took the hair out and brought it back out. No discount on bill was offered for the inconvenience.

robin hoffeld

Used to be my favorite restaurant ever this time my sushi didn't have a normal color or flavor. Seafood in the seafood delight was over cooked and no flavor in the whole dish the Tom yum soup was not the same the veggies were cut entirely to big the only thing I really wanted was spring rolls but the gluten free fryer isn't in operation until summer. Ordered out with friends they all agreed and the sesame chicken was blah worst 60$ spent on food I'll give it one more try since I have always loved this place...

D Barnard

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s still top notch! Our dinner tonight was awesome as expected. The dishes were as special, unique and fantastic as ever! We had great service. We will be back there soon!

Kim Blake

We have been here every summer for years-great spot with excellent food. Our waiter was so patient and answered all of our questions as well as made suggestions. Vegetarian spring rolls To start and red curry ! Great-we will be back

Jessica Mauer

I wasn’t going to write a review... however... This is a restaurant we have been frequenting for many years. We have NEVER had a bad meal here. They now have new ownership and new chefs, and you can tell. The menu is the same as it has been for a while but if you are expecting the same caliber of food, you will be disappointed. I expressed our concerns with our food to our waitress (who had great knowledge of the menu, and was great, friendly, and attentive) who then relayed them to the new management. This person was “too busy” to come speak with us, even just for a minute. This is why I feel compelled to write this review. We were offered free dessert, but we declined considering how our meal had already gone. The wonton soup, crab rangoon, and sesame shrimp were decent. The fried rice was extremely dry and bland. The rest of the food was bland and oily. Needless to say we are bummed out with how things have changed. We hope there can be some improvements made since this is a very unique restaurant and a great kind of place to have in the area.

E Rase

In this land of beauty, topographic as well as cultural, this place indulges one in comfort and taste and joy. The new management makes this a "go to" for Up-North dining!!!

Emmy Quance

Over the summer, the quality of the food started going downhill. After being disappointed so many times, I stopped ordering for about 5 months, but today I decided to try again. AMAZING! I'm so glad they were able to turn this place around because when the food is good, it's REALLY good.

Dan Simon

Good food at a fare price.

Mary M

Food was great and so was the food.

BEVERLY MARLET

Food and waiter staff are wonderful

Darrell Bielecki

Good food and good service.

Casey Davis

They were very flexible for the vegan in our group which was appreciated. The food was okay and the atmosphere was nice. The service was very slow, but we did go on a Wednesday evening and the waiter was brand new so that may have had something to do with it. Everyone we met was kind and thoughtful.

J Prior

Just ate here, food was great. The one star is for the service we received from Kelly V. She was awful, unfriendly, repeatedly messed up our order and never came back to check on us. We even had to go find her for our check. If it was busy, I would have been more understanding, but it was dead in there. Also, we could here her complaining about her job and her coworkers. Just ridiculous. We live in the area and we will NOT be back.

Shannon Shafer

Was there for late lunch. You aren't able to order miso soup by the cup, only a quart for 9.95. The beef lo main had a lot of beef flavoring but no actual beef. Our waitress went mia after the appetizer. The crab rangoon were sparsely filled. Had to ask another waitress for a box and our check. She was super nice and after our waitress threw our Check on the table and walked away the 2nd woman took care of cashing us out graciously. I know you think we must have been rude, but we were not.

Jami Bond

Waterfront seating, excellent service, delicious food. We will definitely be back.

Christian Baron

My food was great. Server did not know the beer list. She wasn't sure how the fish on the menu was cooked. I was dining with a friend who made it clear that he has a onion allergy. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication. Onions in his dish. Manager gave us a discount. I'll go back because this experience was unusually below average.

Sco tt

best calamari and sushi!

Dan Operhall

So despite recent poor reviews I decided to give this place a try. I only live about 15 minutes away. I get there at 7:15pm and I'm told there is a 35 minute wait, no biggie, give them my phone number and go walk around frankfort. I get a call about 35 minutes later, expecting to be told my table is ready. Instead I'm told "we aren't going to be able to get you in tonight, there is a 2 1/2 hr wait". Not sure how it went from 35 minute wait to a 2.5 hr wait, and not being able to seated for the rest of the night but this experience would have ruined a date night had I not had a backup plan. I gave this place a chance despite the reviews since new owner but was really disappointed and I didn't even get to eat!

Drita D'Alessandro

Great location in Frankfort. My husband's Chicken curry dish was very good, I got the Mongolian Beef and it was terribly bland. We got a Calamari appetizer though that was yummy. I ordered some Jasmine Tea, that tasted like regular black tea couldn't tell it was Jasmine Tea. So really mixed feelings on this place. Staff was very nice and attentive though.

Ben

Best Asian food in Northern Michigan, and the view of Frankfort harbor from the balcony is amazing.

Nathaniel Dansville

Friendly staff, delicious food. Ordered the red curry , great blend of flavors and spice.

jenny lillie

Good place to eat. Lots of food. Sesame chicken is super sweet. Egg drop soup is good.

Chris Glowe

The appetizer tray was great for sharing. Sushi was delicious. Fantastic staff!

Sean Sullivan

I had a pick up catering order for a party last week and food was awesome as usual (they also catered my wedding). Jennifer the new owner is super nice and the order was spot on and right on time. By far one of my favorite places to eat in northern Michigan.

vicki wass

Food was was just ok and service was slow last couple of times we were there.

Kathy Balchunas

We were at Fusion yesterday, it has changed Food and service. It was a place that was very special to Frankfort. I would not go back again. I know there's a new owner but food service and little details that were given are not there We were customers for over 15 years

Jeanne Case

New management (July 2019). The food was delicious but be patient while the new owner takes over. Order a glass of wine (I had a blueberry mojito) and an app immediately because you may have a wait for your food. The wait will be worth it. The egg drop soup and egg rolls were both homemade. The peanut noodles were sweet and spicy and the General”s Chicken was crispy, sweet and spicy. The sauces were delicious. The new owner has her staff working hard on a busy night. While she gets the bugs out, order a drink and relax or go during a non peak time.

Stephen Rulison

Over priced, food is just okay

Hannah Fuentes

Everything missed the mark with this one really. Slow service and we had to wait for napkins and cutlery way past when our appetizer was served. All the food was brought out to us cold and every dish was drowning in sauce. Only enjoyable thing about the fusion is the waterfront view...

Mandy McCombs

Great service, great food! Must try the chicken fried rice!!! Sooooo yummy

Gregg Dietz

Nice sit down restaurant, quality of entrees is good, nice to sit and look out on the harbir

David Wittwer

Try the spicy Julep. The owners took the time to come check in during our meal. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was even better. Would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

Carl Lindsey

Used to be great place for Asian food, but now it's mediocre at best and overpriced for what you get. Service was pretty bad and at times unprofessional

Mary Carpenter

Good food, friendly

Darlene Marquardt

Good food fair price

Beth Buckner

Ordered off the chow now app for lunch. Was emailed 2 confirmations that order would be ready at 1:42pm. Went to pick up lunch. The manager on duty was horrible (to say the least) Bad attitude, no smiles. Was rude to me and other guests and employees. Lunch was not ready so I waited, she told me that I hit the wrong button on the app so my food wasn’t going to be ready till 6pm but she was having the kitchen fix it for me now. When I told her that I had two confirmation emails telling me the time it would be done she really didn’t care to hear that. While standing at the bar waiting for my food a gentleman walked in asked her if they served coffee, she told him they do not have to go cups. He asked if he could sit at the bar and drink it. Her response was “the coffee here isn’t very good and it’s very cheaply made”.... who says that to a guest!? I turned to him and said Petal and Perks down the street, great coffee and way better service! He was very appreciative of my suggestion. Another guest asked about sitting outside and if it was hot on the back deck, her snarky response was “it’s as hot out there as it is out front”! I work in Frankfort and have been getting lunch at least once a week this summer and that stopped yesterday. When you treat guests and your employees like that, I will not support you. Remember negative reviews go farther than good reviews.

Mary Cox

The Fusion, in Frankfort, Michigan on M22 near the beach of Lake Michigan is a phenomenal night out. You can eat in or outsude, both overlook the boat docks and Bestie Bay. You can get sushi, fancy meals, fantastic drinks (alcohol and non-alcoholic) and wonderful appetizers. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of our favorites for when we want to go out on a date w/o the kids. But kids are welcomed there w open arms. You do not have to dress up to go here, casual dress clothes are fine. And when you are done w your wonderful meal, you can walk a block and watch the sunset over Lake Michigan. If you have not been to The Fusion, YOU NEED TO GO!!!!

Erin Fredericks

Absolutely wonderful all around. Fantastic food that's different from everything else around Frankfort (or anywhere near for that matter!) Great staff too (ask and they can make it happen). Dietary restrictions are NO problem at all - there's always multiple options no matter what the constraint. I can't say enough about this gem in little Frankfort!!

roy cunnoihjam

Poor service frozen fish. Everything’s great until the food and service. Employees don’t get paid on time. List goes on and on

Marc Maday

Food was awesome and the service was great! We will be dining here more often!

Rachel Meyers

Good sushi & drinks, nice atmosphere and won't break the bank. We will be back!

Sam Daering

This used to be an excellent restaurant, a place which my family and I would look forward to visiting. Now it’s just cookie-cutter Chinese takeout quality food served on fancy plates by disinterested staff. Several of the dishes have a surprisingly high amount of carrot slices, so if you love carrots this may be the place for you, but if you’re trying to have a unique and memorable dinner in Frankfort try someplace else.

Sai Yaswanth

As the same suggests, the menu is full of fusion food of all the Asian cuisines. We ordered egg drop soup, veggie sushi rolls, hot and sour soup, chicken noodle soup. The taste was quite unique and refreshing but could have been better. The service was good and was well greeted and welcomed.

Laura Alexander

The service was atrocious. The hostess actually swore in front of us when trying to seat us. My one son never got his food. We never got our iced tea. We had to chase down water. I initially felt bad for the waiter, but he turned out to be rude.

Kasey Connor

My husband and I came on our honeymoon and we had London as our waiter. He was very patient with us as we are both particularly picky. We told him we wanted to try Sushi for the first time, but was unsure what to order. He took it upon himself to pick out a shushi order he thought we would enjoy. We also ordered egg rolls and each got an entree. All the food was amazing. The manager was very accommodating! We asked if we could sit outside but there was no seating so she put us closest to the window. Very great experience! We will be back next time!

Ryan Glenn

Great spot

Lyetta Genung

It was closed during listed business hours

Amy Hohler

Service was good. The hostess was strange. Food was great or weird. Egg drop soup had more vegetables than I am accustomed to including carrots and bok choy?, but was still good. Egg rolls were average. Crab Rangoons were great with a sweet hint, but they were a bit lacking in filling. Sweet and Sour chicken was just odd. Carrots and onions were the predominate veggies instead of peppers and pineapple.

Bethany Buchanan

Food is pretty good and menu has a nice variety. Service could definitely be improved. Server seemed to have short term memory loss.

Peggy-Rod Pepera

Good food large portions

henry fox

The food was great and the bartender made sime amazing drinks!

Shelly Rush

The food was terrible. The wonton in the soup was cold in the middle like they had just taken it out of the fridge and dropped it in. The rice was undercooked and the sauces on the chicken were bland.
