This Restaurant belongs to the category of Mexican restaurant.
I visit this lovely place quite often! This is my favorite place to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot many times. The food is very good, the crew is courteous and the prices are reasonable. I like being in this place for a tasty lunch.
Nice ethnic atmosphere. Most menu items very good..maybe depends on which chef is on duty. Prices are fair. Make physical improvements to facility when needed. Caution on the check. Automatic 15 per cent gratuity after a certain amount of guests.. some servers receive double tip because patrons do not review check.
Sat at the bar n received great service!
One of the better Taqueria's I have had in Detroit, Michigan. The queso was good, cheesy, and tasted authentic. There were a lot of meat options for tacos and almost all mexican/hispanic dishes available. You can find almost anything you are craving. The service was fairly quick, the waitress was very helpful and we left happy and full.
The food and service were just ok. I was charged 4$ for guacamole on my taco salad....I think that's a little excessive. My strawberry margarita was really good. I gave an extra star for the amazing mariachi band who made the trip worth it for me! They took requests and played my favorite mexican song!
Food was plentiful, deliciois and reasonable. Atmosphere was fun and the place was very clean. Service and servers were personable and friendly. We will be back
I lived in Dallas for 2 years and STILL never had better Mexican food than this!!! This place is a Detroit stable!! Top 5 Places to grub in the D!! There's nothing on the menu that won't melt in your mouth. The chimichanga, or enchilada meal are usually my go-to (s) but everything literally SLAPS!! The beans and rice are to die for
I can’t tell you the last time I’ve had live music at dinner! But this place had it! Food was excellent and flavorful! You want to come here for dinner when you’re in town.
Best tortillas. I usually don't like corn tortillas but these were amazing.
Excellent Mexican food, very authentic, good prices
Service was good. No wait right around 5pm on a Sunday, but by 6pm there was a line. Food was good, but not stellar. Nice dessert selection.
Great food! Great staff! Love the decor and how clean everything is. Authentic mariachi music over the radio. Great prices and specials. Also some of the staff gets a kick when you talk to them in spanish, just dont butcher it.
This place is SO. FREAKING. GOOD! They were accommodating of a large group (Maybe 25 people), and the service was still exceptional. Food was out quick, and portions were huge! If I lived closer, I would go more often!
First time here. Great variety on the menu. Nice restaurant. Highly recommended
Omg food was great. It's real authentic Mexican food and is great... Great drinks as well. The mango margarita is a must. Great customer service too!!! This is my new restaurant
The food is always pretty good...we usually get a large botana and it'll feed 4 easily. The wait for a table is sometimes 60-90 minutes and parking can be crazy, but the service is almost always wonderful.
Nice food quite place pruces avarage no skirt steak but meat is good for asada tacos suadero wich is fine.
Nice decor.Friendly waitress.Great food and nice size portions. No complaints......12.50 for a shot of Don Julio.........
Awesome place. Went with my Mom and sister for lunch. Food and service was great. The restaurant was very clean!
It had world food the service was great that's a place I would go back here and eat all the time
Excellent food and atmosphere! Wait was not too long!
Wonderful customer service. Clean restaurant. Food is good and prices are cheap for a large serving of food. Plenty of parking space.
Taqueria Mi Pueblo is the place to go for amazing mexican food. Prices are beyond fair. Platters come in big portions. Accompanied by a mariachi band to enjoy live singing through the evening. If you are from Canada, tje drive is well worth it. I highly suggest giving this place a try at least once
Every staff person was attentive, the food was delicious and purchased for a great price. The Mariachi Band was an extra bonus!
You definitely get what you pay for. The food is great and it doesn't break your wallet. They have live music and the atmosphere is great.
First time here with a friend for her B-Day, great food and nice atmosphere!
My family comes from GR around 4 or so times a year to visit Greenfield Village and a visit is NEVER complete without a post musuem/village stop at Taqueria Mi Pueblo. The food is the real deal. The environment is warm and welcoming. I feel very at home everytime we dine, and ALWAYS leave satisfied. You're missing out if you don't stop in - don't let the neighborhood deter you!
Cool, unusual yet classic place with very good food and drinks. The food is high quality and more original than typical Mexican food found in suburban places. Worth the drive, which was scenic, anyway. They have a separate sit down bar room too.
Great food and excellent service. Everything tastes good and the prices are so reasonable.
It has great Mexican food. They have great service and the location feels very authentic. I used to go there all the time when I was little they have great kids choices and now that I'm a little older I like the green enchiladas. They also have great desserts and a great tres leches cake. Over all I would highly recommend.
One of my go-to places for authentic Mexican. We try to go at least once every couple weeks, especially on the weekends. The food is delicious ,the service is good and they always have a mariachi band on the weekends. what's not to love?, and the place is always packed because everybody knows that the food here is delicious. decent prices also
Authentic cuisine, excellent mole. Roomy dining area, spacious parking lot.
Super authentic and off the beaten path. Really a vibrant place with great service and delicious food. One of my Mexicantown favorites.
You can always tell if a place is successful and worth it when there is not only a takeaway version across the road, but there's a waiting list to get a table. I wouldn't come starving but a good appetite helps as it is worth the wait. A great range of Mexican fare at a decent price, there is definitely a dish for everybody. The desserts are also worth a try if you can fit them in.
Awesome place to eat ‼️ Authentic Mexican cuisine & it is visibly pleasing. Food was fantastic & the service was fast & friendly , I would eat their every week if I could .
Great food, fantastic service, can't beat them for all around food experience!
Ground beef taste like meat loaf.. Had NO FLAVOR at all.
This was my first time trying this restuarant and I enjoyed it! The food was good the entertainment was great. The restuarant is much larger than what it looks like from outside. Will go back!
Best spicey chicken tacos around. Grab 5 or more almost everytine I visit Michigan. Don't forget to add cheese. Corn tortillas are house made I believe and awesome. The flour is house made I believe as well and also very good
Delicious! My favorite of all the places in this area.
Very good food especially the rice. service was amazing too!! bathrooms are pretty.
Great food! Great experience for a amazing price!
LOVE this place! Every time I come to Michigan we make a trip to Detroit to eat at this restaurant. Their food is awesome and it’s cheap!
Favorite restaurant in southwest detroit, they're botanas are amazing.
Truly enjoy dinners here love the authentic atmosphere
Kinda overrated. the staff was friendly and the food was only ok for the price. It's a hipster hotspot.
I've never had flan I liked until I've tried it from here. Yummy tacos and decent prices. Smells like fabuloso which reminds me of home. Love it.
We had a family-gathering dinner here, on the recommendation of other friends. We were not disappointed. Good service, nice atmosphere, delicious food at reasonable prices. What else could one ask for.
We love this place. downtown detroit has so many cool places now but this one is one of my favorites and is always consistent no matter how busy they are. the drinks are always great and service is fast. Good place to meet with friends or groups. I would recommend.
I love the happy hour drinks very much worth it. The food is awesome as well as the service.
The Mexicans in the area go to Taqueria Mi Pueblo because it’s that good. The menu is extensive. If you’ve never tried CHICHARRONES (pork rinds), it’s a cultural experience waiting for you (It’s fried pork fat or bacon, so don’t do it for your health). The restaurant is large with three areas to be seated. I’ve always had great service and food. I’m not excited about their chips, however, it helps me eat less and save my hunger for the dinner.
Loves the environment!! The decor is totally on point. It feels like home to me. The service was great, very friendly and fast. The food delicious. Totally recommend it.
Food was delicious. We ordered the beef tacos and the steak fajitas. Could have kicked up the heat a bit, but the flavors were authentic. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The neighborhood feels shady but as soon as you walk through the door you forget where you are.
The best food I have ever eaten!
My favorite restaurant in Mexicantown. I highly recommend here over the restaurants off 75. The drinks are also amazing!
Food was okay. I still like the trucks down in Southwest a better.
Omg one of the best places i have ate at in a while, everything from how clean it was and the friendly workers and the food was outstanding.food was nice and hot and tasted out of this world...... we will be back
Food was very good. Atmosphere was also good. Worked in this area since 1974. A group recommended this for our luncheon. We all liked this place.
My drink was tasty but the nachos were plain: meat, cheese, and chips period.
The food was good and hot. At the same time, our menus had sauce spilled inside it, which was disturbing; our table was sticky, the basket that holds the chips had old food stains on it that could have been cleaned.
Three food is always great here. But be prepared for a long wait, especially on the weekends. But don't despair, the food is worth the wait
The margaritas are huge, tasty, and cheap!! The delicous Paloma had me a little tipsy restaurant despite it's somewhat small size and was cheap so I still give it 5 stars. Fajitas were grilled to perfection. Great prices for everything!! Loved the regular salsa but the hot salsa has an intense cilantro flavor so if you're not a fan of cilantro I'd skip the hot salsa. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant
This would be the best mexican place I visited in Detroit. Amazing food , great service but there could be some wait time if you dont get there early. They have some great art in the place enhancing the ambience of the place.
Food is very good, service is good also.
I loved it..we had a party of 10 and Alexandria was spot on with everything.
Great service! Authentic! All happy in our group. Includes a nice variety like lengua and ceviche.
My family and I love coming here. Everything is amazing! The food, the drinks, and the atmosphere.
Great Mexican food and great ambiance! I can't give it a full 5 stars because the service can be improved. We visited the restaurant for lunch on a Friday and we saw other tables being seated, served, and bill paid while we were still waiting to get our food. Our food order was simple: 3 tacos, 2 tostadas.
A hidden gem for lunch. Tucked away on Fix. But it's worth a trip. Took a group of 25 for lunch and everyone raved about the food. Service was quick too
Good authentic Mexican food. Nice decor and lot of parking but expect good amount of waiting during weekends particularly. Worth a wait though !
Wasn't sure how to rate this place exactly.. I absolutely loved this place and how authentic it was (despite it being huge and having a huge corporate feel to it, like a Mexican Applebee's or something), but I had a couple complaints: the guacamole was extremelyyy bland and our server wasn't all that great. Not only was she not attentive (I could have used a to-go box, but she was no where to be found), she also botched up our bill and put all of the drinks on my girlfriend's bill. But that's forgivable. What I don't find forgivable though is that this place also charged for soda water out of the gun, which I thought was weird and shouldn't be practiced by restaurants - only out of the bottle should soda be charged for. All in all though this place comes highly recommended for authentic.
Authentic Mexican food that tastes great. Service is always pleasant and with a smile. My favorite meal is the chicken enchilada with rice. The Jose cuervo gold margarita was good, I just wished it was stronger. Parking is terrible. It seems as though they attempted to update the parking lines but cover up the old ones so the parking lot looks like bumper cars.
Had street tacos. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Big place, so the wait isn't too long. Reminds me of the places I used to frequent in other states with larger tex-mex offerings.
This place is awesome! The food was absolutely incredible. My wife got the super burrito and it was done to perfection. The flavor combination made me not want to stop eating. I got the taco dinner. Pork, steak and chicken. My favorite was the pork. Knocked the flavor out of the park. The chicken was a little dry and the steak was good. This place lived up to one of the areas best Mexican!
Excellent food, excellent service & excellent prices!! Was my very first visit, & it was a wonderful experience all around. I will definitely be back!!
Always a great place to some. Busy on the weekends and they don't take reservations but they move quick and the food is delicious. My personal favorite is the chicken enchiladas.
I don’t know where to begin. The first trip I made here was packed outside the doors so I left. Finally came back and have made multiple visits here. The food is very authentic and always cooked fresh and taste delicious! The super nachos are fantastic and their horchata is also very good! I’ve had the shrimp tacos and must say they are awesome. And to top it off the service is fantastic! And they have mariachi there for entertainment while you eat. It is a must that you go! If the line is long sit at the bar.
This place is really delicious, authentic. Fairly proced!
Awesome food like you get in Mexico.
Casual and fun. The service is quick and food is delicious. I will return.
Love it. Great pricing. Amazing food. And vegan fare shrooms!! Ohhhh yeah, live mariach!! #familyfav
Delicious food, great atmosphere and unbelievably low prices.
This has to be the best Mexican restaurant in Michigan. All the food I've had here has been amazing. It's all seasoned perfectly and comes out hot. The chips and salsa are amazing, the drinks are great. Even the mariachi band plays very well. Service was on point and the prices were cheaper than I expected. There no reason to go to any other place in Mexican town, this one's the best
Great best to have some authentic Mexican foods. The food there is wonderful. 8/10 would recommend.
Very good food and friendly sweet staff
I like the steak tacos the meat was so tender it felt like it melted in my mouth. I selected combo #1 for lunch. Although my tostada did fall apart to soft. But I probably should have eaten that first.
The food used to be good. Now.... nothing had any flavor. The service is slow too.
Horrible pitcher of Margaritas nothing but sour! You can do better then that.
I have been here at least 20 times would give Taqueria Mi Pueblo five stars easily. But they almost always fall short with the hostess and waitresses. Especially the head hostess. The lady who takes you to a table has a bad attitude. AlWAYS .One of the experiences of going to a good ,well ran restaurant is to have good service .Smiles ,a good attitude, small talk.Best food in the world and snotty bad attitudes just don't mix. 3 and a half Stars. Would come more often if they would only have a better attitude. Never hello ,never how are you, not even a thank you while paying or leaving. I really like the food.so I don't say anything. I don't want to get 86 from the place you know what I mean.
Our number one choice for Mexican food is Taqueria Mi Puebla! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu (steak and shrimp street tacos pictured) because it is all so good! The service is great even when they are packed and you can't go wrong with the atmosphere! You wont be disappointed if you decide to try them for yourself!
The food is so good here. My favorite is the gorditas
Very authentic and delicious... the best Mexican restaurant in Detroit in my opinion. Not only do they nail the basics as well or better than anyone else, but they have an extensive menu of "non-Americanized" fare that delivers an old school traditional Mexican home cooked experience that is hard to find. Great service backs up the outstanding kitchen and the tequila selection is pretty good. They always seem to be busy and full of regulars. This place is a must do!
Just found this restaurant after cruising around Southwest Detroit. We have been eating at a different Mexican restaurant that is very good but predictable so we wandered around. Well we were glad we did. Mi Pueblo's menu choices screamed out authentic and once we tried some they were. As soon as we were done eating we were already planning a return visit.
Service is slow or maybe just our dingy server was. Drinks were weaker than the white man's skin cells in the sunlight. Very cool music band tho
Did you ever experience a perfect dining experience, every time you visit a restaurant? If that is your desire, then that is what you'll find here!!
Consistently great service and delicious, reasonably priced food. The tacos dinner is fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.
Best Mexican food in Detroit. They are often busy on the weekend, but my experience is that the wait for a table is always less than they say it is, which I appreciate.
Food is fresh and served promptly. Servers are efficient and polite. I was disappointed that guacamole was not served on their flautas so I opted out and ordered the Birrea instead.
