Friendly staff, great selection of craft beers, and the best onion rings I've had in a long time. From burgers to soups salads to sandwiches and everything else in between, every meal is like a special occasion. Outdoor dining too, family friendly atmosphere with kids menu, or if you want to head to the bar and watch golf that's great too.

The perfect blend of nostalgia for a kid who grew up in Long Beach, eating at Benny's. Shortly before moving away, the first Swing belly's opened up near Lake Shore Drive. Now I get to enjoy a little bit of both in one location. Great menu. Great beers.

Google reviews let me down on this one. My friends said the ribs were good. Enjoyed the peel and eat shrimp.Potato skins, Asian salad and pulled pork were awful. Waitress was very nice.

Not impressed!!! Got a burger, no flavor at all!!! Good thing I got cheese on my burger for some kind of flavor. $2.25 extra for an upcharge of fries instead of chips!!! Just overall the food was not good! Atmosphere was nice, waitress was nice, good not so nice!

First time eating at Swingbelly's and was not disappointed! Perch was great! Very lightly breaded, flaky and served piping hot. Nice portion of corned beef and very flavorful. Tasty apple crisp w/vanilla ice cream to close it out. Nice local place, family atmosphere.

After not having visited Swingbelly's for the past 1-2 years I had heard of their $5 Monday burger special and decided to stop in. The 1/2lb burger was flawless and cooked perfectly. Good selection of very reasonably priced craft beers. Great atmosphere and a new spot in Northwest Indiana I will be regularly eating at. Highly recommended!

The food was ok but the waiter was horrible bad service he look like he was in la la land I would nerve go back he didn't tell us anything never came back to ask if everything was ok what a ads.the food was ok but very dry the hamburger was really dry. Their menu really didn't have much on it .i told the girls at the front desk about the waiter they just laughed it off bad service.they really didn't have enough help in their.all their people had a bad look on their face no smiles at all seem like they were very unhappy.the waiter wouldn't even smile didn't come to see if everything thing was ok .never go back with people like that.ill take my money else wear..i bet their manger doesn't give a rats HELL about the customers.

Pretty good place to eat. Just happened to be driving though the area, seen this place and just had to try it. Turns out that was a really good idea. The day was hot the beer was very cold and tasty. The waitress was very polite and friendly we decided to try a couple of sandwiches which were served in a timly manner. Very delicious. Will return for more.

I love this place so so much. My favorite thing to get is Mac and cheese. I shared many great memories with my family. I spilled root beer in my step dad's shoe on my b-day. I was told we're going to Wisconsin dells. It was so amazing. I loved it but this place is just so good I love there food great service nice place to eat with a family.

Horrible experience. I visited Swingbelly’s yesterday, Fathers Day. I decided to take my husband and children somewhere new since we’re new to Michigan City. We were there for a good 20 minutesand so many waiters and waitresses walked pass and no one even said hi to us. We were not offered water or anything outside of being seated. I could understand if it was so crowded that they said “someone will be with you in a moment” but we didn’t even get that. As soon as we got up to leave, a waiter walked over saying “I just talked to my hostess and come to find out, you haven’t been waited on yet.” But that was the same guy that just stared at us for what seemed like forever. We were very disappointed and left. My little children 4 years old and 2 years old couldn’t understand why no one came and talked to us. It was very gut wrenching. I had high hopes from this place as I was referred to it by a conductor on the South Shore train.

We were in a large group (15) and the staff was awesome! Our server was great, the food was good, surprisingly everything was still hot when it got to the table. I heard grumbling as we entered...the food would be cold....drinks never get refilled with groups this large...etc ... And this was from our group before we were even seated! But as we walked out EVERYONE was happy. We had burgers, chicken, perch, Philly beef, soup, and it was all delicious! Thanks for helping to make our field trip day a huge success!

Really bummed about the dining experience. The photos in the restaurant's advertisement are not what my family received. The food tasted okay, just something unoriginal that you could make at home. On top of the averge food was an unfriendly waitress that seemed off-putting to order from. As far as drinks go, the Moscow Mules were very watered down.

Burger and sandwich place with nice ambiance and decent food. I liked the way the place is decorated, and it has a open light feel. The food was OK, but nothing special. My salmon burger had a processed somewhat dry salmon patty, served up with fries. Good selection of local beer. Vegetarian options available.

We were in New Buffalo and both restaurants had a wait time of an hour and a half to 2 hours so we started driving and found Swingbellys. No wait. Food was great. Prices were in line with the amount of food we got. Our waitress was attentive and very sweet. Will definitely go back when we are in the area again!
